Invictus Intense

I have never done a review on men fragrances, but my God I now think I need to start. On Friday I was shopping with a friend as we both needed to treat ourselves to a little bit of TLC when I saw this little trophy like gem on display. After sampling about 5 different brands (Dior, Chanel, Boss, etc) I picked it up and after one spray I knew this was the one. @netan.el I very much agree a masterpiece! Smells so so amazing. Literally made me think of ripping a hot guys clothes off! I said to my friend "this is sex in a bottle". LoL. Invictus intense is indeed a euphoric fragrance. Much more intense than the original, woodier, slightly fresh but also warm. After my shower at night, when I woke up I could still smell this on my wrist where I had sampled it. I think people need to start being more open to fragrances and stop limiting everything to the hype around a product, or a particular age group people always seem to have in mind. I believe if a fragrance smells good and works with your body chemistry why not give it a try? You could end up missing out on a new favourite due to preconceived perceptions just like reviewer @Zenais86 said. Gentlemen definitely try this out and have a honest opinion. Don't quickly sample it and be done. Give it a little time to develop, linger throughout the day on your skin and then really decide if you dislike or like it. This fragrance will be a big complimenter getter and it'll be so refreshing to smell something new on a man than Paco Rabanne One Million or Chanel Blue. I personally don't see this perfume as a unisex fragrance as I feel it's way too strong for me to pull off, but that is my individual preference and a woman who is very very confident and enjoys strong man-eater perfumes could rock this. I tried a sample vial of Invictus intense over the holidays (about two applications) and my first impression was a strong similarity to Burberry Brit Rhythm intense. I'm surprised to see only one other reviewer who mentions this! I own the Burberry, and I actually like this slightly better. It seems a bit more subtle and dignified than the rhythm intense. However, whereas the BBRI performance is fairly beast and lasts all day and night, this seems a little weak by comparison. I expect a bit more longevity from a frag labeled 'intense'. This might actually have been the fault of the cheap little sprayer they put on their sample vials (a nice idea, but poorly executed in my opinion). So the jury is still out on this one. If I can get my hands on a legit tester, I might be able to apply it normally, and it might in turn perform better. We'll see..... Update: I finally had the opportunity to try this frag from a legit tester, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the scent much more complex and Fuller than it was from the sample vial, it also had much better projection and longevity. I'd also revise my opinion about it's similarity to Burberry Britt rythm intense. While there are some similarities, i find it's much closer to azzaro wanted. But where the azzaro has an almost overpowering sweetness, the Invictus intense is much more balanced. The azzaro also comes on super strong. I found it almost cloying. So between these two, I'd recommend the Invictus intense. Too bad it's priced a bit higher than the azzaro! Time to start saving......

Paco Rabanne Invictus Intense I feel is wrongly disliked. Granted if you don;'t like the original Invictus, you will not like this one and if you like the original Invictus, you may not like this one. Invictus Intense takes Invictus and adds in a whiskey note. Invictus Intense removes citrus common in Invitus and its flankers to this point as an actual note, how ever you still get the feel of the original. I think hedonine is in the fragrance but it isn't listed as a note. In the mid you get bay leaf, a slight note in the open of the original but it is dominated by the whiskey note. The base is sea salt which I sware you can tell in the open, amber and ambergris which continue to give it a handhold into Invictus. Invictus Intense is far more cold weather than Invictus. This is made for the guy who wears Invictus in the warmer weather but wanted something similar for colder weather. Or the guy who wore Invictus for a bottle or two but wants something slightly different. Invictus Intense will work for nights out, work, casual and dates. It is a crowd pleaser like the rest of the line has been. Just know the whiskey note might put a few people off. Invictus Intense performs really good. I can get about 10/12 hours from it. It will project really good for about two hours as well. I love Invictus Intense and I must say it replaces the original's importance to have. Then again I do have like two or so clones of it. That said the whiskey and spices set it in its own place. I rate it a 9.1 out of 10, nearly entering my top 5.

Personally, I'm a fan of the whole sweet and salty vibe with food so I can say I was already partial towards this fragrance. I blind bought this 2 days ago and today is my first full wearing - It's quickly become a favorite already. I've seen the negative reviews as well as the positive but it has this smooth and super sexy aroma. I wore this to work with no regrets as it's not loud but it stays if that makes sense. The boozy note does mix well with the sea salt and come together on top of the amber. To my nose, the "bubblegum" note isn't there as with the original which made the scent seem juvenile in a way. Invictus Intense isn't just about a more powerful version of the original but a play on the Allure that the original doesn't have. Same DNA but a different scent. This is worth a try IMO or a full wearing at least. I did 4 sprays about 3 hours past and I'm still going strong and can get whiffs of this as I move so I know there's a nice scent trail that follows me :) That's always nice lol Rating - 9/10 Seasons - All, I expect this to smell different in each. Longevity - 9/10 Sillage - Depends on how much you spray, I wouldn't go past 5 and that's in the Winter.

This is one of my hate or love it frag... sometimes I hate the sweetness and yet sometimes I would love this engulfing sweetness that permeates from this Invictus version. It opens with peppery smell and very little whiskey and gave way to ambery-vanilla sweetness all the way till it turns to salty-ambery-musky skinscent after 14hrs. Am no frag expert but somehow I could smell similarities between this and Versace Eros Flame, probably it was the familiar tonka bean BUT I did not see this ingredient listed here! I definitely could not smell so much of whiskey but what I could smell is VANILLA and yet its not listed here as well... If I were to compare Eros Flame and Invictus Intense, the latter has more masculine smell not too much sweetness and Invictus Intense is the winner. This one definitely my go-to office scent, it projects well but not nauseating, with 10hrs plus sillage and great skinscent that lasts 16hrs (if go without shower). Strongly smells similar to Eros Flame & YSL L'Homme according to my nose ;)

Invictus Intense is an amber, spicy, woody and slightly salty fragrance. This fragrance does not have the original bubblegum opening, it is more spicy and floral, but what stands out from the first few minutes is an amber accord. As the minutes go by, the characteristic laurel note of the first versions is perceived, as well as a salty chord, but with amber always present, as well as a slight liquorous note. Once it reaches its drying phase, a synthetic but pleasant base of woods, amber and spices remains. This version is not summery or spring like the original or the Aqua versions, rather it tends to be used in autumn and winter due to the load of spices and amber, or to be used on nights out. Its longevity is very good, at least the batch I have lasts about 12 hours. with regular sillage. I think over the years I've gotten more of a like for this version, because when it was first released I liked it less, and now it's harder to get. I could say that this is the mature version of Invictus.

Until today, I had only smelled this in the store and the opening smells nothing like the original invictus. Reviews comparing the two had me puzzled and now that I've worn both I'm even more confused. This frag is not fruity, as the nut below me describes. it also is in no way just an intense version of the og. the whiskey note is very prominent and it is delicious. there is no bubblegum here and it's not aquatic! It's warm, boozey sweetness that clings to your shirt well into the following day. My skin holds this scent for 6-8 hours easily and it clings to your clothes for days. those who claim performance is weak need to get their noses checked. I find this to be a perfect pivot for those who are tired of 'freshies,' it's sweet and pleasant but not in a blue kind of way. Quickly becoming one of my favorite grabs and it's pulling compliments like crazy. the trail this leaves is amazing. Wonderful scent with good performance, easily my favorite from invictus.

Saw some videos on Youtube about intense smelling better than the original but not having a great longevity. I call b.s. on that one, maybe it’s olfactory fatigue or their skin is dry or their chemistry is just not good with intense. I use this here in a Manila, a very hot and humid place where fragrance usually doesn’t last, but this one have a great chemistry on me and could last a whole night of gambling in the casino. I usually wear this at night and the original during daytime Don’t believe everything you hear from Youtubers, some of them are awesome, but many of them have been given free colognes(Parfums Vintage) and give them great reviews. Why would you give a company a bad review when it’s sending you a monthly supply of everything that comes out from their company. I don’t dislike Parfums Vintage. i just don’t like them flooding Youtubers with their free parfums. Sorry if I digress from Paco Rabanne Intense. It has a great longevity period.

Best perfume I've ever owned! It's the epitome of manliness and cleanliness. Begins with a powerful scent of pungent pepper then transitions into a sweet yet light citrusy composition with a perceptible background of whiskey or fresh bourbon stored in an old oak barrel. Invictus Intense is perfectly balanced, stays firmly in your skin for no less than seven straight hours with just one or two sprays, is an instant compliment-getter, and can be extremely versatile for either casual or formal meetings, day or night. Wouldn't use it during the hottest months of the year (too heavy) but does work well the rest of the year, particularly in cool weather. Recommended for confident extroverted men between the ages 30-45. Buy it and wear it proudly, it's an excellent choice!

I had it, i sold it. Now i found it dirt cheap for 30 Bucks. Which is cool. I kinda got a lot of compliments on this and i found it to be very sweet and salty, i have to say its better than the Legend. If u put all Invictus together u get this, and its a nice different twist on the original. But if i have to say which is the best i have to say still the original is the best, because its such a great mix between sea notes and bubblegum. This perfume kinda has the same smell in the air but still goes a darker path its more mysterious. Im somebody who really looks for compliments and i got a lot with this. up close its not the best thing but in the air i can clearly say its very good, its kinda caramel mixed with saltiness.

Invictus Intense is the best of the bunch. Intense projects an extremely sensual, clean, sweet, salty, and slightly fruity aroma off the skin. The projected scent smells significantly better and more complex than what you smell on your skin. Don't believe all the negative hype about Invictus Intense, stating synthetic this and/or generic that. This flanker is a winner and a major crowd pleaser! Paco Rabanne did an excellent job formulating this appealing and easy to like flanker. Definitely get your nose of this flanker if you liked the other variants. Intense is excellent for all season, and temperatures, and situations. Overall: 8/10

I really like this. Found in the back of my dad's wardrobe 80% full. My dad doesn't remember buying it but I assume he bought it in the mid-2010s. Very unique fragrance to me it smells like a mossy sea rock with salty butter popcorn slapped on top. Ik it sounds strange but it is blended so well it is almost niche quality imo. Nice intimate scent with decent longevity. (5-6 hours on my skin). Good for date nights and also the office or school imo even though it's not a "blue" fragrance. Scent - 9/10 Longevity - 7.5 Projection - 7/10

this is amazing. Fresh and sweet but in the most complex way possible, this could easily be sold in a niche bottle. It has an orangey freshness without the zest + a very mineralic saltiness and its not like the saltiness you would get in DG light blue or ADG profondo, its like a stoney type of saltiness + a mouth watering whiskey note. Overall the smell you would get is a smoky watermelon thats on fire on a bed of orange blossoms with clumps of raw salt and black pepper sprinkled on it. Its one of my most complimented aswell.

This is good but it's not quite as good as the original. The original Invictus is a masterpiece in my opinion. This is a daring fragrance with the whiskey note. It is a darker version of the original and they nailed it spot on in terms of making an intense version of Invictus. This is a great party fragrance I would say but it's not as artistic as the original. This one is a little more straight forward and bold. I get almost a grape vibe from this and it smells great. A for sure crowd pleaser. I give this a 9.4/10

A true masterpiece. Very salty, masculine and marine like smell. It's rich/sweet for about an hour. After that, it settles in this gorgeous dominant, strong ambergris scent. The longevity is amazing, I still smell it on my skin after 12 hours. Sillage is very good, it radiates enormously for about 2-3 hours, then decreases slowly into an skin scent. I absolutely love the power of this cologne. One of my favorite all-season fragrances! Tip: smell or test it out before you buy, it may be too strong or sweet for you.

I've seen some comments about this being weak... say what??? Maybe it's because I had a bottle from the release period of this fragrance, but this one was intense for me in every sense of the world. It would project for hours... I was in a boozy Invictus scent bubble for hours. I'd put it on (2-3 sprays - one on skin, couple on shirt) and go to bed.. smelling it strong the next morning. Very potent juice. I truly enjoyed using this when I owned it. I hope it hasn't been re-formulated. This one was/is a gem!!

I’m a bit surprised to see a rating of around 3.69 for Invictus Intense. This one has some major staying power, as an Intense version should. But this fragrance has an amazing effect of you wanting to smell it more and more. It’s alluring, seductive, sweet/boozy, and with strong projection and longevity. 2-3 sprays is all you need and you will be in a scent bubble for at least 4 hours. This has to last 8 hours before becoming a skin scent. Lasts on clothes for days. My wife really likes it, an added bonus.

Sweet with a hint of darkness. Amazing longevity and sillage. 1 bad thing is that I wish the whiskey note was more noticeable but even with very little of it this is a great frag. Is it refined? Hell no! Is it synthetic? Hell Yes! Is it a compliment getter? Hell yes! This is not for the uptight suit and tie wall street guy, more for the young at hear free spirited guy who wears jeans and tees regularly. Perfect for 3 Seasons except for humid Summers.

frankly i think many people who voted hate on this didnt smell this out, i tried it...and i thought it was damn good, potent, sweet, fruity, little darker and different enough than the other two.id definitely complete my family of the three, it will be awesome for summers as well as winter nights, for youngsters and flirty people.nothing ground breaking and lil on the synthetic side..but crowd pleasure....8/10

One of my favorite perfumes. Fresh, salty, boozy and sweet with the amber. More mature from the original Invictus. Maybe the bottles of the line are a bit tacky but I don't mind. Not for summer and hot climates but for all other seasons it's great. Invictus Intense is long lasting and projects really good. It's a compliment getter for sure. The rating is going up lately where it deserves in my opinion.
