Invictus Parfum

An interesting take on the Invictus line. Somewhat what I was expecting here, but also very different. It's weird. One of my all time favorite frags is Invcitus Platinum, and I remember when I got that one, all I could smell was the sweet "bubblegum" vibe. As i wore it a few times, my nose opened up more to it and I could actually smell notes in it. Oddly enough, i just got this one in today, and yet again I'm met with a bubblegum sweet frag. I believe as time goes and I wear this, I'll have a similar experience. So to me, a lot of the comparisons here are as always, trash. This doesn't smell like Hawas, it doesn't smell like Scandal, i can see the comparison but the two are distinctly different, it doesn't smell like Y, it doesn't smell like Le Beau. How in the hell do you people continue to smell these things? They're not there. Lol. To me if I were going to make comparisons, for me this smells like Bad Boy Extreme, but if they made it for warmer weather, in the very opening i get a blast of Azzaro Most Wanted, but in a very different interpretation. The dry down of this fragrance though is rather unique I think. I have a couple of frags with this sort of profile to them (bad boy extreme, scandal parfum, Azzaro) but this one leans furthest into warmer weather i feel. The soapy musk sets it apart for me though enough to stand out by itself in my collection with no real comparison to anything else at the end of the day. Opening has a slightly aquatic vibe, mixing with the touch of lavender is nice, I don't quite understand the soapy note, atleast so far, it's not as soapy as it is musky and just clean. The sandalwood does stick out. These designer brands seem to use a very similar note, as this has it. As it dries it gets a very musky, slightly woody, kind of watery, soapy smell. it's just a nice all around smell. Longevity seems good, sillage seems good, all what I expect from the brand, which has done me well. Not much more to say, a good smell for relatively cheap, good in any weather, but I wouldn't wear this in insanely cold weather. Even then it's fine though. A great fragrance that I think will grow on me more and more.

When I first went to sephora, this was 1 of 3 colognes that I actually liked. Those colognes were Invictus Parfum, Ultra Male and YSL Y (I can't remember if it was edp or edp intense its been so long but I think it was EDP). However, something was different about this one that I liked from all the rest. It smelled smooth, and I couldn't describe it besides I just couldn't get enough. It smelled so good for no reason, I didn't understand it. I hated the entire azzaro line except for TMW which was mid, I absolutely despise every single valentino that they had when I went and the only valentino fragrances I have ever liked were OG uomo and uomo intense. I want to try extradose but I am afraid I won't like it either. But this fragrance didn't smell too sweet like every other fragrance, yet it still had a sweetness to it. It was clean and refreshing, it felt like if my nose was insanely thirsty and I got a fresh drink of cold water by smelling this. I can't describe it in any other way besides I am a D1 Invictus Parfum glazer and I am proud to be one. I haven't smelled it in a long time, but man I want this stuff. Definitely going to be my signature fragrance for the summer. I will write an update once I have purchased the fragrance and gotten a feel for it, I really hope it smells just as good as it did in store. I am very picky about my fragrances, and my tastes are according to my friend "horrendous", but he owns SWY Intensely, Le beau le parfum and an althair dupe, all of which I am not a big fan of so I will just stick to what fragrances make me happy. It is definitely expensive for me as I am only a teen and this fragrance costs as much as double my entire fragrance collection as I only have 2 fragrances that combine for a total of 65$. However, I think itll be worth it. Idc what ppl think I love this clean lavender woody smoothness.

Rabanne Invictus Parfum opens with a clean, modern sweetness that sits just behind bubblegum in intensity. The sweetness has a distinct grape-like character reminiscent of the nuance I noticed in the MYSLF line, while a subtle aquatic saltiness keeps it from becoming overly playful. It also reminds me of Y EDP in the way it pairs a pleasant synthetic sweetness with an aromatic edge, though it has its own identity. The opening is smooth, moderately airy, and immediately approachable. As it develops, a subtle spice and a sharp green note begin to emerge. The green facet has a similar feel to violet leaf without becoming gasoline-like, adding edge and contrast to the sweet, clean aquatic profile. These elements keep the fragrance from becoming one-dimensional, giving it more character while maintaining a smooth, medium-density texture. The drydown shifts toward a woody base while preserving much of the opening’s identity. The sweetness softens into an accent as the woods and musks become more prominent, but the green facets, clean soapy character, and salty aquatics remain present throughout. The result is a balanced woody finish that still feels connected to the opening rather than becoming a completely different fragrance. Overall, I really enjoyed this wear. While the fragrance is undeniably synthetic and sweet, it never becomes overbearing thanks to the contrast provided by the soapy, green, and aquatic elements. The drydown does a good job of maintaining parts of the opening while introducing woods and musks. My only criticism is that there may be almost too much contrast and too many ideas packed into one fragrance. It all works together, but narrowing the focus to one direction could have made it an even better fragrance. Even so, it’s a very enjoyable fragrance that works well as an easy anytime wear. Score: 8.0/10

Honestly a lovely fragrance. I got this as a sample when I bought my girlfriend's perfume, and fell in love immediately. My girl also loves aromatic scent, so this was definitely one of her favourites out of my collection. This starts off with blast of sweet, bubblegummy, fruity scent. I can definitely smell the marine notes and tiny bit of lavender off the top. Unfortunately, I cannot smell any sort of pepper, 0 spiciness. Then very dominant soap starts to shine as the time goes. This blends very well with that marine note and that delicious fruitiness. This is all backed by the muskiness that this fragrance has. When it fully dries down, the sweetness and soapiness dies down (still there though) and it's mostly musky powdery and woody scent. This fragrance is so creamy and nice, I can smell coconut/grapefruit in this fragrance. The soap in here is what makes this fragrance pleasant and mass appealing scent, but the muskiness and the fruitiness is what makes this fragrance really stand out from other freshies. This feels like a young guy coming out the shower, still wet, with different creamy fruits in his hand. This would shine the most during spring and summer, especially during the daytime. However, this could be worn any time and any day at any situations. The bottle design is very nice, I love a good fade of colours, so that's what works as an advantage for me. However, the atomiser is absolute TRASH. I wasn't expecting much from Paco Rabbane, and so I'm not impressed at all. 8/10

Have been wanting this for a while and the wife bought it for me for Christmas. I’m very happy. I have a range of scents ranging from designer to niche and I don’t get the hate for this. It seems like those who’s first niche, probably aventus or Naxos, have become the biggest posers and think they have the more sophisticated nose than everyone else. “It smells like pickles” you’re an idiot. What fucking pickles are you eating? It’s synthetic. Yeah! So are many others that are in your collection. “It’s for 15 year olds”. No. You saying that just tells me that you’re insecure with yourself, your style, and need compliments to make it through the day. Oh, you also need big labels on your clothes to let others know you’ve spent an exorbitant amount of money on a single polo. Gist over yourselves. Anyways, this is a great scent that will likely be my daily for work and my daily in the spring and summer. I enjoy the sweetness as it’s playful and different from everything else in my collection. You can read through comments all you want but in the end, go get your nose on it and formulate your own opinion on it.
