XS Extreme

A flanker sadly forgotten. Paco rabanne xs Extreme is in the line of the original but denser, richer, more complex and that's why i prefer this to the very good original xs. Petitgrain, bergamot, juniper, pine, oakmoss, rosewood, cedar...all mixed in a perfect way. The original is brighter and it is a lovely juice; the extreme version has a sort of a green - spicy vibe very appealing to my taste. It's not easy to find now, if you like the og or creed Himalaya it's an easy blind buy. For 30 and up, for every seasons, casual and formal events. Good perfomance, a bit more than average. It comes from a time when paco rabanne was still releasing products with quality and creativity.. Paco rabanne xs Extreme è un flanker in linea con l'originale ma più denso, ricco, verde e speziato. This seems to have been completely forgotten as a flanker of what was a very influential fragrance in its heydey and remains relevant today after repackaging. I think I can speak for most lovers of XS that the repackaged version does not have the same "oomph" that the original did, so when I learned there was an XS Extreme, I was very excited to try it. Now, I have no clue how old the bottle I received is or what conditions it was kept in, because what I get when I spray is moss. Moss, rosewood, and more moss. I guess I detect a little bit of the watermelon in the opening but it's largely a moss-heavy affair, and I can't imagine smelling a fragrance like this nowadays after the IFRA restrictions. It gives off a shaving-cream feel, and I disagree with the reviews that say it's playful, because I actually think this fragrance is more of a grown-up version of the original; less fresh, but more distinguished, one that you'd wear to work before you'd apply the original XS for after hours. Longevity of this is excellent -- I can apply it in the evening and still smell it on my arms after I wake up the following morning -- and the fragrance itself smells much better in the air than on skin. If I stick my nose in it, it's just a ton of moss and wood, but through wafts I can get what little fresh aspects are still there. I'm still on the fence about keeping this one, but I do appreciate it. If nothing else, it's a time capsule from an era of perfumery that may not be considered "dated," but is also not even close to now-contemporary trends.

I actually quite like it. It's young and playful, without the querkiness some of the mid-twenties aimed frags have. The mint, juniper and rosewood are quite the main focus, keeping it fresh and slightly tart, whereas the rose is a tiny element for even out. The base is a well rounded deep but not dark leather-cedar. I don't know the other ones, but I think if one doesn't feel comfortable in those deep sweet orientals and neither those sporty aquatic frags from adidas &co I'd recommend a try. I'd like to smell it on a guy, I tested it on me, and to wear it myself it's a tad too masculine...

XS double perfumes were my loved ones for years.so I expected XS extremes(both for men & women) be be extraordinary. I was wrong,as there's nothing in common between these two except mint. but I should confess XS extreme is more playful than the original one.it opens with sharp and cool scents and becoming a bit spicier and then more bitter. using watermelon in the cologne was a clever idea which couldn't survive the fragrance.so I kept my attachment to original XS and then I discovered BLACK XS and I forget all!

My best friend gave it to me yesterday a 5oml of this as gift cus he came from Norway after some time! This one is a bit close to D & G Pour Homme with more longevity but i feel it is more for the younger crowed, which might be some where in their 20s....any way i am trying to play with it some how!....good

Green moss but combined with fresh notes. It's associated with the look of a fresh washed/shaved gentleman. You can wear it in any occasions but I prefer to use it in the morning or during day. It's to casual to wear it in the evening. Because it's a distinguished smell for men with well-groomed looks.
