American Gold

American gold is a composition in which oud plays the nice guy with tobacco and the rest of the notes, making this more at home with a suit or something dress-casual than a dishdasha. This is a good effort to bridge the gap between the West and the Middle East in perfumer. On my skin and fabric, this has sillage suitable for a gentleman and the longevity is moderately long-lasting. While this isn't necessarily ground-breaking, it's one of the better offerings with oud from a European perfume house - and much more affordable than some of the major fails out there....

American Gold fits for royalty, exuding majesty and mysticism from the first fresh top notes that quickly develops into a sophisticated lavender vibe, settling into an amphora tobacco aura and coming down to a complex oud and ambergris scent that stays for a long time. This sensuous scent spells sex, class, sophistication. Has the awesome power to attract and hook the opposite sex. Scent your room and your bed with it for a perfumed garden.

At the first, you can detect carrot seeds in top note if you be careful. This note isn't similar to carrot juice that you may consider. It is controlled beautifully. This scent stay for 2-3 minute. After that an earthy and rooty scent was detected that it is the presence of Patchouli. After 10 minute, Lavender is added and carrot seed disappeared. Lavender note is so superb and you enjoy it. I think that most of the people don't' know Artemis scent clearly and they think that the scent that appear after 10 minute is Artemis, but I believe that it is " Lavender".Perhaps it is a special kind of lavender and isn't usual. After 1 hour, Middle note is appear with a very soft floral scent. It is very soft and I can't attribute this scent to any flower. Just can say that it is a floral note. Cinnamon is added to floral note and the scent become a little (Emphases that a little, not to much) sweet due to cinnamon. In base note tonka is the important substance that is in it, plus ARTEMIS. Yes!! I only can detect Artemis in base note (not top note). شروع عطر با بوی آب میوه مانند گیاه هویج آغاز میشه. بوی مربوطه خیلی کنترل شده هست و بوی خالص آب هویج نداره که توی ذوق بزنه؛ ولی با دقت به نت آغازین کاملا متوجه حضور این نت بویایی خواهید شد. این نت بویایی خیلی عمر کوتاهی داره. شاید 3-2 دقیقه. بعدش بوی پاچولی به طور وضوح قابل استشمام هست. بویی خاک مانند و کمی نم دار. بعد از ده دقیقه لاواندر کم کم جایش رو به نت هویج مانند میده و خیلی زیبا خود نمایی میکنه. این حالت تا حدود یک ساعت بعد از شروع اسپری کردن عطر پابرجا میمونه و بعد نت گلی بصورت خیلی زیبایی جلوه گری میکنه. بوی گلی مربوطه اصلا به گل محمدی که ما ایرانی ها به اون حساس هستیم؛ نیست؛ فقط میشه گفت که یک بوی گلی بسیار نرم و زیبا بعد از یک ساعت نمایان میشه که بتدریج دارچین محیط رو به مقدار خیلی جزیی شیرین میکنه. تاکید میکنم که خیلی جزیی. در واقع بوی دارچین در این مرحله به نت گلی اضافه میشه و هیچوقت در طول عمر عطر به تنهایی خود نمایی نمیکنه. دوست عزیز و محترمی شیرینی این عطر رو به شیرینی مارلی مانند تشبیه کردند. البته من تمام عطرهای مارلی رو کامل میشناسم. کارهای این برند نیش خیلی طرفدار داره و هیچ کدوم از عطرهای این برند شیرینی خیلی زیادی ندارند. تنها عطر اوجان هست که شیرین هست. اون هم به خاطر این هست که کلا ساختار این عطر رو بر اساس گورماند گذاشتند و یه حالت پای سیب مانند در فرد القا میکنه که بعضی افراد مطابق میلشون نیست. ولی سایر عطرهای این شرکت شیرینی زننده ای ندارند در قسمت نتهای انتهایی عطر (برخلاف نظر اکثر افراد در این صفحه که نت آرتمیس( و یا همون درمنه) رو نت غالب عطر در کل دوران زندگی عطر میدونند) گیاه درمنه شروع به خود نمایی میکنه که بسیار بسیار دلپذیره. البته در این مرحله نت تونکا هم کاملا قابل رد یابی هست و آکوردی که درمنه و تونکا درست میکنن بسیار در قوت بخشیدن به بوی نهایی که بوی همون گیاهی درمنه هست کمک شایانی کرده من حدس میزنم که کسانی که نت اصلی این عطر رو درمنه دونستند یا بعد از حدود یک ساعت عطر رو بو کردند و یا اینکه با بوی دقیق درمنه آشنا نبودند و بوی لاواندر رو به درمنه نسبت دادند. درسته که در هرم بویایی عطر هم نت درمنه از اول دیده میشه؛ ولی من پا فشاری میکنم که این نت در مرحله ی نتهای پایانی هست که به طرز عشوه گرانه ای خودش رو نمایان میکنه

Soothing, contemplative amber, golden indeed. Opening note of herbal liquer is the thinnest note of the composition - stands out only at the beginning and with time it melts into the golden patchouli, softly interwining with rest of the notes till the drydown. American gold is a spectatular blend, rich, deep but not heavy, very enjoyable. I detected no sweetness at all, still it's one of the rare ambers I can wear without fatigue. Furthermore, I was surprised the extent to which vintage Youth Dew I used to have is similar to Ambra Aurea; starting from dark brown almost scary-looking liquid that may have lost its sharpness/top notes due to age, but nevertheless it was a rich, golden amber drowned in incense, spice and lots of powder... Ambra Aurea or vintage Youth Dew - both fantastic fragrances, each in their own price category.
