Orange Blossom Honey

I love this one and anticipate buying a full bottle soon. Orange blossom/neroli is so beautiful to me and I count among my favorites Lush Orange Blossom, Elie Saab, Fragonard Fleur d'Oranger, DSH Fleurs d'Oranger and Au Pays de la Fleur d'Oranger, amongst others. I have a new favorite in this category, and it is Providence Perfume Co.'s Orange Blossom Honey. So many orange blossom scents take a turn towards the pure citrus, or towards clean white musk, as they dry down. What I love about Orange Blossom Honey is that it stays strongly floral throughout its drydown. Some orange blossom fragrances have a twiggy/green note to them, which isn't a bad thing, but that aspect is softened and sweetened here by the honey, peru balsam, vanilla and tonka. I smell the effect of these ingredients as a slightly sweet tone in the floral notes, rather than as individual notes. Orange Blossom Honey goes on very intense but softens after about an hour. Longevity is good, 4-6 hours and like Violet Beauregarde, this one has major sillage and should be applied with care. I just received another bottle of Rose Boheme in the mail, and I requested another sample of Orange Blossom Honey to revisit it. The last sample I had the oil came off very soapy, but this sample is much more in line w/ what I wanted in a honey fragrance. This batch of oil is a very animalic orange blossom and a very animalic thick, dense honey smell. You can smell the pollen of the flowers and as you smell the oil you feel like you are biting into a thick slab of beeswax filled to the brim w/ a very dark honey. I think I need this fragrance oil. I own Rose 802, Summer Yuzu and Ivy Tower and use them for hair oil this one will be a nice addition. If you like animalic orange blossom and a rich dark beeswax and honey fragrance check out the new batch of Orange Blossom Honey. A nice spiciness from the ginger in the dry down. Edit: This will be fun to wear during the Holiday season. Smells like gingerbread in the dry down.

this smells like gummi cola bottle candy + orange blossom. i think the peru balsam and ginger are making that happen. there is a bit of cola-like effervescence. after awhile it softens a bit but still has a lot of cola scent here. interesting. this is like a softer orange blossom, nothing indolic or sharp at all. after awhile i get some tonka and something now smells a bit tarry here. i am puzzled by this one. not totally bad but not great either.

I like that it’s natural non toxic perfume, but I guess it’s not the type of scent I prefer. I liked other perfumes from providence.

I was curious about this especially after reading the others reviews. I get a bright juicy orange that quickly transforms into a sumptuous sweet orange blossom and honey...it turns slightly soapy if you really try to pick it apart, but the bright sweet blossom and all its natural attributes remain the focus of this scent. I noticed when it is humid out I get more of a musk-like effect in the dry down. It gives almost an animalic character in combination with the white floral...interesting (smelling now). I am not sure I am a fan of the musk-part but the scent as a whole is still quite a delicious orange blossom scent. It generally stays as a sweet orange blossom and honey on my skin. Would recommend for those who are also fans of orange blossom. :)

I adore this one too, Jodi ! On me, it is so very dark and dirty -strange, no? Mystical, mythically deep and bittersweet. I think that I must turn everything dirty ;-) Not that I'm complaining, mind <3
