1 Million Lucky

1 Million Lucky is a fragrance by Paco Rabanne, and is of course a spinoff/entry from the infamous 1 Million line, many may be familiar with the iconic gold bar look of that original scent. My uncle gave me half a bottle of his original 1 Million back in high school, and I loved it, though now I feel that scent is a bit too simple- relying mostly on just the note of aromatic sweetness, with not enough spice, but of course to its credit, it does what it has iconically well. Coming back to Lucky, this fragrance has to be the most different from any other one on the 1 Million Line. Upon first spray, an absolutely pleasant hazelnut creaminess cuts through the air, and underneath it a subtle wave of freshness. Once it sits on the skin for a minute, that is when the woodiness takes set, anchored by a not too subtle honey yet respectable sweetness that very gently resembles the DNA of the original 1 Million fragrance. I am an absolute simp for hazelnut/nutty scents and tastes so for me this is pretty close to a perfect smell for my tastes. The longevity so far has been better than expected, maybe 2-4 hours, at which point it becomes more of a skin scent, though it feels to be by design with the notes of the scent. So don’t take it the wrong way, even after half a day, if anyone is close to you, you will smell sweet, fresh, and even sensual if they are in your intimate space (I would assume, no experience here on that one). Presentation is great, although it is the most different of the line scent-wise overall, it definitely still has the Million DNA way underneath everything, so I think it is fair for them to reuse the bottle bar shape (of course they did this for marketing mostly), and making it stand out by being the only silver one was a great distinction. Again, just on a personal note I absolutely fuck with this note-lineup, so this is really up there in my collection. As far as obtaining this frag, you’ll likely have to pay full price as this is tragically semi-discontinued, i.e. word on the street is that it’s been well on its way out and slowing production if not almost completely. So, you are not going to find this on discounters, meaning you’ll have to pay the full price either on the Rabanne website or a store like Sephora, Nordstrom Rack, etc. This fragrance is priced at $122. As far as a good fragrance goes, or at least the best of my collection this isn’t the worst value fragrance, and the uniqueness of it actually makes this not a bad price value relative to most fragrances, but I feel that for that much, it would’ve been closer to perfect value if the bottle was bigger or the scent had a little bit better performance. I am going to rate 1 Million Lucky 7.5/10. Not the first fragrance I’d tell you to get to build your collection or use as a daily driver, but if you’re looking for something different than most, you have the money to spend, and you want to smell pleasantly unique on occasion, then this is a great buy. Who knows, if they fully axe it soon like everyone says, it will become much harder to ever get your hands on this.

This is arguably the best 1 Million, in my opinion. Firstly, the bottle looks gorgeous. It is not as eye-catching as the original (and that's great!). I like the bottle more than 1 Million Prive, too. The only downside about the bottle is that it is a fingerprint magnet. The sprayer is also great. 1 Million Lucky smells fantastic (sorry, I ran out of adjectives to describe how great the scent really is). While it is a gourmand fragrance and very fruity, it is very fresh and well-rounded. It opens up with a heavy but pleasant and weirdly sensual hazelnut with light aquatic/ozonic notes. After that, the plum and honey starts to become prominent. At the drydown, the patchouli starts to be present and it is just sublime. I can smell the hazelnut at every phase (base, mid, and top) and I love it! 1 Million Lucky lasts super long. I mean, really freakin long. I sprayed it at 5.30 AM and it projects well until 1 PM with great projection (a rare occasion for my skin and the weather), and I can smell the trails until right now at 7 PM (although very close to the skin). It is more suitable for winter and fall use but I actually don't care about that since I can wear this one everytime in the year. I can say that it is suitable for both night and day use. It is also very unique and creative. In a nutshell, 1 Million Lucky is what a heaven smells like. It is long-lasting, smells sweet, nutty, and fruity while bringing freshness to the table. It is long-lasting, projects very well, very versatile, and a great deal for a fragrance this great. ---------------- Things I'd like to state: - At first, I have a very low expectation for this one, but turns out it is one of my best purchases so far. - I thought it is going to be sickly sweet, but it is really well-balanced. This information is very important, especially for those of you who don't like gourmand/sickly sweet fragrances. - Please, try it for yourselves first before judging. Many people in this forum are ignorant enough to rate many fragrances (especially flankers) very low without trying them first. One of my favorite winter fragrances! Personal: 9/10 – Sweet, nutty hazelnut with honey, fruits, and woods. I love how addictive it is, even though it can get cloying if oversprayed. One of my favorite bottles in my collection. Mass appeal: 8.5/10 – Sweet, gourmand-leaning masculines are usually crowd-pleasers. The nutty-honey combo is unique enough to stand out, but some will find it overly sweet. Performance: 7.5/10 – Strong projection and long-lasting. This fragrance clings and radiates well. Value: 7/10 – Supposedly discontinued, but it still exists out there for not too crazy prices. That said, it's still a bit expensive for a designer bottle. Uniqueness: 8/10 – Hazelnut and honey at the core of a mainstream fragrance is pretty unusual, and it makes Lucky distinct from its 1 Million siblings and most designer releases. SCORE: 80/100 Full bottle buy? YES, and I already own it. It’s one of my favorite designer bottles, despite being cloying. Blind buy? NO, it’s far too sweet and heavy to risk without sampling. Recommend? YES, if you want a sweet, nutty-gourmand designer with really solid performance. Date night? YES, it’s sweet, sexy, and loud. Perfect for clubs or casual winter evenings. Office safe? NO, way too loud and cloying for professional settings, even if light on sprays. Pros: Addictive hazelnut-honey sweetness, solid performance, unique among designer gourmands. Cons: Very cloying if oversprayed, pricey compared to other Paco Rabanne bottles, not versatile. 1 Million Lucky is one of Paco Rabanne’s best spins on the 1 Million DNA. It takes the original’s sweetness and pushes it into nutty-gourmand territory, making it playful, loud, and addictive. It's a bit cloying if you're not careful with the sprays, but that's fine, since that's what 1 Million has always done best. It opens with a very nutty sweetness, but the actual notes are quite hard to distinguish. It evolves by staying sweet and warm, and unsurprisingly, stays quite linear. It's not a niche fragrance, it's not artisanal, but it's sweet, loud, and bold. And honestly, I like that. I really like it. It's not the best bottle out there, but it's a really good bottle for the wintertime, and a LOT of people will really enjoy smelling it in casual or party settings. As the reviewer below me said (TPAB_15), at least in the US, this and all other Paco Rabanne products are 15% off in-store and online at Macy's right now. When I saw this, I rushed down to my mall to grab 1 Million Lucky since it's never at discounters, and I couldn't be happier. I've smelled this before at Sephora a couple of times, and the first time I smelled it, it immediately reminded me of another fragrance; English Laundy's Charmer, it's almost 1 to 1. I bought it around the same time last year from a TJMaxx for $15 before I was really into fragrances, and I had no idea it was a clone (or what clones were lol). I still have a tiny bit left and I sprayed it on for comparison; Charmer is definitely on the lighter and brighter side in dry-down (somewhat laundry-like, ironic) while I get a little more patchouli and vetiver with Lucky. However, the opening of Charmer is almost exactly the same as Lucky, and Lucky's dry-down becomes more and more similar to Charmer with time. Performance wasn't great with Charmer, but it would last a good 4-6 hours on skin and stick to clothes a while longer. I'm not saying you should go out and order it for $35, but if you see it at TJMaxx or Marshall's for $15... it might be worth the pickup. I recently went to a Marshall's that had two bottles in stock, so it's still floating around out there. All that being said, having gone through almost a full bottle of such a similar scent, 1 Million Lucky brings back a lot of good memories. It's pretty unique amongst the 1 Million line, and it's definitely one of the better scents. I was about to order a bottle of 1 Million Royal when I came across the Macy's sale, and I'm really glad I did. This is something I'd wear in any season except the summer, and I think it works both during the day and at night. Overall this gets an easy 9.5/10 from me, it's such an enjoyable scent. Easy blind buy, and a no-brainer if you can find it on sale.

This fragrance will always have a special place in my heart. It's perfectly blended, warm, cozy and opulent, it just lifts your mood in a very special way, it's strong but the strong that you can get away with if you over spray because it smells so good and is so easy to wear. Women will LOVE this on you! Something about this dna that drives them crazy. Story time! My ex and I when we were together were on the verge of breaking up, you know that phase when everything is an argument, tensions high, resentment building, patience low? yeah that's where we were. After an argument we went two weeks without calling or texting each other, in my head that was it and it was mutual for her as well. Somehow we texted each other agreeing to meet up in PUBLIC to end the relationship amicably and with closure face to face. I parked up and watched her walk over to my car and when she got inside these were her exact words " *shouts name with the angriest most disgusted look* why would you wear that cologne?! OMG! I really didn't come here to do this and you know what you're doing wearing that cologne too!" garments started coming off and I was demanded to go in the back seat. No discussion, no apologies, nothing. Right hand to God exactly what happened. I laughed the entire time. Even though I have transitioned to niche fragrances now, I might just get another bottle of this while I can before it's completely gone just to have in my collection along with the OG Acqua di Gio. My current collection is Le Labo Another 13, LV Imagination, MFK Baccarat & OSM Extrait, Atlelier des Ors Noir by Night, Angel's Share, Mind Games French Defense, Mancera Aoud Lemon Mint, Montale Arabians Tonka, Paco Rabanne Phantom (gift), Precious Liquid Salt and Pepper. I will try to review all of them plus other fragrances I've owned and I'll try to attach a story to each as well so look out for those.

I think the assumption is that because this is another 1 Million fragrance, this MUST be another musky, creamy, and powdery frag, and reviewers here are automatically assuming this is another fall winter fragrance. I've been wearing some samples of this and really don't understand the majority voting for winter and fall on this. It's sweet sure, but VERY, VERY fresh and ozonic, in the opening, AND the drydown. I'm not one of these, "this-is-ONLY-appropriate-for-this-season people." However, I STRONGLY disagree this would be "best" for fall or winter. This is WAAAAAYYYY too fresh and ozonic to be "mainly" a winter for fall fragrance. What the majority of fragrance hobbyists forget, is that 99% of people out in the world have NO CLUE about the appropriateness for fragrances in certain seasons. I've read others express their frustration on this type of inaccurate relegation of a fragrance to something it's not, and now I see their point. I believe many users here are reviewing fragrances based on the notes they are reading on the site, without actually wearing the fragrance, or even smelling it! When someone smells this on you in the summer, chances are they will think it smells great, in hot weather, cold weather, rainy weather, sunny weather. If you like it, and and it smells good to YOU in whatever season, wear it. After all, you paid for it.

When you spray it you’re hit with plum, honey and an uplifting bergamot and ozonic notes that makes this so refreshing and as it dries down it gets even better with woody notes that balance the sweetness out but it never loses that fresh sweetness. I’m always in search of fragrances that are haunting and addictive and this is it. In terms of 1 million this is the best one there is because it isn’t overly synthetic or head ache inducing although you may want to go light on the sprays because of the sweetness. It smells sweet without being too synthetic and it lasts 3 to 4 hours with strong projection, moderate projection around hour 5 and becomes a skin scent around the 6 to 8 hour mark. Great for date nights especially if you’re 21 to 33. Exceptional for date nights with an activity because it’s intoxicating in the air with a head turning scent trail. I would give it a 10/10 bc there is nothing I would change about it. It’s simply put a designer mass appealing masterpiece. I just love it and hope it is never fully discontinued.

When first sprayed on, you get blasted with a nutty sweet plum that’s fruity, fresh, and sweet. After 5 minutes or so it’s the same relatively sweet fresh nutty plum but now smoothed out with that cashmere, and some florals that are not heavy but are super light. These florals all the way through the scent uplift its freshness. After a solid 10 minutes it (atleast for me) becomes less fresh and an almost earthy patchouli vetiver and amber darken things up. Through the entire fragrance though, that nutty, honey, sweet plum is very prominent and yummy that I think actually when mixed with that earthier darker spicer side make an amazing designer. In my opinion this takes the cake as the best paco fragrance oat. This is oddly specific but due to this fragrance being to clawing for high heat but not powerful enough for winter, this is best in 50-70 degree range in like a rainy spring day or a nice fall day. (9.2 / 10) one of the best designers.

I don't know if this is discontinued outside of the US, but in the US you can find this at pretty much any frag store. I got mine from Macy's and it came with a 1 Million deodorant and a 10ml sample of the original 1 Million for about $110 USD (They are having a sale as of 10/3/24). To start off, this fragrance is straight up addictive. Each time I sampled this at a store, I liked it more than the last time. To note, this fragrance should be worn cautiously in anything above 70F, but that's the only real con. The longevity is around 7-8 hours with a medium projection for 3-4. This would be suitable for almost anything except formal settings, just be careful with the trigger. I believe that anybody can rock any fragrance they like, but if I had to give it an age range, I'd say 16-40. It is youthful, seductive, and versatile, which is why I give this fragrance a 9/10! If you like sweet fragrances, this is for you!

Rating my collection #1 This was the first fragrance in my collection and holds a special place in my heart. Sadly, it's discontinued and sold out everywhere. Upon spraying, you're blasted with a symphony of sweet and fruity notes, with ozonic touches adding a pleasant freshness in the background. To my nose, the most prominent notes are honey, plum, and nuts. For the price, you get "niche-level" quality and performance. It's a versatile scent that you can rock on most occasions, any time of day. It attracts attention without being offensive. However, it's best to avoid wearing it in extreme heat. I enjoy wearing this on casual night outs or coffee dates. I'm at work and I should be going through this pile of papers in front of me, but instead I'm on this site to write a glowing review of 1 Million Lucky. This scent is incredible. Quite possible the best out of the Million line by Paco Rabanne. The smell is sweet, but not as strong as the other Million fragrances in the line up. This one is more fun and youthful, very vibrant. The only reason this isn't a summer/spring fragrance is because of the honey/nutty/woody notes that go with it. It's a little too heavy for the summer- the spring is as far as I'd take it. The price is a little high for this one, but being that it's the best in the line, I guess that's what you'd expect. Find yourself a decant on a site if you don't want to spend $120 or more on blind buying this. I know a good one.

Plum, honey, and nutella with some smooth woods. Not into gourmand or even sweet fragrances like that...but some fragrances are special, and this is one of them. I don't think anybody can deny how good this smells, and to have as great longevity that it does for an EDT is fantastic. I don't wear this super often, because I like to keep it as a secret weapon (i broke apart the casing for the silver bar, so it looks like an unsuspecting square of juice) so it looks super inconspicuous lol. This fragrance made me fall in love with honey and hazelnut as notes in fragrance. My one, and only gripe with this fragrance is that the atomizer is the worst, as it is with all Rabanne fragrances in this line and the invictus line. But the juice? It's worth the squeeze. 10/10

One of my favorite scents Blast of citrus in the opening that quickly turns fresh and fruity-sweet. Pretty strong projection for the first few hours followed by a nice scent bubble for the rest of its duration. Lasts about 8 hours on average for me. To me, this always lived up to the hype and I find it to be a very versatile scent. It's sweet enough to be worn during the winter, and fresh enough for the summer too. I've found that people overstate how sweet this stuff is, I find it to be a pretty even blend of fresh and sweetness. I heard a guy say it smelled like kettle corn or buttery popcorn which I dont understand lol. The scent is very unique for a designer and maybe it's why I loved it so much. Will forever be one of my favorites. 8.5/10

(I may be slightly biased because this is my gift for Christmas) I am new to collecting perfumes, but this might as well be my best fragrance yet. The smell is really amazing, you get plum and honey, as well as some woodiness from the hazlenut which to me smells a little salty. I was expecting something really unique but no, this is simply a mass appealing fragrance with the paco rabanne bubblegummy dna, its if le male elixir and one of the invictuses had a baby. And this is a very versatile fragrance as well, its sweet but also really fresh cuz of all the bright citrucy top notes, and because its an EDT you can wear it during summer as well, day and night. Versatile with an amazing smell, what more could you want from a fragrance? 9/10

1 Million Lucky by Paco Rabanne is an absolute standout in the 1 Million lineup and, to me, the best 1 Million ever released. From the very first spray, it opens with a rich, nutty, and inviting vibe that feels both playful and sophisticated. The combination of sweet hazelnut and fresh plum notes creates a unique and delicious opening that’s unlike any other in the series. As it develops, smooth woody and creamy facets make the dry-down feel warm and comforting without ever becoming boring. The performance is excellent, with strong longevity and a noticeable trail that keeps you smelling great for hours. This is a scent I genuinely enjoy wearing and one that I absolutely love because it’s, in my opinion, the best 1 Million.

This is my favorite fragrance in my collection, I’m so sad it got discontinued so get it while it’s still in circulation. It is a beautiful honey nutty fragrance. It doesn’t project the best for me but it does last long, and I will savor every spray of this stuff so I make sure it lasts. It is definitely a men’s fragrance, but today I smelt it and it almost reminded me of a perfume I smelt on a girl, and the more I smell Lucky I see it as a unisex fragrance. I wear it all year round and constantly make new discoveries about it. It’s a designer fragrance but smells niche. 10000/10 I need to buy more before it’s no longer in circulation.

Discovered this scent by accident when I purchased a shave soap by Stirling called Solidus. Turns out it's a dupe of 1 Million Lucky. Had to find a bottle of the OG. This is fantastic juice. Fragheads would call this a gourmand---and I don't disagree with that moniker. I find it quite masculine and the woody notes to be sublime. One of the worst scents from this line is 1 Million Parfum---a scent I found abhorrent, so I was very pleasantly surprised to learn this was a 1 Million flanker. Long-lasting; decent projection; perfect on all but the hottest days. IMO leans masculine. This stank gets an enthusiastic thumbs up.

Best one in the 1 million line by far. Its not even comparable to the original, this is the bigger better brother that is better in every way then the other siblings. I love hazelnuts and the smell is heavenly, sadly this is discontinued and its hard to find these days. Theres many fakes out there. Honestly buy nike ultra green, its better because it smells the same with a little worse performance and its very cheap. Nike ultra green isnt available in my country but i paid a bit more for shipping and i got it for 25$ for 200ml bottle. Still, if you have this good on you.

This one will last 12hrs+ for me and was an instant favorite. The hazelnut and honey, combined with the fresh and clean undertones, are something to experience if you're able to pick some up. I won't hesitate to apply generously to my skin and I can wear this one year round. The sweetness fades, but never vanishes, as the dry off reveals floral notes. The scent profile makes it appropriate for warmer nights or cooler weather. It's not too sweet and pulls many compliments. 1 Million Lucky has above average projection and sillage. Highly recommended.

It is a long lasting all year round, seductive sweet and fresh youthfull fragrance, do not listen to any badcomments get this top 5 frags for me(smelt hounderts of frags and sold as much).To sum it all up it is a no brainer buy and dont think it cant be worn for summer it is esspecially good for summer.Disclaimer: if you dont like sweet fragrances even a bit (this is not too sweet)you may not like it and if you are above 35 it may feel a bit too youthfull for you but other than that it is a perfect designer.hope it is helpful .
