Night Soul

Purchased from Selfridges on launch day along with Oud Montaigne. This perfume is absolutely stunning, and a welcome departure from the ambroxin bombs that await on every trip to a perfume counter these days. It’s woody, warm and sweet (not sickeningly, it’s been handled with care). Although not listed, for the first 30-60 minutes, I smell a beautiful buttery Iris with a milky, green fig. On the dry down the woods take centre stage, all underpinned by warm, comforting Tonka bean. For me, this is the best in the collection and it’s not close!

As a lover of sandalwood and fig, it’s gorgeous to me. It’s soft, musky, smooth, gentle. I reeeeally like this one. Not groundbreaking but so comfy to me. Could be my relax or bed scent, so comforting. I get more of the fig, cedarwood and sandalwood, not tonka (sorry for those who are searching for a tonka forward scent). The name of this one is very accurate to my mind and my nose.

Night Soul is fig, cream, and woods having a midnight rendezvous. Think Santal 33 in silk pajamas with a sweet tooth. It started as a maybe... now I’m obsessed.

Unfortunately the fig wasn't really figging like I wanted it to fig and the whipped cream is nowhere to be found. I very much get Home Depot lumber section. I don't necessarily hate it but that's genuinely all I can pick up. Maybe they forgot the rest of the notes in my sample. It's so woody it almost makes my eyes water. Even still I wouldn't call it offensive. By itself, yes, but if it were to be layered with something fruity (fig perhaps?) or sweet it could help disperse it a bit more. Interesting fragrance, probably gonna pass on this one though.

I don't like the bottle too blocky and masculine, but the fragrance is great! It's soft and gently sweet. Quiet performance, but not invisible. Tasteful. There's a calming, well-worn leather note I wasn't expecting and faint touches of smoke or tobacco as it dries down (must be the palo santo). I don't truthfully get fig or whipped cream. It's one of those that smells great on a sweater or jacket the next day.

Great work! One of the only fig fragrances i truly dig ! Drydown is very interesting , smooth like smooth elegant jazz in a restaurant with low lighting and beautiful people drinking excellent wine. The waiter is gentle and speaks in soft voice, the singer 's voice melts your bowels, and the night is still young.

NOT A REVIEW: I can’t wait to try this one just based off of this scent pyramid. If I ever were to make my own perfume it would undoubtedly contain every single one of these notes! This sounds amazing, and from what I hear the price seems reasonable, I can’t wait to sample it.

Testing this from the Rabanne sample set and first impressions are dry, herbal, earthy scent. Looking at the notes above I honestly can't smell any of them. To me it is not the smooth and sweet scent the cream, sandalwood and tonka would suggest.

Night soul is a ok fragrance. Wos looking forward to fig and woody notes. It is a sweet ,creamy woody fragrance. Nothing outstanding. Good soft quiet fragrance. 7/10. Bit too feminine for my liking. Great bottle.

Smells like M Margiela Jazz Club. They're similar to my nose. I like the woody creaminess in Night Soul more. But Jazz Club wins at longevity
