Moments Eau de Toilette

Does anyone know where I can still find this perfume...in UK preferably? I used to wear this in my 20s, when at uni, it was my signature scent and everyone complimented me on it all the time. I remember I pinched it from my mum, it smelled gorgeous and had very good staying power. Edit: So I managed to track my precious down, with the help of lovely fragranticans here. Now I own EDP, EDT and the parfum version and yes, they are all slightly different. Parfum version is my favourite. It smells heavenly, smooth, almost vintage, amazing longevity, no sourness or screechiness. To me this one smells more like an aldehyde scent, as it is described here. EDT sits somewhere in between parfum and EDP. It is less smooth than parfum but less sharp and screechy than EDP. I think this is the version I used to own in early 2000s. It is more wearable than EDP, with the same longevity. This one feels it's somewhere between aldehyde and chypre. EDP is a different beast. It opens a bit sour and quite 'screechy' which I think must be due to the mixture of aldehydes and leather. Then the sweet bitternes comes through, which smells quite chypre-like. This version can be quite hard to wear due to very harsh opening notes but once they have gone, it smells almost the same as the parfum. TBH, EDP scent is almost identical to the scented Moments shower gel which in itself is quite potent. The opening notes of EDP are somewhat similar to Montana Parfum which I detest but the combinatin of peach and leather in both perfumes seems to achieve that sour/sweet screechy effect which is present in both of them. If you own the scented shower gel and the body lotion, then only apply the scent sparingly as they are all very potent.

Once in a while, there is a celeb fragrance that hits it right-Catherine Deneuve, Cher, SJP's Lovely. Moments is on that short list. Officially, I have seen it listed as a Floral Animalic Chypre, and it remains true to that category. The aldehydic sweet floral, herbal, powdery top notes supercede the heart and base only for a few moments, but the combination is intoxicating. The peach/bergamot pairing is reminiscent of Mitsouko by Guerlain (interestingly, they have some heart and base notes in common as well, but the overall compositions are very different). The floral heart is deep and complex, with strong notes of tuberose, rose, jasmine, and lily of the valley, and are anchored by the orris root. The entire composition rests on the outrageous base-it has every animalic fixative out there. The strong base makes this a long wearing scent even in the Edt, although I wear the pure parfum as well (I have lots of this to swap!). Interestingly, there is no spice in this scent. Thank goodness, since it's busy enough in there! My "panel" says it smells like "old ladies", and I can't disagree. This perfume has the grandeur of an old, classic scent. Frankly, Moments is a perfume created by and for women-it is not feminine enough to please men, or women who are interested in impressing them. The only thing holding this scent back from notoriety is the fact that it was launched as a mid-level perfume, and later sold in drugstores. Look past the marketing to the genius of its composition.

This is so so gorgeous and nostalgic. One of those perfumes that one can easily define as "perfumey". To my nose this is not a tuberose or amber or civet or whatever-dominated perfume, this is just an extremely potent, old-school, in your face perfume. Like the classic Dolce&Gabbana for her, LouLou, White Diamonds and many other perfumes of those times, this is just "too much of everything", and glorious in that aspect. If I were to decompose it, yes, I get the floral aspect, I get the depth which is maybe the blend of amber and labdanum, I definitely get some sharpness from the civet and the oakmoss, but none of these jumps right in my face and rules all the others. I also realized I might've smelled something very similar to this in my childhood (end of 90's), but it wasn't this precise one (women used to wear the classic Vanderbilt, the Charlies, Cool water and many drugstore no-name stuff which tried to imitate the classics of those times) and that got me extremely nostalgic. All in all, if you want a confidence boost, a melancholy vibe or just wanna do a full immersion in the glorious 80's, this is the perfect choice for that. Today I found a bottle in a shop, immediately went nostalgic with it, to the age of 16 in Vienna, this and it's deodorant were the first things I purchased that trip, the second was a lot of Yves Rocher perfumes (all discontinued now). I still detect a strong artificial peach note that I enjoy, but in general it is a day scent, casual but feminine. Edit: although the bottle is old, but the juice smells exactly like I smelled back then early 90's, deep and rich, yet childish. It reminds me of Diva by Emanuel Ungaro , not the recent Diva, but the one you smelled early 80's when it was newly released. It takes a big character from Chypre perfume family, I can call it a Clean Chypre indeed, or create a special Olfactory Group for it (if it doesn't exist yet) and call it Aldehyde Fruity Clean Chypre with confidence.

Seeking woody white florals. Sweet and animalic are welcome to apply. I knew nothing of Moments until a couple of weeks ago when I was struck by the BBB (blind buying bug). I was little apprehensive after purchasing but my worries have been dispelled. Moments is a winner in my book! I have the EDT which I find to be similar to Joop! Femme, only Moments is softer overall. It is gorgeously warm, smooth and sunny in a wholesome sort of way. The aldehydes aren't huge here as they can be in some other creations of the time. Not normally a fan of tuberose or amber which are rated very highly in the pyramid, I am little bit confused as to how we're getting along so well! The civet blends beautifully with the florals, so that everything feels bathed in gold. So glad I took the chance. Moments is a keeper.

Just got this perfume from a german site after searching for it for a long time now, cause its not the easiest way to find it.But finaly it was worth it!! Im not an expert to describe very well the notes of this perfume but the only thing i have to say is: '' A MASTERPIECE!!! So unique, in comparison to the current perfumes, so beautiful, elegant smell!The smell which comes out from this gorgeous perfume is rare, vintage from another era. I detect the smell of almond which is not listed.Long lasted perfume. I see the woman who wears this perfume on elegant chic ivoir dress.What to say more, than i will treasure my little diamond cause the price of it as well was of a diamond's price.. Never mind, worth it! Great satisfaction!

I have a new hair conditioner from Dessange and the nostalgic smell of it reminded me of something nice, but I could not quite figure out what. Bingo! This is Moments! Oh, how lovely this smelled! I was a teenage girl back then and this scent smelled so feminine and grown up to me. Comforting and mellow, such a beautiful combination of peony (this flower is not listed, probably the combination of rose and peach smelled like peony to my nose), amber, orris root and intoxicating touberose. I still remember how long lasting this perfume was. It can hardly be considered modern or up to date nowadays, but for me it is full of happy memories.

Just received mine, and it's lovely! The tuberose is dominant but is softer than any I've smelled previously. It's unlike other florals and especially unlike aldehydes which do not treat my nose nor appetite well. So very feminine and pretty. (I sense the vanilla peaking through now.) A great fragrance for a first date, church, the office, and probably anywhere. I might update when I've had more time with her but for now, I'll simply say this was a great blind buy based on earlier reviews.

Ooh-la-la! I am new to this one n wish I had known about it years ago. Am definitely a huge fan! One of the best fragrances out there! Rare, vintage, hard to find but worth it! Great staying power n sillage! I will be stocking up for sure! Don't want to be without this in my collection! Reminds me of GREAT LOVE! Enough said!

this was my first ever perfume given to me by my dad in the 90's and ever till this day i still remember it... just wish i could purchase it again now...this is definitely my best perfume ever

I don't agree that Moments is not wearable these days.I'm a below thirty gourmand/floralfruity lover yet I adore Moments Last year I came across a very reasonabley priced 1oz size of it so decided to order it for my aunt,I was almost sure I'm going to hate it but when I sprayed it on my hand,I knew right away that I have to search for another gift for my aunt.it was a love at first sniff! I don't like vaguely aldehydic scents like Chanel No.5 so I'm very glad that Moments isn't that aldehydic,at least not on me.what I smell the most is a glorious tuberose dominsnt florals and some powder wrapped by a warm,sweet,slightly spicy,animalic honey-like amber,and yes I can pickup hints of leather,moss,vanilla,even a bit of fruits.it's so complex that each time I wear it,one of the notes shine to me the most. Moments taught me that there's no need to be afraid when I see civet in a pyramid.that it can add such a deep and sexy warmth to a perfume that is so addictive.I can see that moments is different with modern perfumes but I feel great when I wear it.it's not old IMHO.it's SEXY,even naughty in a mature feminine way.it's so deep and delicious in a non-foody way.I have used it all year round except summer,both days and nights and always received complements such as you smell different in a good way I wish I had more of it but right now I have to treasure every drop of my tiny 30 mil bottle(BTW,I even love it's bottle).it's a heavy perfume so even a heavy sprayer like me should use it with caution Now I know that even though I wasn't lucky with masterpieces such as Shalimar,Mitsoko and Chanel No.5,there are still a lot of pre 2000 perfumes that I can enjoy even more my modern gourmands such as this beauty,also Joop Femme,Jean Patou Joy,Ungaro Ungaro,Ungaro Senso,Organza,Rochas Tocade,Venesia,Poison,Gres Cabotine &... Moments is old-fashioned in the best way. An aldehydic floral chypre with a vintage-style floral heart, it is one of the best celebrity scents out there, and is also little-known, at least in my neck of the woods. I read about Moments several years ago from a perfume blog/article, where someone was reminiscing about how good it was, and my curiosity was piqued. I came across a vintage miniature on eBay, and loved it so much that I tracked down a sealed full bottle. Moments is housed in an unfortunately drab bottle, which may not have helped it translate to commercial success, as whatsthatsmell205 below points out. But the scent inside is great. Moments opens with sweet juicy peach, tempered by zesty citrus. Strong, soapy aldehydes, reminiscent of White Linen are the focal point of the opening, providing radiant freshness. The aldehydes are a little too intense initially, but serve to blow away the cobwebs as the scent develops. A floral accord emerges as it develops, with indolic jasmine and sweet rose leading the way. Waxy, slightly green tuberose rounds it out, and I get a hint of green muguet in there too, lifting the heady bouquet a little. It is powdery, enhanced by the iris that emerges a little later, and the overall effect is of a heady, powdery old-fashioned bouquet. The aldehydes keep things fresh and soapy, but vanish before the drydown. It becomes quite animalic as it dries down, with a mossy leather accord emerging on my skin. A hint of oakmoss and a cloud of patchouli add earthiness. A nice amber accord develops, with labdanum in there and a hint of vanilla adding some sweetness. It remains animalic until it fades, becoming a dry, musky-leather skin scent skin scent. It is long-lasting with quite strong sillage - excellent performance for an EDT, even by vintage standards. A bold, vintage-style "kitchen-sink" of a fragrance, Moments is well-constructed, balanced and cohesive. Vintage glamour, in the vein of Van Cleef & Arpels First, Madame Rochas or - to a lesser extent - Dioressence. Great stuff. 4/5.

Hello lovelies, I finally managed to get a sample and have to tell about it to all people all over the world! :D This fragrance means a lot to me because it was my signature scent when I met my husband. I was about 20 then. He loved this fragrance, it was so seductive to him :) My fragrance tastes changed since then and when the sample arrived, I recognized this scent at once. Whoa, this is so heavy like Kenzo's Elephant! In fact, it has something in common with Kenzo's first fragrances, f.ex. Ca Sent Beau, and even with Le Tigre or Elephant (the power). What strikes me at once is an animal-dark-sad-sharp note. This perfume at first seems vintage a lot. I thought it was a sad fragrance and it smelt with lilies I don't see listed, unless it's lily-of-the-valley ;), much civet, tuberose, leather. Then the fragrance became more pleasant and bearable because the first notes are hard. It becomes sweet, animalistic oriental, very seductive, makes you drunk with the fragrance ;) It's spicy like my all-time-favourite for 5 years Kenzo Jungle Le Tigre and P. Presley does have something in common with them, it's just more retro due to aldehydes. All in all I like it, but it isn't easy to wear and literally a drop is enough for me.

I remember I loved the fragrance in my 20's. How I wish I could refresh my memory! It was my signature scent then, I remember it was sweet and feminine in quite mature, but not too mature way. I really consider buying it to try after about 14 years if I have a chance. Ingredients don't look good compared to what I like nowadays (I don't like aldehydes, patchouli and leather) but I don't think my taste changed so much to hate what I truly loved...

I was 10 or 11 when I smelled this in a tester and loved it so much I asked it as a birthday gift from my aunt and 30 years later I still own The bottle. Its a little bit off but The drydown remains beautiful, a real melancholic trip for me to smell this

Wow.This is beautiful.I found a small bottle at an antique mall and i didnt know what it was for a few months.I know i liked it but i didnt know the name of the scent.My first impression was that it is similar to White Diamonds.It is,but it has some greenery that sends it off into 70s chypre-land. I probably wont ever find a vintage version of this ever again,so i use it sparingly.Looking at the reviews posted by Sherihan helped me discover the identity of my cute little mystery bottle.I dont know how i managed to miss this one back in the day.My loss,for sure.

Start with an aldehydblast soon followed by a warm honeynote that at my skin follows through all the stages of this beautiful perfume. Stage 2 a bouqet of flowers starts developing - can't singel out any of them - this is just so wellbalansed. Stage 3 - a little more of vanilla and amber but still the flowers linger. It is a qualityperfume for sure but from the style I would have guessed it was from the 70-ies. Can strongly recomend this to someone looking for a perfume for a real lady.

My daughter was very sick in hospital & Priscilla came to the hospital to visit all the kids. It was almost mothers day 1996. She gave all the kids beautiful teddy bears & all the mums got a bottle of Moments. For me it was the most amazing smelling perfume ever. A few weeks after i got home i went to use it & it was all gone , my 11 year old daughter felt the same easy lol. I've been looking everywhere for it ever since but have not been able to find it . SO SAD>>

My mum had this perfume and I loved it on her. I am not too fond of aldehydes in general but I sooo loved how the rose, the tuberose, the jasmin and the patchouli came out on my mum's skin. Moments was really well done and could pass as one of the great femminine classics. It it was still available I would not hesitate to buy and give it to my mum. If you still have it, enjoy and treasure it!

I was 20-something when it came out and I loved it immediately and forever. And I had all that was available: body lotion, EDT and EDP and sth else (can't remember now: body spray?). My husband would drop dead now if I wore it today because it would most certainly remind him of our best moments: at work, in life and in love. The 1990s were the best moments for us most definitely!

I first hated it. Too sweet and too much honey. But after giving it a try, I ended up loving it. The overall-sweetness eventually faded avay and I just smelled somehow spicy and just yummy. Too bad I can't find it any more. And too bad i was 20 and trying to wear-and glamorously failing- a mature perfume. But I would gladly give it another try now.

I have this one & use it sparingly because it's so hard to find. Ms.Presley used to have a website & had some of her colognes listed on it but I haven't looked in a while. Not sure why more celbrity fragrances don't stick around for longer. I loved Sarah Jessica Parker's Covet which is no longer available.

Calls to mind a hybrid of Diva/Coriandre/Knowing and Montana Parfum de Peau, but unique enough not to be redundant with any of those. Unfortunately, it was held back by insipid Avon-style packaging that screamed "Meemaw's Toilet Water." If this had been marketed better, it would have been a classic.

this Pefume was given to me as a present by a real gentleman , he is in heaven today , the frgarance is so elegant , it makes me think of him apart that i can smell it all day long , but i prefer it in the evenings ,,, i am looking to buy more of it and im deperate ,,,

I received this as a Christmas gift back i the 90's when it first came out. It smells so good but I was in my 20's and didn't appreciate the scent. Now it seems to be hard to find and a lot more expensive than I remember. But worth every penny.

how can you check "I had it" and "I want it" the same time. It was my teenager dream. So intensive, but still so mature:) Perfumes that time were made in a more respectfull way than now. Now almost everything smells like flower&candy shop...

this is a sweet perfume ...very powerful - it last very much - i like this perfume and i am not a big admire of very sweet perfumes ...makes me think of an arabian story and it's night and you dream and dream

Strongly reminiscent vault Especially the first few minutes. After that, it is flowery oriental with distinct honey accents. Smells very fabric softener

I received this one as gift back in 1999 and the moment I sprayed it on me, I loved it. I would still like to buy it again.

Heavy, heady, strong, old fashioned. Non wearable now. Not for this century. But yes amazing.
