Fame Parfum

I am quite embarrassed to admit that I love this scent. Not because it is from Paco Rabanne, I am not a perfume snob, but because of the absolute ugliness of that bottle. I don’t think I can get past the tackiness of that unsightly bottle to allow myself to get one in my collection. The fragrance is really nice. I love the way that creamy mango note is blended smoothly with frankincense, benzoin, sandalwood, jasmine, pink pepper and patchouli. It’s not a groundbreaking scent but smells great if you’re looking for a relatively affordable mango scent for spring and summer nights. Can work even during fall thanks to the addition of warm frankincense and benzoin notes. The composition is wonderfully balanced, it’s sweet, but not sickly sweet, woody, warm and soft, floral with mild spicy touches. It’s a little different than most of the other designers have released recently for sure! I’ll give them props for that! But that hideous bottle... I just can’t!! Who approved that bottle?!? Without being disrespectful to blind people, was it someone who was blind??? I can’t believe that someone who sees that thing would consider it fitting for a perfume. It’s really ugly and tasteless. I rest my case.. Edit 10.05.24 I have tested Fame parfum side by side with Flowerbomb Tiger Lily, another recent mango focused perfume and I do love Fame Parfum better. I will get a bottle eventually...

I agree when people say “this is what I wanted the original fame to be”! The original one was juicy and delicious but way too light for me considering that I live in a country with the Baltic see and that’s quite cold / rainy and nasty most of the months here. Perhaps if I lived in the Latin America or at least southern Europe I could enjoy the original one better, but buying it for the short summer out here is not worth it. When I got a sample I was really impressed. They say if you close your eyes sniffing a perfume and you really enjoy it with your full breath then it’s your type of scent. I get this delicious dominant mango accord that is bathing in sensual woods and creamy incense which I absolutely love in fall/winter time type of fragrances. I am not fond of patchouli and musks but they are not overpowering here, I guess they were used to extend the longevity. The bergamot gives this scent some freshness when you spray it and I think it was a nice choice to add it here. I would definitely enjoy wearing this scent, and I can recommend it, because it’s lovely and nicely composed.

After almost a year since I got my nose on Fame Parfum and fell instantly in love with how addictive this mango perfume smells, I finally caved today and bought a 50 ml bottle! I won’t have this hideous bottle on display anywhere, let’s be clear, I still can’t believe someone from Rabanne team thought it is a good idea to use this tackiness as a perfume bottle, but after trying the perfume in store again, I couldn’t leave without it... To me, it’s a sweet, warm, soft spicy, woody, incensy, gourmand, tropical fruity perfume with a gorgeous jasmine/floral heart. It’s probably nothing earth shattering unique, but I am in a phase where I am loving mango perfumes again. I was obsessed last two years with mango perfumes and turns out I am still very much enjoying them! I got my bottle on a great deal and even though I can’t stand how ugly, lightweight and cheap it looks and feels in hand, I love how beautiful the scent is! From this perspective, I wished I had liked better Flowerbomb Tiger Lilly, because that Viktor&Rolf bottle concept is iconic, but as perfume, Fame Parfum has my heart...

I’m so glad I finally picked up a travel spray of this fragrance. I love the original Fame, I took it with me on vacation last summer and I have beautiful scent memories associated with it. The original is fresh and juicy with a strong sillage and impressive longevity. This is quite literally a deeper version of the original. The patchouli and frankincense are blended beautifully with the juicy mango & jasmine. It’s definitely giving summertime femme fatale vibes. If you thought the original was too similar to a Bath and Body Works mist, you’ll love this flanker because there’s no mistaking this for a body spray. This is for grown women 24+. All that being said, my husband is used to my perfumes constantly changing and he rarely comments on them but he complimented this one immediately when he got home from work after I had been wearing it for several hours. I couldn’t recommend it more and I know I’m going to end up with a bottle even though I have a 90ml of alien goddess and Idole aura on my dresser in preparation for summer. 10/10.

I really enjoy this perfume so far. It’s a mix of tropical and woody, just like it says. For some reason, it reminds me and my mom of Cool Water for women, like circa 95. But more of an updated, much less aquatic version. We loved Cool Water back in the day, so this is definitely a top pick. The tropical aspects make it seem like a great spring/summer scent, but the woody aspect makes it something you could absolutely wear on a date night or during the winter. I’m really happy about this one Edit: I forgot to mention my thoughts on the bottle and longevity! In the pictures, I wasn’t really sure what to expect regarding the bottle. It looked kind of cute, but also kiiiind of tacky. In person it is actually incredibly adorable to me. It feels like a very sturdy bottle, and just adds a fun flair (flare?) to my perfume collection. Longevity has definitely lived up to the votes on fragrantica, too. Dry down is more powdery than the initial notes, but that seemed to happen after 12+ hours. It’s still a lovely scent all the way through

Paco Rabanne Fame Parfum: 🗣This Is What I Really Thought/Wanted The Original Fame Edp To Be/Smell Like!! This is just "GORGEOUS" to me, and boyzo does it really last too on my skin!! This is what I thought the original Fame would smell like!! Not that there's anything wrong with the original, it's just somewhat lighter, and perfectly suited now to Spring/Summer - Warmer Weather Use, where as this one is more heavier/denser and more suited to Autumn/Winter - Cold Weather/Evening Usage etc!! I like how both these Fame fragrances smell on my skin, but it's the way that this one dries down to a really nice creamy amber aroma, which I really like, plus it really lasts a good 14+ hours from two squirts!! I also LOVE the female robot style bottles that always make me giggle and smile everytime I lift them to spray them on!! All in all I deffo feel good when I wear Fame Parfum!! Kinda up-lifted and sexy I guess!! 😍😘💕💗💗💗

This fragrance is perfect! I got a travel size of the original and toyed with the idea of getting a full size, and when I went to Macy’s to possibly buy a full size of the original, I saw the Parfum and immediately fell in love with how it dried down on the skin! I love the frankincense in the original (albeit subtle) and this one has all of the smoky qualities of the original on an even larger scale. I think this one is blended so well and serves as better signature of the two Fame releases in my collection because it’s just a perfect amount of every timbre a fragrance can be: fruity, smoky, woody, sweet, slightly floral, fresh, etc... And the bottle is literally the cutest one in my collection (the infamous Rabanne paillette/sequin dress on a gold robot with cowboy boots and sunglasses where the fragrance comes out?? I mean???!!!)

Firstly tested it during summer and it was really love for the first smell (dare to say that it was the second best smell in my life (after Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming)). Bought it later on at the beginning of December and have no regrets at all. Seems like I found my signature perfume after years of searching. It works perfectly with my skin and silage is also amazing (lasts from morning till I get back home from work). For me, as it is more heavier smell, it is more suitable for winter/spring/autumn day/night. The development of the smell is also nice, whole time I can smell nice mango which changes over time, firstly mango-bergamot-musk, secondly mango - white flowers-musk, and at the end mango with musk and sandalwood.

I got my hands on this it seems pretty early but this is a very nice entry from Paco Rabanne. The original is more mango based where this still has a fruit aspect but based itself more on spicy creaminess. I could see this on either men or women. The performance was surprisingly really nice on me! Much stronger than original fame and had a few people compliment it. Don’t listen to the hate or bad reviews, at least give it a chance. Also I’d add it does still come across with a tropical feel but would work super well in most seasons. Wouldn’t say it’s a blind buy but it’s pretty easy to love/like but give it a sniff.

This is such a beautiful scent. At the start the incense along with the mango is very intense. This is one of the perfumes that a little goes a long way! It's very strong. But in a pretty way, not overbearing, but it can get there. I will give this perfume probably 2 to 3 sprays max. As it dries down the incense becomes smoother and the musk starts to become a little more prominent along with the flowers and fruits. Definitely something you should add to your collection. I consider this a beautiful nighttime sexy fragrance for the summer. For fall/winter this is more of a daytime scent that could extend to spring.

Original Fame has mango. Parfum does not. I don’t know where Frangrantica gets their notes from. The Rabanne website and the insert with the perfume itself only lists incense, musk, and jasmine at the base. While I’m annoyed that everyone is smelling notes that aren’t listed on the actual product, I have to say that I absolutely love this fragrance. It does incense in a very sweet way that doesn’t smell dated. I’ll forget that I have this on, and then move my arm and wonder where that great smell is coming from, only to realize it’s my wrist. On ME, there’s almost no projection, but tons of sillage. Love it!!!

I bought a Rabanne minis set and didn't think I would love this because the bottle is tacky but have grown to really love this, my favorite of the bunch. The set came with the Fame Eau de Toilette as well and that one compared to this one is a scrubber. It's a lighter, less long lasting not as pungent or tropical version of this one. Wow this one is hefty and pretty long lasting sweet mango and coconut. Perfect for the upcoming summer, I feel like you can't go wrong with this one, no sharp edges, sweet but not too sweet, and so juicy and fruity. Even the bottle has grown on me ♡

I have the starter FAME and enjoy it. I opted for just the travel spray in that and I’m glad. Original fame has Much smoother mango there less woods. However it reminded me too much of Alien Goddess and how it also was lackluster. Then they did the intense of that and I adore that. Then. This!!! The Parfum. Omg this is magic. The black bottle dress is also way cooler. This is heavily patchouli in start and warmer woods. This lasts and lasts. Fills up the space you’re in as well. Just a perfect flanker. This is the one to start with and own if you ask me!

I’m not a fan of the original fame. I found it to be a bit screechy and sharp. I was shocked during this one that it’s so sweet and creamy and pleasant. I was even more surprised that the mango note lasted all day. Fame Parfum takes really the best parts of what Fame should have been and amps them up, also removing all the bad parts of the original Fame. This fragrance is rather simple and maybe even common in construction when looking at the notes and other mango jasmine or tropical jasmine fragrance released, but this does it so well.

I adore this fragrance. I liked the OG Fame but it was so weak. I waited because I thought they'd bring out a stronger version. I recieved a sample and fell in love. It's the first fragrance I have paid full price for and didn't wait for grey stock since I bought Miss Dior Cherie back in 2009. I often layer it with Dolce Garden. The creamy but sweet mango and the somewhat boozy Coconut together are Devine. I like to wear it on it's own but Garden makes it sultry and less sweet. Sexy on a humid night.

I don't wear this often, but this perfume's just perfection. A projects, so good in once of warms up, it's end game it works so good with my body chemistry, and I get so many compliments on it, and it just lasts forever and it is the most beautiful. Also, it's just so beautiful. It's an instant teleportation to an island of sexiness perfect all year round. I prefer around winter because it just gives you that moment of sun if that makes any sense totally recommend it ten out of ten

Had to get a full bottle after trying a sample. The mango opening with the woody dry down is so intoxicating. The EDP is sweeter with a noticeable vanilla note while the parfum is more woody. I prefer the parfum but both are beautiful. Both have moderate longevity and sillage, I was hoping the parfum would be more long lasting. I actually love the bottle too and how it looks different from most of my other fragrances.

"8 My boyfriend - Initial spray is nothing special, once dried it becomes a very addictive floral/tropical scent and i love it :^) - cant stop smelling, might have to buy this for my girlfriend one day - weak longevity as after 2 hours it was faint" 7.5 Me - Mango heavy, dries down into a beautiful addictive amber floral scent. Would rate higher but it is slightly missing something, maybe performance.

This perfume smells amazing. The frankincense and jasmine is very pronounced along with the fruit. So it's definitely feminine, very grown woman. This perform can be worn anytime, you can wear it all year, day or night; but I bought this to have a summer nighttime scent. It's very sexy enough for night wear. The sillage is strong, do not spray too much. Please!! And it lasts for several hours.

Oh how I love this! I love the OG which is mostly mango & vanilla on me. This version the has amped up jasmine and the sandalwood is definitely more noticeable. I can detect a tiny bit of patchouli that adds a touch of spice. Lasts forever on me and I highly recommend! The only thing I'm disappointed in is that my bottle isn’t black, it’s just clear. I guess because it’s the 1oz? Oh well 🤷🏼♀️

First I hated the original one but I started to like that one after a while. The original one has zero longevity, it’s just like a body mist. I tried this perfume and I instantly fell in love. It’s so good! The mango is juicy and it’s a bit darker and smokier than the original Fame. It has better longevity and smells divine! I think it can be used all year long and every occasion. So good!

I love it. Like a lot of perfumes, I’d like to know where Fragrantica got their info. The packaging my sample came in lists Jasmine, Incense, and Musk as the notes. I don’t smell mango. To me, it smells exactly like the inside of a Sephora. All the pretty smells rolled into a perfume. It gives me the same thrill of going into the store and treating myself to something special. So pretty!

@Melissa_T my 1oz bottle of the Parfum is clear just like my 1oz EdP. The bottles up in the pictures are the 4ml mini's. I thought my 1 oz bottle was going to be black as well, but it is identical to the 1 oz EdP. The only way to tell the difference visually is that the Parfum has a more ambery colored Jus. :)

I really enjoy this. It’s creamy and fruity and warm. The mango note is strong, and it’s just ripe. I get a sweet creamy sensation from the benzoin and jasmine with a beautiful sandalwood base. I prefer this to the OG. Moderate longevity and projection. I find the flacon a little silly, but the juice is good.

I tested this on my skin at the store today and really liked it. I was surprised to see the notes because to me it smells like a woodsy creamy coconut vanilla. I barely get a hint of mango from it. Definitely giving tropical summer vibes for me, and the wood and spice keep it from coming off too juvenile.

this is probably the most interesting fragrance i’ve ever smelled! it’s fruity but warm but perfect for summer but sweet but realistic. it’s all sorts of things! i never thought i’d like paco rabanne but this really surprised me lol. definitely gonna save up for it! it’s so pleasing

The opening is a sweet creamy tropical blend, bold yet uplifting As it settls in the skin the mango starts coming through and it smelss really juicy and natural The dry down i can smell the white floral accord Overall it's a nice perfume and the lasting power is not bad at all

Mi mango favorito, tiene una duración increíble en la piel. Imponente, femenino, frutal, maduro, me encanta! Siento que queda mejor usarlo para una salida en la noche y con un par de spray es suficiente para que te sientan. Definitivamente uno de mis favoritos.

I love this perfume, it's one of my favourites. It's my go-to fragrance for evening events year round. It's extremely long lasting; I will still smell it the next day until I've taken a shower and sometimes even after that too!

Sweet and warm, a ripe mango lassi surrounded by woods. The jasmine is not animalic and makes this nice for cool spring days and warm summer nights. Moderate longevity and projection.

I'm a straight guy and and I love to wear this to night outs here in Brazil. It's very feminine, but if you rock it confidently you'll get many compliments.

This one is a good and sexy warm floral scent! Not groundbreaking - but not everything needs to be so. It projects very well. The bottle is lovely.

I also got a beautiful sample and card of this in the mail. The notes listed were: Jasmine, Frankincense and Musk. I was excited to try it as I love Jasmine and Frankincense, however upon spraying it, I could immediately detect some weird fruity tropical notes listed here. It was during a hot and humid day. Some of the notes just mix with the others in a weird way which made me get that cloying feeling. Kinda reminds me of Crystal Noir, with mango instead of coconut. Maybe it's the mango mixed with something else. Unfortunately the mango note gave me the same bug spray effect. Would be good if they didn't mix up so many different notes. Bit of a mess imo. Really wanted to enjoy this, just like Crystal Noir, but unfortunately just doesn't work with my skin chemistry. I'll stick with Alien for Jasmine scents, and other darker fragrances for Frankincense. Update: last night it was a really nice cool night, and I tried it again. I just sprayed it on without thinking, and forgot about it. Then I was lying in bed watching movies all night, and suddenly thought "what was that delicious smell?" Then I remembered it was me. I could definitely smell the juicey mango this time, some vanilla and Frankincense. This was so many hours later. So it's definitely a "cool spring or summer night" fragrance rather than for hot, humid days. One thing I hate is the ugly bottle though. I'll use up my sample, and would buy a smaller decant of it, but definitely not FBW for me 🥭 ✨

I'll start by saying that this, the Parfum in the black bottle, is the sexy one. The Eau de Parfum in the white bottle is a little more bright and fresh. This is quite woody, but it mostly smells like jucy mango. The two go quite well together. The Jasmine, in this case, doesn't smell Alienesque or creamily Alien Goddessesque; it's behaving a little more like orange blossom in this, which I like. The benzoin is warm and comforting. The Patchouli isn't annoying me like it does in all the Miss Dior fruitachoulis. I do like Flower Bomb and her flankers, so I'm not a fruitachouli hater. Despite the mango dominance, it doesn't quite give me tropical vibes. It gives me sexy evening date vibes. I don't find it soapy or powdery either. Again, I don't know what else to say but that this is so sexy and alluring, like, I'm imagining wearing stilleto heels and a skirt that comes above the knee and you could seduce every man in proximity into to fighting over you just to turn them all down, and now every woman in town hates your guts because you caught the attention of their man, too, but what do you care, because you end up marrying a rich old guy, and now they all kiss your ass.

Gotten this as a sample and I own the OG Fame and not really feeling that one and I’m also not feeling this one either. As I smell them both side by side — I will say, this one is more richer and has alot more depth than the original. Both still leans towards masculine on my body chemistry. I get some sort of spice with this flanker. If you’re a fan of the original but feel it may be lacking and isn’t intense enough, this may be your winner. Edit: Sprayed this while outside to get my cousins opinion and it smells very different. Maybe the fresh air did something but my opinion about this being Masculine had changed because this actually smells nice. I don’t think I’ll commit to a bigger bottle of this but this doesn’t smell as bad as I initially thought when I gave my first opinion. But, this is more intense than the OG. (may have to revise my OG review)

Wearing this today to test a sample I got. My overall impression is of a creamy, mildly sweet, jasmine fragrance. I wouldn't call it tropical and the only notes I can really detect are the jasmine, benzoin (vanilla-esque), sandalwood and musk. Although patchouli is listed I can't detect it at all and I am sensitive and somewhat averse to that note. Sadly I can't smell the mango either, just a creamy nondescript sweetness. I applied about 4 hours ago and I can only detect a mild but pleasant dry down that is a faint combination of the main notes I mentioned above. It's a nice scent but surprisingly mild and not long-lasting for a parfum. I'll happily finish my sample but wouldn't buy a full bottle. I think this is a safe buy if you like mass appealing sweet-leaning (but not full-on gourmand), musky, non-indolic jasmine fragrances.

this one opens so nicely with Mango, the Bergamot is well mixed into it and with the Pink Pepper just slightly more in the background but there is peppery, this is really a nice opening. the Patchouli is perfect used for to bring depth into the frag and nothing more, the same is done with the White Musk and is nice silky and powdery but not over the top as to many frags these days. there is some fruitiness into it, its a mix between flowers and fruit and its very well balanced and the Sandalwood kicks in after the opening. its a nice fresh warm feminine scent with the Mango at the foreground and the peel of the mango can be found as well, now thats a nice touch. overall I really liked this one!

This is soooo fun sexy juicy but also very grown at the same time. Doesn’t read as a childish syrup.. more like a tropical mango cocktail you’re having on your first vacation by yourself. Fruity, addictive, a bit floral, and just for you.. with one of those little wooden umbrellas in the drink and all lol. Might need to pick up a full bottle for summer because I already know this will be AMAZING in that California heat Edit: wait a minuteeeee. It’s actually very jasmine forward as well. I get that delicious juicy vibe for about 30 minutes before it basically only smells like jasmine with mango in the background on me.. aweee :/

Super powerful, strong perfume maybe because I live in a very humid and hot area, but I cannot wear more than two sprays of this even two is pushing it. This reminds me of the TikTok trend of girl boss perfumes. I’m not really into such things, but it’s just such an overpowering, strong, feminine and powerful composition. Despite me not really liking these types of perfumes, I do recognize the social influence. so whenever I feel like I want to be complimented or I want to be the center of attention I will wear this

The tropical note may not trick you. I think this is a fall/winter/date-appropriate perfume. It is very attractive and powerful. Very long lasting, hangs in clothes for days. There is no honey in the notes, but I feel it. So many people asked me when I wear it. Even though it has musk, do not expect a clean girl scent. It is also a bit smoky. My only complain is the bottle as so many people said.

I have mixed feelings about this perfume. I sprayed it on a piece of paper and on my bra. For some reason on the paper it smells very masculine, very woody, so I didn’t like it. But then I smelled my bra and it smells feminine. On my bra it smells beachy like coconut, although it doesn’t have any coconut notes, but it smells tropical and balsamic. I like it and I probably will buy it.

Provei o Fame Intense na loja e resolvi aproveitar uma promoção online do Fame Parfum no blind mesmo. Não me arrependo. É bem cheiro de juventude noturna, balada tropical, doce e sensual. O patchouli, a manga e o dulçor no geral foram predominantes na minha pele, e acho que isso o deixa pesado demais para noites quentes. Importante dizer que é bem bombinha, irradia e dura bastante!
