Bergamot

To me this is a fall/winter fragrance and a true woody scent despite the name being bergamot. Love that it doesnt smell too masculine or feminine, it is very unisex and flattering for people that enjoys woody scents!

Just perfect. I don't think I've smelled a better bergamot fragrance. Perfect for a man in the summer. IMO, it's head and shoulders above Le Labo Bergamot 22, which everyone praises for some reason

Very fresh bergamot and black pepper in the opening. The pepper note is pretty strong and lasts a good while. After the pepper fades, I can smell sweet orange blossom, which is one of my favorite notes. Unfortunately, the orange blossom doesn't last long and then the fragrance just fades away. I was hoping for a little bit more from this.

Combine Le Labo’s A13 and B22 and you get this! It really is a more approachable blend of the two I mentioned - the bergamot isnt so in your face and the ambroxan is toned down. I like this, very easy to wear. However, I wont pay this price tag for something so simple and clean that just kind of stays on you as a second skin. Now if the longevity could be improved, maybe id be more interested...

All I get from this initially is alcohol. Then a medicinal smell. Big disappointment. Glad the longevity sucks or I’d be scrubbing this one off.

My final Rag & Bone fragrance to sample (of the octet) and it's not bad at all. In addition to the eponymous bergamot note, the petitgrain and pepper foster a diverse opening, herbal and ever so slightly spicy, before the orange blossom mixes in rather quickly and transforms this into more of a floral dry down. Woods and musk soften the impact of the dry down and this settles into something pleasant, though I believe I prefer the opening somewhat. Maybe it's the cashmere wood but there's something slightly odd about the dry down after the freshness of the bergamot has faded. Performance is mediocre, seemingly more the norm than the exception for this line. The scent is roughly average, but the pricing ($140 for 50ml) is prohibitive for many, not that I'd be springing for a bottle at a lower price point, anyway, but that's me. Sample before buying, as it's OK but odd. 6 out of 10

I'm so surprised to see that no one listed powder as one of the dominant notes. At first spray, reminds me of the older VS Very Sexy red perfumes. Peppery and sexy, then the fresh bergamot. I don't get much of the orange blossom that everyone mentions. When it has been worn and dried down after a few hours: 1) smells almost identical to Glossier's YOU and 2) is very powdery. The bottle has weight to it and feels expensive. Love the magnetic top so I don't lose while traveling.

I've never found myself to be anosmic until possibly now. Not sure if the tester bottle at Sephora was just a fluke, but from initial spray to the end, all I got from this was ambrox. As someone who loves scents like ambrox and iso e super, I loved it. It wasn't until I read the reviews here that I realized I was missing out on a smooth, juicy bergamot punch this whole time! I'll need to test out another bottle and update this review.

I'm so sad! I chose this scent because I love all of the notes it purportedly has. On me, it's all alcohol at the beginning (a LONG beginning), and then maybe an hr in, if I put my nose about 6 inches away, I get some nice cashmere. 7 inches, nada, 5 inches and less, old man, stay-away scent. Will try on the bf and hope for better :( I really want to hope it's just my chemical composition, because these are usually beautiful notes.

Do not like this fragrance at all, very heavy rubber smell that lingers for a while. Initial spray is alright for the first few seconds, then because very unpleasant. Would not recommend this.
