Thundra

In the beginning, there is something like an “old lavender forgotten in a closet vibe”, giving it a little bit of an old-school/vintage feel. However, after 2 or 3 hours, it all blends together and becomes perfect. The dry down is also perfect! The dry down is somehow similar to the dry down of Opus 1144, with a subtle balsamic and powdery shade. It's hard to compare them directly, but they share some similarities. I find the dry down to be the best part of the fragrance, and I even wear it to sleep, so in the morning you will wake up to dry down 😀 My girlfriend recognizes this perfume more like a female fragrance (from my point of view she recognize the powdery aspect of musk? of this fragrance like female scent), and she really likes it. (I can agree too, that the rich humus soil is creating something like floral aspect on top of it, but at the base is still dirty and wet) I, being a 33-year-old male who prefers street-style things, am not ashamed to wear this, even though it's from 1996 and may be considered a little outdated for some people. I would say that it might be too heavy for summer, but I plan to try it on a hot summer night to see how it performs and its working very well in the beginning of summer with 27 Celsius. Also, there must be some negative things about it, so if you sweat quickly in warm weather, like me, the perfume fades from your skin relatively quickly, much faster than a regular perfume without an "oily" consistency. I have sampled 15 perfumes from Profumum, and this one is by far the best♥️ (dont like vanilla and citrus fragrances from their portfolio). It has quickly become my favorite out of approximately 200 perfumes that I've tried. I'm so impressed with it that I will buy a full bottle. Sometimes, I get more of a powdery-“floral” side from the fragrance, but more often, I get an earthy/dirty side and there is more several positions between this 2. It's like a cold herbal scent, opposite to warm and spicy fragrances. However, as I mentioned before, it takes about an hour and a half for it to start reveal its real magic. The first hour may not always be very pleasant for some people due to the mushroom introduction (im enjoying it from start to end), but it does all depend on the amount of perfume and the distance of application from your body and technique of application. I also found out that when you store the perfume in the refrigerator, the smell is more reminiscent of roots dug out of the ground. I also found that it smells little bit different if you apply 1 or 2 atomisers. According to Profumum's notes, it is recommended to massage the perfume into the skin because their perfumes are highly concentrated. When I do that, the first hour becomes better, levander/mushroom introduction transform much faster but the duration of the perfume becomes shorter and the dry down is not as beautiful. Looking ahead, this perfume has sparked my interest in exploring more earthy fragrances. If there's something out there that's more similar to "thundra," I would be interested in trying it. As a final recommendation, I suggest pairing this fragrance with the Marbert-Classic Man shower gel (red bottle). Sometimes i used it after basil shower gel, then im wondering what will happend if you replace mint with basil in this fragrance? The bad thing about it is, when you have still in the skin chemistery some leftovers from other perfumes and then you applied Thundra it can smell like some weirdly soapy flowers. My theory is, the more you wear it, the better it smells on your skin. It remains in skin quite long time, so when you have it already like base and you’ll apply it again its much better than before. I was running trip in thundra like this whole week and it was perfect!

If patchouli would grow in Arctic environments it probably would smell like the patchouli in Thundra. In one way Thundra is the cold version of Serge Lutens Borneo 1834. They are both strong on the patchouli and with high demands on the person wearing them, but at the same time they are very different. Thundra is aromatic, powerful and also cold, somewhat distant. Like being surrounded by air with the smell of snow in it. The mint in Thundra isn ́t really minty, it just make the patchouli refreshing, high tuned and very different from most takes on patchouli. Usually I like warm scents better than cold, but Thundra is that unique I feel like wearing it from time to time. Just to remind me of how patchouli also could smell. Otherwise I think Thundra is great on my husband, usually he wears cold scents better than me. Recommend it to everyone that likes a good patchouli, to everyone looking for an unique patchouli, and for everyone with an adventourus mind, heart and soul.

A mixture of soapy musk with patchouli gives me a pine-fir effect. Dried mint. No mushrooms. A very strange perfume, super-retro. Not a fan of retro, to be honest. But this one is somehow enticing, most likely it is sentimental, for a rare mood. Reminds me of some abstract men's colognes from my childhood and a coniferous bath extract that was popular in my homeland many years ago. The scent is very natural, like some elixir from an old pharmacy, mixed by hand. It is clearly a scent for yourself, meditative, and it has good longevity and a moderate sillage that will not bother others. Is it really perfume? I'm not sure. The name is beautiful, but why a "pine" perfume is named after a treeless wasteland is a mystery. It's not Tundra, it's Taiga.

This is the perfume I've been looking for forever. The smell of damp forest and soil. Too me this isn't a frozen thundra, this is woods after rain or like a cool root cellar. The patchouli is heavy in this one but with the mint comes a certain freshness, as with the musk. I was recommended this when searching for a lavender sent and it does smell like lavender. It has a certain stinginess, but not like Carons Pour un Homme e.g. Still, there's a smoothness to it, but not at all as smooth as my other lavender alternative, Kiki Voile d'Extrait from Vero Profumo, which lingers like a sweet summer's morning. Thundra has so many layers; it is in a way brutal, yet sublime. I just can't stop smelling myself whenever I put this on. Love it to bits.

This is one of my favorite fragrances. I have about 2 spritzes left in my bottle, and I am dreading using them up, because despite my love I don't think I am going to spring for another bottle. It reminds me so much of being outdoors on a certain kind of day in autumn when the intense Indian Summer is shutting down on the way towards winter. It's very evocative of the forest, the moist floor of the forest, ferns and moss, dew laden fir boughs, the heavy, clean and damp air of the rain forests of Northwestern Washington, where I loved to walk ... So I am on an avid search right now to find something else that will take me there. Any suggestions?

There’s a lot of patchouli but luckily it’s not musty - it’s that clean green minty one. There’s also a lot of white musks making it not damp, but more like moist, wet, full and round in the nose. It doesn’t smell of a cold, middle of winter Thundra - more like the one at the beginning of spring in a full sun. There is some wet wood after the opening, a touch of mushroom-like damp even but all in all that’s a green moist musky fresh patchouli. Has some kind of a grandpa and wearable balance, I still have to think whether I’d like to own and wear it. Very concentrated, leaves your skin very oily. Unisex, I’d even wear it in the summer.

Surprisingly, my favorite from the brand and I've smelled almost all of them. I thought I would gravitate towards the ambers or maybe more of the popular ones, but no. This is a very unique patchouli indeed. Minty, smooth, musky patchouli, and it is one of the most serene fragrances I've come across. There is something so calming about this. Comes off to me as a bit cold, a bit damp in a way, leafy, but oh so therapeutic. Not sure what season I'd wear this in. I'm almost leaning towards... whenever the hell you want. It's not a beastmode scent in terms of projection so I think this could suit any situation.

Another simple and beautiful scent from Profumum Roma. With the simplest natural and high quality ingredients it is amazing how they create such evocative scents. In this balmy and light offering, there are only 3 notes: Mint, patchouli and white (synthetically derived) musk. The scent has an aromatic and light feeling and is perfect for sultry Spring and Summer days. It has a somewhat therapeutic feel to it and can be classified as a unisex scent with moderate sillage and good longevity. A simple and stunning winner from this very interesting house I can never get enough of. Enjoy!

I usually don't like too much patchouli in a fragrance, but this swept me of my feet. And the interesting part is that I've tried it during a typical extremely warm summer day, and it actually worked out for me perfectly. The scent is so cold and wet that is refreshed me during the heat and somehow evokes thinking of how I love being alone and spending time on myself, which I rarely do. Will try to purchase because it is rare smelling, beautifully blended cold patchouli - mint fragrance that for me has the best description in the name itself. Thundra. My rating: 9/10

So spectacular, an earthy, anise, lavender live for life scent. This is what I have been missing. Glad I purchased. Musk rounds it all out. Drydown is very comforting and protective. Makes you feel you can take a day at the office or a day on a mountain in deep woods. This House amazes me with their bottles. You also do not need to many sprays with this one. Can overwhelm on the drydown and you will project but in a good way. A tempered drydown though projects. Evolves into a beautiful and calming barbershop fougere. Wow.

My sister gave this 10/10 and it was a wow-effect. A very pleasant, high quality parfume from one of the greatest parfume houses imo. In the opning I get the mint, but it is gone after 30 min. Then its just a musky patchouli on the skin. It is a smooth white musk similar to that in Silver Musk from Nasomatto. Very easy to wear. Last long time.

Oh god, you need to wait to the drydown, this is amazing! Hypnotic smell.

It clearly is a mint and patchouli scent just like the notes say, but in combination they somehow really smell like fresh mushroom. It's like a hologram - you think it's a mushroom but when you look closer you realize it's a realistic wood carving of a mushroom. There's an earthy, woody base from the patchouli (the same kind of dirty patchouli which is in Profumum Roma's Patchouly) and a effervescent, green freshness from the mint, and together give the definite impression of wet soil and fresh mushrooms while still somehow feeling woody, a bit dry, and clean. It's a very interesting effect, like a piece of abstract 3D art that looks like two different things at the same time. Some aspect of the earthy fresh combo also reminds me of the smell of freshwater lakes. As it dries down the mushroom vibe slowly disappears and after about 5-6 hours what remains is mostly a warm, woody, slightly vanillic skin scent. Longevity isn't quite as epic as other Profumum Roma fragrances, but still good. Very interesting and surprisingly pleasant scent, especially considering the imagery it conjures and the fact that I don't even really like mushrooms. It doesn't really fit my personal style but I absolutely respect it. Like many other Profumum Roma fragrances this feels pure, natural, raw and realistic. Consistently amazing quality fragrances from this house.

After the coolness, Patchouli reveals its true nature. The front probably feels like melting snow. Good quality. When the morning mist clears. On the plateau, it is still a little cold, and the air is not cold. The pure snow water, melted under the sunlight, soaked into the frozen cracked ground under the feet, penetrated into the heart and spleen, and nourished the moss plants covering the rocks. Thundra came out in 1996, so it is an "old" incense. If you want to experience true minimalist beauty, Thundra is an option, basically a three-ingredient formula. Tried it for my family and Thundra received positive reviews. "It smells good and fun", "it's like an essential oil at home." They weren't surprised when I said it was inspired by the frozen ground, and told me they did smell the tundra. This is the message that smell can convey. As for the accuracy of the message, each person may have different interpretations of the details of the message, but they generally have something in common. Thundra may seem monotonous, but it is not. From the feedback of users, whether it is the fit degree of the name and the fragrance, or the creation of the artistic conception, it can be known from this. A realistic natural landscape fragrance.

Soapy scent. Clean and musky. In the opening, i get a fresh almost sawdusty scent. I love that. As the fragrance sets, it becomes a soapy musk and patchouli fragrance. You'll smell like you just took a shower and are now as clean and fresh as you can be. I don't get much mint. Might just be my skin. But I Really have to focus on it to even notice the mint. Up close, it smells a little weird, very much like playdough. But in the air, it's great. Perfect for work, for casual days and any occasion where you want to smell clean. I can also easily see this being a winner in formal settings as well. It's a maskuline leaning fragrance, but not completely impossible for a woman to pull off. Personally, i think it smalls too much like a "clean man" to be attractive on a woman. But to be professional and serious, it could definitely work. And for a mane going on a first date, this will be perfect. What woman doesn't appreciate when a man smells clean and freshly showered? Personal score: 7/10. I enjoy it. Post Edit: I can see a lot of people compare it to damp/musty forest/swamp. I guess i can get that impression somewhat if i focus on it. But to me, this just smelled clean and freshly showered (which often smells damp).

Profumum Thundra involves a relatively straightforward trio of mint, patchouli, and musk. I'm generally not a fan of mint, but as with Viktor & Rolf Antidote, Thundra begins with a very tasteful use of mint in its opening, which ultimately gives way to the patchouli more so in the dry down, eventually to the point that it's basically a patchouli bomb with a hint of musk. It smells gentlemanly and balanced at the beginning, and then mostly patchouli-dominant in the dry down. For many, I imagine this dry down is a good thing, but it's not quite for me. While I enjoy patchouli when mixed with other notes, a patchouli-dominant fragrance is rarely something I enjoy. Thundra leans a little masculine, as I generally think of patchouli-dominant fragrances, but it's unisex enough for women. It's a great performer, as well, as is Profumum's signature, so there's value if you love the scent. I like it and appreciate it, but just don't love it. 7 out of 10

An earthy-minty scent, like peppermint tea with patchouli. It feels like wet leaves. It's woody, moist, and a little bitter. I usually love patchouli-dominant scents, but I find myself feeling indifferent about this one. UPDATE: I've tested this a few times since my initial review, and it's taken me a while to wrap my head around this fragrance. Maybe my impression has changed because the weather is cooler now, or maybe my chemistry has changed, but I finally feel like I am understanding the mint note here. It makes the patchouli chilly, and breezy, but the most remarkable benefit I have noticed is that it's great for days when I have a nagging headache. It's refreshing, and makes me want to breathe deeply. Still, it's a patchouli-dominant scent, which makes it grounding. And, after an hour or so, it dries down to a gentle, slightly chocolate-y patchouli base.

This is so much more than just 3 notes - patchouli, mint and white musk - I get liquorice root with lavender as my two main notes. It has an anise note, with a soft, hay-like wood and camphor notes that’s both bitter and sweet like fennel. The patchouli here is earthy but more floral and sweet with herbal and balsamic undertones. It must be the combination of the patchouli with the mint, as I’m getting strong lavender nuances. This is interesting as lavender is a member of the mint family. I also possibly detect some ‘coumarin’ which is the compound in freshly mown hay. This is quite artisan and very niche - I like it a lot. I’d describe it as a herbaceous and aromatic, liquorice root scent with patchouli, lavender, moss, guinea pig hay and a little cosy white musk in the base.

Sometimes, less is more. I was intrigued what three notes can do- and believe me, they can do a lot. Thundra first intrigued me with a name, and then with a scent. As you could imagine, it is cold, wet, harsh. Awakens feelings of solitude, loneliness and separation from the world. It is mainly about mint and patchouli, which give it an earthy character livened up by herbal, fresh accords. A great scent for meditation, smells natural as a forest after the rain. Because of its harshness, I cant really wear it- it is one of the scents you need to be mood in, and I would definitely see it on a man rather than on a woman...

I agree with BGBG, who poses the question that there must surely be lavender in the perfume? Indeed, the opening phases of Thundra are very much like Jan Barba's Anglais, which is a lavender bomb. A very natural, rather darkish smelling lavender. If anything, Thundra is just a bit easier to take. A bit smoother but with the added dimension of wet soil and mushroom, which Anglais doesn't have. As the scent progresses, the lavender recedes and the patchouli becomes the dominant player.

Opens medicinal and herbaceous and develops into a rich, peaty soil. Performance applied directly to skin from my tester vial was not great but it may be a different story if it was in a vaporisateur. I enjoy this but won't be buying a full bottle for the performance and because I feel that Imaginary Authors' "Every Storm a Serenade" fulfills this wet, earthy scent category for me. It's more aquatic, perhaps a bit more musty than Thundra, but gives me a very similar mood.

Cold Elegance (1996) Tundra - cold vastness punished by even colder wind. Gray skies above, permafrost beneath. This scent really evokes me that inhospitable place. It started with cold mint and earthy patchouli, reminding me of Icelandic lichen pastilles. Musk gradually amps up, resulting in more elegant composition. In the base some sweet note shows up, maybe ylang ylang or vanilla. Beautiful and peculiar composition. Surprisingly wearable. Rating: 7/10

I have smelled this about two years ago from a sample and loved it, my first impression is that this captures whichever frigid, humid, dense mossy highland it was trying to depict. However after trying this again at the store a while back, I realized it was simply not wearable for me. In my memory it was refreshing, but the reassurance told me it's instead stagnant and a bit suffocating. It smelled old, and I don't want to smell old.

An intriguing opening of green and mushroom notes that, after about five minutes, transitions into a refreshing minty accord. I was pleasantly surprised by this shift and found it quite appealing. It’s an intimate fragrance, much like many from PR, yet it seems to have solid longevity. There’s a subtle medicinal undertone, but I enjoy how the mintiness harmonizes nicely with the musk.

Still recognizably patchouli, but patchouli pushed to the very farthest end of the "minty patchouli" spectrum. That is to say, it doesn't smell like mint added to patchouli, per se, so much as enhancement of patchouli's innate mintiness.

Ah, chock full of patchouli. I do like patchouli, but all I could think of was that I smelled like Zizanie. Great longevity.

I wish I knew what was actually in this fragrance because there's no way in hell this is just white musk patchouli and mint. This smells like lavender (almost soapy with how much it has) with patchouli. So I basically do not care for half of whatever this is. I will give it credit in a sense that it is HARD to find a patchouli fragrance that does not rely on amber, gourmand leaning notes- and I appreciate it for being unique. But that's it. It is almost impressive at how frustrating it is to find a solid patchouli fragrance where it is not ruined by some other bullshit note, respectfully.

It reminds of the scent my father would spray on the mornings that we left for vacation. He wore Cool Water and Brut. It's fresh and herbal and masculine. It smells a little salty in a clean way. I put a drop in the fold of my elbow and it has lasted for 12 hours. It is calming/therapeutic to me but it evokes pleasant memories. On a side note, I put Premier Figuier on the other elbow and it compliments Thundra. The local weather is warm, very humid and cloudy which works well with both fragrances. I didn't find occasions/moods to wear Premier Figuier but this type of weather suits it.

At first this smells really good albeit a bit old-school. However after a while I noticed that it smells very similar to John Varvaros Vintage cologne. Not a bad thing but overall this is more like something my Dad would wear. Feels a bit dated to me.

I'm not sure if this "Thundra" is a winter perfume, symbolic of melting ice on the Tundra. Or if it's a summer smell, symbolizing the humid earth during a thunderstorm. Either way, this scent is vivid and mystifying. The first note I smell is fresh cut lavender. I now realize this may just be the fresh, icy note of mint paired with herbaceous patchouly. There is also an incredibly vivid petrichor. It is not an overly wet, or concrete aroma. Instead, it feels more "humid." Like the smell of a still-humid thundershower. There may even be a bit of mossiness to it as well. Overall, this fragrance feels very cold, damp and somewhat soothing. However, the petrichor note is a bit jarring for me. It dampens the fresh feeling with a mustiness that I am not overly fond of. I think it's a good fragrance if you enjoy a petrichor note.

I don't know why the high-terpene scent of pine is not listed- for me it is the strongest note, which dissipates a bit during the initial drydown- but not enough for me to avoid thinking of days when my mother cleaned with Pine-sol. And, as it protrudes just that much, I find this scent not as "together" as some of the house's other fragrances- many of which are exquisite! The patchouli level is lovely here- almost subliminal, and adds a nice, dark warmth to the coldness of pine. There is a flower in the heart which I cannot identify. Vanilla and musk are very-delicate humming underneath. If only they'd bring the pine down a notch, and perhaps combine it with a warmer wood (juniper/cypress, perhaps)- then I'd be sold on this logger's dream.

It's a cold, green pine scent that eventually turns into something that resembles every green chypre fragrance out there. Maybe some moss, a bit of patchouly, probably some lavender, cypress, citrus up top, a little spice of some sort. Nothing ground breaking. If you want to smell like cold, green, wet forest this might do the trick. It's not bad by any means, and definitely a little bit different from most scents in the category, but it's not something I want to smell like all day.

The guy at the perfume store said to me "this one smells like a swamp and mushrooms, I think you'll love it!" and it did indeed, open wet and peaty. But on me it grew powdery, though it did maintain some of that outdoorsy-ness, like being outside on a cold day going through your grandmother's purse. A bit too old fashioned. VERY long lasting: smell sticks even after a hot shower and it's still on my clothes after three washes, and that's with a single spray.

Thundra had a strong medicinal feel for me. It smelled like a pine essential oil I often use for nasal inhalations when I have viral cold. The mint note in it almost resembles a Vick's vapor chest rub. Strangely though, this fragrance was comforting and cooling, even tranquilizing - so could be a great complementary scent for those hyper types who bounce of the walls.

Yeah, so turns out I hate patchouli. This isn't as bad as Amouage Interlude Man, but yeah it's way too strong and medicinal for me. And a lot of the reviews for this don't make any sense to me.

Eh, I'm not quite getting the frozen tundra concept. To me it just smells like a urine sample from someone who's been eating asparagus. õ.O Weird.

Thundra is a thawed chill, warming into loamy mushroom swirls, sprigs of pennyroyal and catnip, minty and cool. There are traces of petrichor, dust and dirt just dampened ever so slightly. Humus is the dark, organic component of topsoil. It is the dead and decaying material, dried leaves, twigs, grasses, vegetables, microbes, the place where seedlings and saplings thrive, that is another element of Thundra as the petrichor recedes. I would guess that lavender aldehyde (isodihydrolavandulal) was used in this composition: wet dirt, ripened tomato undertones, blueberry, an organic fust, the more fungal aspects of lavender. This colors the composition beautifully, making it ever more beguiling. Then the heart of Thundra really comes through: the patchouli, a marvelously musty patchouli, too, that wraps its arms around all of the above and grows in, around, and through it all. A vegetal muskiness, almost like angelica root, accompanies this patchouli. I grew up near a pond, Little Sandy Pond, and I recall that smell in my earliest memories, of fresh pond water, and I am greeted by that memory with Thundra further into the dry down. The nostalgic, wistful, feeling of being six years old at the pond. Across the pond there were houses lining its shore. Each house would be a marker to see how far I could swim out on my own before getting in over my head: I still recall what a number of these houses looked like. I can smell the pond water, feel the sun, hear the sounds, hoping to one day swim out to that last house I see on the other side revealing itself beyond the trees. Thundra becomes that last house, beyond the trees, where I now see the distant cranberry bogs...and I am old enough to swim across the pond.

A very decent petrichor-like scent. My best personal reference is something like Le Labo's Baie 19 but concentrated down to a darker patchouli note without the soapy, clean linen effects. It dries down to something more musky and earthy but not particularly complex. I agree with the reviews mentioning mushroom-like aromas and soil, but it's paired with a minty, camphorous quality that feels fresh and invigorating, at least for a little while. The dry down mostly feels muddled in dark greys and notions of cold, damp vegetation and it's pretty in a melancholic, silent moment in nature type way, but I struggle to imagine moments I'd want to smell like this. I could see coming back to this with a different opinion as it probably rewards discovering small details in different types of weather.

mushrooms, patch, soaps, pine (?) and camphor (?); somewhat damp and linear; long lasting but not very much projecting; high quality, oily - very much profumum roma; feels like a kind of old-style / retro grooming routine scent; not old money but old elegance kind of. it has a lotion which sort of enhances the scent further. its unisex but i think it is a bit easier to pull off for a guy. it has a serious and positive cast: something conservative, sober, comforting but may be a bit distant. EDIT: it's soapy and austere drydown reminds me of Dior Fahrenheit's.

I smell patchouli and mint, absolutely. But I smell so many things that aren’t listed. I’m not sure if it’s sort of an olafactory illusion created by the play between the two, but I get a strong impression of lavender, hay, chamomile, moss. This is certainly the medicinal, herbal sort of patchouli, but it doesn’t feel bitter or unpleasant. To my nose this is peaceful, dreamy, languid. Eventually it dozes off into a skin scent: the tangle of musky sheets warm from the drier. It’s hardly mindblowing, but it’s well done.

Mossy mouldy lavender haystack :) It smells frighteningly natural and rich, and due to its monster silage and super longevity may actually turn some heads. The combination of musk+patchouli+moss and whatever herbs they put in there make it absolutely unwearable for me. Maybe if it weren't this concentrated it would have been a lot more wearable, or if there were more floral and/or citrus notes mixed in for some contrast. I think its aimed at a more trained and sophisticated nose than the average.

It's very intimate scent. First it smells like forest in autumn, mushrooms and wet leaves... After 15 minuties there becomes something sweet... something so sexy... Yes, it's smell for special mood, for meditation or for sex, may be for dreaming... It's smell for understsnding yourself and to open you real nature for the world. But try it only on your skin and wait... If you don't like it - try it anohter day (only for women).

As I go deeper into Profumum Roma philosophy I unconciously try to identify each fragance with an aspect of the ancient Roman Empire. When trying Thundra I find myself sat around a bonfire beside emperor Trajan, maybe in one of his campaigns in Dacia in the middle of the Carpat Mountains surrounded by the trees of a thick humid forest, breathing the momentary peace and silence of the place, breathing what the trees breathe.

Interesting! It smells a bit like damp earth + mint-chocolate chip ice cream. It's too "cold" to be cozy, but there is an addictive "nuzzle-me" quality about it. I could see it being GREAT on a hot humid summer day. It does open up a little butch, but the dry down is perfectly unisex. As is practice for Profumum Roma, performance is great. I think this is similar to, but much better than, Bruno Acampora's famous musk. 3.5/5

My nose is not refined enough to analyse all the notes, however all I know is that the mushroom opening is fantastic. Not often to I get the urge to spontaneously buy perfume, but this is one of those rare occasions. Earthy, green, and medicinal and balsamic just right. Then to balance it all the powdery bits arrive. Great perfume and definitely full bottle worthy IMO.

You are roaming marshlands beyond the polar circle in the late summer. You are stepping on mossy soil crushing cloudberries beneath your feet as you traverse further. You hear constant zing of mosquitos in your ears and you have to stop and spray repellent. A very naturalistic, accurate, and transporting scent as understood by someone who lived in the Arctic.

To me the mint is very very muted and this smells of Petrichor , musk & ambergris. If you like Tiziana Terenzi's Ursa or Straight to Heaven, this is the dry down amped up to 50. It smells like you are walking in a forest after rain. The mint to me, makes it a litte soapy.
