This Pure Parfum Extrait, sold in 27% of Perfume Oil concentration, was launched in 2016, inspired by the (almost endless) vision of the golden sands of the desert during sunset. The dunes and their curves, symbolizing the feminine side of the fragrance, the warm side of the colors that go between red and gold, the Persian rugs, symbolizing the masculine side and the encounter between sensuality and style. Its name is a junction of the words "She", "Sheika" and "Dune". In addition, it has the same cadence of the word "seduction". Sheiduna has notes of lemon, tangerine, blackcurrant, aldehydes, Bulgarian rose essence, geranium, clove, vetiver, patchouli, amber woods, incense, benzoin, myrrh, tonka bean, vanilla pods and musks. When touches the skin, Sheiduna behaves like several other niche perfumes inspired in the Middle East. For many, there is no innovation. But it is the first Puredistance’s fragrance created in this style - with an eye in the competition - after the house has launched floral and chypre opulent perfumes. On my skin, the output is not too dry, because the tangerine note imparts lightness and a slightly fruity and juicy facet. The blend of the rich Bulgarian rose essence with the notes of clove and patchouli gives an oriental and different content to the other niche perfumes, which usually mix roses with saffron, for example. It is the feminine touch of the perfumer Cécile Zarokian, without doubt. In the end, although it contains vanilla pods, the base is incensed, with a lot of myrrh. And the fragrance, although replete with quality raw materials, loses power (projection) very quickly, unfortunately. But with regard to durability, a simple spray is enough to ensure 12 hours of lasting on the skin. Sheiduna was created for women, for sure. But it resulted in a unisex perfume, like few of the house. Fortunately, niche perfumery goes against market factors and separation by gender, facilitating acceptance by men and women without distinction. The bottle follows the visual pattern (mega luxurious) of Puredistance and gained red paint, reinforcing the concept of desert and sensuality. Along with Puredistance M, they are my favorites so far.

I just cannot express my love for this perfume enough. This is just... PERFECTION! It just does something to my body, I get goosebumps smelling it, I get this overwhelming feeling of satisfaction it just fills all the empty places in my body and makes me feel so so so amazing. This is warm, very very rich, and opulent scent, amazingly sexy.... a grown-up sexy scent that creates a true niche aura, very very luxurious scent, you can sense the quality immediately after spraying. Perfection for evening time and autumn/winter season. To me, this smells like the most beautiful dark blue night, a bit exotic and oriental. It's such a deep perfume I just cannot.... Such an alluring perfume. It stays on your skin for ages!!!!! Super long lasting beast, just a tiny spray of this perfume on my hair filled the whole room. IT IS POTENT! So don't mind the price, get 17.5ml ( the smallest size) and I promise it will last you for quite some time as you need just 2-3 sprays max! The projection and longevity is SUPERB! Cécile Zarokian is one of the perfumer's whose work I follow and admire pretty much everything she created. To me this is one of her best best best creations, it's such a beautiful work I don't have enough words to thank the perfumer for this adventure that this perfume takes me on. The scent itself is deep deep dark sweet amber with warm spices that changes and evolves throughout the day. This perfume is a journey, an experience you just have to try at least once in your life. I think people really make a mistake trying it on a blotter or sniffing it from a bottle... Listen people this changes a lot! If you have an opportunity to try this in a perfume boutique, spray it on your skin, somewhere on your clothing and I guarantee you will be absolutely blown away after a while. LOVE FOREVER THIS BEAUTY! 10/10!!!!!!!!!!!!

#1598 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this decant from scentsplit.com because the note combination looked interesting and attractive, and in fact it is. But at $245 and up for 60ml, this stuff is not cheap, so you'd definitely try before you buy. It would be nice if you could get a $15 scent like Lattafa "Khaltaat Al Arabia" that smells just like this. But I had Khaltaat. A nice scent. A girlfriend ended up with it. It really doesn't smell like this. This is all-day-long-lasting and has surprising room-filling sillage without getting cloying. Opens as a rosy-fruity-vanilla incense. If you took out the myrrh and incense this would fit in with sainted Versace EDTs like "Green Jeans", "Black Jeans", "White Jeans", which to me, regardless of their marketing focus, were all very unisex, though "White Jeans" leaned more feminine, as does this scent. More rose than I prefer, but not at a "grandma juice" level. In fact, this scent has amazing and uncommon balance between the notes. If you're a woman for whom money is no object, I'd say, "Hell yes, you should get this." And I think most guys can wear this. If a girlfriend gave me this, I'd wear it for her. Otherwise, it's something I'd get for a more than casual girlfriend, not for myself. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

The first Puredistance fragrance I ever got a hold of, Sheiduna blew me off my feet on the first try. The sniff of the bottle is not really promising, but the skin provides the perfect canvas to this work of art. Two sprays are more than enough for the scent to be noticed in a room two doors apart (talking from experience) and for up to two days. It immediately reminded me of east and their exotic spices, while the orange (tangerine) brings so much needed freshness into the composition. As the time goes by, the scent becomes more and more powdery. Throughout her performance, Sheiduna is a spicy wooden seductress that gives out some sweetness as a bait to her opulent resins. So far, she managed to capture the attention of my nose. I can agree that this reminds of Amouage Epic Woman, but the two perfumes are not similar in essence. Fetes Persanes is a bit similar about the spices and Khol the Bahrein gives out the similar powdery vibe, but all of these are different enough for me to own each of them, at this moment.

First of all i have to say that i LOVE this kind of scents and sheiduna is one of the BEST ones that i have tried. Very ambery, dense and balsamic. A real oriental pleasures. The opening is a bit fresher with some aldehides and the tangerine but It turns fast un a very rich and sweet amber & incense mix. In one hand is lovely but i have the problem that i have a perfume which smells almost the same: khol de Bahrein by stephane Humbert Lucas. The SHL is a bit sweeter and a bit more powdery because It has a lot of iris but in general is very very similar. And It is although very close to Velvet amber skin by dolce gabanna. So even when i really LOVE this perfume It has not a place on my collection. However id you dont have any of those perfumes this can be a great option for you. The longevity is very good and It has a soft sillage. I think It can be very versatile for those Who like this kind of scents. The problem with working through a discovery set from a house such as Puredistance, is that you end up with a very expensive wishlist, because they’re all absolutely sensational perfumes. Sheiduna is no different, it is utterly stunning, yet far more softly spoken and reserved than most of their other offerings. This scent opens with dried, candied Orange peel, alongside soft hints of vanilla and warm spice. Soon after, a delicate and pulpy red rose emerges alongside dry resins and incense. The projection is very soft throughout yet lasts an impressively long time, and it’s so amazingly smooth it’s actually very difficult to pick out many specifics from the breakdown. This is yet another from Puredistance that I want a full bottle of. It’s beautifully sensual and inviting, incredibly romantic and really pulls you in each time you smell it. I hate that I love this house so much because it’s going to cost me so much money!

It is again an incredibly wonderful scent from Puredistance! Just simply wow! Now, I truly can't chose only one favorite perfume from this brand, because they only make "wow" fragrances. All of them are perfect and beautiful on their own different way. Sheiduna is so unique, so special in a beautiful way. A perfume inspired of the desert, and it shows the most beautiful side of the desert. Exotic, oriental, romantic, mysterious. When I sniff it, I almost can see in front of me the desert, and every nice thing what belongs to it. This fragrance is so warm, sweet in the most pleasant way. This scent is calming and call you an adventure at the same time.

As I've read in offering of PD:"A rich and intense parfum inspired by the sensatios evoked by majestic golden sandunes in the desert during sunset-soft curves changing from deep gold to warm red." Althouhg I only tested it briefly, it smelled beautiful; unisexy, sensual and rounded. I imagine Sheherazade wearing Sheiduna as she enthralled the Persian king for 1001 nights. Mary Gooding, who hosted the party did not disclose much information on Top, Mid and Base Notes, but there is labdanum, clove and a tiny bit of cumin. Sheiduna has excellent longevity and lovely sillage."

Luxury in their natures form. Seems highly authentic, i have not smelled anything like this, i still heave not tried Simbad Lubin or DG Velvet Amber Skin, but comparation with Tango Masque Milano has absolutely no sense to me, Sheiduna s way more better and overall complettly different. Smokey tangerine (with the some warm spices from background) is the mostly i pick up. It is blended to perfection and it could be good pick for the most demanding persons. Dark, smooth and misterious with an extraordinary perfomances.

My god is this beautiful. At first it feels a bit like an expensive, but somewhat generic men's cologne and then it does a total 180 an ends up in this beautiful (almost sandlwoody?) creamy woods area with cedar and roasted orange peel. Just simply gorgeous. Comforting. The price is a bit much, but I could see myself buying it if I had those resources.

A true hidden gem Experiencing this fragrance would benefit anyones fragrance journey It’s simply so sensational to smell this fragrance and it absolutely thrives in the cold. As a man, this is a show-stopper, very sexy, perfectly unisex; perhaps an acquired taste to some not used to the genre “oriental”. Nasal narcotics

I enjoyed this one. It was particularly unique and I have certainly not smelt it anywhere before. Very intense, rich and has its depths. However, I felt the ingredients were too mashed up. Wish I could breakdown the notes to appreciate this better. 7/10

Very rich and unique smell. You cannot easily figure out the notes. Gives you a lot of smells and senses when wearing it. Last very long time on clothes and skin as well. Thr bottom line is this is a best deepest fragrance I have ever smelled.

My favorite rose scent. Sexy, alluring and mysterious. The opening tangerine and spice note melds into a beautiful, sweet rose. So well balanced. It surprises me how underground Pure Distance is as a house.

Its not something new or original but i like it, Smells Like Mon Nom Est Rouge By Majda Bekkali Without The Cumin and less dry, also the same perfumer did both of those perfumes 9/10

"Around the word at one sniff" Sheiduna offers us a ticket to great, olfactory journey. We’ll be visiting different lands and nothing will hide from our nose. We’re starting in the Middle East, where we’re travelling across lemon groves surrounded by the freshness of yellow fruits. After a moment we’re at European, wild, green fields full of chamomile and blackcurrant. Crossing over the Strait of Gibraltar, we’re visiting sunny Marocco, where Sheiduna gives us the most authentic scent of mandarin I’ve ever smelt in perfumes. After that, we’re going south where’s a fresh and bracing geranium. And then, we’re smelling a whiff of oriental and gentle sweetness. Could it be famous Madagascar's vanilla? No, it’s a creamy smell of tonka bean from across the Atlantic. But we’ve no time to stay there because the Orient is waiting for us. Oriental base with warm spices and pleasant incenses. So overwhelming that we finally want to go home. Sheiduna is for me one more proof of unusual skills and a great talent of Cecile Zarokian, who again managed to create a big piece of perfumery art – well composed, elegant, balanced with a charming evolution. The art that we want to use and sometimes just “set our nose” on it enjoying every nuance. Thank you, Cecile! Thank you for taking us on this wonderful journey!

Pleasant but fairly standard chypre style composition centered around a balsamic rose. The perfume opens with aldehydes, mandarin, lemon and cloves. It transitions to the central rose surrounded by black currant, synthetic amber, patchouli and vanilla. It settles on a powdery bed of vetiver, myrrh, tonka bean, synthetic musk. A bit pricey for what is being offered here, and not striking enough to stand out from most rose chypres. The slight feminine leaning perfume has moderate sillage and projection and very good longevity. Enjoy!

This is pure chaos and I'm kind of into it. It's smoky, sweet, fruity, and a wee bit musky. Give it a minute, and the vanilla will come to the fore as well. That said, there's something just slightly off for me — maybe the fruitiness could be dialed down a bit so that it would blend better with the other elements. I won't be going full bottle, but I will definitely enjoy wearing the rest of the sample.

Really really smells like the pages of an old book. Also weirdly get a whiff of kalamata olives at first, I guess because of the balsamic accord? Stays on skin for a while, kept getting little whiffs of the comforting old book scent throughout the day.

It's very orange-syrupy with spices, myrrh, and other green-florals in the background; feels sticky yet not cloying.. Not bad, but not the masterpiece it advertised to be

My favorite of the Puredistance offerings, the tangerine is very unique in my experiences but not enough to justify a bottle ($). Luckily, samples exist.

From all Pd range ... this is the best quality perfume It's unique and luxurious .. The smell is ambery citrus rose with spice of cloves... Well done Pd

The first impression is “aldehydes and dark labdanum”, but then it quickly becomes a rose. An impossibly tender, melting rose, with some tart red berries, a bit like the rose/berry combo in Smolderose. It opens out into rose-and-plush-amber, still a bit fruity. Kind of a creme-brulee-with-berries effect. Reminiscent of Les Indes Galantes (also by Zarokian) but not quite as sweet. In my book, the ultimate sweetened rose is Tocade, which is gaudy but magical in a Disney-princess way. Sheiduna is the elegant, muted version; it’s good but it doesn’t quite hit the exact spot between rose and vanilla that makes woodland birds perch on your hand.

Soft amber opening. Ripe citrus, rose, clove, and myrrh with touches of berries woven through the mid. Dusty dark chocolate-like drydown. It's a soft skinscent fragrance. Nice fragrance but ultimately not for me. -

Cassiano's review below is going to be much more thorough. I have been looking soooo forward to test driving this scent. My sample, which should have seen me through to 2-3 pretty good wearing by all accounts, was used up as I repeatedly sprayed, smeared, and sniffed in disbelief. I am anosmic to a few scents, most noticeably musks. Every so often a perfume comes along that I simply really cannot smell (like Versace Crystal Noir or anything made by SJP). I was astounded by the fact that this projected so low, was so barely there. I could make it out, but I was burying my nose in my wrist like a pig searching for truffles and fanning my décolletage to get whiffs. I sprayed and sprizted and dabbed. And then I went out into public. Nothing. Nada. I could get occasional puffs of skin scent and it was nice, amber, a bit orange and spicy. I acquired my sample from the most reputable place in North America, but I'm wondering if it was getting old. One particular blogger noted what a powerhouse this was. I was kinda looking forward to that. I do have scent eating skin, and it's very dry, but still....disappointed in Sheiduna which I really should just love, if only I could fully enjoy its rich character.

This will be brief. I'm not sure if my nose is broken but I couldn't smell a single thing other than AmberXtreme. Rubbing alcohol, sugared malt, freshly-sharpened pencils. Could feel my nose hairs singeing with each inhale. Wish I could have left it on long enough to experience the beautiful scent others encountered, but for me this was required a scrub after half an hour. Absolutely nuclear.

Not for me. Although it has great depth and is well blended, it smells like a high quality version of a cheap hand-me-down perfume I had as a kid. Wish I could remember what one it was! This smells very dark. I smell the incense, rose, and amber. Not special though.

Lovely amber, but that tangerine side is very dissonant to my senses. Found it irritating as I tested on my skin and could smell it all day. It doesn't project much and the longevity is somewhat moderate for a fragrance this pricey.

Nauseatingly pungent and resinous citrus and rose over refined amber. Does not work for me.

After a long and warm bath, I sprayed my wrists with Sheiduna. I've patiently waited a few seconds, and then I deeply inhaled its aroma. To me, Sheiduna follows the life cycle of a woman. The powerful blast of ripe, juicy tangerines that I have smelled in the first half an hour made me think of childhood, the stage in wich a girl enjoys the simple things, as she forges her path through life. There is a very crisp, clean smell and I think vetiver might have played an important role in here. Soon after this fruity begining, Sheiduna turns to something more complex. The girl I talked about earlier is a grown up woman now, ans she knows what she wants and how to achieve it. I can clearly smell the rose now, but it is not the flower that we are used to, in soliflore perfumes. I perceive the rose note as very balmy, it has an oily, smooth texture to it. Sheiduna is now rich and opulent, but yet misteryous, as I cannot disect its notes, I can just enjoy them mixing so smoothly togheter. After a few hours, something very interesting happened and I haven't sensed that in any perfume before. Maybe it is just my nose, or because my skin is very dry I get this feeling, but Sheiduna smells powdery and aldehidic in the base. Usually, aldehydes make me aware of their presence right in the debut notes of a perfume. In here, it does not resemble any makeup smell, or baby powder, it is simply a dry, musky-powdery smell. I can now see the resemblance between Sheiduna and a woman who reached the age of wisdom, when she recalls her memories, smiling at them with gracefulness.

I'm with minorlion - this fragrance is a synth-bomb. It's never a good sign when the topnotes for a fragrance are pepper, band-aids, and rubbing alcohol, but I decided to ride this one out to see what happened. Five minutes in, it blossomed into a lovely mix of orange, olibanum, and chamomile. I enjoyed the play of citrus and olibanum with the chamomile rounding out the edges, and I loved the idea of using the orange note to enhance the olibanum's natural citrus scent (this note doesn't usually appear when I burn the resin crystals, but it does when I burn Japanese incense). However, five minutes later, we're back to AmberXtreme and Iso-e. Maybe it's my own fault for believing the hype about this house, but I am making my way through the sample set and need to call Emperor's New Clothes. For all of the talk of "precious ingredients" and high concentrations of fragrance oils, years of development, vintage inspiration, etc., all I've gotten out of the line so far has been a menagerie of aromachemicals (the blast of synthetic laundry musk that sinks White, the oud-rose synth combo in Black that we have all smelled a million times). Can't anybody else out there smell this stuff? If you like the intended style of Puredistance but are less than thrilled with the execution, I recommend trying out Stephane Humbert Lucas' 777 line, particularly his less recent releases. Soleil de Jeddah is similar in feel to Sheiduna, but the difference in quality puts Puredistance to shame.

So this is nice it opens up with a fair bit of orange and rose to me with the dry spices and resins backing them up. There is a touch of green leaf in the mix too. To try and describe this in terms of other more easily available frags imagine something like amber absolute but far toned down on the sticky incense vibe and given a much more effervescent aspect with a fizzy orange and rose taming things. It’s quite a bright frag and it makes me think of something Tauer might do with his Tauer-ade base those familiar with LDDM/ACDD will know. Unisex and definitely a pleasant wear but I wouldn’t personally buy a FB of this myself as it doesn’t really excite me enough, and at the price PD goes for its a little hard to justify. I can see why people would though, quality is there for sure.

Sheiduna was kind of a disappointment for me, to simply describe what I am getting, take the rose from Epic Woman (which was composed by the same perfumer) add a large amount of tangerine with a touch of blackcurrant to the opening, some cloves, incensy myrrh and benzoin-driven syrupy amber, a touch of vetiver in the drydown, then ruin the composition with a large dose of woody ambers (Amber Xtreme perhaps). In addition, I feel that the fragrance is not new, Cecile Zarokian seems to be repeating herself, it has some elements of Epic Woman (The rose accord) which seems to be similar to Mon Nom est Rouge too, some elements of Tango (The syrupyamber). Would have been much nicer if the amount of woody ambers was reduced.

The turning point of the house Puredistance is named Sheiduna, pronounced in a way that recalls *šeituna* - meaning she-devil in Arabic. And yet I read that it is derived from the word seduction, to entice... And it certainly does entice, particularity any woman with a fondness for vanilla in her perfume. One can also clearly make out a citrusy freshness with an aldehydic touch. The combination reminded me of something, and then I remembered - there are similarities with Fatal Charm. The fragrance contains a very high amount of pure perfume oil, 27%. It lasts all day, with medium projection.

I agree with you penta1, I was able to sample this today and it is glorious! Very luxurious and seductive, I do not get the citrus at all, just delicious mystery I want to be enveloped in all day and night, like a protective and warm cloak. The price is quite dear, as are all Roja and Puredistance perfumes but this would be the 1st one I would purchase without doubt. I still might yet, it's high on my wish list. High quality Catholic church incense meets the seductive allures of all things Arabic. It's a magical aroma!

Kako bilo,parfem je vrlo zavodljiv i nosiv skoro svakoj ženi koja voli vanilaste parfeme! Osjeti se i agrumska svježina pomiješana lagano sa aldehidima,nešto je u njemu jako poznato možda me podsječa na Fatal Charm. Ovo je miris sa jakih 27% parfemskog ulja.Traje cijeli dan sa srednjom projekcijom. HR

تست امشب عطر من نیست . چون فضایی تکراری داره برام ولی بسیار با کیفیته . بمبی رزینی .بخوری که با رایحه کنسانتره انگور و کمی رز متعادل شده . فضای معنوی و امبری داره بخاطر ی خروار رزین و وانیل . پچولی توش بشدت مشهوده فضای خاک گرفته و عربی ولی متمولانه ای داره . از نظر من شباهت خیلی زیادی به ترکیب امبر 114 ایستواغ و ایمیتیشن زنونه امواژ داره ولی تو شیدونا آکورد فلورال فروتی عطر رو نرمتر کرده فضای کلی رایحه عطر همینه خیلی دیگه درگیر جزییات نباید بود . .

Oooh, this is nice. Sweet + citrus. It's *kind* of along a similar vein as Kerosene R'oud Elements, except without the powdery aspect due to the sandalwood accord or something, and the citrus aspect is a bit more 'candied' perhaps. If you like R'oud Elements, check this one out. Not the same, don't get me wrong, but worth a shot. It's not a "omg, this is amazing!", but it is nice - and potentially a grower.

Get creamy almost cake gourmand Tangerine citrus opening, few minutes in actifies Incense smoke and warm Amber. Appreciate the allways multilayered in the Puredistances, by Sheiduna though stays in that very pleasant balmy snug space. Got the consistent, got the humble, not my genre but impossible to not like. Smooth and fine to the point of clearly missing the grabber aspect or intention behind it.

Sheiduna is spicy and herbal. It has that huge doses of cloves & cardamom mixed with myrrh. It's like an Arabian dessert in a cooling breeze weather. Patchouli & incense are there. It's a very intriguing blend with that myrrh, spices, and herbs all combined together to form a splendid blend. Very interesting.

Sweet amber, distant rose and aldehydes, unusual, yet it works. There is a zesty tanginess that I feel pulls it off through boring yet-another-amber-scent category. Not groundbreaking nit very nice and comforting scent, probably nest for colder months.

I adore Cecile Zarokain and I really wish that I could pick up the listed notes. But, unfortunately, all I smell is olibanum and orange the whole way thru. Disappointing because this has such potential.

This is very similar to "This is not a blue bottle " from HdP. Less aldehydes but more spiced version to give the more oriental taste.
