Akhetaten

This is an absolute Masterpiece, a well-thought-out and blended story made into a mystical scent, remembering the times when the pharaoh Akhenaten was there. The story is deep and complex, but going beyond the idea of Prin, we can describe this as one of the best blends he dedicated to Egypt. This smells like an insane amount of flowers and incense placed masterfully in a sweet yet balanced wooden bed that grows and grows and flies all around your head and above, it takes you right there next to Paraoh and goes way deeper the more you listen and watch the smell, around the middle the Amber or whatever he used to create this deep darkness is present, and pleasantly fades into a nice leathery and woody scent that stays on your skin and eradicates power, there is quit a bit of oil, Wich i love as it stays on the skin like a nectar, one single hit of the bottle makes you fly, is that well engineered and thought, i am glad you made me find a new dimension compared to anything commercial out there. Teletransportation? a film, a dream, an experience, and passion in a bottle. This isn't easy to pull off imo, once you get in any room, it will be like the Paraoh arrived, the impact will be devastating, I am not joking, it's almost scary how good it is for me. You want to respect it deeply. This is worth the money, and not only, i feel like I have to say Thank you to Pris and this creation — one of the best scents in my collection, I think many people are still trying to achieve this level of refinery, but fail miserably, you clearly have a unique talent.

Very lovely indeed - one of Prin's sweetest yet most elegant amber-orientals, with none of the reeky oud or wild overload often to be found in his catalogue. If anything, tending a little conventional and femme (!) - presenting as a sleek, well-built, almost classic model myrrh-centric grande dame. Its lotus loveliness has a little in common with Zoologist's Sacred Scarab, but this one is something of real antiquity and character while the Scarab is more of a Technicolor modern fantasia on the Egyptian theme. To add touches of not just one but three of my nemesis notes (fenugreek, licorice, vetiver, in descending order of hatefulness) and still make me love it is just further proof of the Lomros magic. They're all mercifully discreet here - and the jasmine, while very fragrant and present, doesn't get urinous or overbearing either. Cinnamon surges and swells more in the drydown, which for my taste is never bad. It's shimmery and golden and lovely all the way, upmarket and distinctive without being wilfully eccentric or aloof and remote. Closest perhaps to Nefer, in the gorgeous galaxy of Prin/Prissana/Strangers universe. Projection and longevity rather quieter than much else in the range, so you may want to compare & contrast it with some others from the house before plumping for a final favourite. Because I love the house most at its wildest and strangest, I think it's stronger when doing even odder things (Tirtha, Dunhuang, Anatolia etc) - but if you want things less weird but still wonderful, Akhetaten could be ecstatic.

Spicy, well balanced dark jasmine with a dash of dirty. Really beautiful on the skin. Drydown is sandalwood dominant with some hints of amberiness and incense. It is irridescent on skin and changes so much from top to base. Liking it a lot lot.
