Audace

With this masterpiece, I entered the fascinating world of artistic perfumery, undoubtedly unprepared and a bit too early for it. This is a fragrance that, not surprisingly, took me months to fully grasp, to appreciate the craftsmanship and nuances hidden behind its complexity. With only a few ingredients, perfectly balanced and celebrated, it creates a harmony of sensations that make it suitable for any space and moment. Formal and sensual, creamy and at times sweet, yet also deeply earthy, this perfume is a dance of diverse facets that intertwine and drift apart, blending in a subtle play of intensity. Each note is incredibly realistic and vivid, as if each ingredient possesses its own soul. It merges with the others, yet occasionally, one note emerges, radiant, only to fade and give way to another that, in turn, takes the spotlight. And so, as the fragrance evolves, it seems to tell an endless story, one that is both elegant and intimate. At its base, on my skin, remains a vetiver that is pure magic: creamy, earthy, and incredibly enveloping. To some, it might evoke the scent of wet earth, but for me, this vetiver has a different taste, a different meaning. It takes me back to childhood, when I would dig my hands into the soil, getting them dirty, then unknowingly touching my face. It’s a humid, subterranean scent, echoing among roots—a fragrance that seeps beneath the skin, becoming deeply moving, wrapping me in a warm embrace of forgotten memories and sensations. It’s a profound bond with the earth itself, with its mystery and strength—a fragrance that can be at times bold and sensual, at others nostalgic and dark. The Roman maison likely has no equal in the industry. Too often overlooked—and perhaps it’s better that way—it produces extraordinary works, crafted by anonymous artists who, in silence, create fragrances that have often anticipated mainstream trends by years. The quality-price ratio is excellent, considering the concentration of essential oils and the mastery that unites them.

I want to stress this comment because it applies to every fragrance from this house. It has to be the percentage of oil or something I feel like. These exceptional fragrances smell much better when applied like an oil compared to traditional spraying application. I cannot tell you why, but it makes a world of difference in multiple ways. I fell in love with this brand this way. These fragrances last forever! And they are so well done. It takes hours upon hours for the fragrance to unravel itself. Very natural. Very sexy. Audace in particular is one of my favorites. It's all about Vetiver even though there is star anise and Pepper. It is seductive in a very unique way. Very aromatic but not overly Green. I always ask the question: how does it make me feel? This determines if I am going to purchase a whole bottle. This fragrance makes me feel like I am reflecting by myself in a different world made of Green glass. The crisp air purifies me and nourishes the ground between my feet. I never want to leave.

When I first spray it I get a bright, earthy vetiver note that is fresh and invigorating. It has a purifying, meditative quality that I find very appealing. Soon after, a natural licorice accord appears, adding a sweet, anise-like quality that I adore. The licorice blends beautifully with the vetiver, creating a smooth, seductive scent. As Audace develops on my skin, the licorice and vetiver are joined by a warm, woody cedar note. The cedar grounds the scent and adds depth and complexity. The fragrance settles on a bed of sweet, powdery tonka bean, which adds a creamy, gourmand element that I find irresistible. I love that it manages to be both fresh and warm, bright and deep. The vetiver is definitely the star note, but the licorice, cedar, and tonka bean add layers of complexity that keep me coming back for more. It's a scent that I can wear year-round and in any situation, from a casual day at the office to a night out with friends.

I really really love this. An elegant signature and easily one of my favorite vetivers. I do go nose blind to it after a while but I've gotten compliments at least 8 hours into wearing. Any time, any occasion and all season except extream heat. Seems to elevate while adding an air of sophistication to your outfit and aura. Still it feels like it wouldn't be out of place worn more casually as well. I find the vetiver is present but not overpowering, still sharing the stage with the tonka and other notes giving Audace a powdery sweet character softer than many vetivers. While its profile is simple and linear, it does this with a level of refinement that makes it both understated and remarkable. Audace is a fragrance that knows what it is and is unbother by what it isn't. It has a calm self assurance that cannot be faked. Wearing Audace o feel compelled to cultivate and embody that same nature in myself. 10/10

I continued to be impressed with this house. While a particular fragrance may or may not be for you personally, there is no denying that Profumum Roma is quality. This number, Audace, has pleasing vetiver centric notes. A bit of fresh cedar is noticeable. Runs dry, soft and semi-sweet. It reminds me a bit of opening a container of baking flour in a way in that there is this dry semi-sweet earthy grain note. Maybe even fresh baked bread immediately out of the oven and you tear a piece off, at least a suggestion of this. It is starting to grow on me, I like it. Unisex neither male nor female. Not very strong seems to stay close to skin, more intimate. I would say great for fall daytime

In every 100ml Profvmvm Roma box there's always a travel roll on included. Very useful to not carry the bottle with you all the time, but also very interesting because it's another way to apply the fragrance. With the roll on the licorice is prominent and absolutely pleasing, it smells like a licorice-centric perfume. With the atomiser you smell the entire pyramid of the composition. The initial blast of orange blossoms, the licorice, the vetiver in the background, and the sweetness of the tonka. Probably a bit to sweet for me. And the vetiver a bit too much on the background. But the licorice is so good that makes me forget everything else. Superelegant.

Man, I love this stuff. I get a powdery, sweet tonka bean and slightly earthy vetiver with a touch of spice from the licorice (yes, it's there, but subtle.) It is incredibly smooth, suave and very pleasant. I love it. The performance is excellent, but because all of the ingredients are typically base notes, it doesn't scream off the top of your skin. But it does create a cozy, persistent scent bubble that radiates in a very noticeable way. I don't know what it is about this that clicks for me, but Audace could become my signature scent. Definitely an underrated gem from Profumum Roma, and tied for my favorite along with Acqua di Sale.

If I see licorice as a note in a fragrance, I will sample it no questions asked. While the licorice note is not as prominent as I wish it was, this is an amazing scent nonetheless. It’s semi-sweet, woody, unisex, and perfect for the cold weather. I personally smell vetiver and tonka upfront, but the notes are very well-blended and meld together nicely. I will say, this fragrance is VERY potent and can stain clothes but I see that as a bonus since the full bottle will probably last me a lifetime.

Ooh, this is one of the smoothest vetivers I’ve met so far. At first I even thought it might be fig tree, in a Philosykos style. They do share cedar in their notes, so perhaps the woods + green is what made me think so. It does shade into the eeriness I sometimes get with vetiver, that hint of acrid smoke, but it’s softened nicely by the anise/licorice and tonka. Lasts nicely but doesn’t overpower. Reminds me of what I liked about L’Artisan Coeur de Vetiver Sacre. I like it!

This is a warm & cozy, sweet-ish vetiver & tonka bean scent. It doesn’t work on a hot environment at least in my opinion, in a room full of aircon it works perfectly ( i live in a tropical country) im wearing it as a scent before bed now and I feel comfortable. I imagine it would work great for a date as well, the scent is not too offensive & would make people around you comfortable, not too projecting more like an aura of warmth. Brilliant

Hermes' Vetiver Tonka but on (some) steroids - meaning not beastmode but stronger, longer lasting, and more projecting than Vetiver tonka. It remains a long lasting fragrance with soft-mild projection, which fits its discrete elegance, when you want to be noticed without screaming loud perfume all around. Lovely scent for those in-between seasons like fall or chilly days of spring, when you want to mix both warmth and freshness.

Lovely simple woody aromatic scent. The scent opens with notes of beautiful earthy vetiver. Soon a natural licorice appears followed by lovely Virginian cedar. The perfume settles on a bed of sweet powdery tonka bean. Extremely simple and naturally beautiful in an earthy way. The slight masculine leaning scent has moderate to strong projection and good longevity. Enjoy!

refined nutty vetiver scent with licorice touches that just smells amazing. reminds me of an older more mature and less sweet version of fat electrician (minus the playfulness of that scent). this exudes wealth in my book, just classy and elegant feeling.

I love this to pieces,my initial first wearing left a very good impression. Performance is great, lasted pretty much all day (as do most Profumum Roma fragrances).

Tried all three, agree this is very similar to bal d'afrique and vetiver Tonka!

Fresh crisp Vetiver. The cedar is detectable mostly in the dry down. Not getting any licorice though unfortunately which I was really hoping for hence a like from me. A nice clean almost straight up vetiver, good quality average to slightly above longevity. Unless a real vetiver fan I think you will be a little disappointed.

A dreamy and creamy iris that’s up there with the all time iris greats - Audace joins Splendiris and Impossible Iris in the trio of iris hall of fame scents. Profumum Roma can do no wrong.

Audace is a serious scent! It's definitely woody and earthy, with a warm spicy edge that lingers. I get compliments on it all the time, especially in colder weather.

I immediately thought of Sorriso when I applied this fragrance, there is a basic similarity here. Mostly tonka and vetiver, I do not sense licorice.

Great smell. This stuff is so concentrated it feels like cooking oil between the fingers, yet it sits close to the skin very soon.
