It opens with a vibrant mix of pepper, creating a bright freshness. As it settles, the sharpness melts into a smooth, liquid and smoky resins. It feels both dense and gentle at the same time. Patchouli sustains the freshness, while the dry down wraps everything in a sweet, ambery warmth. Feels like emotions torn in half, drifting in opposite directions, yet still drawn to each other.

Big fan of this one. Got samples of this and Martyr from Stéle and I really liked both, especially Fatale. I think my nose just likes to smell iris because to me Fatale is predominantly an iris fragrance. The opening brings strong peppery facets as well as a wisp of incense and charred woods, very ember-like, but again, the iris is the most predominant note to my nose, I'd call the scent "bright gothic". As mentioned by DzikiMaster below me the pepper does indeed fade away quickly, and within an hour this becomes an incense-iris scent, the incense being quite liturgical but also staying closer to the skin. The iris itself really brings to mind the current batches of Dior Homme Intense in how it's smooth but not waxy, buttery or powdery at all, this uses my favorite version of iris as a note. Despite being listed in the notes and being mentioned by basically every other person who has tried Fatale I get no suede or leather here at all, not sure why. I give Dominik Schneider full permission to come beat my ass for what I'm about to say but between the scent being an incensey iris and the bottle's cap being a bust I'd say this is like an "ultra niche" (and leaps and bounds better) version of Lattafa's His Confession. Performance was solid but I thought this would be stronger. Projection was moderate with a moderate to light sillage, definitely thought this would be rather strong and dense but I also don't think the sample's atomizer is that good (although it's miles better than the generic black one other brands use). Longevity is an easy 8 hours but I'll admit I expected the scent to be much more noticeable on my skin at this point.

It's nice. A few more wears and I'll know how I feel. Edit: bit churchy, pretty lovely, but nothing groundbreaking. I will probably make another edit.

Its okay, overglazed by a Polish fanbase. Nice peppery notes that fade away quickly, then a okay leathery acords mixed with vanilla and resin

Unfortunately, despite the quality of the ingredients, satisfactory projection, and longevity, this scent will remain a curiosity on my skin. I only smell leather, leather, and leather. I was hoping for more of that pepper and patchouli with a subtle hint of smoke. Not my cup of tea at all.

I am listening to the audiobook of Elizabeth Hand's Available Dark right now, with Fatale by Profundum on my wrist, and I am not sure I could have planned this pairing better if I'd tried. Fatale is Cass Neary is melancholy punk-rock valkyrie, and her stories are brutal and burnished, dark, lush, and strange, mythic and gritty and damaged, the corrosive effect of sunlight on chemicals, the strange softness of scars. Smoldering dark pepper, ember-warm, ashypulse. Ancient resins, sticky dark, incense of churches burned to the ground under a black sun. Suede under leather over weathered skin, barely human, nearly ghost.
