Haunted Baby

If you’ve spent time in greenhouses, particularly those using compost as medium. This will make you feel right at home. Bright florals and greens at the top, with an earthy base. The earthiness has a bit of a moist decay to it. Decay, not rot, it is not the sickly smell of rot. Rather, it is an organic, earthy, a touch sweet, smell of decaying fruits and flowers. This is a very humid smell and very enveloping. I’ve found that wearing it longer the more the decay, dirt, and moisture overtakes the brighter top notes. Personally I enjoy it, my wife is less of a fan so I don’t think I would get much wear out of it. Experientially, it is a wonderful, creative, and unique perfume. I’m sure others may find it to be more wearable. Dali’s bubbly personality comes through in these playful and inspired perfumes, I look forward to smelling more!

God how this reminds me of going to the Haunted corn mazes with my friends when we were teenagers. I first sprayed this on paper and immediately got transported with the smell of a corn field (the husks), dirt, and wetness in the air like it rained all day. I left this on my kitchen counter accidentally for about 10 min and it made my whole kitchen and living room smell like a wet fall day. On my skin it starts the same way, but dries down to a more dead floral/ dusty scent, reminding me of an abandoned grandmother's house. Sadly I think I'd really only be able to wear this in the fall so I'll have to wait a little while, but it's definitly something that will be on my tray for the season.

So i LOVE a wet dirt smell, its probably one of my favorite scents on earth. When i put this on i was like oh my god yessss wet dirt and immediately crowned it my fav before i even got all the nuances of it. As time went on, i started getting more of the dead flowers, the overripe fruit, the floorboards. This is one of the most beautiful composed scents ive ever smelled. If you didnt read ANY of the description or vibes, this can be just a beautiful earthy rainy scent, but the addition of the name and the description just makes it an entire melancholic experience. 1000000/10 need a full bottle now.

This feels as if it was a personal homage to my childhood, long days and afternoons spent outside playing in the yard...the redolence of a warm Summer day envelope my skin as if I've been dressed in a million different muddy puddles, grassy hills, and green gardens. Puppet Parfum plays with my most cherished sense as if it's trying to tug at my heart strings and remind me of sweeter days. It accomplished just that, and for that Haunted Baby is a masterpiece within its own right.

As someone who likes to camp, hike, and garden, this one is special to me. When I spray this one, I get a really visceral reminder of standing in the middle of the redwood forest. It reminds me of wet dirt and sweet compost. There is also a floral scent at the end that brightens it. I like this one a lot!
