Oud Mangifera

Oud Mangifera is a stunning interpretation of oud that feels both exotic and effortlessly wearable. Performance is excellent, with impressive longevity and a beautiful scent trail that attracts compliments without overwhelming those around you. Oud Mangifera is a beautifully balanced mango-oud scent that feels both fresh and deep at the same time. The mango is airy and almost tea-like, giving it a breezy opening before the spicy florals blend seamlessly into the oud, incense, and leather base. What I love most is how well the mango and oud are balanced—neither overpowers the other, which is rare in fruity oud scents. It reminds me of a mix between God of Fire and Oud Maracuja but with its own unique twist. Inspired by India’s summer heat, it surprisingly works great in warm weather, but it really shines at night when the depth of the oud comes through.

This is an intriguing creation, one I could never have anticipated from the union of mango and oud. The blend unfolds into a smoky, subtly leathery accord that feels both exotic and refined. Remarkably versatile, it wears beautifully on any gender. Bold yet elegant, it’s a true statement fragrance that commands attention. For a new kid on the bloc, this composition is rather sophisticated!

For me, the fruity aspect of this fragrance is minimal. There is certainly more blackcurrant than mango by a mile. This to me is a slightly green feeling, even slightly smokey leathery patchouli fragrance with a touch of leathery oud. This does have a touch of sweetness to it and is long lasting and projects politely. It wasn't my scent profile but I can see someone who loves leather enjoying this. I added a comparison to Orchid Leather by VCA as that is the closest thing I've smelt to this, although this is much less fruity. This is nowhere near the harshness of Oud Maracujá for me. It's more gentle, but I see why people might compare the two.

A very beautifully crafted scent, didn't think perfumes with mango notes would be easy to wear but this one took me by surprise. The mango is subtle but also very present and dries down with a very beautiful incense type note. I have not come across a scent like this yet but do feel like it's a friendlier, fruitier version of Gissah's imperial valley. I'm a sucker for beast mode scents with big projection, but for those who love scents that aren't in your face, this one is perfect.

Smells almost identical to Oud Maracouja except it’s a bit darker and smoky. Definitely not as bright. Seems like there might be real oud used in here as well.

Oud Maracuja: the remix. The mango comes through clearly, but the foundation is undoubtedly inspired by Maison Crivelli and Jordi Fernandez's creation.
