Olympéa Absolu

I once back then tried it from a sample on my skin ; i understimated this fragrance not knowing its full potential. I don’t know if i didn’t spray it enough, or got nose blind to it, but i only smelled a faint apricot and then almost nothing. But now that i own a bottle... woah, completely a whole different story : let me tell you the experience. The blast of apricot is smooth, blended into a beautiful vanilla. Then amber kicks in, apricot tones down and we got an outstanding sweet addictive amber scent that is lingering there and projects : and i especially noticed it while using a jacket i sprayed the day before, not immediately after. My conclusion is that my nose has a certain tolerance to the ingredients inside (amber) that prevents me to get the full experience when the fragrance reaches its peak of projection (immediate nose blindbess), but after a long wait when fragrance becomes « weakened » : i can get decent whiffs. Meaning the longevity and projection are actually great there. I got same experience with divine le parfum (heavy in amber) : everyone complemented me, smelling me from far while i thought the fragrance disappeared Update : i don’t know who just recently added cinammon/coffee/orange blossom as note, but they absolutely ain’t there.

I love the original Olympéa, but Olympéa Absolut blows that one out of the water for me. It just exudes warmth, and the apricot note is so delicious and sweet without being cloying. I have a lot of vanilla amber fragrances in my collection, and none smell quite like this one. It's a new instant favorite. Projection isn't beast mode, but it's still above average. I also 100% agree with @Lamsarra below. I'm not detecting any spice, coffee or orange blossom at all. It's primarily apricot, vanilla and amber done exceptionally well. The only thing Olympéa Absolut has in common with Black Opium, SDJ 76, Gucci Gorgeous Orchid, etc. is that they're all warm, feminine scents. They smell quite different otherwise. :) ** Update 4/4 - The dry down of Olympéa Absolut continued to remind me of the dry down of another fragrance in my collection - it's reminiscent of Snif's Naughty Nonna! They both have VERY different note pyramids, but they share a similar super warm, yet light, vanilla.

There’s something so familiar about this but I can’t put my finger on what else I have in my collection that smells like it. I can absolutely smell the apricot and orange blossom, together they sort of combine into something similar to D&G Devotion.... I get the same syrupy candied fruit smell in the opening as you get in that. (I’m typing as I’m thinking and I’m sure that’s what I already own that it reminds me of) It’s a nice fresh summer scent, I can imagine it’s nice in cold weather too. I won’t rush to buy it again though, I’m glad I’ve smelt it now. That’s another one checked off the list. But it’s just not very ‘me’ ——————- EDIT: I’ve come back to add this scent is now very much ‘me’. It’s taken a few weeks but I love it.

This fragrance is so elegant and well-blended. 🖤 Warm, sensual, and even cosy, yet it remains perfectly suited to every season. Love the waxiness, that Hypnotic Posion has (but it's less prominent in O.A.) too. I only wish she were a tad bolder and a little louder! As if she could be the aunt of 'Silky Woods', the elegant, quieter, yet remarkably sharp-witted type. Even though this perfume is not quite as loud as I would prefer, I am going to enjoy her immensely and will undoubtedly repurchase in the future. 🖤

As an intense lover of the OG Olympea, I’ve been repeatedly disappointed by PRs poor iterations of it: Solar, Parfum, Intense, Blossom. All pale in comparison to the OG. Absolu however...😮💨Woo I couldn’t stop smelling myself!! This is a beautiful amber THEN vanilla scent. Very linear but consistently a stunning rich scent on the skin. Again, it’s a predominantly amber scent although not resinous or spicy. So it makes it way more wearable in the heat or daytime. It’s simplicity makes it more difficult to describe other than try it (don’t listen to the weirdos who automatically dismiss flankers), this is a solid release from PR🔥

I sprayed it today at 11am at the fragrance shop. Now we have 8:15 pm and is still on my forearm...its been 9hrs! Beautiful fizzy, juicy apricot in the opening. Sweet but also refreshing. Then slowly transfer to smooth jasmin and vanilla. Now I have cosy, not too sweet vanilla on my skin with just a little bit of smokiness. Bottle is absolutely stunning! This is how I wanted JPG La Belle Flower Edition to smell like!

It got instant crush for her immediatly! Thought had found the most flirty and still beautyful jasmineus sunny party-scent, that would be big in evening use too. It is great. For some hours. But im lil sad to announce that it for real turned too generic at end as some rewievs have noted. Well but now Im still very interested on Paco Rabanne, I havent owned any of them. Waiting to sniff that upcoming solarscent.

This fragrance perfectly complements the Olympea line; its unique composition sets it apart. It smells absolutely divine. I sprayed it at 12pm and it's now 11pm at night and I'm still constantly smelling it, it definitely projects pretty well. As another reviewer noted, this is the olfactory experience i had hoped for from the JPG La Belle Flower Edition. I will definitely be buying a bottle 🥰

I think this is really beautiful! It is suitable for all seasons and times of day. It is soft but rich...cozy but sexy. Summer nights but foggy autumn mornings. I'm still trying to figure it out because I am getting a vanilla almond creamy boozy tuberose after dinner drink....not what the notes are explaining. This works for me and my Pennsylvanian climate....delicious! Love!

Stunning bottle, stunning juice. Fresh apricot squeezed into a vanilla coffee with a garden of lush white florals and an amber ambiance surrounding it.

This is very classy and addictive, I immediately bought it. It’s sweet but not too sweet and has some freshness from apricot, love it!

This is an excellent scent that will have you crave for more. Amber and Vanilla of the finest. Super luxe and feminine.

I'm not among the fans of the OG Olympea, but this one caught my attention with its witchy, dark night + full moon inspired bottle at a duty free store. I loved the absence of the signature salt tone. This came off as a moderately captivating night time scent I was looking for a new signature fragrance for date nights as the long discontinued Lancome Tresor A La Folie is wiped off of market and I still was unable to replace it with a similarly good fragrance. I didn't buy this right away but even smelling it once stood on my mind and 3 weeks later, I bought a full bottle of 50 ml size when they had a %25 discount around mothers day at Sephora tbh, I don't quite understand why I went as far as spending that much money on this. it's pleasant but even Good Girl is a more striking night out and sexy time scent than this. I feel like I'm not that crazy about it, and it definitely didn't end my search for a fragrance that'd be as magnetizing as A la Folie. It is pleasant. Not ground breaking, nothing incredibly unique. But pleasant.

If you’re a fan of Olympea range like myself, you probably have tested and owned some or most of them. It was a fantastic release around ten years ago, when we weren’t spoiled by so many brands with so many options... On current market, Olympea Absolu doesn’t bring the same novelty as once did. It a very nice, ambery, vanilla based perfume with a heavy jasmine and some fruity accents from apricots, but it’s nothing new or special. I have already Olympea Legend, Olympea Intense and Olympea Onyx Collector edition and there’s nothing that different in Absolu to justify the purchase of it. Same scent base minus salt/grapefruit blossom, plus apricots. To give credit where credit is due, it is a long lasting perfume, which for the price I would expect, so nothing to complain about performance. If you are new to perfumery or you don’t have a good floral, fruity, amber vanilla based scent in your collection, give this one a try. Chances are high that you’ll really like it.

On my skin: Oh! The opening is so juicy sweet apricot! I've never smelled anything like this, but I'm not a fruity scents type of girl. This one is different, though. It has a vanilla that's unsusual and indeed addictive. Its jasmine is well-balanced and smooth, not indolic, nor invasive or sharp and it stays in the far background. It reminds me of an apricot scented sunscreen for kids, that I used to love, I think it was from the Garnier - very old. It smells like nectar in apricots to me. Very nice, I like it a lot! It has patchouli, but surprisingly it doesn't overpowers everything as per usual. I'll might get a 50 ml bottle. It's very intimate, though - no projection 😭 And I can recognize its DNA. Easy vanilic apricot grab. 😊🍑🧡🍦🍦

I’m not a huge fan of the Olympéa collection, but this Absolu version is quite enjoyable. It’s a fruity jasmine (apricot) with a fairly fresh character. I’m surprised not to find any marine note, as I personally did perceive some kind of gentle, distant sea breeze - very soft, nothing as intense as the original. The bottle is stunning, though it feels like a missed opportunity for an Olympéa Hecate or Selene...

Out of all the Olympéa flankers I've tried, I think this is the one that I like the most. It just has it all: the sweetness and juiciness of apricot, the softness of jasmine, the warmth and decadence of vanilla. It feels intentional, womanly and complete. It is not at niche level, but it still smells very expensive. Bottle presentation is impeccable.

It smells delectable and initially completely different to Olympea. Lovely, feminine, medium strength, medium sweet, and attention grabbing. I was constantly sniffing my wrist. With time the Olympea DNA shows with the windy jasmine, but they remain far apart. I do not associate the scent with the color black. Worth checking! Just a wrist test.

It’s beautiful but not ‘me’. Kicks off with a lovely bright apricot, underpinned by amber. It’s powdery and warm, without being cloying. It’s noticeable but not loud. Feminine and confident. I don’t love an apricot and it’s slightly too floral for me (I felt the same about the Parfum, which I owned), but it’s a lovely lovely scent!

Apricoty jasmine with amber. Gentle and not overewhelming in summer but long lasting. I catch it on the breeze all evening. A like at first use and now I am growing quite fond of it. With time, after the apricots are gone it becomes more Olympea - a slightly salty vanilla-jasmine. First Olympea flanker since Legend that I like

It’s smells nice and very similar to one I already own (The Only One Intense by Dolce&Gabbana) and they are redundant. This one is more vanilla forward while The Only One Intense is more floral forward. But I kid you not they smell the same but this one is sweeter

A pleasant composition—sweet in just the right measure and subtly sensual. Its fruity-vanillic charm reveals itself most clearly at close range.

From its 'Absolu' name and design choice, I was expecting something a little more... intense. Deeper and darker befitting the gorgeous black-gold bottle. So I went to get a tester and it's just, okay? It's by no means a bad or disappointing perfume. Olympeia Absolu was sweet, smooth, soft and creamy and utterly feminine. The apricot opening was syrupy thick, almost so close to having a real, overripe apricot, and the white floral gives it a bright tone that uplifts the sweetness before settling into a fuzzy vanilla amber. It's a crowd pleaser with no real downside at all; office safe, not cloying, light, lasts a decent amount of time. But in short: the smell didn't match its appearance. Had the jasmine been more heady, or the coffee prominent and more bitter in the drydown, or the juicy apricot more tart and leathery—all of which would make a 'darker' scent profile—Absolu would have my heart. This smell honestly fits a white bottle better than a black one.

I just got my sample, but it's not for me. It doesn't smell like Good Fortune at all, which was light. This is much much heavier. Deep, dark. And a bit grandma-ish. The black bottle represents it well. The opening I liked, but after I became bored of it. It's definately for winter/fall. After the opening of fruit and flowers, I couldn't distinguish different notes, it was a more general perfumey-smell, a bit of a chemical soup. A few hours later I smell vanilla, but not a particular good one, all very synthetic. Not too bad this scent, but meh.

I was really looking forward to this bc it has all the notes that I normally love in a perfume, but unfortunately it was quite average. It's just a generic amber vanilla scent, although it smells nice enough - that's it... It didn't last more than an hour on my skin and then faded really quickly and only get whiffs of it if I really smell it. It was a shame bc it was something I was really looking forward to wearing, but as my review states, it was just okay

Basic and I mean veeery basic, no edge no trace of the original perfume, no personality, it smells like a Zara perfume that you can get for 15 bucks

All I get is patchouli. It's strong, it's dirty, it's dark. But at the same time it smells just like many other mass-market sweet florals (Good Fortune and many others). I blind bought 30ml based on the description of this being vanilla forward. I don't think it is. I'll give it to a friend.

I finally tried it and I'm so happy I didn't blind buy! This is so dull and absolutely nothing special. Completely lost the Olympea dna. It's just a sweet fragrance very similar to all other newer designer releases. Reminds me of some bland, floral body mist you can get in every shop. Very random and boring release.

How similar is it to the intense version? Is it salty? Intense is my fav, non other Olympias impress/ed me as much. So it's the only one ai own. I still haven't seen this one in shops, so might blind buy online.

There are admittedly several Olympéa flankers, and I have only sampled the original which I responded to favourably, describing it as a summer-appropriate salty vanilla floral. A sales assistant urged me to test the latest release from this line, Olympéa Absolu Parfum Intense, housed in a foreboding all-black bottle with a gold pendant hanging from its front. This fragrance is a heavy-hitter, immediately announcing its presence the moment it hits the skin. The liquid is ambery in colour, and has the potential to stain lighter coloured clothing. It is indeed a parfum, heavily concentrated with notes of apricot, jasmine absolute, vanilla and amber. Unlike the original Olympéa and its earlier flankers, Absolu notably omits the signature salty accord. The result is a smoother, warmer, and more overtly gourmand fragrance that focuses on the interplay between pulpy fruit, intoxicating florals, and a rich, ambery sweetness. I sampled this in a shop it was on sale £30 for 30ml I went to another couple of shops and 3 women, on separate occasions asked me what perfume I had on.. one asked me even to write it down for her! I took that as a sign and went and purchased it! It’s stunning.. so warm and pretty. If you like vanillary perfume your definitely like this!

This is a very amber heavy scent. Very few simple notes, but still manages to be so seductive. I don't find it generic at all. If it was generic I think the remind me of suggestions would be all over the place. The jasmine balances the sweet apricot opening and I appreciated that it has no salty notes. Better than og Olympea.

Not that far from the Parfum, also very “noir.” The amber is thick, the vanilla sweet and heavy, and the whole composition leans into dense warmth that clings to you like a velvet curtain. It’s a solid winter fragrance if you love a sweet-ambery, enveloping style. But for me way too heavy, I prefer vanillas that can breathe.

Got a sample yesterday and decided to try it even on high euro temperatures. To me a dark slightly smoky jasmine and trail of vanila with amber that stays linear and projects well. It performed nicely on 26 Celsius I am not against a gothic spring perfume but it’s kinda generic and boring still 6/10

Maybe my nose is broken or certain notes really pull on me but to me it just smells like a softer good girl. I am really hoping after it settles from the heat of shipping and smells different cause I am dying for the pretty bottle :(

I tried a free sample of this beauty, and I had to pick up a full bottle. It's beautiful and sophisticated! Ideal for cooler days and nights. I love the apricot note - very elegant - mixed with jasmine and a touch of vanilla! Yum!

Smells identical to Victor and rolf flowerbomb and sol de janeiro 76. It’s a simple sweet, amber jasmine scent which smells very similar to a lot of current designer fragrances so nothing special

Just received the sample and it's very similar to Fame which I'm not a big fan of. Very generic. I don't really detect any of the notes, it's quiet well blended. But not a perfume I would buy
