If you read the notes list, this is EXACTLY what it claims to be. It promised sheep. PRIN delivers sheep. But like... she's a clean girly. This is not dirty animalic despite the notes of mushroom and peat. Important flag up front: as an extrait with a bold amount of projection, I would not recommend wearing this in enclosed spaces unless you know everyone's going to be okay with an unconventional perfume. I'd put it in the same category as horse barns (cleaned/recently mucked) and railway creosote. It's not unpleasant, but it is asking the audience to meet it half-way unless you have specific childhood nostalgia for it. Not saying it smells like a horse barn or railway ties, just that it sits in the same family of divisiveness. I'm not great at describing perfume with standard language so bear with me here. I've never had a perfume cycle through scents so quickly. I'm talking seconds, not minutes or hours. Opened with what I think is milk and sheep, very quickly detoured into bitter greens (think fresh cut grass, the taste of dandelion leaf), then slowly turned warm again. After an hour of sitting with it on my skin, it is right back to sheep and grassy buttermilk. Now, about the sheep: I find it comforting. It is not a conventionally "pretty" scent. Animalic is way too vague of a descriptor. If you have smelled unrefined lanolin or wet wool before, it's a milder version of that. If you haven't smelled lanolin or wool: think cumin's warmer, human facets (vaguely sweat-adjacent) combined with faceplanting in a field of damp grass. I would suggest obtaining a sample unless you're extremely confident in your taste when it comes to blind buying... ... Or, if you're like me, you see "1 of 5 stars, very weird, not my idea of Scotland's seashore" as a review on a certain retail site and impulsively purchase the full bottle. Listen: I had to know. Bless her; the poor lass saw a cobalt blue glass with one (1) Gaelic word, ignored the notes of wool absolute, lanolin, peat, immortelle, and went "well, shit, may as well be Belhaven Bay." Bonus Notes: the sheep smell is convincing enough that my dog had his nose glued to my arm for five minutes straight. I own twelve other perfumes and this is the only one he has ever shown this much interest in. May be the best (or worst) thing to wear to a dog park.

Sickening floral decomposition quickly giving way to wet, crisp notes of loamy soil and mycelial turnover. Very austere and impressively photorealistic. It's like lifting a rotting log and taking a full face of the microbiome beneath. The smell of waning seasons, a November forest shrouding itself in decay. Ultimately it settles into a pretty quiet musk and mushroom mix. Very inspiring. Love this one, but not a casual wear. Maybe for layering.

Since there's not many references to go off of, this has a lot of similarities to Prin's other creation Zoologist - Sloth, Sloth is more playful and experimental, this one is more refined, mature, centers more around the mushroom note. Definitely wouldn't wear this but it's absolutely photorealistic in setting a *very* damp forest, the rain just stopped but it's still completely cloudy.
