Hibiscus

Great alternative to Hibiscus Mahajád, Rabdan Hibiscus is a more sweet and jammy alternative, that captures the hibiscus opening and dry down incredibly well. Tried this after having a pretty bad experience with Rue Broca League Premiere and Mangomacumba Spiritica. The green notes in the opening, cassis and peppermint are quite lacking, if not potentially absent. Though this is a new bottle that has yet to macerate, so I am open to changing my mind later. The ability of Rabdan Hibiscus to capture the true essence of Hibiscus and maintain the warmer notes of leather, cinnamon, and ambrette is impressive though. While less complex, Rabdan has done well to capture that signature hibiscus scent. The only qualms I have about the Rabdan Hibiscus is the availability, at approx. $123 USD ($97 on Niche Gallery), it is only affordable in relation to the original scent. Which would be fine if the cost of international shipping and the import tariff did not effectively add on another $40 dollars. Despite that, I still fully believe that Rabdan may be a house worth looking out for clones. I just hope in the future that Joma Shop or another platform starts to adopt their scents. 8/10
