I relembre as I blind bought Fragrance du Bois “Sirene”, the first time I used I recognized this immediately as Paco Rabanne’s “Major Me”. I kind of regreted having paid the step price of Sirene as I already had Major Me. I read the review of @>Happy Cat< and thought “wait, was I wrong?” I decided to wear both on each arm and compare them. In the opening Major Me is sweeter and Sirene is more almondy, in the drydown they’re almost the same, lactones take over, Major Me being rougher around the edges, sillage and projection the same and they lasted about the same. I know perfumery is very subjective, but not totally. There is objectiveness. And the object truth about Major Me and Sirene is that Sirene was heavely inspired, almost a copy of Major Me. Fragrance du bois didn't even try to hide it, just look at the pyramid, it’s about the same. This comment by @>Happy Cat< may be a case of niche snob, fangirl of some brand or fragrance or in denial for having paid a high price for the same fragrance. Better advertasing made Sirene more sucessful. If Major Me was launched by a niche company or as it’s own thing, instead of a part of the Pacome collection, it would be equally successful. Anyway, congratulations for Emily on creating this scent profile, both fragrances are amazing.

This is a dark cherry. This is Dracula feeding you cherries in his incense filled rooms. I love this. I can't believe I'm saying this about a fragrance that has such prominent patchouli, but my nose doesn't seem to mind it. It's lovely cherry oud. Pepper gives it a nice touch to the fruity cherry. Benzoin and moss add up the monastery vibes from oud and incense. (Which is a combo I love, I knew a guy who constantly asked me why I smelled like a church, I just like to smell grand, that is all). Now, I went ahead and bought this fragrance. It's just that good and everyone seemed to agree with me on this one. It goes with my everything. P.s. This is still my all time favourite, although it is very potent and I would suggest dialing it down in the summer time. I still love amber in summer. Now, beware!! Due to its unique packaging, they might take this baby away from you in the airport security. I had a carry on and even though it doesn't exceed the 100ml mark, they took it away from me, and searched me head to toe. Get it checked in or just leave it resting at home. Thankfully, I bought a second one month's back. I'm really afraid they're going to discontinue this masterpiece, because no one is aware of this pacollection.

Cherry, somewhat synthetic, slightly spicy with black pepper, you can immediately feel the oud, but not too intense or too masculine, a softer oud I would say, the patchouli gives an earthy touch next to the moss, the incense note ties them all together the notes like a hug. dry down I feel a slight benzoin and the cherry unfortunately becomes barely noticeable (which I regret). Anyway, this was a pleasant surprise, Major is beautiful to me, notes that intertwine in harmony. Peacefully a shareable fragrance.

Lovely cherry from the beginning, not overly sweet, more on the liquorice side. Later the incense appears, not a church incense, more a soft and likeable one. Cherry and incense notes play one against the other for hours (the best part of this fragrance) adding new notes, I can smell rose at some point of the middle stage. Finally soft woods and incense remains in the skin, all cherry is gone. Powerful one and long lasting, go gently with the sprays, a gourmand without teeh cavities. 100% recommended
