Puredistance No. 12

Puredistance No.12, the new perfume from Puredistance Master Perfumes, has just been released worldwide on September 12, 2021. In fact, I was aware of this project since 2019, when the company’s founder told me about his idea of putting together one display for the Magnificent XII Collection after a visit to Minsk (Belarus capital). The Magnificent XII Collection will be Puredistance's premier perfume collection and will always maintain a selection of 12 perfumes. Every one or two years, a new perfume will replace another, which will be part of the Private Collection, available only by request. These perfumes will no longer be actively promoted, a solution fully aligned with the concept of luxury, in which “less is more”. Puredistance No.12’s fragrance was created by perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer and the project started in July 2018. Initially, the name of the sample presented by Nathalie was called Gold Taffeta and the intention was to launch it in 2020. But, as we all know, the pandemic has delayed any individual's plans. Keeping the standard quality of the House, always in a concentration of Pure Parfum Extrait, this time we have 25% extract combining notes of bergamot, mandarin, cardamom, coriander, ylang-ylang, and absolute of narcissus, at the start. Then, in the center of the composition, absolutes of jasmine and osmanthus merge with rose, geranium, muguet, orange blossom, orris butter, hedione HC (with a scent reminiscent of magnolias), and heliotrope. Finally, notes of vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, oakmoss, tonka beans, ambrette, ambroxan, vanilla, and musk form the base of this luxurious chypre-floral. On the skin, the fragrance of Puredistance No12 opens with a lot of floral content. A richness of ylang-ylang, full of sweet and exotic facets, which merges with the narcotic absolute of narcissus and the juiciness of the mandarin orange. Immediately, it brings an aphrodisiac content. In a few minutes, a fruitier smell insists on appearing, revealing nuances that resemble banana peels. However, these nuances are drowned out by a powdery aspect, which results from the union between the butter from the iris root and the notes of rose and jasmine. At this point, Puredistance No12 seems to have been made just to win over the female audience. The evolution continues to tell a story of seduction and the white floral begins to show its blue beauty. The density of the creamy woods, the chocolate heat of the patchouli, the traditional fougère aspect of the moss, all this presents itself with a slight sweetness. Now, tonka and vanilla dance on the skin, in contrast to the citrus fruits of yore. Ambroxan and ambrette extend the depth and a slightly salty sensation emerges, revealing the sweaty taste of two ecstatic bodies. At this point, Puredistance No12 reaches its peak and is already proving to be more unisex. But it takes sensitivity to understand its evolution, its complexity, and its chypre and classical beauty, characteristics that fit perfectly with the brand's concept and that reinforce its position of timeless luxury and sophistication, regardless of the commercial trends of the moment. Puredistance No12 is the missing sapphire in the Magnificent XII jewelry collection. A special perfume for special moments.

It really is like a dream come true. Floral, sweet, powdery cloud. No 12 starts off with extremely sweet florals, definitely heliotrope, and over that some more sour nuances of citrus and geranium. I get a fresh sandalwood that is also more sour than smoky. When the fragrance dries down I get a lot of lily of the valley, the real kind like Diorissimo of the past. It's simply beautiful. Unfortunately there are some draw downs too. I don't think the extrait format gives anything to the fragrance, I would much rather have an EdP that I could spray away. The projection of the extrait is not enough and sadly the longevity is not great either. I burned through the travel spary size in a bit over a month. Other fragrances this reminds me of are Guerlain Cruel Gardenia and in some strange way Prada Prada.

This is a very complex fragrance, powdery and musky with floral and citrusy facets. Longevity is excellent and projection is decent. To me, it’s very unique and special. Really love it! Truly a gem

I actually like this "old lady soap" greatly, and it's no more "chemically" than 80% of the fragrances out there (especially that dreadful Baccarat Rouge), but not for the price though...There are better renditions of such scent at a cheaper price.

Powdery sandalwood, floral musk. Subtle to a fault. Disappears in extreme weather. Pleasant scent. Unisex with a feminine lean.

Y'all, everybody who's saying it disappears quickly, doesn't last and so on... beware you're getting "nose blind" to it. This stuff has a nuclear longevity. I simply do not believe you! It's just you who can't smell it after a while. The scent is pleasant, but very singular, I got bored of it after a few hours. Vastly overpriced!

I sooo wish I could love this one! I thought it was gonna be a nice, sweet-ish, luxurious powdery scent, but on me it's just a bitter kind of soap. Like... "old lady soap" smell. (Please don't be offended by my opinion, it can be beautiful on you, these are just my thoughts.) Yes, it is complex and extremely elegant, but not for me (or not ON me). Also, it's not changing much on my skin, and reminds me of something I already tried and passed. Jeeez, I can literally feel the bitterness on my tongue by sniffing my wrists. Like taking a bite into a powdery scented soap bar (no I never did that). Bleh. I'm so sad, I had high hopes for this one, of course blind bought it, but it's just not working on me...

Opens with a big cirrus burst. As it dries down I pick up a variety of floral notes trailed by sandalwood. The powderiness from the violet accords is big time in this. Very feminine and not to my tastes

Mac-7, you have something with your sense of smell, if that's how you perceive perfume to criticize it so much. Apparently, your nose does not feel a lot of nuances: you hear a couple of notes led by a dominant kashmeran - and that's it. Sadness. This is a beautiful chypre with a smooth transition into a powdery soft fragrance. There is no desire to disassemble the harmony of this fragrance into individual notes, it is easy to perceive it as a whole - this is a sign of quality and professional assembly. Absolutely modern fragrance, although made in the spirit of the old school. Fits perfectly into the concept of the perfume brand. It's more of a feminine fragrance.There is only one drawback - I would like a little more plume and a little more durability. Otherwise, it is a royal fragrance.

Not a good one, bleh. If this is all Feisthauer ever wanted to create, she should go and work at a factory where no imagination is required. I know she can do infinitely better, because her Putains is excellent and 100 times better than this expensive poop. First of all - its rather chemically smelling, so all of you to whom natural smell is a must - move on. 2- it doesnt smell blue whatsoever. Three - it is a powdery, slightly sweet, cachemeran like smell with acidic citrus breaking that musky compound. Big projection due to chemicals. Very disappointed.

And for the Puredistance grand finale, that personally understood it would be a conglomerate for the conglomerate, as in a gather of all previous Puredistance scents? Very complex, there's a petals non sweet dark marmelade in the immediate opening. Infrequent scent approach, darker floral with freshness to it, bit more somber than Rubikona no, 11, much mature and bit more on the acquired taste side.

Ahh, a lot is going on here and whatever it is, it is topped up by ambroxan... Not attractive and I really dont understand what this fragrance is trying to be. A big pass.

Even if you like powdery smell as a guy this isn't very pleasing the smell is extremely sharp and I don't recommend it
