Cedar Atlas

The opening of Cedar Atlas transported me to the beautiful Land of Cedar. It isn't the Cedar of wood freshly cut, it is a cedar kingdom, that is not quite as refined as some other tamed cedars but I like the biting sharpness. I wish the sillage and longevity were better. It turns into a skin scent in under 3 hours. The leather is understated but present. The other notes are supporting roles, but a few are the equivalent of an attribute actor walking across the background in a film that has one main star. Not sure I would buy a full bottle. But its opening blast makes me feel I have entered a magical land.

The leather note gives it a dry, polished edge that feels modern and minimal rather than heavy. On my skin it becomes a clean woody veil with a soft green bite, calm, dry, and crisp at the same time. It feels like walking into cold morning air after a warm room.

This may very well be a fine woody, leatherfragrance that leans more to the masculine side of unisex. However, it is way too masculine for my taste and has a dusty, dirty ashtray smell on my skin. I really do not like it at all, and my first experience with it has caused me to scrub after the first half hour, something I rarely do. Please keep in mind that this review represents my personal likes/dislikes and skin chemistry. If you tend to enjoy these types of notes, give it a try, as it seems to be well blended!

I had high hopes for this (on paper it falls into the same category as Lalique Equus), but there's too much Ambroxan in this. Ruins it completely. Disappointing.

تعتبر شجرة الارز شجرة نادرة حيث انها تتواجد في اماكن قليلة في العالم.. و هي شجرة معمرة قد يصل عمر بعضها الى ثلاثة الاف سنة و هي دائمة الخضرة سريعة النمو و لها استخدامات شتى منذ الازل.. للارز اكثر من نوع منها الارز اللبناني Cedrus libani و الذي يعتبر رمزا مقدسا للبنان و عنوانا للحضارة الفينيقية كما ذكر في التوراة و الانجيل.. لكنه اليوم للاسف مهدد بالانقراض.. نوع اخر من شجر الارز هو ارز الاطلس Cedrusatlantica المتواجد في جبال اطلس الشهيرة في المغرب و هو شديد الشبه بالارز اللبناني.. و اخيرا الارز النحاسي و يتواجد في امريكا الشمالية تحديدا كندا.. يمتاز شجر الارز برائحة عطرية نفاذة رائعة مميزة.. تدخل في كثير من العطور كما تعتمد عليها بعض العطور فتجسد بيئة معينة.. فهذا العطر يعتبر محاكاة لنزهة ربيعية في تلك الغابات الباردة باشجارها الباسقة تعانق اغصانها السماء في يوم مشمس.. العطر من دار فرنسية جديدة Première Note و التقيته صدفة وانا لا اقاوم تجربة اي عطر يحمل كلمة Cèdre.. اعجبتني بساطته و ايقظ حواسي و كأن نسمات باردة من جبال اطلس هاجمتني ولامست وجنتي و جعلتني اعيش التجربة خلال لحظات.. العطر فيه لمحات جلدية و زهرية خاصة في القلب.. و القليل من التوابل الا ان رائحة الارز كانت طاغية بشدة يصعب معها تمييز نوتات اخرى الا بعد فترة طويلة حين يهدأ.. وجدته رائعا عند مزجه مع عطور اخرى من نفس المجموعة خاصة Orange Calabria و Rose Damas.. و هذا ما نصحوني به لكني فضلت ان احتفظ بهذه الرائحة المحببة المنعشة التي استحضرت في خيالي حنيناً خاصاً الى احب الاماكن الى قلبي
