Freccia 1921

Freccia 1921 is an almond, heliotrope and vanilla scent- if those notes appeal to you then you’ll likely love this. All the other notes are minor supporting characters in the background; a very airy musk, gentle rose, and only a whisper of ylang. Freccia smells like a slightly rosy powdered sugar, sprinkled over almond tea cakes. It’s in the same style as Loukhoum, but less honeyed rose and more vanilla-forward heliotrope. Profumum Roma makes such great almond scents and this is no exception. A gorgeous Italian gourmand that was an instant love for me- I don’t think I’ve ever bought a full bottle so quickly!

I find Freccia 1921 to be a very calming and cozy scent. On me, the vanilla, almond & heliotrope stand out the most. There's a little musk there too. It's sweet, nutty and a little powdery. But the florals keep it from going way into the gourmand territory. I love wearing this on cool nights right after I get out of the shower. Will this be a repurchase for me? No. Because after having it on my skin for a few hours..the skin scent it becomes, smells almost rubbery and I don't like that.

Profumum’s powdery retro throwback scent is a homage to the Osswald almond hand cream that was created as their first product over a century ago. The scent opens with notes of almond and vanilla. The heart is a floral mix of rose, ylang ylang, jasmine and heliotrope. The perfume settles on a base of musk and patchouli. The feminine leaning scent has moderate to strong sillage and good longevity. Fans of powdery scents will find much to enjoy in this one.

To me this smells like they added a little bit of almond & heliotrope to Dolci Pensieri. 🤷🏼♀️ Unless Osswald sent me the wrong sample. It’s got that strong musk & rose that I get from DP (although definitely softer/muted) & I get very little of what I was expecting-almond & heliotrope. It’s just ok imo. Disappointed. *Warmer day & I'm getting more of the almond & heliotrope and the musk is less sharp. Still don’t particularly like it though lol. I don’t understand why they put so much of this type of musk in this scent. Maybe my chemistry amplifies it.

What a happy Osswald mistake. I was mistakenly sent Freccia instead of Maringa by Osswald. It wasn't until after i opened, assembled and sprayed that i realized the mistake. I called the store and spoke to a very charming manager (Danyal) who immediately handled the situation. While waiting on return instructions/label Freccia began to bloom on my wrist, and i am in love. I decided to keep her and (Danyal) gave me a discount that I used to repurchase my original selection and he promised to fill the box with samples..we shall see..All in all it was a happy mistake.
