Pure XS Night

We have found Ultra Male's Twin!! Okay seriously though, this does smell almost exactly like ultra male, if you were blind smelling them side by side you wouldn't notice many differences. So let's start this review off by talking about the differences Pure XS night is very sweet which you'd know by reading the notes and so is Ultra male, but this is better because the sweetness is more balanced and a little bit softer and sexier. While ultra male smells closer to cotton candy or bubblebum, Pure XS night smells more like vanilla & cinnamon. The opening you can definitely smell cinnamon, I actually hate cinnamon but this is done so well that I quite like it. The cinnamon isn't harsh or overpowering, but it's perfectly balanced with the vanilla and the opening of this is also more fresh compared to ultra male. (Edit) - I was wrong ultra male is slightly more fresh due to the pear note in it but this is still nice You cannot smell cacao, in this fragrance though. This fragrance is sexy, sweet, calm, warm...like the name suggests it's a night time fragrance but also good to be worn in colder months and on dates. It's a very likeable fragrance, something which you won't hate if you buy it but it may be subjective if you prefer clean & fresh over sweet which I know a lot of people lean more towards clean and fresh. So just know this isn't clean or fresh at all, it almost smells edible like something you'd want to eat and it will get you compliments from girls and they will also want to eat you (Edit) - i've had more time to test the performance out on this and I take back what I said before I edited this, the performance of this is beast mode and it last all day maybe even 2 days "on clothes". My sister was cooking food and had lots of garlic and she said all she could smell in the kitchen was my pure xs night and it's that strong it will fill up a whole room and has plenty of silage that will leave a scent trail where ever you go. Although my mistake was thinking this doesn't perform very good on the initial skin test I did so I oversprayed this on my clothes and yep it's a strong boy!! this stuff got some power If you love ultra male, you will love Pure XS night. However if you also love sweet vanilla fragrances then you'll love this too. The dry down is mainly vanilla only and it loses that cinnamon, so when it's completely dry it will be just like a very good vanilla fragrance which is hard to hate because everyone loves vanilla. While ultra male on the dry down still retains a lot of that bubblegum/cotton candy smell it's a little more synthetic, while pure xs night smells more natural What to consider before buying this - I've heard people say Pure XS the original is better than PXS night, personally i've never smelled the original but consider trying both and comparing which one you like more. For price value, this is a great fragrance and really worth the value I rate this a 9/10 that's because it's really really good just usually with sweet fragrances they could be balanced out with some freshness. Although i've heard the original Pure xs is slightly more fresh so I may consider buying the original next after this since I loved this so much (edit - also did I mention this fragrance is totally unisex and doesn't smell masculine so ladies you can enjoy this scent too)

Out of all the sweet/coumarin-heavy fragrances released recently (Armani Code Absolu, Stronger With You Intensely, Givenchy Gentleman EDP, etc.) Pure XS Night would likely be my first pick because of its sheer wearability, balanced composition, and strong performance. Beware however that Pure XS Night is probably the most juvenile of the lot and is more suited for informal wear. Having smelled both the original Pure XS and Pure XS Night and owning a bottle of the latter, I believe the two have little in common. The original gives off a fizzy Coca Cola vibe and starts off with a busy/fresh opening. Pure XS Night on the other hand is more woody, sweet and linear; the scent is also much harder to describe. The flanker does follow the gourmand trend set by the original with a heavy dose of vanilla and a caramel-like accord, but there's more to it. Pure XS Night's sweetness has a bit of an underlying "burnt" quality that some may attribute to the ginseng and cocoa notes; it reminds me of slightly burnt lace oatmeal cookies that my family used to cook for Christmas. The fragrance's woodiness also veers towards gourmandish territory, one that reminds me of a freshly opened bag of puffed wheat. This woodiness provides a nice balance and ensures the scent doesn't feel sickly sweet, powdery, or cloying. Add to that a bit of an animalic undertone from the myrrh and you end up with a strangely inviting and alluring fragrance, addictive for the nostalgia it evokes without quite letting you put your finger on what you're recalling. In terms of performance, Pure XS Night absolutely thwarts the original in both longevity and projection. I get solid wafts of Night 6+ hours after applying no more than 2 sprays, whereas the original turned into a skin scent after 3 hours or so. This does come at the cost of worse versatility; the original was definitely on the more light/transparent side whereas this one should be reserved for fall & winter. In short, Pure XS Night is a definite "love" from me. Don't believe the skewed ratings and smell it for yourself.

At first blast Pure XS Night will remind you of at once many colognes... TM Amen Pure Havane, JPG Ultra Male, Azarro Wanted By Night. But after a few minutes PXS NIGHT starts to take a a different route which retains an underlying sweetness of the above scents mentioned, but with its own twist. After 2 Hours the scent dries down to its final stage which lasts for its duration. (8 hours) This final stage to me smells like its Predecessor (Pure XS ) But now instead of the vanilla coke drydown we now instead have it in a soda float offering (Vanilla coke with a generous dollop of caramel ice cream lightly sprinkled with cocoa powder. All in all... I LOVE IT. is it familiar? The starting 20 minutes yes it smells like countless recent releases at once, but thereafter it is its own beautiful creation. This scent is a warm sexy scent that is best felt and smelt in the embrace of the one wearing it (or so i have been told on the two occasions that ive worn it already). Its autumn here where i am and the weather is perfect right now and the compliments ive recieved on the 2 occasions already compensates for the price ive paid for the 100ml. Simply put Ladies love it, to a point where ive had a few hug me a few seconds longer than necessary and inhaled deeply whilst their respective partners eyed me warily. So yeah that alone shows its allure to the opposite sex. Scent- 9 out of 10 (mmm a caramel soda float) Longevity- 8 out of 10 (8 hours) Sillage-7 out of 10 (Disperses at arms length for max 2 hours and then becomes a close scent that will be smelt if they hug you or are extremely close to you.) Get it now while its still an unknown scent and own the scent and the compliment factors before it joins the ranks of scents that are so common it seems as if they pump it out of the airconditioning of every club that exists.

Pure XS Night for me was a LOVE at first sniff. I have never gotten my nose on the original but from what I hear it has a sweeter coca cola vibe whereas I don't detect that at all with this. Pure XS Night is definitely a sweet and dark fragrance. In the opening I get an Ultra Male vibe, but as this dries down the magic happens. The best way I can describe it is a sweet/dark/resinous freshness which I know does not make sense at all. An extremely sexy scent perfect for fall/winter. I plan on wearing this casually and for going out in the evening. Performance is excellent. I put one spray on my wrist to test it out, took a shower that same night, and could still detect it the next morning and even into the afternoon which is insane. It does sit closer to the skin, not as loud as Ultra Male, which to me is a good thing. Haven't gotten any opinions from the opposite sex yet but I can't see anyone disliking this. I am confused as to why this is not on any fragrance counters in the US. For a release in March 2019 you would think it would be everywhere but I have not seen any brick & mortar stores carrying this or even offering it on their website. I feel like this might be more of a limited release than the original.

I shouldn't like this nearly as much as I do. It's a distinctly masculine club fragrance, heavy on vanilla and caramel; on paper this is the exact type of thing I usually hate. Looking at the accords, I can nearly picture myself holding my breath while I pass through a sickly cloud of it in the men's bathroom at 1AM. And yet, I love it. Maybe it's the way it's blended, maybe it's the specific ingredients (I do think the myrrh is a factor), but ultimately it doesn't matter; this just works for me in a way that fragrances like this almost never do. Somehow the sweetness never overwhelms, despite having very little to balance it out, and it comes off as infinitely more cozy and than cloying. It reminds me of nothing more than sitting inside a nice bar on a frigid winter night, watching the streets outside through fogged windows, sipping a cocktail that tastes dangerously like an expensive confectionery treat instead of, you know, an alcoholic beverage. I can picture carefully zipping up my heavy parka before stepping into the bracing night air, and I can feel the protective bubble of intoxication sparing me from the cold. Ah, now I've gone and made myself wistful; that's how I know this one's special.

Interesting first wearing of xs pure night just yesterday. So, I applied a small spray of 3 niche ultra expensive scents to each side of my wrist and xs pure night on the other available side. After some time checked to see how each was doing. The fragrance du bois on all 3 sides was turning into a typical opulent although cloying affair to varying degrees. Then I tried the other side sprayed earlier, could not remember what I had applied and actually thought it to be the best and most compelling compared to the others. Came back and recalled it was xs pure night. I spend thousands on niche scents and it is quite a eye opener to see what mainstream edp like xs pure night can do in the the initial states of application. What is most impressive is how given its sweet nature there is never that nausea inducing effect like with so many evening/night fragrances niche or otherwise. Forget pretentious overly dramatic scathing attacks on this scent from some quarters. This scent is quite seductive and am sure the vanilla/salted caramel accord will go down well with many females.

Got the 100ml and yes an EDP that behaves like an EDP. This may be a designer fragrance but its very niche to me. This fragrance works very well on me. The intensity is great on dry skin like mine and the notes are all very noticeable. With my body chemistry, there is a slight boozy fizzy quality and I love boozy fragrances. It also develops a sweet and salty musk on me reminiscent of pespiration dry down after a good gym workout or a morning run. The dry down gives a deep herbacious spicy incense myrrh note. Is it a sexy fragrance? Yeah to me it is, but any fragrance can be sexy. I find this more of a power scent. This is not the well tailored suit power scent, this is the power scent of an individual who means business, a daring dynamic go getter. I don't really like the shape of the bottle but I love the deep blue black colour and how well the atomiser sprays the fragrance. I will definitely buy 1 to 2 bottles to keep in case of reformulation or in case of this being discontinued due to it being an acquired taste.

The desire to play with the fire gets out of control...Dive into the unknown. Yes to excess.. " and so on, hmm... -Nevermind 96, l'm on, sign me up, what ever, cause l absolutely love this perfume! Every time when l visit perfumerias, l also sniff mens perfumes, and l always have to sniff this perfume and his big brother, the Pure XS, and now, l just couldn't believe my eyes, there l spotted this beauty in a basket, for sale, it was a steel, a big, full, papa-bottle, 3,4 FL.OZ, and, it came home with me 23/4, jippi-je-je-je! And, another BTO, l'm a woman, and l love mens perfumes, and, their perfumes loves my skin, and, hopefully a man irl also will enter my life any minit! Happy april to all of us!

Picked up a 1.7 of this down in Cozumel Mexico at the duty free shop while on a cruise last week. I was shocked to see it there just sitting on the shelf. I don't know what I was thinking, but i definitely pulled a choke job. I should have bought every bottle. I've never smelled anything quite like it. The chocolaty-caramel like accord is simply the best thing I've ever smelled in life. I try to describe this frag to people but I just can't, so I won't. I'll just say it's amazing and I hope I can score another bottle at a reasonable price. But if not, I'll pay up. It's that good. Edit: welp! They've got some 100ml bottles of this on Amazon today (4/19). Seller has good feedback. We shall see I guess, I ordered one, which will give me more pure xs night than I will need for the rest of my life. I live in Florida, so opportunities to wear this are few and far between.

Ok, this one right here...this was an out of the park scent for me. I love EVERYTHING about this. It is sweet, sexy, dark, mysterious, and the sillage is CRAZY. It FILLED my ENTIRE bedroom, AND my hallway! I was wearing this at a church a couple of weeks ago, and it left a trail everywhere I went, including the long hallways. Some guys could even smell it outside (and apparently weren't fans of it saying it smelled like a combonation of TJ Maxx and toxic waste), but whatever! They didn't know it was me. I love this stuff, and it is STRONG. But if you're young guy like me (18 yrs old), this is for you if you like sweet frags. :) Lasts all day! Personally, I do get the comparison to JPG Ultra Male, as a matter of fact I own Lattafa Ramz (Ultra Male clone and I have also owned Ultra Male) and they both smell similar. But there is a decent difference between them.

This is possibly my favourite 'mainsteam' gourmand fragrance. It proudly shows off notes of ginseng at the front (a very underappreciated accord in the fragrance world), set against a rich amber backdrop. Good longevity, although to my mind the sillage is fairly average. I would recommend wearing this fragrance for your own pleasure above all else - I'm not sure it's a major crowdpleaser, although it will go down well with anyone who likes something different (or 'niche'). The only real downside to this fragrance is that it's hard to imagine an occasion where it really fits in. The word 'Night' in the name suggests something like a dinner date, which is about the only occasion I can think of. Want to grab your date's attention with something she has probably never smelled before? This one's for you.

Amazing. This perfume makes me feel almost drunk on the wearer. I have a friend who used to wear this and I recall how this perfume just fixed my attention on him for the whole night. Starts off spicy, as is typical of a lot of male fragances, but then it dries down to this beautifully-crafted gourmand. I could smell all the ''sweet'' notes from the heart to the base. It really is a gorgeous scent, at least on the right skin. Very long lasting with a pretty large sillage. I strongly recommend this fragrance if you're a man who doesn't prematurely judge gourmands as ''girly''. It's definetly a crowd pleaser. Wear it confidently. It's so so so good.

A gorgeous warm, sweet winter fragrance! It reminds me of scents like A*Men and Ultra Male. There's something in here that almost smells like pencil shavings, but it isn't a turnoff. It actually works really well against sweetness of the base notes. This a great all occasions scent for the cold weather. The performance is very good; it will last you all day and people will be able to smell you. I think almost everyone will like this on you, granted you don't overspray. It is a heavy fragrance so the wearer should keep that in mind. But if you are looking for a great winter signature scent, this is definitely worth giving a try! 8.2/10

This is my favorite fragrance in my collection and one of the best Paco Rabanne flankers I own. Frankly, I like Pure XS, but Pure XS Night projects better, has a good longevity (9+ hrs on my skin) and projection. So yeah, it's a small beast fragrance. I don't notice much the gynseng, but I do notice the caramel, the vanilla, the cacau and the Myrrh and they are quite strong on the dry down. Some people notice the cinnamon and the leather, I can't get the wiff of those notes. I recommend this fragrance for winter and fall weathers, you can also apply it during summer nights

This is SO good. I bought 100 ml of this for my man on Christmas last year since I sniffed it at the store, and he just LOVES this. He's fallen in love with this, more than Sauvage and Le Male. I like this one the most because it's sexy and dark, and it has that cacao that makes it a lil daring. It's super sexy, and lasts a long time. He sprays in the morning and I smell it on him instantly when he comes home from work. Mmmmm... Gorgeous scent on a tough man lol. He finished that 1 and I got him a 2nd bottle as a surprise lol. That's how good this is.

On spray - Very similar to Ultra Male without pear note and less sweet. Plus one additional note (which I couldn't tell) After 2 mins - Gets sweeter. Very close to Axe Dark Temptation with Ultra Male undertone. (This made me recall the days when I was in 11th grade in 2009 and some friends would wear Axe Dark Temptation to school. I clearly remember liking the smell so much but I didn't have money to buy it. Do you remember the funny chocolate man TV ad?) After 20mins - Axe Dark Temptation with Myrrh + Cinnamon undertones.

I am shocked seeing the notes on this. They do not accurately represent the fragrance and i cannot believe this is classified as a gourmand. THIS IS ORIENTAL SPICY + mild powder background NOT GOURMAND. SMELL THE FRAG DON'T JUDGE BY NOTES FFS. It is probably my favorite designer. Gives you that designer (y edp etc) base with a couple of nuisances thrown in and drying down as an oriental spicy designer with mild powder base. Very good designer. Longevity bad, projection good Again this is NOT GOURMAND. U people need help.

Smells similar to Ultra Male if you’re smelling it from the atomizer. But once you spray it on, it has this carbonated cola vibe, but turns into this sweet, semi-darkened, slightly powdery vanilla, caramel, chocolate type of smell, but I mostly get vanilla out of that combination. I can’t really pin point how this performs. It’s not a beast off of my skin, but it’s there. Not too loud like Ultra Male, but it’s present enough for someone to smell it off of you within the first couple hours of wear. Solid release!

brilliant re interpretation of Pure XS, this is not as boozy or on your face, still sweet but much more dressed up. I prefer this over the original as it has that armani code profumo/ultra male sweetness added to it, and less sugary vanilla. lasts about the same with original.this is gonna be a compliment galore with crowd around. perfect sexy night time fragrance, not NICHE but easy to wear. when its a little cooler during December/January, use 3 sprays...you are perfect man :) 9.5/10(lovely bottle)

For me, this is one of the best new releases in designer genre! Spicy, cozy, warm, deep, mature but very alluring and pleasing!!! Maybe the best ever XS! I think Paco Rabanne outdone themselves and Pure XS Night to me is a real hit, because it manages to mix in a perfect way attractiveness with warm and complex mature vibes. I didn't have high expectations, but it's a gorgeous scent with beautiful bottle! And finally in this edition the cap is completely removable like any normal scent!
