The first time I smelled this perfume, It brought me back to my childhood when I woke up in the morning and my dad was dressing to go to work. It smelled like hair pomade combined with perfume. From my experience with this perfume I got lavender, spice, wood, musk and animalic scent, however, the animalic scent (civet) is not harsh, it’s smooth and blended harmoniously with other notes. A Walk with Someone is a complex perfume, despite the main notes, there are many supporting notes which enhance the complexity and interestedness of the perfume such as vanilla which added some sweetness to this masculine leaning perfume. The opening is quite strong, but in a few minutes it turns out to be a beautiful alluring scent. Compared with FM Musc Ravageur which is one of famous spicy animalic perfume, this one is less animalic and easier to use. Unfortunately, this gem has been discontinued already.

Got a sample of this from the merchant. On both skin and clothing, bergamot shot straight to the nose, coming on rather strong. Then it started evolving. On skin, lavender, tangerine, clove, vanilla, civet, and musk started appearing more or less in that order. The bergamot on skin died down about the time civet musk started. On clothing, tangerine mingle with bergamot even while the skin spray’s already at dry down stage. All the while notes blink in and out of the mixture, seemingly like stars in the night sky of perfume. The oud and amber started appearing, co-existing with the bergamot-tangerine mixture. The dry down is a warm sweet woody note that is a blend of harmonic notes. Overall this it’s a rather good perfume, full bottle worthy. On clothing, the dry down lingered for a little over 12 hrs.
