1 Million Golden Oud

Blind bought this based mostly on 'the Fragrance Apprentice's ravings. And there really is no way to test this anywhere short of several hours flight. Ordered one online, cost me about 140€ with taxes&duties. But on to the review: Presentation: The bottle is the same tacky, plasticky thing with badish atomizer as the rest of the 1 Million line. Completely unacceptable at this price point. Compare it to similarily priced products from eg. Dior and the difference is HUGE. The Scent: Opens spicy, leathery, some oud and moderate sweetness. The leather accord plus spices really remind me of LNDL Eau de Parfum. This takes a very different route further on, though. I usually really dislike sweet fragrances, but this one is really well balanced with all the different aspects. But the middle and drydown is where the magic really happens! The oud in this one does not take center stage, but rather a supportive role together with the leather. On drydown I can better pick up the 1 million DNA, but as a sidenote. All in all I would say that George is absolutely right, the drydown is absolutely gorgeous! Also all the different notes in this fragrance are in perfect balance, and it really feels like they have given a lot of thought in this one. Great stuff! Performance: Initially you get about 3-5 hours of really good projection, not over-the-top but in my estimation this hits the sweet spot between performance and overbearingness. On a work day I applied three careful sprays and after roughly 8 hours I felt that the scent was slowly getting weaker, then I started my home-workout/stretching routine, and as my body heated up I was treated to a huge scent cloud of gorgeusness at about 12 h from applying. So the performance is, I would say, very sufficient to say the least. Keep in mind that this is in the middle of Finnish winter, so in warmer climes thus is going to be a beast. All in all, a rare blind buy success! If only PR would up their game concerning the flacon... I feel that this one should have been a standalone release with better presentation.

Golden Oud (GO) is a very solid release for the One Million line. GO actually smells like a niche oud fragrance, but with reasonable designer prices. If you are able to purchase a bottle within the UAE market as I was able to or a reputable discounter within your home country. While GO could easily pass for as niche oud-wood fragrance. I mainly get oud-wood, dry spices, and a low dosage of sweetness. I also get a tad bit of fleeting floral notes as well. The only thing really lacking about GO is that doesn’t evolve or develop over the course of its life cycle. Which can make GO a slight bit boring and redundant in an already saturated oud fragrance market. GO smells the same when you first spray it and until it fades off your skin. GO may simply smell a slight bit more pleasant as its “intensity” subsides during its wearing life-cycle. Performance and projection are solid and will likely yield most people 8-12 solid hours. GO definitely isn’t a must have fragrance especially if you already own a few bottles of designer/niche oud-wood fragrances. However, GO may be worth considering if you’re a collector or someone that simply likes to acquire exclusive fragrances for a particular fragrance line. While I am not particular fond of the One Million line. I am happy to have two bottles of GO in my collection – just because. 😊😋😛🤣 GO can easily be worn by both women and men, but may be more appealing to men. I also suspect GO will be more appealing to men 35++ years of age or younger guys with more experienced and developed noses and tastes for non-mainstream fragrances. Overall: 7.5/10

By far the most interesting in the Million line up, and one of my most complimented fragrances. This is a rich, long lasting, and decently projecting fragrance. I have received most of my compliments in Spring or Autumn with this one. The biggest being in Spring, shorts and T-shirt weather, I was walking along with a friend when a random woman walked up to us from behind, and complimented the fragrance. She said she followed the trail of the scent. This is first time I've had someone hunt me down to ask what I was wearing, usually it's just a compliment in the same room or walking past. The saffron, nutmeg, black pepper, along with the sandalwood and Oud give this a very masculine leaning feel towards the "westernised" middle eastern spicy-earthy-dry fragrance. Very wearable, even at work, where it was also popular. You only need 3-4 sprays as it projects well and lasts on the skin all day. This is an artists niche-like attempt from Paco Robanne (now just Robanne), and it steps away from the usual youthful synthetic sweet the rest of the line has, and is one of the better interpretations of Oud in the designer world of fragrance. The price-point feels about right. Affordable, and unique enough that you probably won't smell like everyone else, especially if they are wearing another 1 million fragrance.

Purchased this from a company called Step by Step off of Amazon and it was shipped from Kent ,Washington I live in New Hampshire so it came all the way across the United States took 6 days to get. Paid $126 for a 3.4oz bottle and worth every penny and then some batch code is 31291. This is grown-up sophisticated and sexy as FUCK I ❤️ it. Been wearing this for 3 days now wanted to have a go at it before I gave my review. 1st the longevity is killer 2nd the sillage is awesome 3rd the performance is top notch 4th it is definitely blind buy worthy 5th the smell is very complex and different. Some one said in a review here that this smells like Stronger With You Leather and would be a redundant purchase well they need to see a doctor and get their sniffer checked I have SWYL and they both smell very different to me in my humble opinion. This is not sold in the USA 🇺🇸 but ya you can buy it online from someone in the USA 🇺🇸 who got it overseas this was only marketed for Arabia supposedly a limited 500 bottles if you can believe that. I got my bottle very happy. If you buy it from Amazon watch the price because this was going for $175 and only a few bottles left that's how they hook you but watch the price and the number of bottles it changes day to day that's how I got such a good deal. 10/10 for me 😊.

The best iteration of the Oud Malaki DNA, crossed with the best parts of both 1 million and Gucci Guilty Absolute. A motor oil leather, burned incense, and slightly camphoraceous palo santo esque accord (the gurjum balsam) upon which sits a restrained, dark berry orris, and the Oud Malaki-esque spice accord (I smell cardamom, nutmeg, petit grain and bergamot) though here it is smoother and more refined than in the Chopard offering. Delightful stuff and currently in my top 10. A middleweight fragrance that is versatile enough to be a signature. Wear it anytime, anywhere. Decidedly masculine, not at all dated. Gorgeous and perfectly balanced. Better than almost all designer and niche in this olfactory space. Edit: while not smelling completely similar, this sits in the same olfactory space as Jubilation XXV and is, to my nose, preferable in every way. It's more interesting, more warm and human whereas Jubilation always struck me as a bit of an aloof, intellectual take on incense. I'm sure some - maybe most - may not agree but figured this may be helpful if someone really loves the spicy/berry/incense DNA of Jubilation but is looking for something with a different energy.

Ok, wow, Golden Oud is an awesome fragrance! From the several reviews on Golden Oud I was expecting to smell Halfeti when I first sprayed this, but to my surprise when I took my first whiff my initial reaction instantly went to something else, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is. I'll come back and update this once it comes to me. Personally, I don't get the Halfeti. Golden Oud smells real smooth, yet I find the grapefruit in Halfeti too strong and those citrus notes clashes too much with the wood notes for my liking. I don't pick up any citrus in Golden Oud. All I know is the more I keep trying to go through my fragrances to find the one I'm thinking of, each time I smell Golden Oud to compare I think how wonderful and smooth Golden Oud smells compared to everything I'm trying. I'm starting to think this is more unique than I thought it was As with all brand new 1 Million bottles I own, the juice gets stronger and stronger the longer it macerates and I expect the same with this. All in all, I consider myself fortunate to own a bottle and am extremely happy with 1 Million Golden Oud!!

I see a lot of premature reviews on this scent, and some I even agreed with them on my initial opening of Golden Oud. I got a shot of sharp earthy leather, very rough around the edges. I purchased early spring so I figured this would best suited for cooler weather. I also became much more familiar with oud type fragrances after adding several to my collection since then. Fast forward to today (8 months later).. after some test sprays throughout, maceration, a better understanding and appreciation for oud, and perfect fall weather- this is a fricken 1mil gem! I think it's great when they actually put a flanker out and it strays far away from what you'd expect. I can fully appreciate this scent now and would only recommend it only for the mature gentlemen. For an Oud 1mil, I think this is phenomenal for fans of the line as well. For those that had a bad experience early on, just like many fragrances- open it up, few test sprays. initial impression may not be great at that time, or your nose may not be ready for it. You may be surprised and find you actually like it with time. Overall 8.5/10

Upon the initial spray, I was greeted with a delightful combination of sweet but dark vanilla. The depth of the fragrance is enriched by a lovely leather note and the oud, which meld seamlessly with the vanilla. After about a minute, the spices and saffron typical of Middle Eastern fragrances come through, adding an intriguing complexity that makes it perfect for the colder months. As the scent evolves, the saffron and spices gradually fade, leaving behind a warm and inviting blend of vanilla, leather and oud that lingers throughout the wearing. In terms of performance, Golden Oud does not disappoint. I experienced around eight hours of wear from the initial spray. The scent projected well for the first hour, and in the second hour, I noticed a solid two feet of projection that lasted deep into the sixth or seventh hour, before it settled into a subtle skin scent by the eighth hour.

Great fragrance. Has similarities to Oud Dream by Montale. Oud, leather, patchouli, and saffron are the most noticeable notes. The leather and oud combo is great; slightly animalic but not in a bad way. The patchouli and spices are very apparent and blend well. Performance is great, as well as the quality. Most designer oud fragrances are usually minimal on the oud, and just have it barely there in the background, so this was a great purchase. With that in mind, I can definitely see why this is a middle eastern exclusive, since most people in the west would gravitate towards this from a designerbrand. Something like this would definitely be sold as a niche fragrance in the US market. Definitely my favorite designer release of 2023 Overall 8.5/10 Very stoked on this purchase. If you want something similar to this but cheaper, Oud Dream by Montale is comparable.

Goddamn, this is something else! I genuinely can't believe that this is designer perfumery, the quality of the blend here is insane and it just smells...niche. The scent is complicated and sophisticated, a dark and warm Middle Eastern spice bomb and the comparisons to Halfeti are very warranted as it is quite similar. Excellent projection and longevity (just spray enough since the atomiser remains Paco Rabanne quality xD), amazing price to quality and performance ratio. I'm so sad they discontinued this but I was able to grab some from limited stock on their website so who knows..maybe it is making a comeback? If you were holding off on this...just get it, probably the highest quality designer perfume I have put my nose to.

I have absolutely no idea where people get Halfeti from with this, I've been wearing Halfeti alot lately, tried this yesterday and back to Halfeti today. Absolutely no closeness For me this is very up front oudy leathery with a sweet lift from a light but very distinct touch of the 1 Million DNA. Closest comparison I could make is a sweeter Ombre Nomade without as much kick. I really really like this, it's strong enough and lasts pretty ok from 3 sprays from a decant atomiser. Skin scent for me abit quicker than I'd like however every now and then the smell does catch me again. Going to be a solid one for mild to cold weather and I think I'll be picking up a bottle for the upcoming winter.

Just ordered off Ebay- Seller has limited number of authentic bottles-- I will add this to the other 9 -1 Millions in my collection.. It arrived and presentation is typical 1 Million- Emerald color jewel- Smells Gucci- like and not overpowering OUD. - It jumps a few in the line up on initial sample- Will see if it can surpass Prive' Or Absolutely Gold. So far so good.. ( I can smell the Iris which is a plus for me).. * OKay, so after a full day's wear- I can say this lasts extremely long- all day and even whiffs the next day. I can't say it's a beast as the fragrance does not over power. The OUD is not dirty, either.. The most pleasant smokey, oud that I own...

At first spray, I regretted purchasing this cologne and thought it was just gonna be a "display" cologne. A couple months go by and I said why not try this one again, I LOVED IT X. Just one spray lasts MINIMUM 8+ hours, the woody sweet sillage and projection from this cologne is the best out of my collection by far (it is a parfum intense so I'm not surprised). Wore this to work one time, I got a compliment from my coworker every time I talked to him, he legitimately bugged me the whole day to let him know what the cologne was....I never told him, xoxo Sky, I won't let my weight define me, only by scent.

Had to run this back. 9.5/10 yes, it's that good. Yes it's dark, yes it has roughly 20% the original DNA, but just punched up by Woods and florals, and the wood is wooding. This stuff is absolutely worth 120$ if you dress accordingly, as with about 70% of ouds, you should dress decent at minimum. It's special stuff. Leather jacket, peacoat, trench, corduroy type scent. Spray this INSIDE of something so it's not as present, then swing your jacket open and WOOOOSH hahaha. Sorry but I'm totally fan boying over the best 1M flanker. I will visit the creators other endeavors!

Originally available only in the Middle East, but can now be found in Macys here in the West. It reminds me of a longer lasting and better projecting Oud for Greatness. Yes it's designer but it smells great. Golden Oud has the 1 Million DNA without the sickly sweet scent of the original. Best worn in Fall and Winter, day or night but you definitely can get away with wearing this year-round for any occasion as it is not cloying during the Summer. 1 Million Golden Oud can be worn comfortably by both men and women. This is a Love for me.

Smelled this with someone and immediately "niche" comes to mind. I asked what he was wearing and he was hesitant at first but after being persistent he said "1 Million comes in gold bottle" I thought this guy is bullshitting me because I know right away its an Oud fragrance and its gotta be an expensive one. Googled it, typed in '1 Million Oud' and there it is. Golden Oud. Immediately bought a bottle. Every time I wear this I get compliments. It has this niche/ old money like quality to it. 10/10 for me.

This fragrance is amazing! The original one million DNA is discernibly there but the added saffron and oud notes add a mysteriously appealing element. I would go so far to say that the quality here is at or approaching niche level. For context, I have 70 + niche perfumes in my collection and I've been stuck wearing this fragrance all week. I initially purchased this as a collectors item with no plans to open it. The best designer release of 2023 by far IMO! Peace.

Stop listening to influencers! If you want a polarizing, dark, funky (for 10 minutes) and absolutely DIVINE designer oud, this is the BEST! For me, this is number 2 PR behind the original (2015 batch) one million. This has almost perfect performance (about 6 hours relatively loud, arm length+) and really screams sexy, funky CONFIDENCE. Super scent lord PACO does it again! This is my #1 release of 2023, just beating althair, and definitely beating le male elixir.

Smelled it and I almost fainted. I was immediately transported to Las Vegas 2005. I was wearing a Hervé Léger dress but no undies. Gasping should I roll the ice cold dice and risk it all? I look up and im captivated in the smouldering ambery eyes of a beautiful stranger. The scent of extremely expensive oud waft from him... my gold tongue can taste the luxury. I roll. Flushed. The winner takes it all. 10/10

I got Golden Oud last year and even bought a back up bottle incase it got discontinued and it's by far the most expensive smelling flanker from the 1 million line with a niche quality at a designer price. I'm calling it now, this is going to become really sought after in a few years time once this is long discontinued and people start appreciating how good this actually was. - 24/04/24

Received my bottle today form the official Rabanne Website. Actually quite an old batch (31291 / 2023-05-09). So far I'm loving the scent, it's amazing. But I'm kinda disappointed by the projection and longevity. Does the juice need some maturation before getting a better performance? Does someone has some experience like that? Scent - 9/10 Longevity - 5 / 10 Projection - 5/10

This legitimately my favorite One Million fragrance, and it's by a country mile... Not overly strong, but lasts all day, and just smells amazing. It's very linear in my opinion, but that's ok, its very classy and sophisticated, and meant for 35+ in age. I think you could pull this off easily in the office, or in the evening, just watch the sprays for office wear. 9 out of 10.

Just picked this up today at Ross of all places. I saw it in the fragrance counter and blind bought it. I gotta say the opening is a bit strange but after a minute this beautiful sweetness comes through and balances it out perfectly. To me this comes across as well balanced and aromatic. 10/10 very happy with this one! Best in the 1 million line IMO

It has a warm spicy,leathery,oudy scent profile.This flanker carries traces of the original. It's a version of the original with added leather and oud notes. It stays on clothes even the next day. It's a good alternative to the ombre nomad. It's a shame it's limited in number. And in my humble opinion, it's the best flanker in the 1 million series.

Absolute belter from PR with this one. Pleasantly shocked by how much they have deviated from standard 1M DNA. Rich and full of spicy character with much more of an oud to it than you would expect from a mainstream designer scent. Punches well above its weight. Good enough for me to buy a back up bottle - a rare thing for me. In my winter top 5.

I somehow stumbled into this one in Macys. Designer colognes containing oud are quite rare nowadays. This one is really mass appealing. I understand how it can resemble halfeti, however it has its designer aspect to it. Dark, powdery and rich with a touch of leather. Projects and lasts great, around 8 hours with strong projection. 8/10

1 Million oud to my nose is a mix between the spicy notes from Chopard oud malaki and dry woody notes from Chopard incense malaki with some sweetness from the original 1 Million. It smells great to my nose with good performance but it is not for everyone so try before you buy. Worth the discounted price if you ask me. 9-APR-2024

Perfume is art and not all will like or see the beauty. This is the best 1 Million flanker so far. Exquisite and sophisticated, not for boys or undeveloped olfactory. This is a gem. Everytime I've worn this I have gotten compliments. Decant if you're not familiar with Oud. This is a very pleasant Oud. 10/10

It's a solid release for a designer for sure! For those who are afraid of the oud note don't be because it's not a strong one, It's like a woody note more than oud. Performance is great I get 10 hours+ with it, plus a strong projection as well. Definitely recommended for people around 30+

This is actually good. Able to be worn all year if people are looking for what it's similar to? I'd say Phillip Plein's No Limits with less sweetness and Black Tie by Jeremy Fragrance. Really good scent; if you can get your nose on it, do so; you'll love it.

People saying SWY OUD are definitely tripping. This has way more complexity, it's not a rose heavy frag at all, it's about 15% original one million, sweet spicey, 30% oud, 55% iris and other woods blended, almost an absinthe like quality wood. Amazing.

Smells like a darker version if Halfeti Penthaligons, withmore safron and added oud a bit similar to mr sam aswell but less fress and sweet spicey, but darker moody and dens. But with less projection. Amazing for the price if you can find it

For a designer fragrance, who you kidding this stuff rocks.. Yes, it was a Middle East release. But, It's perfect for the United States..Right in the middle for everyone. Grab a bottle if you can or you will regret not getting this one..

This is one for the fragrance heads !! Well-blended oud up-front with a serious Middle Eastern lean. The one million line suddenly has a respectable rank of flankers from Lucky to Parfum, the new Royal, and this gem. Beautiful!!

I tested most of the other 1 millions but stumbled across this, i thought of this as a sweet bomb but over time it becomes very addictive and sexy. I am stuck between buying this or Dior homme intense, pls help

This is a great scent , it has the DNA of one million but in different ways .. less cinnamon , less orange , less sweet stuff... with woody notes ... that’s perfect balance between sweetness & woods

This is the best 1 Million flanker. Smells nothing like the original. In the same vein as OFG/Haltane/Oud Bouquet/Oud Extrait. Definitely the winner of the bunch for it’s value!

A more wearable Gucci intense oud but spicier less Smokey. Like a mix of man in black & intense oud. A nice western oud that is wearable & strays far from the 1 million line.

This is straight up Halfeti or Papilefiko with a slightly increased leather accord. Get whichever one you can for the best price; as they're incredibly redundant.

When I first got this, I was like "woah that's good!" Now that it's been a little over a year, I'm like "holy shit this is a top 3 designer for sure..."

If you don’t like this fragrance either you’re a kid or you’re gay af. This fragrance is a 10/10. I have no words to describe this masterpiece...

Very nice! Does have strong leathery oud and labdanum notes, great for oud lover and mature noses, i dont see this being a hit with the ladies

Great perfume one of my favorite finished a whole bottle suitable for all season and a daily lasts for like 6 to 8 hours
