Ninfea

This is my favorite violet note fragrance. It’s perfectly balanced. It’s floral, a bit powdery and has some sweetness. The rose note is amazing as well. It’s an intense fragrance but not overwhelming. It’s such a feminine fragrance and it makes me feel sophisticated and elegant when wearing it. The green note just adds airyness to this scent. LOVE IT ❤️

Beautiful airy rose scent for me with a dewy freshness from the “fresh cut grass” note, and that gorgeous feminine violet undercurrent bringing everything together. Is it complex or extremely unique? No. Is it a beautiful and long lasting scent? Yes. Purchased my bottle in Italy and very happy with my fragrant souvenir!

a green grassy but incredibly sweet rose, you can smell the rose front and center but the hay and grass give it a sharp edge and the honeysuckle punches up the sweetness, a strong sweet haylike rose for a rose lover only, this fragrance is not shy

Somewhat feminine, elegant with rose, violet and grass the dominant fragrances. Great sillage and longevity, as always from this house. Can be worn for all occasions but best for casual, informal occasions.

Although it is floral and fresh, it does not resemble any of the popular scents. It is a perfume that receives compliments and its performance is quite satisfactory

I had very high expectations of Ninfea: because the note list is right up my alley, because the person I got my decant from was lyrical about it, and last but not least, although it's irrational, because I love the name because of its similarity to that of my all time favourite, Ninfeo Mio. So imagine my disappointment when I really struggled with it the first few times I tried it on the back of my hand: it was so weird, vague floral notes on a bed of something musty (almost like unwashed skin) as well as a hefty dose anti-mosquito stick....not what I was expecting! As it turns out, I was just testing it the wrong way, because when I finally tried wearing it properly (on my wrists and neck), it immediately fell into place; I guess it really needs the added heat from those pulse points to come into its own, maybe because it's so much thicker and oilier than most perfumes. So now that I know how to wear it, I agree with the seller: it's really delightful! The rose and violet notes are beautiful; natural, not too sweet and neither too light nor too heavy. And the subtle grass/hay accord is a lovely setting for the floral notes. It's expensive, but obviously very high quality, and a little goes a long way (so my 5ml will last me a long time). It's great now in this unseasonably mild, drab and rainy January, but I can't wait to try it in the warmer months, when I think it will really bloom.

Ninfea made me smile. A huge smile without showing my teeth, as if I was extremely satisfied. Ninfea is a dream for the lover of violet-candy-without-being-sticky-sweet scents. I imagined the concept of infancy while inhaling this perfume. Not a child wearing this - but just a child itself and its carefree life. Running around on the street, stopping in front of a candy shop, playing in a meadow, then getting tired and wanting to go to sleep. I try, but the nymph-aspect doesn't really come to my mind. For me nymphs are light but sultry, innocent but mysterious. I missed the sultry and mysterious part. The violets do have this watery but earthy feeling though, which could be associated with those legendary nymphs. I still don't know if I would be craving for this (I'm quite satisfied in the violet-department with my collectors edition of Insolence and Love by Chloé), but it's a very nice one to consider if you're still in the search for your perfect sweet-but-fresh violet interpretation.

After an initial blast of fresh green notes that evokes its namesake (Water Lilies), NInfea settles quickly into a long-lasting powdery rose scent (do I smell oakmoss & musk which are not listed in the pyramid?) . A familiar and relatively linear composition, despite the hefty price-tag. However, as a previous reviewer mentioned, the intensity of its dry-down may imply that Profumum Roma probably uses high quality materials. On me it's still going strong after 5 hours. IMO, Ninfea is an easier one to wear than many of the other PR creations. As with every bottle in PR's line, the understated splash bottle comes in a nicely-cushioned box complete with an atomizer cap, travel-size rollerball and a funnel to suit every occasion.

Ninfea is a beautiful fragrance that only disappoints if you look at the price tag. In my search for a perfect rose, I came across this fragrance and I really, really liked it. Like other PR scents I have tried so far, it is a simple fragrance- a fresh combination of rose and violet. After an initial wave of rose, a wave of violet comes, and the scent keeps on changing like this. It is a fragrance that is very much close to the nature. There are not many additional notes here, so it really does feel like a rose garden in the morning. But anyways, as already mentioned, Profumum Roma is an expensive brand and in this case, I am not sure whether I would like to spend 200 GBP + for a bottle.

I think Gosha is quite correct- I also smell the lovely (and unexpected!) fragrance of dill hidden in the folds beneath the rose. It's that lovely aroma of a certain Persian pilaf that I love so much, adding a "green-ness" to this humble and introspective composition- such shyness in comparison to the rest of this house's offerings! I was actually quite taken with it until powdery iris became prominent at the 1-hour mark.

Pretty floral green scent which is named to evoke the light powdery olfactory feel of a water lily. The scent opens with notes of grass, honeysuckle and slight violet leading to a firm rose heart and as it dries one gets hay and synthetic musk. The feminine leaning scent has moderate projection and very good longevity. A pleasant unobtrusive summer scent perfect for casual events and informal settings. Enjoy!

This smells like the hedges of a summer cottage on a warm night right after the grass has been mown: honeysuckle, fat pale overblown roses, a very slight impression of violet pastille. It's also a little soapy and powdery at points. The overall impression is a bit childlike and simple -- this would be a safe bet to give to an extremely lucky little girl as a first perfume.

At first this scent disappointed me. For the first two hours all I could sense was expensive rose soap. Not what I like at all. The third hour the rose gets more and more muted and grass enters the stage together with honeysuckle. Lovely! I never get violets, and I am still negative to the opening but six hours in this is wonderful!

Airy... breezy... floral This is like spring time in a tropical island full of floral... I can sense some powdery notes, but the grassy violets are bringing this powder effect. It has a touch of sweetness, but i am sure this blend blooms in summertime as it gives quite an impressive cool breeze. Beautiful.

The only Profumum which I can wear and which has not the ugly plastical chemical note in it that I despise..the ugliest was Battito de Aglio. All ohter perfumes by this brand do not impress me. Ninfea really smells like something natural (the violet, the rose), like it.

This came across incredibly harsh and sharp to me; whereas, judging by the name, I’d been expecting something aquatic and peaceful. P. Roma always seems to have an unnecessary layer of sweetness, and it’s present here too. If you’re making something meant to be dewy and grassy, couldn’t it lean a bit more toward natural tones? I’m in the camp that gets a sour edge from violet, and I did here as well; nothing yet has managed to repair my relationship with that note. There’s also a hay-like nuance that could have been beautiful, but here it feels overly synthetic and abrasive. In short, this one didn’t work for me at all. Tag(s): dewy, violets, synthetic

Sadly I am really disappointed with Ninfea. Ok - it's not a bad scent (if you don't think of the price), simple, powdery/floral, but having tested a few exceptional ones by Profumum, I might be a bit spoiled. This is simple, but while the others are simple flawless perfection, this one lacks the luxurious air of things done with impeccability. It is also the first Profumum fragrance that doesn't last on me. There is a bizarre note at the very opening, that only lasts a fraction of a second, but I can't help it, it reminds me of dill of all things. That, however, disappears very quickly and all there is left pretty much unchanged for the rest of the shortish life of this scent, is really just flowery powder.

Based on the notes alone, I knew I would love this one. I am a green fragrance lover and a floral lover. I ordered a travel spray to test out. Since I’ve accumulated many fragrances, in order for me to purchase a full size bottle, whatever I have in sample or travel spray form has to “beat” similar fragrances that I already own. This was beautiful, but did not win over Oriza L. Legrand’s Oiellet Louis XV, which I own and adore. While this smelled like a beautiful, pink rose dusted with cosmetic powder, I more so enjoyed the spice provided in Oriza’s rendition. A male perspective: “Rubber...asphalt.” Now, indeed, all I can smell are rubber and asphalt.

This smells like fresh rose and violets in a freshly cut garden/mowed lawn. Nice if you like that sort of thing. I would not buy this even if it were cheap because it's not my sort of scent. I heard somewhere that apparently this brand use top notch ingredients so maybe that's why the price is so high.

I have tried Ninfea on my skin a couple of times. Every time I try it on, I'm mesmerized by it. It is elegant and curious at the same time - love the mix of rose and violet. Unfortunately, it costs €200 in Sweden. Ninfea is totally worth it, though.

I like this. Bright rose start and then nice greenness and something (maybe the honeysuckle) comes in. Really nice Violet note is very nice and the rosy-violet in the dry down is great. Very wearable and versatile.

Scent - violet greens & rose. Season/Time of Day - I prefer to use this one in the warmer months, day or night. Projection - I did get noticed, I didn't get a compliment. Longevity - I get 12hrs consistently.

Rose, tuberose and violet. Goooorgeous but a bit powdery and almost old school. Quality of the rose in this one is just superb! Underrated one from the house.
