Indigo Night

Purple animalic leather. This scent is everything its description promises. Jacaranda in its purple Fanta glory (methyl anthranilate for the win>>>) and a mellowing herbal chamomile dance on the top while the remaining purple florals linger a step beneath. The violet/orris ionones act as a perfectly placed cushion between the heavy base and soft top. A faintly juicy blackcurrant adds to that initial purple effect but retreats before too long. Clove, fenugreek, and nutmeg add warm glowing spice while the patchouli/labdanum/cade trio gives a slightly resinous murkiness (definitely not patchouli coeur). The semi-stanky animalic base is heavily rooted and the bulk of the show: hyraceum, leather, and tobacco. I don’t think this one would work on younger people AS well but this is still a true masterclass in perfumery. My only complaint is that it can get a bit cloying after a while due to its density (a microdose of eucalyptol for some cool diffusion might’ve helped) but otherwise this is bulletproof. Update: This is quickly becoming my favorite Prin release. It’s so damn good

Don’t sleep on Prin! This is my 3rd full bottle from him and can’t wait for four. Super talented all three of Prin’s lines are super unique, complex, inviting, while also feeling fresh and experimental. Anyway - I agree with the last review. This fragrance absolutely smells purple (or “indigo”) A juicy floral, firmly rooted in reality. Or, maybe hyper-real? Not candy sweet. More like plum sweet. Definitely more flowers than fruit. Chamomile, leather, amber. Fabulous - 8.29797/10

Comparing this to haxan??? Oh it’s getting sampled it is don’t worry Ehhh okay sampled it.... Where are y’all getting haxan from??? It’s beautiful but nothing like haxan whatsoever. I want it though it’s this big fat inky purple beast with a herbal heart resting under a leather canopy. This is gonna make me sound crazy but smells like amouage fate woman but less opulent and translated through an edgy modern lense whereas fate was more classic mature perfumery.

this perfume smells like a horse barn turned into a spice market you browse on a cold winter evening, it dries down more sweet and floral

I feel conflicted because I respect the depth of this perfumery, but I absolutely hate the smell of this on my skin. Some notes are conflicting, and I am getting something... rotten. Like old fruit. And, at the end, maybe even a little stale urine. Maybe it's the hyrax with the florals, although I do not typically have a problem with animalic notes. I'll try more by Prin, but I will not be touching this one again for awhile.

I get the purple. I really like the opening, when the violets are more dominant. As it settles the earthiness comes out. Or is it the tobacco? Touch or sour to it (maybe). I don’t get much fruits. Quite unique and it has strong performance. Might be a bit too cerebral for me. Dry down wasn’t to my liking.

Grape like purple perfume. Intoxicating with some pissy animalics as well. Creamy with the florals. It’s ok, not full bottle worthy. 7/10

I have a few Prins in my collection Arsalan , Burmite Honey , Homa . Indigo nights is absolutely a gorgeous, gorgeous perfume .

Interested until I saw the hyrax
