Olympéa Parfum

If the Parfum version of Olympea would be a separate perfume not belonging to the Olympea, sold under an entirely different name, because it barely resembles the OG Olympea, I think it would get less hate. I sampled it today in store and I really liked it. It’s very, very far gone from the line DNA and to me it’s rather a very warm feeling aromatic, green, white floral with a musky base. It’s a standalone fragrance that has nothing to do with the salty vanilla DNA. Yes, it does have vanilla in the base, (and jasmine) but everything else it’s very different than the original Olympea. If I am to judge it on its own merits, it’s nice, different than most designers releases in the last years, going towards a more niche direction, but still very likeable and mass appealing. The bottle is my least favourite out of the entire Olympea collection, generally black aesthetic is not my thing, but what’s the most important aspect to mention is the price. A 50 ml bottle of Olympea Parfum costs more than a 80 ml bottle of previous versions where I live!! Which is insane! A 80 ml bottle of this Parfum version is priced higher than some niche brands. Would it br more reasonable priced, I might get a bottle for my Olympea collection. I have almost all of them, well at least the ones I liked. But for these prices, it’s a pass for me. Not because it’s a bad scent, but because it’s outrageously expensive! Edit September 2024: I found a 80 ml bottle for half off so I am happy to have this Parfum version of Olympea in my collection! It’s an interesting, long lasting perfume.

I've tried this twice now as a sample and each time I've been confused as to whether I have got this and the Absolu bottles mixed up because as this one opens I thought I could smell like a fresh apricot skin note and that still persists. I didn't find the Absolu particularly apricot forward even though it is amongst it's top notes which added to my confusion. I deleted my review for Absolu until I can test the two properly again and confirm I'm talking about the right one! I have now established that this is defo the Parfum and I still get the apricot skin. Someone else below says raspberry/dough - I can see what they are getting at. Overall I find this to be my favourite Olympea flanker. It does not have the salt or marine like quality of the original at all. (I love that aspect of the OG but don't miss it here). It's a sweet and slightly herbal vanilla, kind of how I imagine desserts would taste when a chef puts a sprig of rosemary or similar in some crème anglaise, or in this case I guess it would be clary sage and a small amount of pink pepper. This doesn't come off spicy, just mildly aromatic and it's mostly a soft, gentle,dreamy, benzoiny vanilla. The rose oil is imperceptible to me. It's definitely FB worthy and a potential cooler weather signature. It does feel rather cozy. Can't imagine it being hugely polarising yet I don't really feel it's similar to anything else. Typical Olympea performance, above average longevity. Comforting and addictive. You might like this if you like fragrances in the style of Paragon but this leans more feminine.

I really wish this had been a stand alone perfume from Rabanne because trying to find it online just brings up the OG Olympéa and this would have done so well shining on its own. This is one of the nicest perfumes I’ve ever smelt in my life, and is signature scent worthy. It smells like a warm hug. It’s creamy, dreamy, silky smooth and so well blended and gives sophisticated summer beach vibes without the horrible sharpness of citrus and tropical notes that are so typical of traditional summer scents. My longevity test is to spray before bed and see if I can still smell in the morning, and she is still there on my skin the next day. It doesn’t have great silage, people are not going to walk into a room and immediately smell this like Alien, Libre or La Belle, for me it is more of an intimate skin scent, however it does have okay projection and people will smell it if you’re standing near them. It’s a very addictive scent, and that vanilla jasmine combo is just beautiful. That spicy clery sage smells quite sweet to me when I first spray, and thankfully the orange blossom just lingers faintly in the back and doesn’t steal the show from the rest of the notes. Feminine, pretty, silky smooth and dreamy is the best way to describe this and it’s my number one favourite by miles.

I'm not one to like herbal or green. But this is definitely wearable. It has such a soft fluffy texture to it. On first sniff you definitely smell some sage but it's really not bad. It feels like just a wisp on top of the rose, orange blossom, vanilla and musk. If you like soft feeling Fragrances you really should give this a try. I'm a fan of all the olympeas but this doesn't really remind me of ANY of them. It kinda reminds me of Alien Fusion..Idk that's the only perfume I own that kinda reminds me of this. Definite not a dupe but kinda vibes with it. I feel like this would be a really cozy bedtime scent. I still need to do a full wear test but I'm sure longevity will be fine since none of the olympeas have disappointed me yet on wear time or projection. OP has no sharp edges or star notes, everything is crazy well blended. So far Very inoffensive and fuzzy soft in the BEST way. I'll update on my wear test

I have received this perfume today (blind buy!) and I can say I am in love! I totally dislike all other Olympéas, but this one is very different and feels like a frangrance of its own. Forget about the notes: it smells like a grown up cotton candy on the branch of a blooming jasmine tree. No rose, no sage (thank all the world's gods for that, because I totally dislike clary sage!). But I really don't need more than that. Longevity and sillage are very good (about 9-10 hours of longevity, with 5-6 hours of significant projection, although my skin is very complicated). After all, it's a "parfum", not just EDP, so I expected it to stay true to that. Regarding the price, I guess we can all agree that the prices of designer perfumes have skyrocketed over the last 3-4 years (some have even doubled!), but Olympéa Parfum has quite good prices, especially for such performance.

Olympea Parfum: soft, dreamy, comforting! This is one of those perfumes that takes you on a journey. It took a good part of a week for this perfume to acclimatize and become the soft, slightly sweet perfume that I know now. It was much different when I first got it out of the mail box and couldn't wait to spray! It was very soapy sharp white jasmine with vanilla... and a little like Play-Doh. Then, it changed to Hubba-Bubba bubble gum. It was ok... but not great. Now it is great! Perfect for a Pennsylvanian winter. How do I explain? It is a sweet floral with a velvety dry down that is so romantic and soothing you want to cover your cashmere sweater in it. I'm very happy I bought a 2.7oz bottle on Jomashop for $65. Such a beautiful bottle, but it should have a different name. I would call it something like jasmine cashmere or velvet night. Love!

PR should’ve made this a perfume in its own right and not an Olympea flanker because, thankfully, nothing like the original Olympea. The original was so “airy fairy”, forgettable, and even the salt note couldn’t make it great. I saw this black version at Myers and in my head I’ve gone maybe an intense version (perfume marketing over the years got me good) but no something else entirely... for the better! If you like perfumes in the way of black opium, D&G the one intense, etc then you’ll love this one, it goes slightly creamy on my skin but with a “kick” note balancing it out and give it a bit of spice. Definitely a black bottle perfume, it’s giving midnight and sex vibes Didn’t spray enough to comment on silage but longevity wise my wrist is still going strong 5 hours later.

Now this is a flanker! I don’t like it when designers bring out flanker after flanker that often bear no resemblance to the original. The flanker should really just be another perfume altogether. It feels lazy and sloppy. They didn’t do this here. It is appropriately a flanker. I have a full bottle of the original Olympea and know the scent very well. This was just a sample. It truly reminds me of OG just less salted caramel and slightly more florally but they absolutely remind me of eachother and differently enough where you could have both? I wouldn’t say this is gentler than the original as it’s still very powerful and has that depth that the original has. Really beautiful 10/10 but I am a fan of the Olympea line so could be biased!

This is a sillage bomb! And it sort of reminds me of Good Girl, in a sense that is sweet, smooth, deep and rich, but the 2 aren't identical. I swear I detect a hint of coconut in the dry down, but looking at the notes it is probably the vanilla and benzoin combo. It didn't smell green to me at all, just strong and velvety smooth from the start. Lasts for hours and defo a colder weather scent. The longer I smell it the more I like it. And it has nothing in common with the original, wouldn't have guessed it is part of the same line. For once, I prefer the all black 30 mil bottle than the bigger ones with the gold cap and sides.

No perfume has ever shocked me so much before! I didn’t think much about it at first, based on the notes, but when I smelled it in store I was blown away by the most wonderful scent. I couldn’t even describe what I was smelling, it’s was just mind blowing. This was month ago and yesterday I finally bought myself my own bottle and I couldn’t be happier. I literally went out of the store jumping and clapping in excitement and my boyfriend, for once, understood why. He really liked this fragrance as well (he’s super picky haha). I really recommend everyone to give this a chance!

This perfume opens with a fresh, greenish note, and the top notes are a bit off-putting and strange. I could smell the white floral jasmine and a very spicy note. As it settles on the skin, a bouquet of white flowers emerges, with a powerful jasmine, making the fragrance truly shine. And even with the vanilla, I barely notice it. This version has nothing to do with the original Olympéa or any other Flanker. I really liked it!

I can definitely smell the Olympea DNA in this, not sure why some people claim they smell nothing alike. Smooth, beautiful amber/vanilla with a musky base. I don’t smell the characteristic “salty” note past very briefly in the opening. It’s pretty linear, but absolutely delicious and very wearable. I quite like this flanker, maybe more than the OG. Beautifully blended, great longevity, though not a lot of projection.

I love the og olympea but this one is gorgeous too... it's smells amazing, feminine, for women with attitude.. something totally different and unespected from olympea range. I think if you don't like olympea edp, there are huge chances for you to like this one because there is no similarity.. so creamy...cozy...soft..perfect for autumn and winter... warm scent...

Yeaa..So, this is basically Dolce and Gabbana's The Only One Intense. I love it, don't get me wrong. But its basically The only one intense. And so far, it looks like the sillage isnt great either. Still love it though. Caught a bit of pear earlier in the mix along with dough, love it. Is it just me or all perfumes suddenly smell alike? lol

I sprayed on my hand like 5 hours ago and i washed my hands like 3 times since then , the fragrance still lasts and it is on my skin even after all that washing , i want this to be my next purchase! It is a night fragrance tho , i would not be putting it on for a day time.

Great and very pleasant scent. It has the Rabanne DNA that you can't get wrong. It's a female version of Invictus Elixir for me. Longevity for my mom is amazing, more than 10 hours. Smells amazing and is properly strong, although the batch is only 2 months old.

Does anyone else get a brief raspberry and dough note in the opening?? This is my fav perfume everrr, spicy and warm, but perfectly balanced with the green accord, and the vanilla dry down is very comforting.

Not a review, just a thought... Judging by the notes listed, this Parfum version looks like a totally different perfume than the OG Olympea, not an actual flanker.. Why not release it with a new name????

Beautiful fresh white floral with benzoin stickiness... its very delicate and classy. Vanilla blends all together well. I really like this one.

I love it, its bold and mature and I am happy the salt is gone. I do agree with reviews saying this should not be a flanker.

Very heavy oil based. Under rated. Beautiful creation.

This review is based on my first impression. The opening is quite fruity like a pear-apple kind of smell. Then the jasmine comes in, how they done it is similar to the other jasmine perfumes like Good Fortune, Alien Goddess etc. Meaning, clean, slightly fruity, slightly powdery. There is a hint of aromatic touch from the sage that I get at this stage but it's in the background. I like it, there is a bit of fresh aromatic twist from it, makes the jasmine more interesting. The drydown is very enjoyable the benzoin and vanilla is not cloying, it's not too heavy. It reminds me of the dry down of Olympea Solar ( but of course without the orange blossom). It's sweet and creamy vanilla. Overall I think it's a safe girly fragrance. Nothing outstanding but nothing harsh either. Similar to other jasmine releases but different enough that I am intrigued by it. I would wear it as an all year around everyday fragrance, very pleasant in my opinion. I think the 'Parfum' is basically just the name not the concentration. It doesn't perform better than an EDP. It's not light, it's there and it's noticeable but I was expecting more drama. Like I said, pretty and safe jasmine vanilla combo. CUTE.

Arguably the best of the Olympeas. It's more balanced and smells more expensive - less screechy jasmine and less in you face strong synthetic everything. I can appreciate the vanilla finally without the heavy amber and jasmine. I like it and will likely reach for it more often than the others but unfortunately I don't get any salt from it. Heavy salt is the signature of Olympeas and best part of them in IMO. So if you're a sucker for the salt, I don't recommend this one. I wish they'd do this more sophisticated version with as much salt as Olympea Intense. The perfect Olympea flanker! Also ppl are reviewing that this one the winter Olympea... I disagree. I find OG Olympea way too heavy for the summer. Cold weather only. This lighter version can stretch to warmer weather with it's fresh green notes IMO.

I know everyone is saying that this perfume is a super generic amber vanilla, and this is true but I still like it. I can feel the sage in the beginning which is so nice, somewhat reminds me of Crystal Noir EDT, one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the sage here is mild and fades away quickly, then the scent is mostly sweet orange blossom and vanilla, it does feel quite powdery which is nice. I wish they didn't play safe and went bolder with the sage, then this perfume would have been very unique and beautiful, in the class of crystal noir. I also wish it lasted longer, it's gone within 2-3 hours, needs reapplying. Overall, it is very inofensive and safe, it does feel a little too sweet to me but far from sickening sweet, suitable for all occasions and gifting in my opinion.

Beautiful powdery white floral with a warmth. To me it's most suited for summer, unlike Olympea Solar (that I own and love) which, despite being advertised as a summer fragrance, is more a cold weather scent. I can smell the Olympea DNA but it's not similar to the original, if that makes sense. If you like white and yellow floral (I detect some ylang ylang), and classy powdery fragrance, this one is for you. It's mature without being suited to older women, and very elegant and put together. It's modern without being trendy and basic. I can't comment on longevity and strength as I don't own it, but I'm really looking forward to adding this to my collection. It's a shame it's not talked about. It's a beautiful creation.

It's a pleasant, creamy scent with spicy-green notes at the background. This scent is not typical to Olympea, it's unique. I really like it! As OG, of course! I can't smell any salt here, but there's plenty of creaminess and vanilla, in a good way. The longevity and sillage is excellent, I can smell it all day long, especially on clothes. I'm happy to add it to my Olympea collection. Worthy!

Out of all the Olympéas, this was the most challenging for me to appreciate, but I understand the vision. It bears the jasmine-vanilla spine of the original, but here the salt is replaced by a soft, fresh, green accord that smells like the stem and leaves of a young plant. I'm not yet sure if I "like" it, but interesting nonetheless. The black-and-gold amphora bottle belongs in a museum.

From afar the trail is delicious and sweet, vanilla, jasmine and orange blossom. Close up on the skin it is a pepper bomb. Pink pepper with notes of jasmine sounds brightly on the skin, in its turn the trail is not suffocating and unobtrusive. It will be perfect for both evening and daytime, I would also like to note that it is better to save this perfume for the cool season.

This is the only Olympéa I’ve owned or sampled, so I can’t compare to others. However, this is a nicely blended, long lasting floral. It’s not particularly loud but the performance is decent. I can’t say that I’d be able to pick it out from a line up but it’s quite beautiful and unchallenging. A comfortable, comforting, pretty fragrance.

Jasmine is not my favorite note, but this blends softly with the pink pepper and vanilla in this one. Got a tester, not going to buy a bottle of it because its not a love at first sniff, its just okay. The jasmine is done in the same way of fame. The longevity is good, sprayed on my clothes and it stayed for 10 hours.

This is a nice flanker to my signature scent but it doesn’t live up to OG Olympéa’s beauty. It’s definitely a unique blend and I love the aromatic quality to it. I detect some herbal notes as well as a more woody and resinous dry down. It’s also more floral than sweet compared to the OG.

This is my cold weather Olympea....what I had hoped the intense would have been like.

I don't like the original Olympéa which gives me terrible headaches with its salty smell. This one doesn't have much to do with it. No smell of salt nor sea. I found it to have a rather vague aromatic/citrusy smell (I had written "very green/citrus" in my notes) which gives a fresh aspect to the whole. The pink pepper, on the other hand, is perfectly perceptible to my nose and brings a little appreciable spicy side. It's not the kind of perfume I would die for, but I found it pleasant and - obviously in my case - better than the original since this one doesn't make me gag. The bottle is very beautiful.

Dusty start makes it hard to like the scent. It feels synthetic. Maybe it's benzoin-musk, but the vanilla and any floral notes are drowning in the dusty accord. There is nothing fresh about the top - no vegetal accord it pledges to have. As much as I love Olympea, even the Acqua and Intense and Legend versions, the parfum opening disappointed me sadly. Something bad is happening to Olympea since Solar version. Too many to count flankers and yet I had hopes for Parfum version. My nose cannot stand the dust. It ruins Black Opium too. Maybe its fans will like the new Olympea.

I had just sampled this in store and I agree, it's very different from Olympea. The bottle is gorgeous, the scent is quite heavy and intense so they suit each other. Even though the notes are not mentioning, to me it smelled very fruity? Like dark and fruity but not necessarily berries. I don't know, not bad by any means just unexpected. Will test some more.

Meh ; imagine dior addict or manifesto elixir during the dry down. Indolic jasmine and ambery vanilla, plus some kind of heliotrope giving it a balsamic/acidic edge. Among my least liked olympea releases. Dry down with benzoin+vanilla is better closer to my favorite absolu, unfortunately seems not to be loud enough

This is the only iteration of Olympea that I have not liked. I thought I would, I smell orange blossom, sage, musk and vanilla, but compared to the OG and other flankers, this one is less sweet, more floral and more office appropriate. Yet... I find that I have no affinity for it. That's all.

what is this suggested hasardous list??? It has nothing to do with this fragrance!

This is a real rich and sweet smelling fragrance. It is the kind of fragrance that is loud and it suits for certain personality. I find it similar style to Alien Goddess Intense, Poison Girl, Black Opium and Good girl. Sometimes when I try a fragrance I love it immediately but especially then the patience and time is needed because more often than not the love at first sniff will turn to hate. Its like rich chocolate cake which I taste and love but I cant keep on eating for very long because I get nauseous. It also stays on real long. I wish I had patience, but I loved it and bought it but now I dislike it. It does not suit my personality at all.

I don't understand why they keep coming with flankers to this scent. They are all very forgettable, except Olympea Solar - I found that one the most distinguishable from the flock. This black bottle juice is a mess of a blend. And YSL is doing the same with Libre now...And Lancome with La vie est belle... Guess it's all about the money...

What are those accords? The clary sage makes this extremely aromatic with a hint of white florals. Absolutely no resemblance to OG olympea (intense salty vanilla), this just reminds me of old perfumes that make you smell like a spice cupboard.

The opening notes really remind me of Black Opium, not my favorite. Really sweet. After around an hour the sweetness dies down and it becomes a little green. Single notes are not discernable. The longevity is good. Boring.

Wow I'm very disappointed in this release it's smells unisex and not very feminine to me. There's lots of nice notes in the ingredient list but all I smell is very sweet coconut and the sage. It's not very strong and sorry I cannot comment of the longevity as I scrubbed it off after 15 mins. It slightly reminded me of Alien goddess with the sweet coconut but not as nice. I think this is the first perfume I've rated with the blue face on Fragantica. Please comment what occasion you would wear this too, for example, is it good for the office, party, Sunday lazy day, date night ect

lmao. Officially only down to one note (vanilla) to tie it to the original Olympea. I stand corrected. So they both share a variation of jasmine. That was never what defined the Olympea scent profile for me though. Why was Paul Guerlain even involved in this? Surely Anne Flipo (one of three noses for the original) could have done this all on her own? And better? Paul Guerlain’s most notable (and *only notable) fragrance so far has been Jimmy Choo Man Aqua, which was also made with a much more talented nose. They throwing this Paul guy a bone? To be an understudy? To practice? Also, I’ve learned it costs quite a bit of time and money to create a completely new bottle. It’s actually a lot more normal for bottles to be created before a scent has even begun to be made. Ain’t that fascinating? So in this shite economy where fragrance especially is a luxury, companies say, “They’ll buy it regardless. Just make a flanker.” I suppose Olympea Elixir is next? Paco must be rolling in his grave. RIP. Also: Nothing about this gives me black bottle vibes. But it will draw people in just because of that.

Sorry to complain without a review but I wish they would have come up with a slightly more unique name. It’s impossible to search for this scent online. Every time I try my feed is filled with every other Olympea. I only get one link to this scent when searching the exact phrase with quotations at the PR official site and that was buried a page down under a few dozen links and ads for the other Olympea flankers. I learned my lesson about blind buying Olympea flankers in the past, so I’m looking for a sample. I really hope these designers soon realize the internet search-driven world we now live in requires branding that is a bit more unique than calling a scent “___ Parfum” when they already have “____ Eau de parfum” scents. There’s going to be a lot of confusion and negative reviews from people who don’t actually even know which scent they’re sampling and are upset that they got the wrong one. Bad marketing strategy. And yes, I know many other designers do this and it’s obnoxious as well.
