Love-In-A-Mist

I really liked this perfume. It has an almost lilac quality to it. It does smell like a meadowed field full of clover, wildflowers w/ lilacs drifting in and out. I still have some left in my sample and am considering a bottle. Many of the samples from this house that I tried leaned masculine, so I sent out for some of the more floral scents. I like this house, I think there is some really beautiful work going on here. I am excited to try some more of their fragrances. And who knows I might add some full bottles from this house to my collection soon. As I've learned more about perfumes as I continue collecting Love in a Mist is a heavy mimosa perfume. I think mimosa gives that "field of wildflowers w/ heavy pollen" effect in perfumes and I find it is a note I enjoy quite a bit since I keep buying perfumes w/ heavy doses of mimosa. The clover here is also very strong which I love. Why don't more perfumers use the note of clover? It gives the perfume a feeling of being outdoors which I absolutely love. The first perfumes I sampled from this house did lean masculine. I was picking the wrong things to sample. As I kept sampling, I found many from Providence that I fell in love w/ and bought full size bottles. If you love natural perfumery like I do check out Providence Perfume Company. This one is aamaazing! Super beautiful floral scent. Smells very natural, wildflowers are very noticeble. Definitely a must-have if you like the notes. I am a fragrance reviewer so I test a lot of different perfumes and normally it is hard to impress me but this is the love from the first sniff

The best way I can describe Love-In-A-Mist from Providence Perfume Co. is the smell of a countryside field in the middle of Summer when the temperature is high and the sun causes all the Earthbound aromas to lift and permeate the air. I would call this perfume a Floral-Agrestic composition, a rather unique approach to both these genres. I never smelled Love in a Mist flower so I can't pinpoint it in the composition, but I do get the clover and the mimosa. There is more to that, however. It reminds me of the countryside field flowers aroma, that I can say for sure. The opening is a bit spicy and warm, and I also get a hay and grass-like facet out of it. Especially that sun-heated hay smell that is so nostalgic to me. Slightly woody in the base. There is a nice interplay between the sweet and dewey aspects of the florals and the grassy-bitter ones. It doesn't develop much. And I'm glad, in this particular case. Sometimes you want to capture an image and hold tight to it, and that's exactly what this one does. The clarity and the vividness of the landscape this perfume evokes are incredibly powerful. A transportive and unique perfume. One that is sure to please fans of natural perfume compositions, florals, and agrestic alike. IG:@memory.of.scents

I hunt for natural perfumes with no toxic chemicals. This one doesnt give me a headache or soar throat. However, the smell is a bit weird. My husband said it smells like a bug spray, and another day when I decided to give it a try again (sometimes with a different mood you can perceive smells differently) but no, he said it reminds a smell of a moth ball. I personally dont hate this perfume, but would say this aroma would make more sense on an older lady. So I'm done with this "Love in a mist" thing.

I actually don’t love florals because they smell so perfume-y, and not like an actual snapshot of nature. If I close my eyes and smell this on me, I can easily imagine I am standing in a field of wildflowers on a summer day.( and when I wear it outside, big fat honeybees follow me around so it MUST smell like the read deal).
