Phantom in Red

Finally i got to try it and wow, they stepped up from the Elixir, which in my opinion was a huge flop. This is a fantastic scent that did more than what i expected it. If you like the previous phantoms this one will be a likeable one too. It is a bit different however to the tobacco, oud, benzoin and the plum liquor that is in this fragrance. I would perhaps also add leather, since when it dries down (on paper) it gives a leathry scent. It reminded me of TF Eau De Ombre Leather but with the phantom intense fused together. In other words, perfect. I think if people give this a try and ignore the bottle people will understand how underrated phantom is. Phantom in red is what elixir should have been. Bold, intense and full with new accords. If i were to buy a phantom it would be that one. I think for someone who wants a perfume that performs good, strong and long lasting with a nice blend of icense and woodiness with sweet vanilla and lavender, this is for you. However try it yourself since this is a different kind of perfume compared to the other Phantoms. It reminds me a lot of Phantom Intense, perhaps because of its bold and creative Vanilla and Rum scent. If i find this in discount for a great price id take an swing by the store. However I have only tried it on a paper so far, so I can not add any exact details on perfomance with this fragrance. But scent wise on paper, mindblowing. I like it. Edit: I managed to get a 5ml exclusive bottle of this scent and wow it is fantastic. Longevity, performance and scent wise it is a beautiful masterpiece, the true elixir of the Phantom. Projections strong, lasts around 8 - 10 hours (possibly more) Scent 9/10 A must try

Phantom In Red is, without a doubt, the flanker I’ve enjoyed the most from the entire Phantom line, and I say this while trying to stay as objective as possible. First of all, it completely removes that unpleasant facet that the original Phantom had for me, which on my skin smelled somewhat like kerosene or a strange chemical note. That aspect is totally gone here. Instead, Phantom In Red introduces a much more aromatic and fresh lavender, paired with a sweet, slightly caramelized touch. It also gives off a vibrant, juicy red-fruits vibe that feels very modern and appealing. In the air, it personally reminds me a bit of Prada Luna Rossa Sport, of course keeping the differences in mind. Despite having tobacco or smoky notes listed, the scent never feels heavy or dense. On the contrary, it remains well balanced and very easy to wear. This scent is clearly trending, rich, and best suited for autumn/winter or evening wear. It feels youthful and truly unisex. Longevity and sillage are correct—nothing extreme, but they do their job well. I really love this fragrance and, in my personal opinion, it is much better than the previous Phantom releases. It is clearly aimed at a younger audience and works best for extremely casual occasions: nights out at clubs, bars, or any place with music and dancing. Is it a money grabber? Probably. But compliments are more than guaranteed. Excellent release by Rabanne.

Para mim, o phantom in red é sensacional. Estou usando há 3 semanas e tenho gostado cada vez mais da fragrância desse perfume. Confesso que no início achei um pouco diferente, a abertura dele é bem explosiva e você sente muito forte o açafrão e o licor, sinceramente essa abertura não foi o que me pegou (apesar de agora eu ter acostumado), o que realmente me fez gostar tanto desse perfume foi a forma com que ele se desenvolveu com o passar do tempo na pele/roupa. Ele fica com um doce bem balanceado e o tabaco traz uma complexidade realmente muito interessante para a fragrância, é engraçado porque no início parece uma fragrância jovem e baladeira mas com o passar do tempo ela vai amadurecendo, principalmente por conta da nota de tabaco, que na minha opinião coloca um ar mais maduro ao perfume. É um perfume bem fácil de agradar, minha namorada gostou bastante e alguns amigos também elogiaram o cheiro. É um perfume para ser usado em dias frios e em noites, porque ele é forte sim. Sobre performance, sendo bem sincero, eu esperava mais... Claro, pode ser a minha pele, mas ele fixou no máximo 7h, projetando legal por 1h30 a 2h... Porém nada horrível também, mas tenho um árabe que tem uma performance bem melhor, e pelo preço e a construção do perfume eu esperava mais fixação. Ótimo perfume!

Made an account just to write a review on this specific fragrance. I have seen that this fragrance gets a lot of hate for being another phantom / designer fragrance. These tiktokkers without developed noses smell this fragrance, they detect ‘warm spicy’ notes and immediately call it a ‘generic jpg elixer wannabe’. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The saffron and tabac make this such a sophisticated, gentleman-like, luxurious, mysterious scent. The best way I could describe it? This is initio side effect, but make it more masculine. James bonds’ side effect. I don’t know why no one else smells the side effect in here, they have put such a quality saffron in here for it being a designer fragrance, blended with the tabac it makes it such a mature mix. Then again, im glad this fragrance doesn’t get hyped up. Thank u for gatekeeping my next most worn fragrance. For the ones who feel it, enjoy it.

Rabanne is 3 for 3 for me with the mens line releases this year. Invictus Elixir, Million Night Elixir, and now this. Another one that caught me off guard in the opening because it really doesn't feel similar to any of the other flankers at all. Almost like it should have been its own thing. Either way I think it's fantastic! A touch of sweet, spicy, plummy, puff of smoke goodness. Surprisingly grown up attitude in there as well. Not to mention it's got some real power in the performance. This stuff absolutely wore my nose out. 4 sprays around my neck and within 20 minutes I couldn't detect a blip of it. Low and behold about 5 hours later at the grocery store a lady standing about 5 feet from me remarked on how good I smelled. I would have swore to you it was long gone by then. Something to be aware of if you think it's ghosted you, I promise it hasn't. Calling this one a love at first sniff.

Excellent! Edit: This is a completely unexpectedly good. Rabanne is a 10/10 company and in 2026 proved that perfumes don't have to be "clones" to smell good. It's an easy to wear, sweet, not necessarily young, not necessarily elegant... but a smooth and versatile, clean composition. Absolutely I will repurchase, I am overspraying my 150ml bottle and all I hear is "complEments" or "Complaints" "is that aftershave" no, seriously... this is better than 80% of my collection on an evening, casual level. Stunned. Yes. Good job Rabanne! Europe has true perfumery and it's a CONTINENT (not a country lmao) Edit: I oversprayed this in the past days and I think I go easily noseblind, anosmic to it... so keep that in mind, it's not going anywhere, is just that you can't feel it that much after the nice opening.

I’m pleasantly impressed with this blind buy of Phantom In red. The plum liquor is the most straightforward note up front and for me this is a bit of a boozy flanker. The dry down is warm and sensuous. I’m surprised that musk is not listed as a base. To me the eventual cumulative scent is a different DNA take from the rest of the Phantom collection. I have the entire collection and this one is one of my favorites. No doubt the reviews will be more positive once people ACTUALLY get to sample and wear this new edition. I was delighted that it’s a new scent to me and it doesn’t remind me of anything I’ve owned. Easily one of the best fragrance purchases I’ve made in my collection. It might be my new signature scent for most of the year(daytime in the summer might be pushing it). 9.5-10/10

Rich, bold oud, with a juicy smoky floral boosted liquor. Thought this was unisex, but as it dried it’s quite masculine. Lavender and sage pairing give it a slight medicinal quality. A herbal, resinous, boozy, thick ooze drips alongside the heavy oud base and the scratchy crackly tobacco note rears its head as the top and middle notes mellow down. Smells kinda spiritual but also sexy with the saffron, sage, and liquor. Very different from the OG phantom and the elixir flanker. It is more grown and captivating, and honestly the best one. Powerful longevity and sillage. I love it.

This is a familiar DNA more along the 1 Million flanker side but still a solid fragrance. Probably not worth $100 for a 50ml bottle, but I collect fragrances and am ok with my purchase. A well blended plum tabacco fragrance that also is similar to JPG Le Male Elixir Absolu. Performance and scent profile are solid. A true Paco Rabanne fragrance, tacky bottle, loud fragrance, well blended, mass appeal and slightly overpriced. 8/10 all things considered. I'll wear this in colder weather often.

Completely different take on the Phantom line by Rabanne. I have only positive things to say about this fragrance. Great longevity, decent silage, easy to wear and is compliment heavy. I fully expect this to get more attention as the new year approaches. Adding this to your arsenal will be a great choice especially while we’re still in the winter season. Also, I love the design of the bottle, so adding the red color way to it was another win for me!

Tried this on in The Purfume Shop today and instantly bought. Wow. My first Rabanne. Love it. Pick up the plum straight away mixed with the Saffron. The Lavender kicks in just nicely then the woody oud. I tried so many others and my wife fell in love with it. I would say a autumn winter wear but I wear this style all year round. Enough of a difference to get

This has nothing to do with Le Male Elixir other than both having lavender. One is honey-mint, the other is plum-amber. Phantom in Red smells exactly how you would expect a Rabanne version of Side Effect to smell, so mission accomplished. It's fantastic and far better than the scores on here would lead you to believe. Absolute banger at discount prices.

My favorite release of the year so far, this smells so good guys and its absolutely nuclear in performance, sillage, longevity, projection, its all there. This is a better 1 Million Royal with a sprinkle of 1 Million Prive. Compliment factor is through the roof as well, its a homerun for me. This is also the best Phantom in the line hands down..

Phantom In Red smells exactly how I thought it would smell... sweet, easy to like and a definite people pleaser. I can definitely smell Vanilla although it’s not officially listed, I like it a lot although I think I prefer last years ‘Elixir’ flanker a little more. Overall it’s a decent scent and it is unmistakably Rabanne.

Another great flanker from the Phantom line. They get alot of hate because of the bottle style for some reason, but never the juice, because it lasts and projects like crazy! This one in particular even touches niche levels with the amazing scent and longevity. Definitely more mature than the original tho!

The opening has a bright sweetness and spice but on the dry down it is quite reminiscent of Dolce & Gabanna's The One EDP (the gradient bottle version), but with better sillage and performance. Great date night fragrance year round, and solid daily for colder weather

There's NO oud. Notes from shopping site: Top notes: Bergamot, Plum Liqueur, Saffron. Middle notes: Lavender, Sage, Clary Sage, Orange Blossom. Base notes: Amber, Tobacco, Benzoin. Just ordered yesterday when it went available, looks interesting

Great release! Its a mix of 1 million royal 1 million elixir and the plum in le male elixer. Vanilla isn’t listed but it’s definitely there the whole way through Safe blind buy if you like any of the above.

I like this, I am satisfied with my purchase, it’s vibrant masculine smell, it’s similar to the victory elixir, not exactly but has the same darkish sexy vibe as its base.

Finally got to smell this today in Sephora. The opening of this was eye openings to my nose it smelled very red berry/berrys and cream mix but that only lasted for maybe 5 mins then it dried down to a complete different direction on my skin and turned into a warm amber style powdery scent kinda like how scandal does. But has the OG Phantom dna sitting in the background as well throughout the fragrance Was a bit underwhelmed the best part is the opening which is short lived. Last pretty decent it’s kinda airy. I really tried to like the phantom line I owned the OG and the intense but ended up selling them. I sprayed 1 million lucky and I got to say the “one million” & “Invictus” line in my opinion blow the phantom line out the water....... And it’s not even close.

This is very nice. I sampled it on two different days at Sephora. I smelled the sweet Phantom scent but with more of a fruity opening. This flanker lacks that slight smokey note in the other versions of Phantom. Instead, I picked up an apple type fruity-ness which is how I interpret the saffron and plum mix. I don't care what the bottle looks like. This is a fragrance I'd wear all year round. I didn't get a full wearing, but on initial tries, loved it.

The best Phantom to date by far. The lavender and amber opening is fantastic. The only issue I had was about 15 minutes later you start to notice the oud. Normally that wouldn’t bother me but it comes off way to leathery to me and I am really not into prominent leather frags lately... So this will be a pass for me. I would strongly recommend sampling before hand if leather isn’t your jam.... I am glad I did.

it's pretty good. you pick up on the plummy note in the opening and then when it dries down you start picking up on the orange blossom and tobacco. smells like a spicy creamsicle in the drydown. it has weak longevity as most Paco Rabanne's do, but the projection is decent. it's a very nice cologne overall that could be worn by women, too if they wish to do so

All the hate for this phantom line is weird. They're unique and smell great. I have 2 now and love both. This one has a great plum liquor hit on the top and lays down to a luxurious amber and woods accord with an almost black liquorice hint. Very nice. Goes to the top of my rotation for sure.

Amber aromatic lavender to my nose (female), skin test very nice. I almost get a green Irish tweed vibe with the aromatic smooth talc-like feel... modern thiugh. Phantom red feels like an easy reach scent. Work, casual, out and about..

It's pretty similar to JPG Le Male Elixir Absolu thanks to the plum and lavender but it's a bit darker, smokier, and not as loud and in your face. It's good, it has it's own place, it just doesn't scream "new" or unique

Spicy oud tobacco brandy like sitting in a huge wooden extravagant home, like those from the 80's series, just more modern.

One of the better sweet lavender scents. Fairly synthetic, but smells good. Not a must have.

Reminds of elixir but has a nice punch,lasts 12 hours

Modern, citrus scent; some mint, vanilla, opening is aromatic. Notes of sweet orange, it becomes a little powdery, has a creamy rose aroma. Nutty tonka, more citrus, some vetiver. More vanilla, soft woods then patchouli. Performance wasn't great on me, overall it has a delicate composition and is quite a light scent. Also I can't agree with the notes shown, they certainly do not reflect what I smelt. It's youthful, unisex, more of a day scent, good for year round application and fine for the office. Bottle looks cool, if you're a collector it's a no brainier, but that aside, I found it underwhelming.

As mentioned before, this smells like JPG Le Male Elixir with a slight touch of that Phantom DNA in the background. The iris here is powdery and the amber is warm providing a noticeable lipstick note. That lipstick nuance makes it lean more feminine than I expected, especially considering the listed notes. Overall rating: 7.45/10

Um perfume genérico ao extremo, lavanda, âmbar e madeira, apenas. Não há nada de “red” nele. Perfume infantil, 100% unissex, feito para adolescentes, para climas amenos. Levando em conta essas duas coisas (genérico e juvenil), é um bom perfume, mas não vale metade do que cobram.

This isn't bad and it's my favorite from the Phantom line so far, but the notes make it seem much more interesting than it really is. The comparisons with Le Male Elixir are weird. They are not similar.

It's like the original but with plum, saffron and some smokiness..It starts off interesting but I dislike the amber wood dry-down which smells like every other Men's fragrance. I might return it.

I accidentaly came after this one in the shop in the brand section trying to acquire another bottle of Invictus absolu( as im not fond of such scent profile in general) and all i can say is it has nothing special to offer to me. I find it to be a crossover between le male elixir and swy lines ( which im not a fan either). The lady still gave me testers as a gift , i still gave it a try, put it on and gosh, my wife and friends hated it. Maybe because its more of a juvenile scent and im in my 30s... who knows. All i can say, this thing really does perform well , lasted before i washed it off by the end of the day, and projected well for couple hours. If you're really into this type of scents, it gets its job done, and the price over here with -40% discounters is really invitive.

I initially liked this fragrance and wore it often. But as time has gone on, I've grown to dislike it. It's not the worst fragrance in the world. Far from, in fact. But I am not the biggest fan of florals and find this is too heavy on them now.
