Soavissima

Soavissima is translated to be an adjective in the English language. It means to be very sweet or very gentle. A feminine description of suave. Almost ethereal. With that definition in mind Soavissima fits perfectly with this fragrance and its description. I will admit, heavy powdery, almost baby powder like, are my least favorite types of fragrance. However, there is a quality in this fragrance specifically, that is very beautiful. Perhaps it is the generalized White florals that gives the backbone of Soavissima something to lean on. Every once in a while, I will experience a gentle waft of something so profoundly beautiful. I have no idea what it is I am smelling, but it almost stops me in my tracks. That is what saves this fragrance. If you can wear this and experience it for yourself, I guarantee you will want to purchase it. I dare say it is worth enduring the baby powder if you are not a fan. There is magic going on somewhere in this composition. I am aware Amber is here as well. I'm sure it plays a role in some fashion. Overall, I bring this up because some people don't give this fragrance a chance or enough time to experience the gift buried beneath the surface. Hopefully I have incentivized you enough to give it a try! Everything from this house is crafted by a true artisan. I have tried hundreds of other fragrances and hundreds of other houses. Profumum is still my favorite.

What a powdery delight! :-) Soavissima is very straightforward with powdery notes (not mentioned here, but very profound), white flowers and amber that are all floating together - I would say - from the beginning till the end. And the end doesn't come anytime soon! As with other Profumum fragrances, the longevity is amazing! Hours and hours later i am still getting gentle puffs of this deliciously feminine, simple blend. When I say simple - here I mean luxurious simplicity, elegant and refined laces and silk, because again - as with other Profumum fragrances, I am thinking: this is a very expensive stuff that SMELLS VERY EXPENSIVE (no matter how simple or straightforward), it's quite splendid!(Of course, you have to love powdery scents!). :-) Luckyscent.com says: "...this is the slipper-footed princess of powder scents tiptoeing about..." and I think that's a perfect description. In spite of all the luxury, this is very age-flexible scent, I think - could be easily worn by a 16 or 90 years old princess! :-)

I love Soavissima is a great perfume. It does indeed smell almost the same as Teint de Neige , one of my favourite perfumes. Soavissima is a powdery delight , I would have not guessed from the notes it was amber and iris and white flowers. No way ! I can smell a tat of iris but other than that I smell , vanilla, Tonka, rose , musk ,powdery notes ,,,, it's like a fresh out of the bath , soapy powdery sweet puff , resembles Nivea cream and childlike dreams as well as very feminine ladylike , in an innocent way , I really love this perfume and I got it as a gift from a sweet Fragrantica friend , thanks Jovette ! This is one of these perfumes that I will repurchase once it's done. It's top shelf for me along with Teint de Neige. Both have this lipstick feel, face powder smell,,, great stuff! I am finding the Profumums really great perfumes , also very long lasting and well made. I like quite a few of them.

As a gourmand lover I had a craving for a clean, fresh, baby powder, but not old lady, but clean fragrance and it’s been difficult to find. I’ve had many of failures. Soavassima has scratched the powdery olfactory itch my brain had be needing. It’s very clean powder with none of the old lady feel to it. Smells like an expensive lotion, there’s something nostalgic about it, reminds me of the 90s. This is very beautiful and lasts all day, very clean fresh out the shower pretty fragrance, I am an oversprayer and you only need 2 or 3 MAX sprays of this and you’ll smell it all day. I have nothing like this in my collection. In general, I love the house of profumum Roma. I have 3 big bottles fragrances from them and 2 samples and they never disappoint.

If you are a powder lover, look no further Soavassima is perfection in a bottle. It’s powdery, it’s clean, it’s a tad bit sweet. She isn’t sharp, or spiky. There’s no blast of what feels like screeching white florals doused in acetone. From the fist spray to the dry down she is perfection. It blows Teint de neige out of the water and that’s my second favorite fragrance in the powder realm but pales in comparison to Soavassima. There’s just something in here that can’t be replicated by the cheapies. She’s perfect and beautiful pure elegance without being old lady I love how clean I smell wearing this, it can be dressed up and dressed down. I get compliments from everyone on it

The very first day that I was wearing this perfume, I was late for work and I took a cab.Shortly after the taxi driver asked: "May I ask what perfume you're wearing? You smell like a baby." Actually I was surprised by his question cause I sprayed it only two times to my neck and I didn't expect that It would be noticeable since we were wearing masks. It really projects and fills a room.It can be overwhelming those who have migraine or those who are having a hard time with strong powdery perfumes.Definitely a winter scent.It would be nice to wear it when it's snowing outside but I live in a mediterrenian area so it's unlikely:)

Yes, it's powdery and yes it's kind of soapy too, actually it brings nothing new to the table considering the existence of Teint de Neige and L'Erbolario Iris... But it's a completely different fragrance as well. It's all what I expected to get of Chanel Misia (and never got): - powdery aspect of iris here is huge, yet classy and feminine - rich creaminess of white flowers is invigorating - makeup vibe, discreet sweetness and warmth - I don't even mind the linearity! I am one of those whose wardrobe is full of dirty leathers and dark florientals but the beauty of Soavissima is indisputable and it won my heart easily.

NUKE ALERT!! Just got my bottle today and opened the cap, installed the atomizer that comes seperately from the bottle, old cap had a drop of perfume on it, so i rubbed it on my neck so it doesnt get wasted, with one swab around the neck, people can smell and appreciate my fragrance, and i can smell it myself easily after 7 hours. This is what perfume supposed to be imo, i hate all the lightly scented designers in my collection now.. about the scent: This is a smoother teint de neige, powderbomb, angelic, very elegant. This and teint de neige are %90 identical. Love both, but i prefer this one now on ✨

Soavissima is a beautiful powdery feminine scent. I love Profumum Roma. Their fragrances last all day, and this is no exception. I tend to wear this in the cooler seasons, or to bed. Two sprays max. Very comforting..such a beauty!

so much like “lipstick rose” by frederic malle, only way better. great sillage and longevity. i still smell traces of it on my wrist after two days (after two showers)! did not let this one slip through my fingers...

The first thing I thougt was 'this is just like Teint de Neige, but much more expensive', but when de opening dries away it becomes a more ambery, beautiful scent! I love it!

Elegant & classy chic. 10/10 powdery very long lasting

On first applying this, I thought immediately that this is the smell of Guerlain lipsticks. I pulled out one lipstick from my stash and confirmed that the smell is identical. Powdery yet creamy, subtle florals and a tinge of warm vanilla. Having tried many from the house of Profumum Roma, Soavissima has the same outstanding longevity but unlike some of the gourmand powerhouses, this one feels more refined. Comparing this with Teint de Neige, TdN has more powder going on and on and on, throughout its lifetime the powder is thick and tenacious. TdN is powder and musk and brings to mind both bouncy babies and messy boudoirs. Soavissima as I mentioned, has the lipstick/make-up vibe about it without being as direct and forward as Lipstick Rose...next to the ultra feminine Soavissima, my beloved Lipstick Rose feels like a harlot! If it were a person, Soavissima would be Lady Mary of Downton Abbey, the epitome of elegance and grace. Both TdN and Soavissima are very well made perfumes, obviously for fans of powdery scents, otherwise it would be pure torture. I don't think it's necessary to have both (well if I had that much disposable income yes I'll have both) but when i finally finish my bottle of TdN I believe I will replace it with a bottle of Soavissima. I had two people remark positively (on their own voluntary will) about my perfume in the first hour of wearing alone. In a city where I haven't found perfume friends to share this passion with, I think that says a lot of the quality and presence of Soavissima. P.S Emily7 my bank account is glowering at you!

Tamlin’s review of this is spot-on. This is a strong, soapy powder overtop vanillic amber. Almost too soapy. I don’t really get the white flowers clearly but I’m not as attuned to smelling for those notes. On me, this was strong for about 5 hours. After that, I got it swirling up to me occasionally and at about 7 hours in, I mostly stopped noticing it and it became a more amber vanilla skin scent (but never totally losing the soapy powder). I don’t think I would buy a full bottle of this. It’s nice but doesn’t distinguish itself enough to be worth having it as well as my favorite powder fragrance (and overall fave), Loukhoum from Keiko Mecheri.

Rose, iris, amber... subtle gardenia and vanilla, anyone? This isn't my thing, but I would very-much enjoy smelling this on someone else- if that makes sense? It reminds me of what my grandmother smelled like, and she was a 1940's girl. It is sweet, feminine, clean, a touch of powder and rose-scented soap and a white cake for dessert and kind words and dignity- very-nicely done! A few hours later: Hold everything! The top notes have subdued... and this is definitely NOT my grandma. I like it. :-)

A thick, dense, but ultimately soft cloud poised precisely between a powdered-white-chocolate gourmand and a plastic doll scented with baby powder. It is enormous, expensive-smelling and lasts until you shower it off. There's something a little twisted about it. Like it makes me want to take up smoking again and wear too much eye makeup. I don't know if this will ever work for me in this lifetime, but I am enjoying my sample very much and would love to meet the people who wear this every day.

Powdery fairy like scent that reflects the smell of childhood beauty. The scent contains in the forefront amber, light white flowers and orris and in the background light citruses, angelica, almond and vanilla. The feminine leaning scent has moderate projection and good longevity. Comforting and nostalgic, and literally translated to very sweet. Enjoy!

Save your money and buy Junoon.

This is a very big disappointment for me. Promises much but couldn’t deliver. The iris not is so strong that you have to smell it from a distance. Amber is listed as a note but you cannot distinguish it because of the iris note. Sad that i own a bottle. I layer it with amber fever to add more and decent amber to it. I have to finish the bottle unfortunately, one way or another. Büyük umutlarla aldım ancak kalıcılık ve silaj açısından zayıf buldum. Parfüm bir orjinallik, çarpıcılık içermiyor. Çok güvenli sularda seyrediyor. Notalardan bahsetmeyeceğim zira yukarıda hepsini sıralamışlar zaten ben son kullanıcı olarak neler hissettiğimi belirtiyorum. Risk almadan, pudralı ve çiçek gibi kokayım diyorsanız ve para harcamak sizin için ok ise alabilirsiniz. Ama bu paraya çok çok daha yüksek performanslı bir parfüm alabileceğiniz de bir gerçek.

Profumum Roma has some fantastic perfumes, but also some really odd ones. Soavissima falls into the latter category. The name translates to ‘very sweet/gentle. Which I sort of get, but at the same time there’s something wrong with all of it. On the one hand it’s lovely and clean; fresh and soapy, delicately soft and powdery with a subtle iris finish. On the other hand however, there is an astringent clinical smell with strong disinfectant vibes. It comes across like a lovely dove beauty bar covered in hand sanitiser. I really like parts of this fragrance, and I want to love it, but it just smells off, and it’s something I can’t get past. It reminds me of A Goodnight Kiss by Roja, if everything about it went wrong.

Ok, i got a sample of this. First spray is very ripe and fruity. Is that the iris? It reminds me of mullberries. That fruit note stays throughout and slowly the powder note creeps in. Very faintly i notice the amber. This is far, far, far from the wonderful Teint de Neige.

How can a scent with such a simplistic note list (of amber, iris and white flowers - which I usually love) be so cloyingly sweet? This is not light in nature, it’s heavy and densely thick, like a sweet floral syrup. It’s what I remember Calpol to taste like, as this has a child’s medicine vibe. It’s the only fragrance from Profumum Roma which I cannot stand. It’s like a child with sticky, white-chocolate hands from touching a melted Milky Bar has then touched a doll-head and sprinkled baby powder all over it and also somehow spilt sweet, syrupy, liquid cough-medicine. I’m totally outside of my comfort zone.

Wow this perfume is strong! With just 4 sprays, it could be smelled in the next room over. So it’s a beast and lasts on my skin about 6 hours. (Perfumes rarely seem to have staying power on my skin.) the problem with this is that to me it smelled like crazy strong baby powder mixed with Dawn dish soap, and it didn’t change at all over the day. I guess I’m not a powder person, or at least I don’t enjoy this much powder in a perfume. It was overwhelming and frankly, suffocating.

I keep thinking that 'soave' is italian for 'soap'. This scent is like strong but cheap incense, or old-fashioned perfume soap. I would expect to smell like this, were I an old nun... Maybe I was mistaken about liking 'powder' notes... I dunno... But I will not put this scent on, again. Free Soavissima sample, anyone? NB this is the strongest perfume I have ever encountered. Just one drop hugged me in a cloud of unwanted soap smell for hours on end!

Utter fail. I have tient de neige and love it so much! I use it for layering especially in my climate, Soavissima is nothing like it. It has a sour wetness to it. The first is dry and powdery and fluffy. This is wet powder. And for the price!? NO. Save your monmon If you like wet sour powder keep in mind this lasts like an hour tops.

I almost bought the expensive Soavissima 100 ml pefume, but then decided to think about it. Checked the sample at home several times, and realized it is not what I've been looking for. Soavissima is pleasant, powdery, soft, dust settles slowly. But after that nothing happens. Nice bottle, though.

Simply too strong and overpowering. The powdery accords are very sharp and sweet while the musks and iris create a weird waxy feel that results in an overly abrasive scent. If this were toned down a notch it could be a decent alternative to something like Teint de Neige or Insolence.

Very soapy, powdery iris. To my nose it has a sharpness (much like Alba) that makes it a bit unpleasant and nose-scrunching. Other than that it's actually very nice and pleasant - like freshly-pressed laundry. But that's it for me; hard pass.

I don't like powdery fragrances and I can't understand the reason why some people wants to smell like an old woman. I love profvmvm creations, but this one is not for me.

Honestly I feel like this is almost too strong... I guess there's a simple solution for that: just use less! But I didn't even use that much, I just applied a little from a sample on my hand and even that just felt sort of overbearing when smelling it close up. The scent itself is nice, a clean and soapy iris, very feminine, and smelling it at a distance when just getting wafts through the air it was quite pleasant. But if I put my nose near my hand to smell it, it was just too much, almost cloyingly intense which sort of worked against the clean and soapy vibe which I think works better when it feels more light and airy. Less is definitely more with this fragrance. A few hours into the drydown it's quite nice even at close range, but at this point it's very similar to Profumum Roma's other Iris-focused fragrance Alba. Alba is a little more nutty and has a bit more of a warmer lotion vibe, while Soavissima just purely soapy, but they are definitely quite similar. Ultimately, I prefer Alba to this.

Beautiful, soft, sweet and slightly powdery floral scent with an almond type of creamy gourmand hint. I’m a lover of iris and can barely translate this as an iris scent for some reason. It feels more like nondescript mixed floral to me. It lasts for ages, I dabbed a small amount on my arms and neck and I can still smell it almost 24 hours later. I had to give this one time the first times I tried it but eventually it grew on me. Now I don’t want to be without it. Potent but subtle at the same time. Love!

I really love Profumum Roma’s range but Soavissima did not work for me. For the first 20 mins it smelled like the a concentrate of the original Dove soap bars, but it’s so potent I wasn’t able to bear with it and see if it developed into something different. I started to feel oppressed by the cloud of soap I found myself inhabiting and had to wash it off. Though after a couple of scrubs I can still smell it. Normally the strength and longevity of Profumums works in my favour - but not today.

Was pleasantly suprised, i was thinking in the park of dior homme original och softer iris fragrance. But oh boy i was wrong! Super soapy, powdery and elegant scent. More reminiscent of Xerjoff pikovaja dama or Amouage gold man for likes. This smells like an italian fragrance! More female orientated but find it overall unisex. Try it before you but it. 3 sprays and it filled my entire bedroom for 2 days 😂🎉

Powdery white floral mix (not really iris), then creamier and sweeter white floral mix. I agree that there are slight almond and shampoo aspects. A very innocent and pure white scent for a young ballerina. Reminds me of a lower quality version of Puredistance Antonia, though it’s not poor quality. Smells nice. Somewhat boring. Medium sillage and longevity.

It's interesting how everyone perceives fragrances differently. I don't smell the powdery notes, nor anything "expensive". To me this could be an almond/amaretto -based pastry or drugstore shampoo - very reminiscent of something from the 80's that I don't think I liked. It's not bad, but definitely nothing to write home about.

Dama bianca, Junoon, Teint de Neige, L’occitane shea. This is a heliotrope powdery fragrance. I understand the baby powder comparison but baby powder is a cold, “spiky” smell and not almondy, “round”. This is almondy round even though it doesn’t have an almond or almond- like note.

Upon first application, it reminded me of a sour turned perfume! not very pleasant on my nose. About half an hour later, it does a complete u-turn, drying down into a pleasantly warm and powdery long lasting scent, with a slightly animalic note.

Scent - iris powder. Season/Time of Day - I prefer to use this one in the colder months, day or night. Projection - I did get noticed, it garners compliments. Longevity - I get 24hrs consistently.
