Ayothaya

This fragrance is like an ancient mystery,a relic, an extremely complex and captivating scent, a little "gloomy" too. Evocative,powerful,ancient... penetrating !. I like its structure and its evolution, it's something never heard before, a beautiful fragrance! Sillage: 8./10 Longevity: 9./10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

Wow, this really reminds me of Ayutthaya. This is a dry woody ambery fragrance. Very unique and complex. This to me smells like Thailand. It has teak wood in it which immediately reminds me of Traditional Thai house built by teak wood. This fragrance is amazing.

Ayothaya is a deceptively beautiful Oriental spicy woody composition from the extremely talented new perfumer Prin Lomros. The key note here is a nice incense which is enhanced by addition of patchouli, jasmine sambac, opoponax, gunpowder, oolong tea, angelica, teak, vetiver, ebony, myrrh, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, papyrus, lichen and ylang-ylang. The perfume evokes imageries of the beautiful landscapes of Cambodia especially the region surrounding the Angkor Wat temples. This is a delicate and unusual composition with moderate sillage and projection. This is my only complaint with this otherwise very nice perfume is that is is extremely delicate to the point some would consider its projection fleeting. But what a lovely composition it is. Very evocative. Smoky, spicy, floral Oriental wood. Lovely!

The opening blast is all fire and fury. Gunpowder, white pepper, cinnamon, patchouli are the most prominent notes to my nose - it’s extremely hot and dry. The incense comes through later, bringing along the floral notes, but for me it feels a little too late. I am already burned in the fire.... So, is this a work of art? Yes. Is it enjoyable? For a few moments yes. Is it wearable? No. Not for me. The gunpowder is so harsh and persistent it is unbearable to my own nose and I don’t want to make others around me suffer.

Oriental breeze. This one gives the vibes of the orient heritage scene from mountain top! it has that spiritual effect accompanied with a cooling note that relaxes a bit and give serenity! It's the myrrh, ylang, patchouli, and opoponax mix that has that spiritual effect. The olibanum, & gunpowder are there but kept minimal, besides the vetiver & the jasmines & i can't detect any cinnamon. I see this as a patchouli based blend. Interesting.
