Mohragot

Okay, so I literally blind-bought this because this is my actual name so I was like “of COURSE I have to get this” lol. BUT it also has been a great entrée into Prin Lomros’ work. Looking over the notes, I can pick out each individual one with each sniff—the vetiver, the oakmoss, the lime, the pepper, etc.—but my impression just smelling it: mulch. 🥰 Not the kind that’s already got that pungent fertilizer or whatever in it, but that wood mash stuff in the bag you buy from, like, DIY store. The incense eventually starts to come up and permeate everything, making the scent almost camphoraceous. Wonderfully complex and evocative, and I can’t wait to explore his other works. 🥰 Edit: Haven't smelt this in a while. I'm not sure if it's "macerated" or because I'm trying this in cool, damp weather, but I'm getting less mulch lol. Opening is bitter greens, with a licorice note--decay. It's thicker, so it melds more with that incense and camphor. Overall feel is a decaying moss floor threatening to overtake you in a damp forest, with some small flowers beginning to shoot. Still evocative--you could write stories to this.

An evocative smoky greenish Oriental fougere, this is a nice offering from Prin Lomros. The perfume opens with greenish notes of betel and pandanus leaf, bergamot and tree bark. The heart is a variety of florals with some cloves, cinnamon and incense providing the smokiness. The perfume settles into a powdery base of woody notes, benzoin, vetiver and oakmoss. This is a unisex perfume with moderate projection and sillage and good longevity. The perfume name ‘Mohragot’ aptly translates to ‘emerald’ in Thai aptly and while it is quite nice, it does not represent this talented perfumers best work. However Oriental lovers and those seeking adventurous perfumes will find a lot to enjoy in here.

I can actually see what both reviewers have said so far. While I don't get a strong lime or bleach smell from this, I do get a bit of the smell of the cakes that are placed on men's urinals. That being said, this is not a bad fragrance at all. It is green fragrance with some smoke, powder, and woods. The powder reminds me of the slightly minty powder vibe from the gum in packs of baseball cards. Again... I hope I don't deter anyone from my lack of evocative association. This is a good fragrance that leans masculine. I just don't think it is a great one.

This one oscillates between being very green in a nice way and then more like a realistic gardening smell of potting soil and green plants. Applying too much could be annoying. It smelled more exotic when I put very little on before.

To me (Asian), this fragrance has a very religious feel. Like something I would hear on my way to a mountain temple. I would describe it this way because I do it often. A demure fragrance, definitely not for a night of passion. I use it on days when I'm so busy that I can't control my mental state. It helps me stay calm. Not sure what people from other parts of the world think.

You're the humid air lingering in a freshly-cleaned restroom at a Mexican restaurant, saturated with remnants of bleach, lime, and smoked chorizo. Mohragot by Parfum Prissana.

Another interesting fragrance from Prin, and perhaps a good entry point to his work for someone who wants a sample of what the Prin DNA is. I do not have much to add other than to advise a potential buyer to read all the previous reviews - I agree with pretty much all of them. This is a murky green fougere with a nice element of oud that appears on application and lasts until the fragrance fades after 6/8 hours. Sometimes reminding me of a nice bulging bag of mulch, at othertimes of sitting by a pond, and other times of a chorizo & lime stew simmering over a smoky fire. Non of these are particularly smells that I want to smell like but somehow this still works and is not repulsive to the general masses. The opening is much harsher than the dry-down, worth the wait. Not my favourite fragrance by Prin but it is nice!! 6.5/10

a very moist, green, vegetal mix. i was originally intrigued by the pandanus, but unfortunately, it is NOT how I had imagined it to be... the vetiver is quite dominant, too. not a fan of vetiver. not at fan at ALL. there is quite a bit of green/chlorophyll in this mix, and the marigold, unfortunately, does not blunt or mute this. i'm hoping this develops over the course, i really do...
