Thichila

Very beautiful (and soft) floral oud from Prin. Thichila opens softly smoked oud, gently animalic (but nowhere near barnyard or blue cheese) resting on top of creamy white flowers, myrrh, stone fruit, and a saffron-leather accord. As it dries down, the saffron, stone fruit, and oud become stronger, reminding me a lot of Oud Osmanthus by Mona Di Orio but more natural smelling. The end result is an almost osmanthus-like, powdery leather mixed with oud. Funny enough, I've been looking for a good osmanthus-oud combo and I'd never have expected Thichila would do it for me given there's no osmanthus listed here. Unfortunately, it goes to the deep drydown pretty fast (within 3 hours), and all that remains is a generic woody aromachem trail without any of the beautiful oud or flowers that characterized the opening and middle. I think it is fantastic in the first phase, just wish that remained throughout the scent.

I just got sample of this from my purchase of Natsumeku. Start with a punch of a sexy Siamese oud paired with styrax, smokey burning incense(not the church one) with animalic civet. champaca and amber lingering softly in the background. Lovely. Camphor and nutmeg are there, blended very well with siamese oud. You won't be able to easily pick any notes other than oud apart after it settle down at around 30mins. Might be a bit challenging for those who are not familiar with siamese oud, try before you buy!

An asian oud experience....I believe wearable as it is not too powerful and won't offend. Blended well as expected from Prin. Definitely bottle worthy imo.

An incensy Floriental with animalic undercurrents, this is a nice but redundant offering from Prissana. The perfume has several notes. It opens with aromatic incensy notes highlighted by incense, lime, cinnamon and saffron. It moved to a firmly floral Middle with tropical white flowers. It settles on a musky woody bed highlighted by some light oud, civet, benzoin, styrax, vetiver and sandalwood. The perfume is quite lovely and evocative and transports you immediately to an exotic place but it is similar to many of this perfumers previous scents. In the end for me, it remains a lighter and more mainstream version of the Narasimha Attar with minor differences. Enjoy!

Being drawn to anything unique and oriental, I had to sample this. Prissana has been pretty impressive so far, and you definitely get the novelty here it's very different with the kaffir lime and wan sao (which of course is hard to discern, an exotic floral feel, might also be the champaca) but definitely has the (luxury) Thailand feel factor overall, takes me back to my time there and conjures up great memories. A touch more animalic probably then I normally go for but worth a try for sure! Camphor and oud notes might be a little heavy for some, like walking into one of the ancient temples with the incense clouds, do try before you buy.
