Gravitas Capitale

This is the tuberose fragrance for people who do not like tuberose! I used to be one of those people.. I thought tuberose often became too indolic no matter how it was composed. I have grown to really enjoy it, but this fragrance in particular is perfect for people who see tuberose the same way. The composition is green with only a gentle creaminess and sweetness. It does not go full floral which I appreciate. Yes there is citrus in the opening, but as it develops, it drifts away. The fragrance is blended so beautifully that it's rather difficult to pick out specific notes. It's more about a general feeling. I have to say this brand is of significant quality. I wish I could have one of each because I'm so impressed. It feels like everything has been thought about with Great intent. This is such a sophisticated floral. In my opinion, one of the best white floral fragrances I have smelled in a long time. Dichotomy and duality is being expressed here. Here and in every other fragrance from the brand. Juxtaposition between notes. Almost like a conversation that is being had while wearing it.

Gravitas Capitale smells like discipline, intellect, and control. It’s quietly powerful, a scent that doesn’t shout, yet everyone nearby senses its authority. The composition feels like tailored structure: precise woods, aromatic freshness, and a calm steadiness that never breaks rhythm. It’s Bond at his desk, or a CEO preparing for negotiations, clean suit, stillness, confidence. Over time, a softer warmth comes through, making it more approachable but never casual. Gravitas Capitale is for the person who’s already composed, not the one trying to be.

Sebastian Erdland ... your reviews sound incredibly fake. They make me want to hate anything you comment positively about. Gravitas Capitale is better than its current score of 3.75. The predominant note I get is unlisted ginger. The tuberose is expertly blended with citruses, ginger, other florals and ... pavement lol, to the point where the tuberose is lovely and not indolic whatsoever. This smells quite a bit like Louis Vuitton’s On The Beach to my nose. If it wasn’t for Erdland turning me off to this, I may have bought a bottle. It is quite nice. And I agree wholeheartedly with Nessers (about almost everything she reviews actually) that this is the tuberose fragrance for people who don’t like tuberose. 4.1 from me

I am definitely not an expert on tuberose fragrances. I know Fracas, its’ many protegés, and I know a handful of unique contemporary tuberose fragrances that stand out as very attractive in my memory (Nuit de Bakélite, T by Galimard). This is a competent and easy to wear tuberose with a delicious citrus opening and a mineral, spa-like quality into the drydown. I would wear this. I may not have loved Doppel Däncers, but I may have better luck with this one and Albâtre Sépia. 3 out of 5.
