Monoï

When I first sprayed this, I thought to myself "now that's what I was looking for!" A beautiful creamy, soft frangipani flower dominates. I get a bit of the green notes and vanilla in the drydown, with a little similarity to Mugler Aura in that root beer note. But overall it feels like you just showered after a beach day in Hawaii, tucked a flower between your ear and wet hair, and opened the window of your seaside condo. I have samples of this and Ormonde Jayne Frangipani and while they are similar, they are not the same. I would like one but couldn't see having both. Frangipani keeps its structure more, while Monoi shifts its emphasis as the day wears on. Hard to say which I would prefer. Edit 8/10/23 I don't know what I was tripping when I wrote that this is similar to Frangipani. They are totally different fragrances. Frangipani is a dry powdery pink and white floral with a hint of lemon rind, and this is a wet green and creamy tropical floral.

Vacation in a bottle. Seeking refuge from wintery weather, trying this fragrance was such a treat. Reminds me of the solar white florals in JHAG's Lust For Sun, with a creamier vanilla on the dry down. No reason to own both, but each does a bit of a different dance on the skin. Had fun with this scent!

This is lovely. Rich, creamy, intoxicating. Reminds me of lush, dense forests that are brimming with life and thick humidity. Viscerally took me back to Costa Rica for some reason, maybe the frangipani. Smells like the white floral sister of Heretic's Angel's Trumpet. Sits quite nice on my skin, a beautiful tropical scent without being any kind of basic "sunscreen" perfume.

An absolutely beautiful tropical fragrance. It is creamy and Rich unfortunately it doesn't last that long on my skin and it doesn't very much project on my skin either from my understanding. That all being said this is a very beautiful vacation friendly fragrance. And if you're not going on vacation you can be mentally transported somewhere else.

This fragrance is very pleasant. I get a floral and powdery opening note and after the first two hours I smell the sandalwood and vanilla. Unfortunately this scent doesn't last very long on my skin.

While not great and not bad it lays somewhere in between a powdery summer scent and a very synthetic white floral scent. Just not for me.

Firstly I want to start this review by saying that I do think my sample went a little bad?? idk but it separated and then became a milky color and I forgot if the perfume was already milky but I don't think it was? With that said it smells good. Nothing crazy about it though, it has a light coconut milk sort of vibe with white florals throughout, very creamy but I find that on my skin it gets this old grandma powdery floral smell. not the most pleasant but not the worst. 5.5/10
