Fame Couture

It’s incredible, delicious, and totally addictive! Even though it's marketed for women, it feels almost unisex to me. I’m a man and I usually prefer very manly colognes, but this is a total winner. For those who enjoy the Jean Paul Gaultier DNA, there is a clear connection here to Le Beau Le Parfum. Both fragrances share that addictive core of creamy coconut and powdery iris, but Fame Couture feels like a more refined, 'airy' version. Interestingly, they also both rely on a sandalwood base to provide that smooth, milky woodiness in the dry down. While Le Beau leans into a denser, club-ready sweetness with tonka bean, Fame Couture uses incense and wolfwood to give it a slightly more sophisticated, mysterious edge that wears perfectly on a man. It's essentially a high-end, unisex take on that tropical-iris profile. If it weren't just a little bit sweeter than I usually like, it would be perfect. It has everything: quality, projection, and great performance. The iris is incredible, and the whole scent is very balanced; even the coconut is smooth and stays subtly in the background.

This was my birthday present 🎁 💝💝🎈It is like the intense version with added iris - it's juicy mango like in the original, vanilla like in the intense version and iris like in LVEB iris or Elie Saab Elixir. The iris is very noticeable at the start but later it fades completely. I get also a praline note, not just vanilla. Similar vibe as LVEB. It basically smells like chocolate 🍫 with 🥭 fruity filling. Or like a chocolate dessert with mango puree. Very festive and winterly gourmand ❄️. It's a sweet bomb - toothachingly sweet 🧁 but fades pretty quickly. U pay mainly for the bottle and packaging - the juice inside is rather weak. Too bad as I love the smell and consider it the best and most refined version of the Fame line so far. Love the packaging and the bottle as well, very sturdy and heavy, good quality and cuter than a Labubu 🩷💝 btw. if u're interested what's underneath the fur coat - it's the same sequins dress as at the other versions but the sequins are not painted in any color.

Tested today in store, so these are my first thoughts on Fame Couture. The bottle design is hideous in my opinion, but the juice inside is really nice. That said, if you’re into iris, vanilla and incense. This is one of those scents that smells like you would expect when looking at the notes listed. The opening is very much dry, powdered, lipsticky iris, so not my cup of tea. I am warming up towards iris in fragrances, thanks to Infusion d’Iris, but I am not there yet. But the dry down is beautiful: a warm, slightly incensy vanilla, a bit sweet and a bit powdery from the iris. If this sounds like something you’d like, it’s a nicely done designer fragrance with moderate longevity and sillage. The bottle though is super tacky, with that fake, black fur around the golden, shiny bottle. Nice iris vanilla scent, horrendous bottle, slightly overpriced. That’s Fame Couture for you in a nutshell! I’ll pass, I just can’t with these bottle..

So pretty, creamy, smoky and well-rounded. I immediately thought of of lipstick smell, and Salvatore Ferragamos Signorina Misteriosa, but when I smelled them side by side they are different, however in terms of "vibe" or personality Fame couture is the mom and SM is the daughter. Why do we have to love perfumes so much and why do they have to be so expensive? I want this so bad now. 😭and the worse part is that its hard to find and pretty sure it will be discontinued because they always do that to the great ones! 😡 + unfortunately, on my skin, it totally disappears in 2 hours.

My absolute favourite out of the Fame line. This fragrance is so well blended and smooth. I immediately picked up on the vanilla and iris- which are the most dominant notes in the fragrance to me while the incense is like a warm bed they’re sitting on. There’s almost a slightly fruity hint to it when worn by some people- for example, my coworker loves this too but it smells slightly more fruity on her and powdery on me. I’m all over this stuff.

Very nice! I still get the Fame creamy mango after the large dose of iris subsides. This smells, classy, a little leathery in the beginning when it still has that irisy makeupy vibe but with more oomph. It's the best in the Fame lineup that I've tried (haven't tried the parfum.) The little robot in the fur coat is just adorable. Comes in a metal case with a sliding door. Picked this up with Ulta points and a 20% off and consider this a win.

I wrote only two reviews, that Guerlain Oud Yuzu is the worst smell i have ever tryed and that Paco Rabanne Fame Parfum (black one) was the love for the first smell. However after year I cheated my Fame Parfum with this Fame coture, it is such luxurious, classy smell (totaly different from other Fame parfunes) with iris and vanila that i couldnt resist and had to have it.

What a divine and luxurious scent! I pickup the creamy incense at first and the vanilla is beautiful and light not sickening or heavy, just a touch of it along with the amber florals throughout.

OBSESSED. I LOVE the powdery/smoky vibe to it and obviously the gorgeous bottle. Only wish it lasted longer.

I bought it for the bottle. Relieved it wasn’t a bad scent. I was hoping it’d be more unique, especially since when I think of couture fashion, it’s more out of the ordinary and elevated. I was expecting darker and richer notes, but this actually turned out to be a soft and airy, fruity fragrance, so I was taken aback. I can’t figure out what it reminds me of, but it’s like Black Opium without the coffee, Britney’s Spears’ Prerogative, BBW Into the Night, Dolce and Gabbana The Only One—something along those lines, with a hint of the OG—but more watered down. On me it doesn’t project; it doesn’t have the potency I was expecting, but I still like it. It’s wearable and inoffensive enough. Yup, I’m stuck with the bottle, but I’m good with that. What can I say? She’s extra and giving the most.

The bottle is a piece of art and in the fur jacket a joy for winter. The scent however is universal. I feel coconut water, iris, vanilla and musk with a very light floral tinge and woody finish. Incense also adds dimention. Soft and hinting at powder, rather warm but light. I catch wafts of it for many hours and the sillage is up to my chin, so it won't offend anyone. I am o.k with its presence and longevity but it is on the gentle side. Ideally, it should be a bit stronger but it is good. Very modern, avoiding classical structure or type, neither a chypre that I always perceive as dated, though I like many, nor a fruitchouli. An interesting voice on the iris subject. I am happy with my Christmas gift.

SO different from the rest of the scents in the Fame family. I got some soft woodiness when testing but that isn't listed in the notes. It is very heavy on the iris which is what stopped me from fully loving it. However, this is such an amazing bottle design that I don't blame those who buy it just for the bottle! I was excited for this and didn't personally fall in love, but I can see this being a great purchase for many. Especially those who enjoy unique floral vanilla scents.

I got this perfume lowkey mostly for the bottle. It was a blind buy for me but I don't regret it. I haven't had an iris scent in my collection yet so this is a great addition. I would say it smells a lot like makeup but I kinda like the vibe of that. I would see this on a witch or a business woman.

A powdery iris that opens with a slightly edgy, smoky touch reminiscent of incense. As it settles over the hours, it softens into a smooth, sweet vanilla base with a hint of coconut water, adding a subtle creaminess.

To me this smells like iris, patchouli, and Fame. It doesn’t read as incense at all to me. You can definitely smell the mango vanilla Fame DNA in here. I’m undecided on whether I like it or not The bottle is cute, but difficult to spray! The coat just slips over the bottle, so it’s hard to get a good grip when you’re spraying because the hand holding the coat around the bottle keeps slipping upwards when you try to press down on the sprayer

Best bottle of the year for me! So cute! Update: Ok just got my bottle today, unsurprisingly it smells generic designerish sweet with some earthy notes that read like patchouli to me. A bit of lipsticky iris is detected, no incense whatsoever. Not my scent but the bottle is just too cute to let go

On my skin it opens with grandma's old lipstick which fades away in 5 minutes. Then I started to smell smoky/woody followed by the DNA of the original. It dries down to a musky wood, a bit generic. It has medium projection. Not a floral heavy perfume. It doesn't wow me. Projection: 4/10 Rating: 3/10

Vastly different than the original. Very woody, but not pleasantly woody, it smells kind of sour and musty. I love the original though, I'm afraid this one is not my vibe since it's not fruity at all. Sorry.

I love this! As an iris lover, I always seek to find a great iris frag! On day one, this wasn't very strong so I put it away for a week or so and came back to it. Now she has blossomed! It's warm powdery Iris, a mild type of smoky incense, and some very soft vanilla. It's pretty subdued and works well as a bedtime fragrance. It's in the same pale fluffiness as Celine Zou Zou but not the same frag at all...just soft like that. I think it will work well in the spring and fall. I don't think it smells like La Vie Este Belle Iris Absolu. I own that as well. The black fluffy fur coat on the bottle should be a creamy beige color or either a light lavender color to match the fragrance profile. The bottle doesn't match the fragrance at all. But it's really beautiful, I love this and I'm glad I blind bought it. I don't think it's worth the high price tag for a designer scent but maybe I paid for the fur coat. Lol.
