L'Or de Bourbon

Omg no lol. This is a filthy bathroom at a hole in the wall bar that someone sprayed some fruity air freshener in. It’s that dang honey... I love a well executed honey note but sometimes it just goes full urine. It loses some of the urine scent as it dries down but it never really goes away. The fruits are okay but definitely read a bit cheap bathroom freshener. Just had to get in the shower to get this off me. Only plus side is that it does perform well..... if you’re into this sort of scent.

This smells mostly like artificial fruit candies and stale urinal cake. Surpisingly pretty sharp and indolic considering there aren't white florals in the notes. This is not at all comparable to Angel nor does it smell like Bourbon. Perhaps my nose is just off but there's something here that unfortunately gives off some festival porta-potty vibes.

This is an interesting fragrance, and I'm not sure if I like it. A recent blind buy, L'Or comes in a stylish bottle that will look great on display. As for what's inside ... the notes listed in the pyramid don't make individual appearances, the scent is a fairly thick melange. And while there's nothing wrong with that per se, I'm a bit disappointed the promised big strawberry and honey note don't stand out. Lasting power/sillage are moderate. L'Or is feminine trending. The problem I have with this fragrance is the resemblance to Angel. Both frags share a sweetish, almost liquorice note which may originate from the tonka or the musk ambrette. Liquorice isn't my thing, and neither is Angel, although that iconic perfume has wound its way into my collection. I'm going to give L'Or a chance to work its magic, maybe it'll win me over. Angel has revealed unexpected notes which almost make the patchouli onslaught bearable. Time will tell if L'Or will prove to be more than the sum of its parts.
