Pure Chemical No Natural

i'm so pleasantly shocked by this!! i honestly got it as a novelty purchase because i love the audacity of proclaiming your product is nothing but volatile chemicals (their website lists many more synthetic/chemical notes, no clue if they're legitimately in it or just mentioned to emphasize the concept because who outside chemists/perfumers would notice?) in contrast to others boasting about natural ingredients, so i expected it to be at worst unwearable and at best smell like nothing - but not only is it extremely safe and wearable, it's gorgeous. i've only had it a few days so i don't wanna make such a bold claim, but i almost want to call it the perfect summer fragrance? i'm kind of obsessed. it's hard for me to accurately describe (very possible i'm just overthinking the concept - imagining someone asking me what that scent is in my perfume and i'm like that's the cis-3-hexenyl acetate, duh??) what i smell notes-wise but it's definitely very beachy and citrus-y, without having that essence of salty air many aquatic perfumes tend to. i tend to dislike citrus in fragrance (outside lime. love her!) because it's so easy for them to skew toward cleaning product, but the citrus (presumably the citronellyl? i don't get the pamplemousse) in this is so light and perfect. it makes me feel like i've just dipped out of an artificial ocean. as much as i enjoy the silly concept, i think they are doing a disservice to this fragrance by not marketing it as a big summer scent! if this had been released by tom ford/creed/acqua di parma and given a generic french/italian summery name ykno "Acqua Soleil Island Del Mer" it would be a monster hit, especially since it's perfectly unisex. if you're not convinced, proad (it's labelled as mith - which i suppose is a sister perfume house of proad? they share their US website 'glindee') offers very affordable discovery sets where you can try it and 4 other perfumes from either/both house and always include a discount for your next order if you enjoy any of them. (this sounds like a sponsored post. it is not. but proad if u wanna sponsor me and give me free perfume heyyyyyyy my dms are open) as for cons: not necessarily a bad thing, but it is definitely light and airy. if you want a strong statement fragrance for summer this may be too subtle. i'm always an advocate for wearing whatever you want whenever you want, but if you are more strict about season-specific fragrances you may find this limited to summer if you want something more versatile. my only genuine complaint is that its projection is only mildly better than skin scent, otherwise it'd be flawless. its longevity could be better too but that's just because i love beast modes, i think any average wearer will be more than satisfied. anyway please go buy this so it doesn't get discontinued and i don't have to bulk buy bottles to stock up on it thank u xoxo.

Nice ambition for different name of perfume but natural is also chemical.
