Fabulous Me

I have to give this perfume incredible credit for attempting to create a genuine pumpkin note: a naked pumpkin, not adorned with the typical "pumpkin spice" blend that has become so overused and cliche in today's world. The perfume opens with rhubarb. The rhubarb here is not sour or bracing, thankfully. Here, it is crisp and playful, with notes of unripe green apples and citrusy Triple Sec Liquor. The Rhubarb is quickly followed by pumpkin: the heart of the perfume. The pumpkin is vegetal, lightly grassy green, and earthy/ sweet. Imagine a layer of orange leaves covering the forest floor in Autumn, releasing sugars as they decompose. Imagine gutting a fresh pumpkin as a child to make a Jack-o'-lantern. This is my favorite stage of the perfume: nostalgic and natural. Sandalwood finishes the composition. It is creamy here, with musky nuances. It's strength increases with time, eventually becoming the star of the show. It is the perfect companion to the pumpkin note, creating a sensual and unexpectedly intoxicating dry down. I definitely would not classify this perfume as Gourmand; it's more of a woody composition. I would consider this perfume unisex, leaning masculine, and appropriate for any season. Obviously, it is best worn in Autumn. Today is Halloween and I am loving it.

I wanted a fall/Halloween cologne...this did it for me...it smell like an expensive sunscreen at first then dries down to a waxy pumpkin pretty quickly! I get a crisp fresh background from the rhubarb...

Nice smooth and creamy scent. Pumpkin is noticeable at the beginning, then slowly quiets down to very smooth vanilla and sandalwood. I like it, but not enough to get a full bottle.

I just bought 4 fragrances from this collection, this is the first one I tried and I quite liked its smell, the negative thing is that I hardly feel projection, this collection went unnoticed, I feel that it was mostly misunderstood, each of the fragrances that It aims to emulate a different metallic note come in an unusual format from its polyurethane bottle that looks like a juice (or blood) bag, to its 62ml capacity. The fragrance itself is not very innovative although it came out in 2019 is very similar to the new Fame Intense launched in 2024 only without the jasmine note. This fragrance has 4 notes declared by the brand and I am going to name them in order of how I feel they predominate: sandalwood, vanilla, rhubarb and pumpkin, The combination of sandalwood and vanilla gives us a very pleasant sweetness well balanced by the rhubarb in its most fruity facet and I feel that this is precisely what can give that note like well-cooked and soft pumpkins that just by resting a fork on top of them they will be pureed. In short, a modern sweet fragrance, as it could not be otherwise with this futuristic and youthful style; Little by little I will be reviewing the 4 acquired although right now curiosity got and I atomized Strong Me before enjoying the complete development of this one, what can I say about Strong me, I loved it without trying the other two, I know it will be my favorite.

I recently reviewed this on my Youtube "Rotten Rebel" and wanted to share how I feel about this to all you wonderful people here on Fragrantica! This to me is a pretty cool blend with a bit of a green and fruity opening (rhubarb and pumpkin).. The opening has a nice dose of sweetness to it which a lot of people (me included) find attractive. The more it dries down the more it turns into this sort of sweet and woody blend with the residue of the green and fruity opening on top. To my nose it's a sweet, woody and green scent with a nice fruity side to it and it's so creamy in such a nice way! I really enjoy this, and I look forward to using it a lot more! Peace and love!

I bought this because I love pumpkin spice and wanted an Autumnal fragrance. I actually think this is more suited to a Spring wear. It’s surprisingly green, J get rhubarb mixed with vibrant green leaf on the opening. This settles to a more creamy vanilla-pumpkin on the dry down. It’s unisex but more feminine leaning I feel. I have received compliments when wearing this, the person told me I smelt nice and when I asked for feedback they said it was really “fresh and clean smelling.” So there you have it! Perhaps don’t buy it if you want pumpkin, but do if you want a fresh, clean scent.

I recently acquired the Paco Rabanne fragrance "Fabulous Me" and I must say, the rich pumpkin scent is truly unique and delightful. It stands out from other fragrances I've tried, thanks to its amazing aroma. The bottle design is aesthetically pleasing, though I do wish it could stand on its own. Additionally, the 62ml size feels a bit lightweight, possibly due to the plastic material. Overall, a great fragrance with a few minor design quirks. Also purchesed the Dangerous me and that one is my number 1 for winter!

Smells like a stronger version of Bvlgari Omnia. Initially, a bit too heavy on the Rhubarb for my liking. I was hoping it was going to have a heavier pumpkin vibe. It is there and becomes more visible midway through. The Sandalwood is potent and becomes the main focus for most of the wear. The vanilla is very slight and gives the overall composition of the scent a pleasant feel while not making it too sweet. It's a nice fall fragrance and a great choice for someone that loves Sandalwood fragrances.

Super shimmering sandalwood scent with pumpkin peeking through, waxy and vegetal. Paco describes this overall impression as a "coppery amber oriental" in a marketing reach, it's not completely missed the mark. It does have a shimmering, timeless feeling, like copper. The bottle is like a soft pillow around a flask-shaped bottle reservoir. Really unique, love it.

I was not expecting to be saying this, but the sweetness in Fabulous Me reminds me a lot of the lactonic sweetness in Lanvin Oxygene and Cacharel's Noa. It gets more tangy, spicy and woody while it dries down but it's the lovely, warm and creamy sort of sweetness that I enjoy in Perfumes rather than the sickly vanilla or candy sweetness many scents have. I'd say that this one starts off a tad more feminine leaning but then gets more masculine in the base notes. I'd go bonkers for a man who smelt like this tbh! A really beautiful perfume imho!

The pumpkin here isn't super recognizable, nor is it particularly beautiful (lol). ELDO x Tilda Swinton's Like This is more captivating hands down. Pumpkin has such a singular scent and I'm reminded of it every year when we carve pumpkins for Halloween. I think it's greener than you'd imagine. Fabulous Me is candy-like and unappealing at the beginning. I seldom call scents nauseating, but it is. (I secretly suspect I'm not a rhubarb kind of gal). Luckily with a bit of time, it fades and you have a much more enjoyable vanilla-sandalwood experience in the drydown, similar to Dangerous Me from the same collection.

I am surprised there isn't a little more love for this fragrance considering the notes, but perhaps this is a missed release for many. Pumpkin isn't a common ingredient in perfumes that are here on Fragrantica. I feel that this one shares some similarities to ELdO's Like This, but with more lasting power. The pumpkin is clear and comes through for me on both, but this one has the better performance. A cozy scent that many would associate with fall, it also wears well in winter and spring. This is nice and grounded with the sandalwood, a comfortable scent to cozy up with anytime the temps drop below 70F.

Just picked up this and Strong Me for under £40 each in TKMaxx. Really interesting, smells like pumpkin pie BEFORE you bake it. Imagine a sweet pie crust filled with the pumpkin pulp mixture ready to go in the oven, slightly spicy and a lot creamy, but almost savoury and fresh at the same time. At first I wasn’t sure but this foodie scent is growing on me. I’ll keep it for another year and see how I get on. Also, official notes from Paco R - pumpkin, rhubarb, sandalwood AND vanilla. Strong me on the other hand is a straight keeper - that one is strong, spicy, and boozy vanilla - LOVE 😍

I had to have this because of the promised pumpkin note. The package lists: Pumpkin, Green Rhubarb, Sandalwood, and Vanilla. First on, the rhubarb is unmistakable, with buttery vegetal notes, but it dries down to a wonderful creamy vanilla that my friend and I both really enjoyed. There's a musk in there that is a gorgeous makeup smell, very smooth and creamy. I loved this my first try, but on another day, a strange hairspray note came in, acrid floral/plastic. Not sure what happened there, but my dream of a true pumpkin note faded quietly away.

This is surprisingly the best one out of all of them. When I was at Macy's choosing one of these, this fragrance was the most sold compared to the other ones. It has a calming feeling to it which I can wear at work, sleep, or at home.
