Zafferano

This perfume IS my perfume. When I first smelled it, I was prepared to accept saffron as I was exposed to a handful of saffron based perfume and I have smelled the real spice. While that’s the case, it’s recognizable as a burnt plastic, spicy, and pungent opening intermingled with the incense-like oud. Glad it’s in the opening only and it just keeps it interesting enough. As the perfume dries down, it gets powdery and velvety. It’s like a cozy cashmere coat or woolen blanket that envelopes you in a decadent embrace. The dusty accord of amber and sandalwood mixes well with the sweetness of vanilla. The patchouli adds to the yumminess of this perfume and makes it even more cozy and closer to being a gourmand. This makes me think of MFK OSM but less sweet and fruity and more spicy, powdery, and seductive.

The initial spritz is lifted by a refreshing saffron note, which quickly settles into a rich blend with intoxicating Rosa Damascena. The dry-down is slightly sweet and woody, anchored by a comforting vanilla powder essence. Its bright and charming profile makes it highly versatile for warm weather across spring, summer, and fall.
