Maestrale

"Con te partirò... su navi per mari che io lo so no, no, non esistono più... lalaaalaaa" Maestrale makes me fall into this singing mood, it is such an uplifting scent indeed! I loved it right from the start and have just decided to get a full bottle for the next summer to come. This is truly exquisite, both rhum and flowers make it mouthwatering indeed as Cereza said but the salt and strong rhubarb note prevent it from going too far into the sweet spectrum. It is a great summer scent, very extroverted and fun. Not a single person has told me it smells weird or similar to anything else they've smelled. However, I would link it to 2 scents I also love: Tirrenico and Rose 31. With Tirrenico it shares the salty marine vibe and the strong jasmin note in the drydown, but where Tirrenico is a difficult choice for its edginess, Maestrale is easier to handle without losing interest. After 4 hours they both truly smell similarly, fully jasmined. (perhaps it's the carnation here? I don't identify the smell of that flower to be honest). This is definitely more beach than sea. In the case of Rose 31, don't think of the first cumin filled minutes but instead take the gorgeous drydown of this Le Labo, where the rose becomes smoother, more plain and that is when Maestrale smells very similar, perhaps less refined than Rose 31, but the good news is here the smell is much stronger and assertively done. Many reviews on the web talk about the strong cedar note here... it is there but the whole salty rhubarb rhum combo is what this is all about imo. Wonderful scent for late afternoon occasions! Edit: I can't believe I didn't mention this is a very spicy scent too! Now with a few more wearings I've detected too a nice leathery undertone which I don't know where is coming from but nice nice!!

Maestrale by Profumi di Pantelleria is a crisp and intense scent, just like the Mistral wind on which it is based on. Mistral is a gusty wind carrying the icy breath of the high Alps to the French Riviera (Cote d'Azur). Mistral is a wind blowing from the northwest. In the naval culture, it is Mistral that carries all the strengths of the Mediterranean. The wind is associated with movement and change, in its symbolic aspect it represents a power that can change elements that transcend individual boundaries, and the consciousness that brings spiritual and vital energy embodies the most important relationship between heaven and earth. Maestrale, thanks to a careful modulation of saffron and juniper, is green and spicy. Moreover, Maestrale amazes with the number of faces. On the one hand, it has a marine profile, almost deep-sea-like, on the other hand, it also has salty and woody qualities, which smell like remains of a wrecked wooden ship on a beach.

Best cardamom dominant fragrance for me, alongside Narciso Rodriguez for Him Bleu Noir. starts with rhubarb, with little bit of citrus bitterness and after 20 minutes it is getting more dry and earthy. I don't get any rum. In the drydown It is more prominent cardamom, with great vetyver and ambrette notes. Projection is average, longevity on my skin is 6 hours, but on clothes stay for days. This is not for the summer for me. Best for fall and spring days. For work and for daily use, if you like cardamom. if not stay away.

This smells extremely mouthwatering from the begining. It's refreshing, spicy and a bit dry. I can feel freshness of bergamot and rhubarb. I don't get any iris, but I get lovely, green carnation, I love the "rum" note, that probably makes this all so mouthwatering (no, i'm not alcoholic, if that came in mind). It's just absolutely lovely and refreshing mix of spices and woods. I'm impresed. Could be worn by a woman, but I think it suits men best.

To me it is one of the best representation of cardamom in perfumery. It is a perfume with cardamom as the pivotal note. Cedar, rhubarb, bergamot and lavender modify and balance the warmth and sweetness and cardamom. Coriander and rum add a touch of very beautiful and sensual feeling to it. Vetiver gives it a modest and a kind of fresh earthy sense to it. Anyway,the final output is a rather simple, soft, natural and a bit sour (especially at first) and powdery perfume with cardamom as the central note. It would please those who are in search of a cardamom-based perfume that is at the same time, soft, cozy, inoffensive and natural smelling. It has rather good longevity plus soft to moderate sillage. یکی از بهترین ارائه های هل در عطرسازی برای من. عطری که نت هل در اون نت محوری هست. سدر، ریواس، ترنج و اسطوخودوس گرما وشیرینی هل رو متعادل کرده اند. تخم گشنیز و رام یک حالت خیلی زیبا و نفسانی ظریف به عطر داده اند. وتیور هم یک حالت خاکی تازه و فروتنانه به کار داده. علی ای حال، خروجی کار یک عطر نسبتا ساده، لطیف، طبیعی و کمی ترش(مخصوصا در اوایل کار) و پودری هست که بر محور هل استوار هست. این عطر خوشایند کسانی خواهند بود که دنبال یک عطر با بوی غالب هل می گردند که در عین حال نرم، راحت، بی آزار و با بوی طبیعی هست. دوام نسبتا خوبی داره که نشر بوی ملایم و متوسطی هم همراهش هست.

This is such a calming perfume for me because I mostly pick up the wood and spicy notes in this. I find the combination sedate. The smell of wood reminiscent of pew's in a church or a rustic home. Very comforting. The cedar and vetiver are the most prominent along with the cardamom and coriander. Im sure the carnation contributes to the spicyness of this perfume but it doesnt smell floral at all to me. There's also a nice muskiness to it in the drydown. Its a dry perfume and a bit linear but still captivates from begining to end. I wouldnt call this sexy at all. I find it more aromatherapeutic. Its very expensive, so I wont be needing a full bottle. I enjoyed my decant though and luckily I find it reminds me of Agent Provocateur's L'Agent which is not as pricey.
