Gioiosa

I always give pause when I see my not so favorite but way too popular used note, bergamot in any perfume, whether it leans on the tropical coconut/ tropical florals, or if it’s in a vanilla perfume. Basically any citrus when it comes to vanilla (unless I’m seeking a lemon cakey scent, then lemon is welcome) and have no qualms with lime for the topical scents like VIW or Malibu by SA, but luckily I don’t detect any citrus in this perfume, or if I do, it’s so faint that it doesn’t bother me. I tried this on after finishing up my Tihota sample which was another vanilla scent I had waited way too to try. I had thought I was trying a tuberose scent when sampling this. And continued to smell my arm as I was confused and smelled a bit of what had resembled tiholta and vanignlia, more so the later one. I didn’t realize this was a vanilla scent despite it smelling very much like vanilla and some florals with a touch burnt sugar. It’s a stunner, and it’s made me rethink buying a FB of another frag I want but can only afford so many, but have been impulsive as the BF deals have been wrapping up. While I don’t know if I’ll be buying a FB of any by this brand as Its hard for me to justify spending over $300 for a perfume, but get that some just can’t be avoided and will need to either buy the full size or get a large decant of one if it doesn’t come in a smaller size. If there weren’t dozens of others I’d love to own and add to my collection, I’d go ahead w buying the FB but i’d be content with the 18 ml size, with at least a solid 5+ years or more and that’s if used a lot. Anyways, I love this and will try it again soon. It’s got a cotton candy / smoky marshmallow vibe going, mixed with the vanilla and then a tuberose/ white floral background, which mixes beautifully. It’s warm but don’t concider it to be overly amber but it’s not something I’d reach in the hot humid summer months. This is something I would wear from now until late spring/early summer and then back again in the cooler months of fall. It’s indulgent and creamy, I like how powerful it is and it has above average longevity. It defintely hits the sweet spot perfectly. I appreciate how it’s got a lot going on in the best way possible. If you like a sweet vanilla, it checks that box, if you like your vanilla with creamy white florals, it’s got that too, and if you like a hint of gourmand without it being sickly sweet or not sweet enough. Tuberosa and a discontinued one by this brand are the others I’d wanna try, but certainly won’t hesitate on buying myself a bottle of this gem. Definitely one of my favorite vanillas I’ve sampled so far and despite its high price point it smells of high end quality and luxury which may make it FB worthy after all, esp as perfumers continue to have this need to reformulate or discontune a beloved fragrance and then reintroduce it as the one you loved, in a better version, except 99% of the time that’s not the case. I never smelled the OG Sabbia Blanca but was disappointed to read it was reformulated so I wouldn’t want to miss the boat if they end up doing that to this one and had to use my smaller size w caution. Highly recommend for vanilla lovers.

This is really beautiful. I disagree with the other reviewers that are saying this is like Bianco Latte. BL has a screechy voice that this does not have at all. I think this is smooth, and warm and clean and sweet and delicious and intoxicating. Its summery but in a way that could easily be worn in winter. Its expensive, but you can tell when you put it on your skin that it is full of real oils and so it also feels really high quality. it certainly smells like the good stuff to me! I get white flowers, I get coconut, I get vanilla, I get a warm slight hint of sunscreen-ish deliciousness and maybe a bit of bright citrus in there too. Its totally what I want in a gourmand fragrance. I put this on the back of my hand before work today from a 0.7ml sample and it is still noticeable 11 hours later! its sensual and coconutty and warm and yummy in the drydown. absolutely delicious! (I could see wearing this close to the skin as its oily and you wouldn't want to accidentally get it on your clothes, but it lasts so long on your skin and smells so delicious that if my body smelled like this I would be happy.) I compared it alongside Vaniglia Mazzolari on the back of my other hand and I much prefer this! they are both high quality oily vanillas but Gioiosa is much more interesting and creamy with the coconut and the hint of white florals, it lasted a few hours longer and has more depth. Edit** 3/31/25 - I also compared this alongside Narcotica Happy Dust and its VERY similar to that one too. Compared to Happy Dust, this fragrance is creamier, sweeter, warmer and soft. ITs slightly toasted but not fully brown. its more powdery and has more emphasis on the vanilla. Its a soft vanilla coconut with a sweet caramel underneath that is more noticibly sweeter in the drydown and overall lasts longer. Gioiosa has a warmth and is comforting and easy and more relaxed, while Happy Dust is the fresher of the two with the florals and the green notes. Both fragrances are 10/10 in my opinion, but you don't need both unless you LOVE this scent profile, and then they are definitely different enough that you might need both.

Gioiosa is one of my favorite perfumes in my collection. I think they gave it the perfect name, because every time I smell this perfume, it makes me feel SO happy. It's also my #1 complemented perfume in my collection. I get complements almost every single time I go out wearing it. I will continue purchasing Gioiosa for as long a Profumum Roma continues making it. IMO, it is the single best non-guerlain vanilla perfume that I have smelled, and I have smelled many vanilla perfumes. It is an expensive perfume, but I think it's worth the price because it smells and feels high quality. The formulation of Profumum Roma EDPs does contain about a 40% concentration of perfume oils, so they are a lot closer to an extrait in how they feel (i.e. a bit oily) and perform. I don't recommend spraying on your shirt if you're wearing a light color, but I have been able to do a 'spray and walk-through' without staining my clothing. The scent leans heavily into vanilla and coconut with an amber base. The coconut is more creamy than tropical, but I definitely think it helps this perfume live in 'great all year round' territory where some other vanillas lean more towards cold weather. It took me a good while into my 'perfume journey' to be able to pick out the coconut because it's so well blended. There is a little bit of citrusy zing in the initial spray, but I wouldn't say that I would have picked citrus out in this perfume if I hadn't read the notes. Overall, if you like perfumes that are primarily vanilla, I really don't think you can go wrong with Gioiosa.

I recently went to Scent Bar to test this fragrance out on a strip and take a sample of it home... it smells like a more pristine version of Bianco Latte without the overwhelming powderiness. I also have a 5ml sample of Bianco Latte and would get a sharp stinging sensation from first spraying it because of the coumarin note. With Gioiosa, I didn't get any of that. It also smells less synthetic and candle-like... it's smoother where the 'lactonic' aspect is more from the creaminess of coconut milk (though the note of coconut was hardly present). Overnight, I left the test strip on my desk in my bedroom next to an open window and it made my entire room smell like Gioiosa the next morning. It was pleasant to wake up to and really boosted up my mood. The longevity of it and how I was able to smell the trail off a strip impressed me. Even on skin, I got the same amount of performance. It's brighter on my skin from the citruses, and the jasmine flower makes it more comforting and delicate compared to Bianco Latte. Bianco Latte smells more gourmand to me whereas Gioiosa's less dense and more wearable in any sort of weather in any time of the day. Personally, I dont' get the "bakery" association that some have made, perhaps only slightly. I can sense the listed notes and accords for this fragrance in union with each other. Initially, I wanted to get an 18ml of it since it's said to be long-lasting, but after first sniff I knew it was only right to get the full bottle. Currently, it's on it's way! :)

I've recently been sampling (and in some cases, re-sampling) vanilla-centric fragrances. And yes, yes and yes! In all fairness to the many other vanilla fragrances, Profumum Roma Gioiosa is the BEST, it really is. The way in which the high quality ingredients are expertly blended clearly impacts the performance of this beautiful perfume. Full Stop. Profumum Roma Gioiosa is a beautiful, lovely, expertly blended, high quality, vanilla-forward fragrance. Gioiosa is a smooth, creamy, slightly lactonic, warm, perfectly sweet, non-spicy, vanilla-centric bomb! From start-to-finish, Gioiosa wears as a beautiful, ethereal, non-harsh, non-super gourmand, non-icky sweet vanilla fragrance. The EdP is lovely, it really is. The blend and balance of ingredients are seamless perfection... There is no fancy, or drastic development, or huge change over time. Giosiosa is a straight-forward, warm, soothing, lovely vanilla fragrance. I LOVE the fragrance because it is NEVER boozy, or bourbon-y (which some vanilla fragrances tend to be), never cloying, never nauseatingly sweet. I just wish this EdP lasted longer on my skin and had a bit more silage, or throw. And to obtain the level of fragrance I desire, I had to spray, and spray and over-spray. Reapply and spray some more... In summary, I can only say Gioiosa is vanilla done right! A lovely, beautiful one-of-a-kind scent.

In some ways, as a Profumum Roma lover, I see this is an updated lighter version of their heavy beautiful sweet vanillic perfumes. It is more woody, more chemical. There is a tiny blue anise touch, a more ‘modern’ feel for a house that does not pump out dozens of frags. They have put a coconut ghost in there without feeling you are being cloyed to death ( I love well judged full bore coconut). It doesn’t dupe Blanche Bête or Commodity Milk. In my opinion. I bought it blind hoping to cover all these current white sucrose musk milk vanillas. I was right. I need and must have always, Blanche Bête, but this is different. It isnt as white floral musky. Superb. Sweet, heady, there is something perfect about it, the tiny purple anise thing is immortal, stunning. Heliotrope? That off white. You aren’t drinking sweet milkshake , but now you want to. You don’t think, chemical wood, but there is a phantasm of sandalwood. I don’t get nose scorch from chemical woody musk now that it’s aged, but there was a disappointing hint of that a year ago. What I’d give to sit at a perfumers organ to know all this. It smells like a complicated multifaceted perfume, not melted ice cream, but oh it’s really sweet and dangerously lickable

When my bottle first arrived I was so excited to finally try it...and then...all I got from it was coconut scented burnt rubber 😓. Weather was extremely hot and my package got held over the weekend at the courier, maybe that did something to it, or maybe my perception changed, dunnooo....but now after a few days, as the fragrance (or my nose) settled, I'm starting to get more sweetness and creaminess, it's more like some white chocolate with a ton of raw coconut. I don't get any bergamot, orange or jasmine, maybe a little moss and amber, but to me this fragrance is mostly about the gourmand kind of coconut. Glad I'm getting something different from it than my initial first impression(I almost cried), overall...it went from instant regret to "I'm not very mad about it". It's nothing unique, if you're deciding on getting this...know you're paying for quality not novelty. And maybe get a decant first(note to self🤣 ). From the reviews I see how incredibly different this fragrance is perceived, always try for yourself, you never know how it might turn out for you. Overall, Profumum Roma's gourmands never quite disappoint, straight forward scent and great performance.

I feel super late to the party with this house that apparently has nothing but bangers (of course your taste-dependent) I had been looking for a perfect coconut perfume for summer, and I think this is it, even though I wanted smth potentially less sweet It opens with a blast of coconut and powdery sweetness of vanilla, then I’m getting the refreshing citruses, zesty bergamot and very sweet orange, and then, just as you think this is an edible gourmand, the white florals come though. I was tasting it blindly without looking at the notes and guessed (correctly) the jasmine. There’s amber in the drydown. jasmine is not center stage, this is not a floral, it’s really vanilla with coconut and citruses and a dash of amber running the show. As to comparisons, for me Bianco Latte comparison is off, and actually Aqua e Zucchero of the same brand does have the same molecular drydown of Bianco Latte, and is generally more similar to Bianco Latte. Bottom line - if you’re looking for a sweet coconut perfume for summer, check this one out. The performance of all Perfumum Roma is excellent, but indeed beware of oil content, it may stain clothes

I am not a connoisseur, so I’m just going to use simple words- this here is such a beautiful EDP, it just keeps smelling better from use to use, IMO! I cannot stand florals nor am I necessarily a fan of sweetness, but the way all the notes work together, although this is a sweet gourmand fragrance, it definitely is not cloying and I also don’t mind nor really notice the Jasmine. And whilst normally I find anything with Coconut tends to give sunscreen vibes, Gioiosa just smells deliciously beautiful and puts you in a good mood. Like I said, I’m not a connoisseur- I can’t compare Gioiosa to other “niche” EDPs , I simply am someone who finds a perfume they like and then goes for it eventually. I’m sure not everyone is going to love it as much as others like myself do- who cares? I’m glad if not everyone else smells the same way! As long as I can always have access to my favorites, I couldn’t care less, so I don’t understand how anyone would get so upset? I think reviews are important but what’s more important is that people try for themselves vs making blind purchases.

I first used it right after Amouage Vanilla Barka and I found the quality identical (the same consistancy, the same longevity and global feel). I still prefered Amouage though because I found it more complex and I loved the spices in it. But Amouage is awfully expensive and finishes fast... So I just replaced it with Gioiosa and, progressively, I shifted. I first found it a bit too simple. But after using it I don't think the same anymore. Now, all the notes listed in the description, I don't feel them and I don't think you should expect to feel them (I actually expected a bit of citrus but you shouldn't count on it because it disappears quickly). They are probably there just to enrich the vanilla flavor. For me at least, this smells like a cream of vanilla, butter and honey spiced with a few fresh mint leaves. Without wanting to say that I smell butter or honey but it just leaves the creamy feeling of it. There is a bit of mint to it, very subtle, and I think this is why this is equally appropriate for men and women, in my opinion a rare perfect unisex.

First try of Profumum Roma Gioiosa, one of the house’s most recent releases (from 2023), a vibrant blend of citruses and vanilla, first and foremost, colored by coconut and jasmine as to make it less a citrus gourmand than, say, Dulcis in Fundo or even Acqua e Zucchero. It’s robust and invigorating, but elegant and smoothly blended, too. It’s rich in the style of other fragrances from the house but not over the top, and while the coconut gives it a slightly beachy/tropical vibe, it’s not a dominant aspect, just part of the overall ensemble. It’s really nice to smell something akin to others like Meringa and Dulcis in Fundo while not being redundant. Gioiosa is priced at $319 for 100ml, the brand’s updated pricing, seemingly, from the more recent $275, and is sold at a handful of US boutiques like Luckyscent, Ministry of Scent, and Osswald. So it’s a pricey barrier to entry, but not an untenable cost per ml in the current market, in my opinion, though the travel size is perhaps a little too big and too expensive, too. Still, I love the brand. 8 out of 10

YUM! 🥥🍊 Vanilla Orange w a ton of Coconut! Really good scent! Gourmand, lasts forEVER, great sillage. Almost as if you take Dulcis in Fundo (vanilla orange/fiori di sicilia) and mixed it with bunch of coconut. Definitely getting a lot of orange throughout this scent! Coconut and vanilla together make a sort of caramelized melange. But if you are like me, you can smell the notes independently and actually smell separate notes of coconut. and vanilla. I get coconut, vanilla, orange w/ warmth. It does have that coconut/vanilla caramelized quality w/o smelling like "caramel" ...and that is why I do not think this smells like Bianco Latte (which I also own and compared to side by side) -- which is MUCH more musky, and has a definitive creamy caramel note. The dry down of this is so delicious, warmed sunkissed skin w/o this being a tropical sunscreen scent. Gioiosa, while definitely different, does give vibes more similar to .... Omnia Madera/Morph Disumano/Rue Madam Vanilla Cotton (own these too -- and compared).

Went on a vanilla binge a year or so ago—literally 30+ samples—and it came down to this or Fire at Will. For the record, BL was a fast no for me. FAW won and I’ve been loving it for so many reasons, and yes smelling like a sugar cookie at close range works for me! Fast forward to now—revisited my year plus old Gioiosa sample and (swoon) cannot get enough. The citrus makes me sneeze every time the first spray hits me, but it immediately slides into a slightly less (than FAW) gourmand vanilla and then yes to the creamy coconut which has zero beachy or tropically smell. The only thing I don’t get is projection. It’s super tight on me. When my husband gets close he’s like “oh I love this” but I could spray 3 or 4 sprays on me and he wouldn’t smell it until he comes in for the hug. My dermatologist and my dentist have commented on how beautiful it is, but they’re pretty close up. 🤣 I’m pretty sure this is my next fb purchase. It’s a very special complex but in the most approachable way beauty!

I thought based on the reviews that this would be narcotic and addictive, but it didn't grasp me in its clutches. Yes, there is an element of elegance about it, like an expensive vacation on the Amalfi coast with sun kissed, gleaming tan skin, but something about the combination of notes - maybe the warmth of coconut/amber/vanilla contrasted by the moss (which strangely smells minty here) clashes very strongly to my nose. I want to sink into this fragrance and get lost in it, but that combination is like a sharp slap in the face. I've never smelled BL so I'm glad I didn't have that reference clouding my experience of this one. EDIT: Yeah, it got to me. I wore it 2 more times and then was hooked. I guess my nose got used to the moss. The vanilla is extremely addictive. It's one of the few fragrances that I think would be amazing in hot and cold weather. In hot, it gives carefree holidays vibes, and in cold, I can see it bringing warmth and happiness to a gloomy day.

At first spray I was instantly reminded of the heavy spicy vanilla drydown of Laboratorio Olfattivo Vanagloria, but Gioiosa is a LOT sweeter. Reminds me of hours 4 to 6 into Vanagloria. Gioiosa is like I've fast forwarded to Vanagloria's drydown, but more of a dessert vanilla then a dry smoky vanilla. I've only had it on for 30 minutes, so I will have to let it sit and review more. So far it's really beautiful! 2 hours later I still had a scent bubble, and was really enjoying the scent in the wind around me as I walked outside. 4 hours later, still going strong. This is definitely a creamy sweet gourmand. Now it is reminding me more of my memory of Alien Essence Absolue, though I haven't smelled that in a decade. I get mostly vanilla, amber, and a little coconut, orange, and jasmine. It's milky, like a cream frosting. I definitely smell like a sweet dessert, but in no way juvenile. It's classy, sexy and creamy. Lasted over 12 hours. Love 😍 FB worthy.

The opening is similar to Bianco Latte but it is a completely different scent imo. Upon first spray I thought...wait a minute, this is so close to BL. But the more I wear it, the more I realise it can’t be compared. Sure it is similar in some ways but it’s a different story. Bianco Latte’s more elegant, classy mother. I absolutely love this airy, vanilla and citrusy blend. The dry down is where I lose my mind. So fabulous. Sometimes I get a fluffy citrusy vanilla cake, sometimes citrus fruits dipped in a bit of vanilla cream. I wouldn’t say it’s super sweet, tho it is still sweet. It lasts for a such a long time, very oily texture, definitely high concentration (so careful with spraying on clothes). I also absolutely adore the packaging. Little rollerball it comes with is so useful, perfect for touch ups and personal enjoyment. I am so excited about this brand I am looking forward to trying more of their creations. So so beautiful 10/10

So this does smell extremely similar to Bianco Latte Giardini Di Toscana. I already have Bianco Latte and I love it. If you have never smelled Bianco Latte and are trying Gioiosa first you might love this with all your heart. It is a very sweetly dense creamy whipped vanilla. I don't really get the orange or citrus, it's mostly a dense sweet affair with maybe a dab of coconut but maybe not. It's also really similar to Blanche Bete. Saying it's similar does not mean it's LESS THAN only that it is really, really, really similar. You might try all three and prefer this one. My fave Profumum will always be Dulcis in Fundo. The big citrus hit that remains throughout is astonishing and I love it dearly. I also enjoy Battito di Ali but that one is like background music, although it's still really good at what it does, which is sweetly clean. I don't come across too many perfumes I'd describe as sweet and clean so I think it's special.

Gioiosa means joyful in italian... I'm a gourmand lover, but I still have a collection of spicy orientals, Anyway...this is very dense, thick, ambery vanilla, stellar performance, and an absolute crowd pleaser. It is like your favorite hamburger. Is it an original treat? no. Is it fancy? no. A novelty? no. But it is hands down the best in its category. I have bought a full bottle a few months ago and have been using it very frequently. Unbelievable longevity and great projection. If I have to compare this I would think about St.Barth Vanille West Indies before they reformulated it, it used to be very oily and had amazing longevity plus the same thick pudding-like quality to it. It is a happy easy-going choice, suitable for any occasion, cheers me up, comforting. I find the price tag acceptable due to the quality and performance. My new favorite pair of jeans to be worn all year round.

Does it share similarities to Bianco Latte? Sure. But I don't think calling Gioiosa the "more refined" or "the better" version is fair there is space for both perfumes to coexist lol.😭 To me the main differences are that BL smells like sweet, dense, honeyed, caramel syrup drizzled generously over vanilla ice cream, with a tonka bean smokiness. Gioiosa has a sunny, warm, citrus aspect with the orange and amber notes, along with coconut (None of those notes are present in Bianco Latte btw) which give the perfume a lighter, airier vibe that works better in hot summer weather in my opinion. But Gioiosa is still quite sweet, just not a heavy gourmand. That said, I love it and it is my favorite of Profumum Roma fragrances I have tried thus far. I am tempted to add it to my collection despite the insane price tag. It basically lasts all day on my skin with moderate-to-strong sillage.

Bianco latte's sexy aunt. so incredibly similar that if you own one, there's no reason to own the other. it's a bit smokier, brighter (from the citrus), and more complex than Bianco latte, but the drydown is virtually identical. one difference that was noteworthy to me is that the richness in Bianco latte is more lactonic whereas gioiosa is more on the buttery side. the performance on this is insane. It easily lasted through an 8+ hour workday and I could smell it on myself well after I got home. it isn't sickeningly sweet, but still a very sweet, caramel-y gourmand. price wise I'd still pick Bianco latte over this, but this frag has such a special charm to it, I can't get enough. do NOT over spray this unless you want to declare chemical warfare on everyone around you lmao. less is definitely more and just 3 sprays will create a wonderful bubble.

This is similar to Bianco Latte, which I own and love, but much better in terms of scent and longevity imo. It's not quite as heavy as BL, it has an airy vibe to it and is much more summer weather friendly than BL. Gioiosa, like every fragrance I've tried from Profumum Roma, has amazing longevity. I sprayed it on myself almost 12 hours ago and I still smell it on my skin as I'm writing this. It has beast mode projection as well, so a little goes a long way. Every single time I've worn this perfume, I have multiple people to tell me I smell amazing or ask me what I'm wearing. It's a beautiful, warm, creamy vanilla that will get you compliments every time. This gets a 10/10 for scent and a 1000/10 for longevity and sillage, This is not only full bottle worthy, it's back up bottle worthy!

My husband was in Rome and asked if I had anything on my wish list, and this seemed like the most fitting one to ask for. Granted, I hadn’t even smelled it previously, so I asked for the 18ml instead of committing to the 100ml bottle. This fragrance is GORGEOUS. I’m not usually a gourmand fan, but this vanilla is luxurious and sensual and warm, perfect now that the weather has turned cooler. It’s exquisitely well balanced, and the jasmine adds a floral hint that elevates it from a pure gourmand. I’m absolutely in love. My only complaint is that it’s very oily, which probably contributes to its strength and longevity, but you can feel it on your skin and definitely wouldn’t want to get it on your clothes. However it’s worth the extra care, and even on skin alone lingers all day. 10/10

This is so so good. I revisited my sample and it went from a like to a love. The longevity is impressive for one (especially being a gourmand) but it's still soft. It's powdery vanilla and coconut with a tiny drop of moss to my nose (although I wouldn't mind if the moss was more dominant) but it's one of the only coconut vanilla gourmands that work both summer and winter and blends in seamlessly. Really beautiful perfume. Over priced but beautiful. I will be buying it in a few weeks for sure! Edit to add: bought it for black Friday on luckyscent! Super excited! Made the cost hurt by 56$ less 🤣 I thought I didn't like coconut but this one changed my mind. I almost blind bought love tuberose instead, and while that does smell nice, I am glad I went with gioiosa!

One of my favorite compliments I’ve received was while wearing this fragrance; sitting at a bar top during the summer, my friend told me I smelled like, “cookies baked by a sentient race of flowers”. I totally see it. The jasmine is buttery and folded in with everything else. Warm, almost humid, like fresh baked sugar cookies with caramel buttercream frosting— baked with jasmine water the way you’d bake with rose water. Gioisa is delicious, lush, and golden. I can wear this in high summer heat without feeling cloying, even as the vanilla becomes more prominent as it wears. OMG Where do I start?? I purchased a 1ml sample of this and after testing it out for the day I immediately purchased a full bottle and it's worth it. first initial spray I get a fresh note then I get that creamy dense vanilla with a hint of coconut then it mellows down into a little citrusy amber such a delectable fragrance. It is such an amazing scent leaving an intoxicating scent trail and getting plenty of compliments throughout the day. I must admit it has a similar scent profile to Bianco latte, but not the same. Gioiosa is more refined, better quality, and longer lasting. I love how you only need a few sprays and it lasts you all day this is a powerhouse fragrance and I definitely will purchase it again, I may even purchase a backup bottle.

Almost contacted the decant company that I ordered from because I thought they gave me the wrong juice. Gioiosa does in fact smell insanely similar to Bianco Latte. The blend is much more smooth here to the point where it's hard for me to pluck out exactly what I'm smelling without the note breakdown..I won't lie. This consistently happens to me with most Profumum Roma scents that I've smelled and I love it. Bianco Latte has a heavier caramel base and the coumarin stands out more in comparison to Gioiosa, and I don't love that note. If I could go back in time, I would have purchased Gioiosa, it's beautiful. Profumum Roma performance is incredible and I'm a sucker for a seamlessly blended fragrance.

Ok, if you’ve ever smelled Bianco Latte you will think of it but only upon first spray. Now, the dry down is completely different in Gioiosa. Most beautiful jasmin in a beach paradise! Thinking of the sun on a tanned warm skin, someone next to me sipping fresh coconut water, there’s also fresh fruit in the background (not listed but to me it smells like guava/papaya), amber and vanilla... what an absolute stunner of a scent! It’s strong and projects but does not overwhelm, full bottle worthy, quality is impeccable. Love. Edit: So I got a full bottle. However this particular one seems heavier on the moss, which makes it a touch more masculine to my nose. Still love it but buyers beware...

If you're looking for a staple, simple vanilla that isn't cheap smelling, this is it. Very similar to Bianco Latte, but warmer, less synthetic and a bit less sillage. Gioiosa is very inviting and cozy, I think from the amber and coconut notes although it's not an incredibly pronounced coconut - everything plays second fiddle to the vanilla. I normally don't love how savory coconut can get as a note, but here it's done really well. I spray this on my robe after showering and before bed and it's like the perfect sleepy time vibe. That being said, it would also work during the day as its not heavy. I layer this with Musc Pallas and its literally a dream, albeit an intimate one.

A subtly floral, lightly citrus gourmand vanilla. That in combination with the creamy coconut and resinous amber smells like warm, sensuous tobacco on me. A stellar combination of notes. Enthralling, enveloping, elegant, and cozy. Blended to perfection. Smooth and pleasantly sweet. Steady intoxicating wafts. I haven’t tried Bianco Latte yet, but I’ll need a sample now that I’ve heard others likening the two. This smelled a little like PDM Althair to my nose at first sniff. I think of Althair as perfectly unisex. Gioiosa is like a more feminine take on Althair. I prefer Gioiosa. I’m spellbound. Newest addition to the Full Bottle Wishlist. MASTERPIECE

I could wax poetic about Profumum Roma Gioiosa all day long. To say it's my favorite perfume is probably an understatement, I'm obsessed with it. It's such a gorgeous vanilla-based perfume. The projection is more of a scent-bubble type, but it lasts really, really long. I have sprayed this one on my skin before bed, and I can still smell it very clearly on my skin in the morning. It's a smoother, more beautiful version of the same idea behind Bianco Latte, but without the sometimes-bothersome coumarin note. Well worth the high price tag, and will be a staple in my collection for as long as they keep making it.

The last year I’ve embarked on my perfume journey and hands down this is my favourite. I’m not normally a gourmand girl. I love clean scents but this may have converted me! I was transported to a memory of a fudge shop in a historic city that sits next to an artistic hippie store. This smells like that memory. Caramel, vanilla, and coconut with a slightly lactonic vibe and earl gray tea ringing it in. It’s delicious and warm. Perfect for winter or autumn. I can’t stop smelling my arm. It’s been on my skin for 8 hours and even after washing that spot it’s still going strong! I’m in awe. This is art.

This is an amazing vanilla fragrance, maybe my favorite at the moment. The only negative is the price but the quality is incredible and so it makes it acceptable. I like Bianco Latte and Fire at Will but this one is just so much more elegant and beautiful. I can’t stop smelling myself and it brings a smile to my face. I am glad the coconut note is not prominent on me so if you worry it will be a coconut fragrance you might actually still love this one since it does not play the main part here. This is another amazing fragrance from Profumum Roma. Hands down a must have for vanilla lovers.

A well balanced high quality vanilla characteristic of the brand. 2-3 spays last 12+ hours (don’t forget to rub it into your skin). The only twist I see is a slight green tinge. There’s something a bit fresh and minty at the top and mossy in the base. The coconut is just giving texture, not full coconut, no sunscreen. Not that exciting honestly, but very comfortable and cosy. Easy to like, easy to wear. The dry down is very lactonic and less aggressively sweet and powdery than the first half, a touch more coconut. Honestly didn’t want to love this, totally don’t need it, but it’s great.

Profumum Roma Gioiosa smells like Babycat. But it's just as hard to find and cost just as much. I smelled several of the other frags listed as similar to Babycat. Encens Suave, Mateu No.5, Lattafa Ishq al Shuyukh. I couldn't find the other alternatives for sample. None of them were good enough to keep me from purchasing Babycat. The Lattafa was the closest, BUT you have to endure 3 hours of pure mess before it gets there in the dry down. But now that I've tried Gioiosa, WOW. I love this one. Full bottle worthy. It's actually better than Babycat with the same scent profile.

Gioiosa is going to be a big hit for Profumum Roma as soon as the Tik Tokers find it and give it the Bianco Latte treatment. But it will deserve the hype way more than Bianco Latte did. While Gioiosa is incredibly sweet and unmistakably gourmand, it avoids the synthetic vanilla notes that put people like me off. It smells like buttery vanilla wafers. My son thinks it smells like Oreos and asks me to put it on before we cuddle. Fairly linear but lasts 10 hours. Moderate sillage. If gourmand cake vanillas are your thing, give this a try! A-

On first spray it was too sharp and a little screechy, probably due to the citrus notes which tend to be prominent on my skin. I was NOT vibing with it...at all, but I let it develop anyway and after 15-20 mins I understood the “Bianco Latte but more refined” references. It really is a gorgeous vanilla without being excessively gourmand. It project really well too. Every time a breeze passes, it picks up the scent and I think “damnnn that smells SO good”. You will leave a scent trail with this. It’s 100% on my full bottle wish list.

My first blind buy, and it is SOOO gooddd! I have Bianco latte in my collection, and especially since my collection is small, it was very not needed, they smell very similar. However, I definitely smell differences, with the citrus making it a bit more fresher, and it has a more honeyed lemon-cake aspect. Coconut is blended seamlessly. I have no problems with bianco latte smelling like a waxy candle, so both are just amazing but for me Gioiosa stands a little bit more out, still have to wait till the dry down to fully judge it.

In a blindfolded sniff test I probably would think this is Bianco Latte, however, I am testing them side by side and there is a difference. They are fraternal twins and Gioiosa is the prettier one. It is smoother, warmer, and more refined. That whisper of coconut is gorgeous and unassuming. The orange and amber bring a sunshiney warmth. The way this becomes one with your skin is next level. My husband says it smells like sugar cookies but I think it smells like a Raffaello. Its delicious and it is a winner.

Every now and then, a scent comes along that ruins all the others—like a bowling ball knocking down lesser fragrances like pins. I thought I loved my other gourmands until I tried Gioiosa. It’s like putting them in a death match, and Gioiosa wins every time. I even had to declutter a few that were close in scent profile because they just couldn’t hold a candle to this one. It makes me sad, in a way, because I used to love Happy Dust, & BL & the other one with the cute melty bottle.

To more experienced noses, Bianco Latte will likely smell completely different than Gioiosa. The citrus and coconut give Gioiosa a warm and bright tropical vibe whereas the white musk and milk notes give Bianco Latte a chilly and airy feel. Both are sweet, but Bianco Latte is much more saccharine. Finally, as Gioiosa dries down, the amber note emerges and gives some smokey depth whereas the white musk note in Bianco Latte remains linear. I obviously prefer, and own Gioiosa.

This perfume is so beautiful. Has maximum projection and a little more than an arm's length sillage. It's a perfect pairing tool! Pairs well with almost anything!! The only con for me is that it will stain your clothes. It is super high concentration in oil and will turn your clothes yellow in the spot sprayed. I recommend spraying it into the air and walk into it prior to putting on clothes. Price point was kind of high too. Other than that, it was an excellent blind buy!

This is such a gorgeous scent. One of the best gourmand vanillas I’ve ever smelled. It’s a warm, rich, amber-y vanilla with very slight orange and floral notes. Not enough to take away from the intoxicating vanilla though. It has a very similar DNA to BL, but it’s more complex and lasts a LOT longer. BL pulls something sharp with my body chemistry where Gioiosa is sensual and comforting. If I had to pick one, it would be Gioiosa, and It’s a compliment getter.

Got my hands on it yesterday and guys, if you like sweet creamy scents - this one's for you! Beautifully done as always by Profumum Roma, they let their ingredients shine and do the job. It's a comforting scent that reminds me a little of Vanitas, but it's completely different still. If you like Vanitas, Acqua e Zucchero, Confetto - you're going to love Gioiosa.

I just received this and sprayed it on me and I'm getting Escapade Gourmande vibes. It's delicious for sure, but nothing groundbreaking. If you already have EG and it performs well for you, I don't think you need to race to get this one. But, if you keep buying delicious, gourmand vanillas and want more in your collection, you won't be sad with Gioisa.

Oh this is so nice. It is also very similar to Bianco Latte which I have a full bottle of already and I don't need both. Gioiosa has a touch of citrus and coconut which differentiates it from BL, but overall, so similar. Both are bangars. With that being said, once I use up my Bianco Latte, I will replace it with Gioiosa. Both are 10/10.

This scent engulfs any room you walk into, it’s honestly so insane. I wore this fragrance before I got on a 10 hr flight, 5 hour layover, and another 3 hour flight AND still could smell it on my clothes on the way home and was complimented by numerous people. I am obsessed. It’s expensive but the quality truly speaks for itself.

Vanilla extract in the best way. Comparisons to Bianco Latte have been made, but I prefer Gioisa because it's more balanced and refined–it doesn't have the synthetic, dense oiliness that reminds me of stale caramel popcorn. I've probably outgrown my pure vanilla era, but if I were still looking for a vanilla HG, it'd be Gioiosa.

I’ve seen people compare this to Bianco Latte and Escapade Gourmand - I think just because they’re the hot edible vanillas right now - but I get very different vibes from each of them. Gioiosa is a literal cinnamon bun and if it wasn’t so sweet I would want to smell like this every second of my life.

I adore this fragrance. It’s my favorite vanilla coconut gourmand. I’m a gourmand girly and love anything vanilla and coconut. This is done perfectly and beautifully. You can wear this during the day or night. Everytime I wear this perfume and I get a whiff of myself, I just get so happy.
