Lovers of agrestic fragrances really should invest in AER's Discovery set. Ted Young-Ing and Stefan Kehl are perfumers who uncompromisingly combine the most potent of natural materials. Sampling their work is like taking an expertly-guided tour through remote forests and distant plantations. Considering Nagarmotha's reputation as “the world’s worst weed,” this ayurvedic herb packs a tremendous punch in this, AER's first Accord. It is bitter, dry and intensely pungent. As it dries down, the grassy note (vetiver on steroids) is joined by a lemony incense arising from a bed of herbs. My only regret is that the fragrance lies very close to the skin after its initial impact is felt. That said, the overall effect is quite exquisite, once you are reconciled to the rawness and brevity of the materials at work here. Agrestic heaven!

Lays extremely close to the skin after an hour or so.

Very dark, and very dense. Heavy smoke. Nagarmotha, cedar, patchouli. Neither masculine, nor feminine. Definitely not a 'people pleaser'. Exceptionally strong. The quality is very high as with all AER perfumes. It's not bad, it's just very far away from my own personal preference.
