Ivy Tower

I just received my sample pack in the mail of the perfume oils and this one was my favorite. It is like walking in an ivy covered garden path that is filled w/ daffodils. It is a classic green floral of yesteryear. So many fragrances today are unisex and it gets harder and harder to find true floral and feminine fragrances. This one is very pretty, perfect for spring. I can see myself wearing this a lot in April and May.

i love a lot of these notes, particularly narcissus and mimosa. it opens with a very green floral with a hint of smokiness. i think it's mostly narcissus with some lily and a hint of jasmine. the narcissus calms a bit and the jasmine becomes more prominent. this is a soft, green spring floral-really gorgeous!

Ivy Tower opened very green on my skin, so green it was almost an aroma of fresh dill at first. An interesting effect, but about fifteen minutes later, the perfume morphed and became a gentle sweet floral. Ivy Tower is smells clean and thoroughly pleasant, bordering at times on soapy—no skanky indoles to the jasmine here. All these flowers are plump, healthy, freshly-opened and sparkling with morning dew, just waiting to be picked or pollinated. Longevity is good at 4-6 hours. Considering the powerhouse floral aromas included in the scent, Ivy Tower's overall effect (once the initial green stage passes) is surprisingly subtle (though the sillage is moderate and may even be overpowering in the first 15 minutes or so). Very green on opening then develops into clean, floral, delicate, pretty scent grounded in the zen and peace of sandalwood. A scent that reminds you of spring and it's possibilities no matter what season you're in.

This opens with a very bitter green, herbaceous, somewhat offensive cut grass smell. Not like a light fresh cut grass. More like being immersed in chopped parsley? I dislike the opening. It sweetens on the dry down to an aromatic sweet herbal airy floral that I actually really like. Confusing.
