Pure XS For Her

Okay, let me start this review by stating that this too has been REFORMULATED. And of course it isn’t just that the package has been changed. I recently got it as a blind buy, in discount and I got the 100ml bottle (2023 batch code). Right away I noticed that the package was shiny and not the more luxurious velvet box it once had been and I had seen on reviews. I was crestfallen at first because experience has taught me that when the box and bottle changes, the juice inside has been altered too. But, as I hadn’t got to smell the initial one, I experienced trying just the reformulation with nothing to compare it to). Regardless, I loved it. I could pick up on first notes a wonderful Olympea+Olympea intense combo (only it was a combo of the aspects I loved most of the 2 perfumes, minus the notes that were clashing and were too much). So, all in all a great improvement compared to those two perfumes. After a bit -the first notes rarely last more than a few minutes on me- the flowers,the vanilla and some buttery yumminess start peaking through, all mixed and very well blended together. After a while, as the perfume evolves and moves to the heart notes, I pick up most buttery orange blossom and it is divine! This phase lasts the most, and you get the Yang ylang and the coconut in the background, also very well blended and not too prominent. This phase is a joy to sniff at! As the perfume moves to its base notes, you are left with a more vanillic buttery aftermath of the flowers. In all its phases, this perfume is lovely, I rarely get to say that I love all the phases of a perfume. Also, I had hoped when I blind-bought this, that I would get the buttery popcorn note most mentioned in their reviews, and I did, at least I get the yummy buttery aspect of it. I am not sure if there is an actual popcorn note per say, but I think a caramel used version for this would have been even better ,but as I had never had caramelised popcorn (just the regular one), I am a bit unsure how it actually smells in real life, however, I can imagine. In any case, this note, this ‘butteriness’ really suits the perfume, so don’t fear this! ————- Yesterday, I travelled with some friends and I got to a big reputable cosmetic store, and I found the original one, a last 50ml bottle with a 2018 batch code (the year it was first released) also on a 30% discount and I snatched it, since I had planned to get a backup bottle of the initial one, had I ever had the chance to come across it in a physical store. This is amazing too, not much difference in the notes you pick up (meaning it isn’t that you will get a different perfume than the first, thankfully), however, this is richer, warmer, with more amber, more gourmand and each phase develops more slowly, lasts longer, the projection is better, and the sillage too. With the reformulation as usual, they weakened the juice. Also in the newest version the flowers especially the orange blossom is a bit more prominent than in the older version. I will keep this for winter colder weather, and the 100ml newer version for spring and summer, as it is lighter and ‘airier’. However, both can be worn in any season, if you are not an oversprayer with the initial one. Mind you, it is a very hot summer weather here in Greece as I am testing them here side by side. ———- Now, on to the CHANGES of the 2 versions: OLDER/INITIAL VERSION: Packaging: velvet box with indented and a bit textured golden letters in front, and golden lettered info on the back as well as on the bottom of the box. Juice/perfume colour: rich,ambery colour Bottle: bottle shape and snake shape the same, with shiny golden letters of the ‘pure xs’ logo. Snake scales a bit more pronounced on this one (not noticeable difference with the newest). Golden rim shown under the cap., and the whole sprayer part to the rim noticeable under the cap is all golden and metallic.The sprayer sprays evenly and and well enough (more dispersed sprays) and feels way better than the newest version. The plastic cup is heavy and feels very well made weight-wise. At the bottom of the bottle, perfume details engraved on the glass. Perfume Perforrmance: richer, warmer, more ambery, develops slowly, lasts longer and projects more - more suitable in colder weather but also wearable in all weather conditions if not oversprayed. More gourmand, very well blended. Peach and popcorn undenotes more pronounced NEWEST/REFORMULATED VERSION: Packaging: shiny box with shiny slightly indented logo letters in front. On the back, smaller more muted (not golden) letters of perfume info as well as on the bottom of the box. Juice/perfume colour: lighter more rosy colour (kind of resembles the colour of the box but it is difficult to tell the exact colour on the new one, as in both versions the bottle glass is coloured and gradient (darker on top, lightens as it goes further down, however, the colour difference in between the oldest and newer version is quite noticeable!) Bottle: logo letters in front muted and not shiny golden, on the bottom of the glass the perfume info lettering is also engraved on the glass. No golden rim shown under the cap, as the whole sprayer part is all black plastic. Sprayer not as good as the initial as it sprays in a more concentrated stream. Cap is a much lighter plastic that feels cheaper weight-wise. Perfume Perforrmance: lighter, airier, more floral (yet with gourmand aspects), develops faster, lasts less than the initial version and doesn’t project as much - more suitable in spring and warmer weather but also wearable in all weather conditions. Also, very well blended. Coconut and ylang ylang undernotes more pronounced. ————— Love them both for different reasons, love the initial one more since it ticks all the boxes (even package and bottle-wise) ————— Edit: the ambrette and amberwood at the dry down of the perfume are more prominent on the original one making it kind of unisex smelling for those whose skin tends to accentuate the earthy,woody notes (and mine does), so keep that in mind too, whereas the reformulation practically lacks these notes. Also a reason to wear the original one in colder weather.

I don’t understand how La Belle gets so much attention while this poor gem is overlooked. I wasn’t immediately in love with it, but it grew on me. It gets a lot of compliments. Performs better in medium to cooler weather. Kind of vanishes in scorching heat, but so do many of my scents. Only an issue for others who live in the 105 degree Fahrenheit dry sunny desert in the summer. Spring and fall in my climate is when this girl shines. It’s a million times better than any of the Black XS flankers. I blind bought and immediately resold some of those. This little gem is created by Quentin Bisch, the same nose that created la belle, Delina, and all the best perfumes that are most loved by women with taste who aren’t complaining Karens or niche snobs. I’ve been wearing this scent for a few years. My husband loves it. It’s actually one I grab whenever I’m looking for a daytime fruity cheerful scent to wear running errands. I don’t like many straight up fruity body spray type scents, they seriously scream at me. This is light but not too sheer, with the popcorn note that when sweetened by this scent, makes me think of a sugary fruity corn breakfast cereal gourmand. It sounds strange but works very well. I wasn’t into the sol de Janeiro scents at all, but I feel like this is in the same family as those types of scents. The SDJ frags though all smell quite cheap cloying and synthetic on my skin, but this is more expensive. This is quality. This does for me what I hoped the SDJ frags would. I’m surprised there weren’t more flankers made by the same perfumer. I personally attribute any lack of success of this fragrance to the underwhelming other flankers in this line, which all felt very flat cheap and stale with no discernible interesting notes. I’m not seeing this scent for sale much anymore. I guess it’s probably getting discontinued. Frankly I think Paco should have QB redesign the rest of the line + some new flankers and relaunch it. I just bought 2 backup bottles, because discontinued or not, I’m not ready to part with this one. I never noticed any reformulation with this over the years, though I did have a messed up nose from Covid for awhile that made this and some of my other frags hard to smell/made me rapidly go nose blind. I never lost my smell from covid but it did make some perfumes/notes more synthetic plasticky and headachey for a brief time, pure XS excluded. This is a tough scent to describe, but honestly to me, I read it as a similar vibe alternative to La Belle. Light and fruity, only Pure XS is a slightly tropical popcorn gourmand and La Belle is a spiced vetiver style scent that makes me think of the holidays and pie. Summer and winter. Different, enough to own both for sure, but feel like they should be worn by the same girl. This also can totally be an Olympea flanker. Every Olympea flanker I try smells nothing like the original. The Pure XS popcorn note is at least a little salty which makes it feel way more like Olympea than any of the current Olympea flankers. They both have a similar PR light sweet summery vibe too.

I’ve seen reviews saying this has the Black Opium, La Belle, Good Girl, and Olympea DNA. Well, I haven’t smelled all these perfumes yet but if that’s the vibe it gives? Then I’ll definitely enjoy these perfumes as much as I enjoyed Pure XS. Here are some additions to the roster—perfumes that smell like this pretty babe: Classic Ari EDP, Beyoncé Heat, and SDJ Cheirosa 62. If we had to mix all of the perfumes I mentioned, it’d be Pure XS’ frankenstein version (sounds lovely to me) The reason why I got this perfume was because of its bottle 🐍 which is the same reason why I bought my signature scent: Mugler Aura. I also wanted to buy it because it has shared notes with Aura. Well... obvi they’re not close at all lmaooo but they share that same lovely ylang-ylang note that does not smell like cat piss. I also got intrigued by the popcorn note, which made me crave for this perfume like I just HAD to HAVE it, I was badly ITCHING for it. Sure, the popcorn note was there but it wasn’t as salty and buttery like what most people claimed. I wanted this to be as salty as a briny anchovy (ew?) but it wasn’t even one bit salty to me. Mugler Aura was surprisingly saltier even if salt wasn’t a listed note. An exact description of how this smells to my nose is “grape soda with grape jelly and plain freshly cooked popcorn on the side”. You know what it exactly smells like tho? The viral fruit-shaped jelly snacks that people had to pop using their teeth. EXACTLY LIKE THAT. The other fruits are undetectable. I would’ve never guessed this had coconut and peach notes lol it’s simply a loud grape to my nose. A LOUD SYRUPY GRAPE FLAVORED MEDICINE. (Which I love bc I enjoy medicinal smelling fragrances) If you’re a creamy, caramely, vanilla cake gourmand girlie, please, don’t even bother getting this bc it won’t be for you :( This was way fruitier than I expected. Though It does get creamy and caramel-like in the dry down it’s still extremely muffled by its grape syrup facet. The grapey note doesn’t seem to go anywhere from initial spray until the perfume completely wears off. Nonetheless, it’s definitely in the same threshold of scent profiles I consider as my signature. Regarding projection and longevity, longevity is pretty good but projection isn’t as strong as I expected but it could only be me? 🤷 I’d be convinced that I get easily noseblinded by it but idk, Mugler Aura is hella strong and I still get whiffs of it after 22 hours with just a single spray. I’ll have to keep testing Pure XS but so far I love it !! Definitely one of my top 4 signature scents. I just know this will be my biggest dent alongside Aura my babe 🐍🍃 Edit: Sprayed this before sleep and 11 hours after, it’s still there, it lingers but it’s pretty tame. I guess this perfume just isn’t loud lol

I loveeee this !! Delicious syrupy peachy popcorn - cute and sexy ! On me the first pray is straight up syrupy peaches - they smell like these jelly sticks I’d get from the Asian shop as a kid or one of those little jellies in a cup that was normally sold in a massive plastic bear or jar also from the Asian store - gives me nostalgia of being little and downing 4 of those and struggling to get the jelly out of the tube. For me the popcorn doesn’t come until later but once it’s there it’s there to stay! I own the reformulated version without the gold ring in the cardboard box and found the popcorn note comes during dry down and super strong too - smells like salty caramel popcorn that’s been slightly burned (in the best way possible sooo yummy! And peach syrup. The tester in the shop was the old version with the gold ring and found I didn’t get as much popcorn from that however smelled really similar to Olympea. The reformulated version somehow has more popcorn on me then the original - guess my skin chemistry is weird but it’s a good thing in this case as I love love love the popcorn note - I almost didn’t want to buy it due to reviews saying the popcorn note is basically gone after reformulation but it seemed to work out ! For those wanting the popcorn note I can suggest to wait a little bit and clear the atomiser for me the first few sprays where just straight up peach syrup. I’ve only worn it one day and got heaps of compliments - I think this works for any Occassion day or night in any weather but probably best for a date night or something as it does have a really sexy undertone. I’m currently wearing it in the Australian summer and she smells beautiful. Can’t wait to try her in the winter - longevity and silliage amazing creating an initiate scent bubble that follows Blindly bought the reformulated one a full 80ml bottle and luckily with no regrets - definitely wanna make this a staple in my collection.

I bought and reviewed this last summer and was very unimpressed with the performance. It would vanish without a trace after an hour or so and was so soft I could barely read it. Well, I’ve whipped the bottle out a bunch of times throughout the fall, winter, and spring and must say it’s quite lovely. It doesn’t scream uniqueness or overpower the room, but it works great in temps below 75-80f with a bit of humidity. If you have long dry hot California summers, this may not perform well for you at all on hot days. But it’s lovely the rest of the year. It reminds me of a sweeter almost candy version of Olympea. I think I mentioned before that this has a bit of a captn crunch berries cereal vibe-fruity sugar with a bit of a salty savory edge that works well with body chemistry and results in a scent that is more gourmand than flowery perfume but unique enough to distinguish itself from the common fruity mall chain store body sprays. Even though this isn’t my favorite scent I own, it’s a nice and easy go-to. My spouse compliments it a lot whenever I wear it. On cooler days sprayed on clothes and hair, this will easily last 6 hours or more. Sometimes I can smell it on old laundry. I reordered a bottle since I wasted so much trying to get this to work last summer. Maybe this works well in some warm climates, I wish it was a better scent for the hot dry desert, but mostly I need to stick to cool days with this one. It just vanishes too fast in the hot hot heat of summer sun. But it’s a crowd pleaser for sure, even though I’d describe it as a more youthful scent girls would love to wear to the club, it’s frequently complimented among 35+ year olds as well.

I. AM. LIVING. This precious gem is something else. Okay, I might be a little too overwhelmed by this one, but I can't help myself. I love perfumes that include some random interesting ingredient that doesn't make any sense to include it, but when it's done properly it can be so nice! My friend showed me this on her and I instantly fell in love. I didn't realize it was popcorn until she said that it contained some and that's what makes this perfume so lovely for me. I consider my all time fav to be Olympea and Poison girl since the day I first tried them, and this one falls into the same category. It has this random note inside that makes the whole boring vanilla scent something more. Don't get me wrong, I love vanilla perfumes, naturally, but I've lately grown to be kind of bored by them, since they all seem to play the same song. This one on the other hand, for me, starts off with pure popcorn mixed with ylang-ylang and of course, vanilla. It then shows bits of coconut notes and orange blossom that lingers for a long time followed with vanilla. I don't really get any musk from it, it mainly settles with vanilla and a tiny bit of sandalwood. I'd like to believe that the popcorn stays there until the last few notes, but I'm not sure if it truly is there or if only I want it to be there so bad haha. Basically the perfume resembles a mixture of Olympea and Dior Poison Girl imo, but less intense and with a nice note of popcorn. The bottle is also really cute. Definitely in my top 5 picks!

This perfume is the love of my life... This is me in a bottle, the true me.. Very poetic I know.. The first time I smelled this beauty was in 2020 and since then, it's my go to fragrance when I feel I have important decisions to make.. In the beggining I had only a sample and I was a design student, so my go to fragrance was Zara gourmand addict, a perfume in the same scent category which I still cherish and have a bottle from then till this day. That sample was wore in a few "important" days till it was gone. The first bottle I had was a 50ml from 2022 (there's a review of mine from that year below) - that was wore everytime I had a gut feeling that something big / decisive was about to happen like events or gatherings... Also wore in special occasions like my birthdays I'm currently wearing a 2024 80ml bottle and I'll buy again and again... And again. I'll enlist the many facets I met of this perfume throughout the years I wore, sometimes you need to smell it for a long period to catch wiffs of everything, and I can tell that this one smells of every single notes it enlists: Creamy Floral Buttery salty Fruity Woody Incensy Lactonic Cozy Fresh.. Then warm.. Sexy Fun Determined Mysterious Alluring Addictive Unique Feline East meets the west Versatile Long lasting Projecting Invigorating I can wear this anywhere and everywhere, anytime and everytime ❤️

This powerhouse is now my signature perfume. Shes just magical for me. Everything I personally want in a bottle. Florals, sweetness, musk, woody notes. Price is extremely affordable. She’s not “love at the first spray” for me, I was unsure about her for the first 30 minutes as all I smelled was overwhelming generic floral. BUT then she is definitely growing on me afterwards as I really really like the delicious buttery popcorn tinge lingering in the scent. She is intensely floral but has a unique vanila sweetness adding to it. When it’s dry down there’s a scent of powdery white musk, which I absolutely love as it reminds me of jasmine tea. The more I use her the more I love her. The sillage is stronggg. Everyone can smell me from 6 feet and I leave a trail for the first 4 hours. But that is what I like so I am not complaining it at all 😂! My mother couldn’t stand her when I sprayed a lot because she found it too overpowering especially in the car. People also said she could smell me from long distance as I walked by. She does last a long time so definitely worth the money in my opinion. The bottle is really aesthetic with the snake on top of it, kinda look a bit sinister but it smells innocently sweet although ylang ylang is known to be a “sexual” provoking scent😊. I will be cherishing her for awhile 💓💓💓

This... surprised me, in the best way possible. Put it on, thought it kinda smelled like Black Opium without the coffee note. Meh, I thought. Then, I got to work - instantly, I was getting compliments. After compliments. After compliments. And people inhaling deeply, wafting the air toward their noses with their hand, and going "mmmm!". This has literally never happened to me before, and I always thought people were exaggerating when they say they experience this, lol. As a perfume-nut, who has always dreamed of finding a perfume that made people react like this to me, I couldn't be more elated with my purchase. Even if I personally don't find this to be something groundbreaking (smells kinda like Black Opium, but also like Good Girl in the dry-down - though, I definitely smell the buttery popcorn, which is the unique and fun aspect to this perfume), I will be making this my signature scent due to the compliments I keep receiving. I also think it's a very calming, soft, your-skin-but-better type of scent. Very sweet, but not headache-inducing, and somehow sophisticated and clean. Not ground-breaking, but definitely nice. And if it can make people react like I've described, then it must be something special somehow, right? :) Love!

I cannot pick up on any notes in this perfume - I can only say it smells like a "generic female perfume" if it makes sense. I think when there are too many notes mixed in the perfume has a vibe not a scent lol, and I genuinely don't know how people can pick up on any of the notes. I hate "generic" smelling perfumes but this one I love. If I concentrate really hard I am picking up on some fruitiness and floralness with some woody or heavier background to ground it a little bit, but the fruitiness is too sharp for the heavier background to come forth, however it is what makes the perfume sexy and sultry, and not just sweet or fruity. This perfume feels super sexy, seductive, with a touch of sweetness, and it's also sharp (in a good way.) It reminds me of confident, beautiful, boss women lol. Bear with me - think of a beautiful, sexy, rich woman feeling herself on a date night, or having a drink alone. It projects pretty well I would say so over spraying it might cause headaches. It lasts around 2, maybe 3 hours when it's impossible to not notice it, and then it dries down to a softer vanilla lasting for about 1-2 hours more. The dry down is really intimate. Definitely a safe blind buy.

If you’ll be at the Thessaloniki airport in the next time, grab a bottle of this. They still have a few bottles from the original version! I’m honest, I saw the bottle and wanted it, then I smelled it and fell in LOVE. I’m a sucker for warm gourmand scents and this is right up my alley. There was this sweetness I couldn’t really put a finger on but when I read that there was a popcorn note it made sense. I have quite a collection of perfumes but this one goes trough the most stages on my skin. At first the Ylang Ylang, coconut and orange blossom come through very strongly, after 1-2h the musk and the peach develop and after 3-5 hours it settles more and more into a warm woody, floral, vanilla, popcorn scent. The longevity is crazy! I strongly smell the warm, sweet and woody tones on my skin 24h after putting it on. I never smelled the newer version but if you get your hands on the old version I HIGHLY recommend to give it a try. I was very hyped to wear some of my perfumes on the colder days but since I have this I wore nothing else. I also recommend to layer this with Golden Sand oil by AlRehab, it’s SO good.

the first two days I wore this it reminded me of poison girl in the opening to right before dry down. Then third day as i m driving to work I smell this gorgeous powdery creamy scent and at that moment I fell in love with this now I also have the deodorant which is also amazing and actually effective. It still has a resemblance to poison girl and Im surprised its not in the reminds me of list. Possibly because the dry down is nothing like PG. there is a note in this that i dont have in any of my many current scents, popcorn? idk what it is but it's what has me so head over heels... perhaps popcorn and ylang ylang which is one of my favorite flower scents, there is just something unique about this one... this is a love for me and Im waiting on another scent from Pacco simply because of how much i loved this one, highly recommend this safe blind buy imo and lats a good 6 hours before i feel the need to re spray. im a heavy sprayer and with this i find im only respraying a couple times a day and most people wouldn't even need to to do that! silliage: 8/10 projection 9/10 longevity 10/10 Scent: 10/10

This fragrance is absolutely stunning. So creamy, comforting and alluring. Upon first spray you get that little hint of orange blossom, and then it settles into a deliciously dreamy, creamy floral vanilla, with the peach and popcorn coming out to play. It is absolutely divine. It creates a gorgeous, inoffensive scent bubble. The longevity is fantastic, and this has gotten me many compliments. Not to forget the bottle itself is gorgeous. This is an absolute 10/10 fragrance. It has a gorgeous warmth and comfort to it, and has a lovely milky drydown. The blend of yellow and white florals is so lovely, and the popcorn note is so fun and just tops it off perfectly. I am so happy this is part of my collection. I believe if you love a fragrance, with the right layering you can make it work all year round, so this is definitely something I will always keep in my collection/rotation, and will make it work in any setting. I want to smell like this always!!

If you know EXO's Kai song "Peaches", then this is exactly how the perfume smells like. If you don't, then all you need to know is that the song opens with a line "Pretty girl, you're like peaches." And that line exactly describes this perfume. It's like you're on a date in a movie theater with your Mr. Perfect, he is stealing your sweet flavored popcorn and you're laughing at his stupid jokes and remarks about the movie you're watching. And when he leans in for a kiss, you can faintly smell his sandalwood and musky perfume. You can still smell your peach shower gel, but now it blends perfectly with the aroma of the sweet popcorn and his scent. Opens with popcorn note, then it blends into a peach scent that lasts for the WHOLE day. I can smell the musk, sandalwood and coconut faintly, but they're definietly not the main stars of the show. I've never smelled anything like this. Needless to say I am in love with this perfume.

La Belle is one of my favorite perfumes, and this is similar to my nose albeit far more loud and playful. At first, the grape bubblegum-like scent took me aback, but it dissipated quickly. The popcorn note isn't nearly as strong as I expected or wanted. Not getting any coconut either, but that's fine as it's not one of my favorite notes. Dry down is super sweet, floral fruity candy. I think I'll appreciate this more when the weather turns colder. Still a fun, "unusual in a good way" fragrance to have in my collection. :) **8/13/25 Update - Today I'm wearing this on my clothing rather than my skin, and OMG it's wonderful! I can't stop sniffing my shirt. For my body chemistry, the note combination shines better on fabric and is less fruity, candy-like and floral. I'm getting more of the popcorn, vanilla and musk.

Sprayed this at the airport and INSTANTLY fell in love!!! this is such a UNIQUE, sweet vanilla dream!!! It’s a sexy gourmand with grown-woman, old-money energy (think jewellery, silk, and quiet luxury vibes) !! it also became my signature scent during my Japan trip so maybe I’m a little biased because it’s tied to core memories lol... at first sniff, I couldn’t even pick out specific notes tbh it just wrapped me in this "90s IT GIRL, strutting-the-runway in slow motion" kinda aura!!! but THEN the dry-down hits... and it turns into the CREAMIEST, MILKIEST VANILLA POPCORN scent EVER. YUMMMMM... (I just wish it screamed a bit louder)!! but I HIGHLY recommend if you want a scent that feels timeless, feminine, and lowkey addictive. 10/10 would re-spray again and again!!!

This was a blind buy for me after reading the notes which I assumed would be for me. I do like this perfume, but it's not a love for me. From smelling the bottle I get the buttery creamy popcorn note, but on first spray to me the popcorn note disappears. I then get a slightly tropical, buttery smell. After which the floral notes take over. I do think they can takeover if you overspray. Overall its a definite like for me, but if the popcorn note lasted this would be a love for me. Update: totally in love with this perfume now. I've kept using it periodically since I got it and the caramel/popcorn notes come through all of the time now. Still get the yellow floral but not as overbearing as when I first used this.

This is such an interesting but very pleasant and enjoyable perfume. It’s so unique. But it is nice not weird like some unique perfumes can be. It’s not going to be your easy everyday reach as there may be days where you don’t feel like smelling this or smelling like it, but that’s what makes it a great addition to a perfume collector. This isn’t your typical signature perfume. But with that said, it is nice!! The popcorn note is subtle but there, as are the florals and fruits and vanilla. It reminds me a little bit of black opium in the way that they blend coffee and vanilla with fruits and florals, this blends that sweet nutty scent of popcorn with vanilla fruits and florals and it just works!

Sexy. Fun. Feminine And lasts near 24 hours with gentle projection that is never too much. On me caramel dominates, with floral heart and vanilla background but it feels complex and is never boring. The popcorn note is adorable here. I love to feel it around. Especially in summer, but it is good for the entire year. The caramel here is light and coupled with popcorn. It is never oppressive or heavy. I do have a thing for Rabanne creations it seems. They hold my inner self at teenage years, or maybe the ghost of my twenties.
