Ultraviolet Liquid Metal for Men

Yet another excellent UV Summer flanker for men. However of the 3 flankers I've tried so far, Liquid Metal is the third choice, lacking the outstanding inspiration of the other two, being neither as strangely bright as Fluoressence nor as strangely clear/sweet as Liquid Crystal. It almost feels like the unadorned base of the other two upon which they have built their own distinctive characters. Unlike the other two, I also don't 'get' the name as in this case I do not pick up any clever olfactory references or reminders to (liquid) metal. Nonetheless it still works as a modern, light and enjoyable summer fragrance. Recommended.

As a summer series, the UV summer editions are far more worthy than the endless recycling/repackaging of Cool Water and Givenchy Ultramarine. If this is anywhere near as good as UV Fluoressence and UV Liquid Crystal then I can't wait to try it.

I’m a sucker for discontinued scents, so when I found this for well below retail, it was full send. If you’re familiar with the original ultra violet, you’ll find similarities to this - although this has an increased aromatic intensity. In fact, I kind of correlate the aromatic portion of this scent to a metallic smell - which unsurprisingly matches the name. It does have a bit of a dated touch to it - an early 2000’s vibe. Which makes sense, seeing as it was released in 04. It has a dior higher energy vibe to it. While I wouldn’t say this is a “must own” discontinued scent, at the below-retail-price-point, it’s tough to pass up. If you missed this the first time around, and you’re a fan of ultra violet- give it a go. 6/10

It must be my body chemistry. But, this fragrance smells like bug spray on me.
