Matelda

This is such a magical and fluffy fragrance! I fell in love with it at first sniff. I know buontalenti from this house is really popular, and I own that one and love it, but matelda is seriously a hidden gem and so underhyped. Its very soft and fluffy and dreamy, it’s like peach flavoured macarons or a peach lipgloss. It remind me of barbie dolls too, it has a nostalgic vibe to it. I imagine if barbie’s fairytopia land had a scent, it would be matelda, a magical fluffy meadow with pink clouds and beautiful peach blossom flowers. ✨🌸🍑🧚🏻 The main notes I smell in this are: sugary candy peaches, soft fluffy florals, and a creamy bakery like vanilla! It is soft and lightweight, I would say it is an intimate skin scent, but it’s still quite long lasting on the skin. If you love leisure in paradise, buontalenti, dama bianca, or even Carner Tardes, you will love this one. I’m not saying it’s a dupe of any of them (it’s close to leisure in paradise but much softer and more floral and fluffy). It just has a ultra feminine soft fluffy and magical vibe like the ones I just mentioned.

If there's happiness to be found in a perfume bottle, than it's in Profumo di Firenze's Matelda. It was love at first sniff - so beautifully balanced, so light and joyful, perfect companion throughout the day or when going to bed. I really love a good peach fragrance, a chamomile note too, but to mix them in such a way to achieve radiance... Excellent. Matelda is a cozy and serotonin inducing perfume, like sun beams on your skin. I really love Profumo di Firenze fragrances, their simple yet beautiful bottle and packaging, their minimalistic yet indulging visuals when promoting a fragrance, it's authentic "dolce vita" philosophy in a bottle...

matelda is a lovely fruity powdery vanilla fragrance that begins with a refreshing burst of white grapefruit. as it settles, it transforms into a beautiful vanilla floral! the chamomile and violet really shine in the floral notes, and there is a subtle tartness, which is prob from the Peru balsam. it then softens into a lovely, light vanilla with a hint of violet or another floral. it’s soooo so so pretty and reminds me of bbw butterfly, but without the raspberry note! it’s a lovely, ethereal fragrance that gets compliments whenever I wear it and i think its perfect for the spring and summer

There is something beautiful about this fragrance in its complexity that makes it bright and airy, yet sweet with a touch of earthiness. When I first smelled this fragrance, it wasn’t what I was expecting at all...and I was captivated. I immediately felt nostalgic for some reason...it’s grounding, uplifting, and comforting. To me, this is a harmonious blend that leans feminine, and I can’t stop sniffing myself. As a fragrance enthusiast, this is another fragrance that really makes me enjoy this hobby as much as I do.

I wore this fragrance all day today and I knew it smelled familiar. At first, I thought it was Angel’s Share which does smell similar but not exactly. It hit me when I really sat and smelled, it smells like a softer version of Safanad by PDM which is one of my favorite fall fragrances. For me, this perfume lasts pretty much all day, I’ve been wearing it since 7am and it’s now 2 and I can still smell it. I love this so much, it’s beautiful and I think is truly unisex. Definitely for me is full bottle worthy.

Porfumo di Firenze Matelda is a irresistible blend of notes! The first moment, I get a slightly boozy cognac that changes to a rich peach tea( peach blossom - chamomile). There is tartness that is really sexy and a vanilla that just sweeps over me. I spray heavy and enjoy the envelop. This perfume is going to be my happy place fragrance.

This is so lovely. Cute and tender, you feel like a snack while wearing it. I really love this perfume unfortunately it’s not long lasting on my skin. It reminds me of madeleine cookies with black tea with milk. Similar to Blue Madeleine Atelier des Ors but more sweet and like it has a peach note.

Beautiful rum-soaked pastry with a woody and slightly smoky undertones. Amazing scent on the edge of gourmand, but still very sophisticated and refined. Honestly I can smell it all day long! Absolutely adorable! Follow me on IG: scent.guide

This is such an ethereal fragrance. I’m not a huge fan of violet but the peach blossom, benzoin and chamomile makes it not so intense. Beautifully blended. It lasts all day on my clothes as well.

This is such a beautiful all year round scent. It seems to have it all. It’s uplifting but comforting at the same time.

A very nice, fresh, sweet and light fragrance! It gives out an airy vibe, not overly sweet nor floral but just the right amount of everything. It's perfect for everyday use, especially for spring and summer.

Matelda is a lightweight pretty and youthful feminine floral. Unfortunately she has a very short attention span.

This is such a cute and tender fragrance<3 I mostly get candied violet, vanilla cream, and sandalwood. At times I catch a hint of chamomile that gives it tea like vibe. The tonka bean at first does smell a little playdoughy, but it’s pretty mild and fades quickly on me. It’s definitely a skin scent, so it will be underwhelming for those who enjoy perfumes with a strong presence. Overall, it’s a lovely perfume. Soft, sweet, happy and has a lotiony quality. It does remind me a bit of Leisure in Paradise, they have the same vibe, but they are by no means interchangeable. And when smelling side by side, the notes are completely and very obviously different. Also, I kept feeling “I’ve smelled this before” when I first sprayed it on and I finally figured it out! It’s the Lavender & Sandalwood from B&BW (discontinued iirc) which is the scent that made me realize I don’t like lavender notes lol. Not sure if I’d get a full bottle of this one since I’m more of an iris girl than a violet one.

This is just like Leisure In Paradise by Simone Andreoli, only not as good, at least for my taste. Why? It has weaker sillage and Leisure In Paradise is way more bright, pure and clear and just pure perfection. While Matelda in it's sillage is just like Leisure In Paradise, only seems more natural smelling but at the same time less potent and from upclose it smells a bit generic and even dirty - not as delicious, although it gives some pretty nice fruity creamy vanilla. Longevity is also not as strong, but still pretty decent. Not worth it for my personal taste, as Leisure In Paradise is perfect for me. Although might be nice if you find Leisure In Paradise overwhelming.

I thought it smelled like a nice shampoo. My boyfriend thought it smelled exactly like meat that had been sitting in formaldehyde. I didn't ask him why he knows what that smells like, but it's safe to say that I will not be wearing it.

Nice, that's all. Absolutely zero longevity or projection on me...

This perfume smells like play doh on me.

It has something fluffy, powdery, fruity in the opening, but it's very medicinal on my skin. I don't know which note exactly--maybe the Peru balsam?--but there's something sharp there that makes the perfume smell like tiger balm(?!). Combined with other notes, it smells like an immediate car sick to me. And it's pretty strong. Very nauseating. Luckily it doesn't last long.

Unfortunately I just thought this smelled cheap, like a bad TJ Maxx off-brand fruity floral. Bad fake blossom accord and headache-y generic fruit.

They hate my DUA reviews on these perfumes, but who cares I don't post for likes. This is for Peach Blossom & Chamomile by The Dua. It's not on the database and since this one has some bad reviews, I wanna post my rave review for the DUA version. It's what I wanted Prada Candy Sugar Pop to be even tho DUA's is a different scent than the prada candy family. "Okay so this opens sweet, but also very lemony and violet-heady with the Lolita Lempicka EDT vein aka slightly sharp medicinal and cold floral-violet due to the lemon and violet in both - no incense and iris in this, so it's not as heady. The violet is balsamic in both, but warmer, more woody and ambery here from the Peru balsam and benzoin, with an animalic musky feel in the opening. This is more fruity from the grapefruit which paired with the lemon and balsamic resinous notes gives a balsamic citrusy touch throughout. It's more wearable and with a soft youthful chamomile herbal scent throughout especially in the opening contrasting the cold violet. It instantly turns sweeter and very sugared like Hot Couture EDT, so like cooked fruit, and with a candy-sweet vanilla-peach blossom essence, that of BBW's Whipped Vanilla Chiffon peach blossom, while retaining the citrusy facets and the Lolita Lempicka heady violet. Due to the Lolita Lempicka violet and the amber-y warm aspect of this, it reminds me of Korres Black Sugar which is a Prada Candy and Lolita Lempicka hybrid. This has the musky balsamic benzoin warmth of Prada Candy, but it's not pungent-powdery or with mature caramel like Candy which is nauseating to me due to the powder and caramel/benzoin contrast, so it's not like Prada Candy. It's more like Korres Black Sugar which combines the soapy heady, ''cold'' Lolita Lempicka vibe with the sweet amber-y benzoin element, but with Tonka just like this one. Korres Black Sugar has more of the Prada Candy mature powdery caramel vein at the drydown which is not present in this. This is more sugared, musky, fluffy and youthful like Hot Couture EDT and with a candy-sweet element since peach is a very sweet warm dense note, but the peach blossom is more ethereal yet equally candy-sweet and warm. The candy sweet element at the later drydown is reminiscent of the sweet kids colorful clay like a fruity play-doh scent, maybe due to the tonka blending with the peach blossom. The balsam of Peru with the benzoin provide a beautiful resinous sweetness early on and throughout. To me this is very dimensional and comparable to Korres Black Sugar in this genre, but more girly, fruity and much sweeter. It's amazing. Initially I wasn't gonna buy it since the OG has mediocre reviews, but I took a chance with this and I'm glad I did".

I have been looking for a peach perfume I enjoy and this is the best one ive found so far. It is definitely quite peachy despite the notes listing peach blossom and it being categorized more so as a floral vanilla. The peru balsam and chamomile do make the peach go a little bit in the direction of car air freshener but not enough to make me feel ill. Overall its lighter than the notes would make you think, I can wear this year round. Reminds me of peaches in cognac but not as syrupy sweet. More like peach cream soda with rum.. and a violet on top!

Boozy peaches and vanilla cream scent. It has a layered feeling, there is development with a slightly resinous seansation. The Tolu Balsam here is very tame but perceptible, there is a dense tonka note that tries to overpower for a while, it is a rich gourmandish scent with some resins, little violet undertones and fluffly musk. Nice, but somewhat cloying in the first hour. Sample it first.

i love matelda so much. it’s truly a travesty that this gorgeous gorgeous fragrance doesn’t get the love she deserves. it’s blended so well and hard for me to pick out any single note. the best way i can describe it is “dreamy.” every time i smell it, it does something to me. i’ve also tried buontalenti and viandante from this house and am definitely looking to explore more!

I don't find it reminiscent of Leisure in Paradise. They can both be used for the same type of occasion and are in the same category of fragrances (possibly) but they smell different. I actually think this has better sillage than LIP so far but both are on the low-moderate end of the spectrum IMO. This is pretty.

Peach blossom, Chamomile, and vanilla - the main notes that my nose picks up. Such a beautiful fragrance - well blended, super creamy, sweet, but not sickly sweet. The creaminess is almost like you're sniffing the lotion. Year round fragrance - maybe not summer days, but summer nights - it could work.

this is a pretty fruity floral. faint and delicate. pillowy almost? pretty girl scent. on my skin its sweet chamomile, and on my clothing its peachy. it smells very clean like body wash! i dont know if its worth the price but i do enjoy this as an out of the shower scent! nothing to dislike about it.

On paper it's pretty but there is something so medicinal when it's on my skin, but it does have a hint of Scarlett poppy in the background. Chamomile can go a little pissy for me but it's not that. Maybe it's the balsam but again, I don't normally get this kind of antiseptic smell from balsamics.

This fragrance is so beautiful. Really underrated and more beautiful that Buontalenti, which i also own and like a lot! Matelda is the show stopper. Beautiful mix of florals and vanilla. I wish it lasted longer though!

On my skin this is super girly, fun, flirty, bright. It lasts about 2 hours of my skin. It's almost like a blow pop smell that makes it like and airy and girly. The dry down is sweet, airy vanilla and not cloying

It's beautiful, it's a terrible shame it has some TERRIBLE projection and longevity on me, my skin ate it up within ten minutes

Wow this smells exactly like Leisure in Paradise to me. Like, exactly!
